Spam from my ipad ?

A few days back I received a mail from one of my contacts with the subject " confidential document" , I don't know what I was thinking but I opened it on my ipad mini. I immediately realized that it was a spam mail , I closed it and sent a note to the contact . Approximately one week later my contacts are getting the same mail but this time from my gmail id.
I checked my ipad mini and found a an icon which looks like a folder called " travel" whenever I open safari, I am not able to delete this icon. Except for this icon , safari works normally.
I reset my ipad mini completely erasing all contents and setting , if I use my backup to bring back the mini, I see the icon again but if I register the mini as a new ipad , the icon goes away.
I have sent a caution mail to all my contacts , but how do I get rid of the spam and how do I get rid of the icon on my mini .

If you're using iCloud for your e-mail account, it may be easier to delete as many messages via iCloud.com, as detailed in the article linked below. Should you be using a different provider's e-mail service, they will typically have a similar interface for managing e-mail.

I think there is not a good solution for it (yet). The best solution is to check if you mailserver provides a spam filter solution. I use Gmail and it provides a filter on the serverside. This means the mail is filtered befor I receive it on my iPad (and iPhone). You can also set up a gmail account as a exchange and push all the filtered folders.

Cant send emails from iPhone & iPad

since the change over from Yahoo to BTmail haven't been able to send emails from my iphone & to day can't send any from my ipad!!! Having tried some of the advice being posted still getting SMTP wrong address.
I now have had enogh I hate BT also I am getting no end of spam mail even after have marked it as spam & Blocked!!

Make sure all remnants of the previous settings are completely deleted, Apple devices appear to doggedly hang on to incorrect settings.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Cannot send email from my IPad Air

I suddenly cannot send email from my IPad Air. Keep getting message that my email recipient
was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. Don't understand what this means as I have been able to send email before.

Paula, in most cases this message appears when you are sending email from a ISP server not in the pop settings and SMTP settings in your email program.
In example if I send out email from my iPad I must be on my own isp's server to send. I have roadrunner but if I send email out using say Verizon's email server I will get a reject notice.
You did not say what email program you are using but if it is hotmail or yahoo or your isp's email in two of these email accounts there are stand alone apps which work much better than the stock email program on the phone.
If you are using road runner or another ISP email you must get the proper Pop3 (incoming) server settings and SMTP (send) settings from your ISP
You can then just go into the Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendar section and click on the email account and change to the proper settings from your ISP.
You could delete as you were told but why bother when only the sending and receiving settings need to be entered.
If the settings are correct, on an iPhone it tests the settings. If correct send an email. If incorrect you will need the proper settings from your ISP.
It is actually very easy to do.

No, sorry, the transfer is one way, from the card to the iPad. The iPad can't save back out to the card. You'll need to transfer the photos to a computer, get if necessary an SD adapter for the computer, and load them from there.
