Hi,
CANNOT_CREATE_COFILE : The cofile could not be created from the relevant data file. One possible error source is that <sys>adm does not have write authorization for the directory /usr/sap/trans/cofiles (UNIX).

Hi,
SPAM latest version available in SWDC in 32 only.
Just apply the SPAM patch and restart the PREPARE phase, it should get succeeded, I have done it many times.

From NW 04 SR1(SP9) to SP 16 upgrade - SPAM error

Hi,
I was doing Support pack via spam after NW 04 SR1 on AIX(Oracle).
When i was running SPAM in test Mode for Basis component
1) 10,11,12,13,14 were sucessful & it is failing at Support 15.
The error message is `Function <b>TREX_RFC_CONNECTION_CHECK(TREX_ADMIN_TOOL) does not fit into the existing function group ((TREX_UTIL|24))</b>
I have not installed TREX but the error message points to one of the function module wrongly placed in a function group related TREX.
On clicking SAP Message in action log it says there was problem in moving a function group in totality due to (one function being misplaced in the function group) so i need to delete that function from the function group & create a new function with the same name and record these activites in 2 separate change request and release them in the same order.
It says this could solve the problem. But i am wondering because i have not installed TREX and the support pack is giving the problem due to TREX.
Should ignore the error ?
How should i go about solving the problem.
Kindly help me, it's urgent.

hi friends, i have applied sapke60028 in dev,qly suceessfully. when iam trying to apply same patch in prd iam getting queue_not_empty error. i have checked tp and rfc connections ...everything is fine. how can i solve this error? plz give your adivce.my platform is db2/aix.(spam version 700/026)

Please try the follwoing:
in Se37,Use the function module OCS_RESET_QUEUE --- >execute --->IV_TOOL=SPAM, IV_FORCE=X
Deleted all the files from \usr\sap\trans\tmp..
Please make sure thatthere is no TP process
or R3trans process running in the system at Operating system level.
If any process exist, Please kill the process.

What is it means? I've tried dloading the new one but it still the same..pls points will be given.

Hi there,
'DISASSEMBLE' Error usually comes when your source file is corrupted. It may happen that antivirus s/w might corrupt the file.
Please try to use any third party s/w while you perform download alternatively you can also try to download it on another computer and then use it.

SPAM error after loss of connection

Hello,
we are updating ST-PI 2005_1_700 patches 4,5 and 6 in a single queue in our production system. We
were importing the queue and connection was lost in phase import_proper.We tryed to repeat the impor and it still returns the error.
Action log of the queue shows the following errors in the import phase
check requirements:
Error: no connect due to dbsl load lib failure
Error:environment variable dbms_type is not set
Error: connect to P01 failed
We have tryed several steps to resolve this issue but none worked:
1. Checked that tables TRBAT and TRJOB where empty
2. added SAPKITLQI6 to buffer
3. reimported the package via os command tp r3i SAPKITLQI6 P01

-Dclientcascade=yes -Drepeatonerror=8
the import finished with status 04 but spam is still returning the same
error.

I have opened a customer mesage in sapsupport. The reply i got is getting me a bit worried:
Dear Pedro,
As you have manipulated the buffer and executed tp r3i, my main
recommendation is that you restore a backup and start the support
package installation from scratch. Otherwise we cannot gurantee that the system will be consistent.
If that is not possible, I recommend the following:
- According SAP note 128126, set the OS environment variable dbms_type.
- If that does not solve the problem, please install the latest
kernel stack according to SAP note 19466
Please let us know the result.

SPAM error while applying ABAP patch 13

Hi all,
I was applying patches on neweaver system Windows oracle platform.
All patches till now successfully applied except patch 13 for ABAP and now situation is spam is running from alomost 24 Hrs and i have also tried to restart the same but all jobs RDD* jobs are running fine
except a job named <b>RDDEXECL</b> runs along with this particular patch import OCS_queue_import and both jobs runs for long long time.
I have never seen this job RDDEXECL before applying all patches , why this is appearing now and why patch is not proceeding further.
Can any body aware of this issue.

Spam error in IMPORT_PORPER

hello experts,
        i am applying patch SAP_APPL , the import first stopped
       in phase test import. it was saying "
2EETW104 "R3TRMSAGM7 " was repaired in this system and must not be imported.
2EETW104 "R3TRPROGRM06ELLB " was repaired in this system and must not be.
     but i had selected option "ignore test import errors" , but now in IMPORT_PROPER phase it is again showing the same error and stopped.
this is the relevent log:

     thank you for the quik response.
   it was helpfull, I had released the request related to RM06ELLB.
     started importing , and it worked fine for one.
     but there is an other one which says
"R3TRMSAGM7 " was repaired in this system and must not be imported.
unable to find out the related report which could be locked and
need to be released.

Hi,
I think there is some problem with function module (i.e. error :-Function J_1I7_USEREXIT_CHEQUENO_CERT (J1I7|56) does not fit into the existing function group ((J_1IEFILE|04)) |).
So it will make easy to open the OSS message for same.

Spam error in xpra_execution phase

hello experts,
         I am applying SAP BASIS PATCH (SAPKB70011) , I got stuck in EPRA_EXECUTION phase.
         It is going on running for more then 10 hours.
         i had restarted the import but still it is showing the same status.
         it is not writing any logs, I checked in SM50 it shows ON HOLD reason RFC, report SAPLSTPA.
         when i checked in SM66 it says CPIC STOPPED.
        I had even tried importing the patch in FOREGROUND, but in status bar it shows "TP BUFFER PREPARED OK " and going on running.
        unable to resolve the issue.
any suggestions

Hi,
Best thing is to raise an oss messasge to SAP,while applying support packages you should not play around.
I think you are applying on a windows system on you would be on oracle 10g or higher version,some of my friend faced the same probelm SAP has suggested to change some memory parameters which i am not very sure.

While updating spam/ saint update I am facing this error
Details of Error:
The installation was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase
DDIC_ACTIVATION, which the Add-On Installation Tool is unable to resolve
without your input.
After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the
import by choosing Continue in the queue display.
The following details help you to analyze the problem:
    -   Error in phase: DDIC_ACTIVATION
    -   Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
    -   Return code: 0008
    -   Error message: tp step A, return code
        0008
Notes on phase DDIC_ACTIVATION
In this phase the system activates the imported Data Dictionary objects.
This phase may terminate for several reasons:
o   TP_INTERFACE_FAILURE: The system was unable to call the tp
     interface.
o   TP_FAILURE: The system was unable to execute the tp program. For
     more information, see the SLOG or ALOG log file.
o   TP_STEP_FAILURE: The system was unable to perform the tp step DDIC
    activation successfully. To see the cause of the problem in the
    activation log, choose Logs.
    If you import two or more OCS packages in one installation queue,
    and activate the Data Dictionary objects in the incorrect sequence,
    this can cause errors. In this case, the activation errors disappear
    if you repeat the activation run. To do this, choose Continue.
The Add-On Installation Tool requires that the Change and Transport
System (CTS) be configured correctly. For more detailed information,
read the online documentation available from Help -> SAP Library ->
mySAP Technology Components -> SAP Web Application Server -> BC Change
and Transport System .

Error during application of scm 7.0 support pack

While applying support pack to our SCM 7.0 system (New Installation),
We encountered a SPAM error in xpra_execution phase, due to automatic
termination of job RDDEXECL scheduled by user id DDIC on client 000.
The details of the error are:
Message id: Brain
Message number : 366
Message type: A
Error: Error during SID assignment for characteristic 0REQUID (current
value 2)
We had a look at few notes mentioned by SAP support on 1319241. which
specifies a solution as
u201CIf you encounter the error message above, please run the Elementary
test - Compare Number Range and Maximum SID - for Master Data 0REQUID
in transaction RSRV. When it turns red, the error can be corrected by
pressing the "Correct Error" button.u201D
But we are already getting the light as green in the elementary test
for the Master Data 0REQUID in transaction RSRV, though we still
execute the same and problem is still the same i.e. RDDEXECL
program/job is getting terminated.

Just login to client which has been mentioned in table RSADMINA,then run rsrv you will get error.correct it.then you will be able to import support packs.
