Hi,
After upgrade, before running patches its always advisable to run Tablespace REORG.

SPAM : next action - Perform Adjustment
Dear All,
I am applying SAP-HR support pack SAPKE47080 on my SAP R/3 4.7. I am getting " Perform Adjustment " as a next action.
Import phase 'RUN_SPDD_?' (17.02.2009, 21:55:07)
Manual modification adjustment is neccessary
Interrupt the import for execution of manual actions (17.02.2009, 21:55:07)
This is the log entry of SPAM. I am unaware of this .
plz suggest what should i do ?
Thanks in advance.
Ankit GuptaSomeone (maybe you) adjusted a table or other dictionary objects - you have to check and adapt all those that they appear "green" again.
When done, go back to SPAM and continue SP application.

SPAM in "perform adjustment mode" for a week
Hello
I have left SPAM in "perform adjustment mode" for a week or so. I wander is it anything needed to be checked now before runiining it further?
(there are just HR localisation packages but stilll/where can I see if anything has to be done i.e. if some modification went throug in this week)
Thank you in advance
JanHi Jan,
Execute SPAU, adjust the objects which are applicable.
These adjustments needs to be done before you actually release the system to endusers.
Refer to SCN document for SPAU adjustments

Error in Spam / saint update TP_STEP_FAILURE and DDIC_ACTIVATION
Dear All,
While updating spam/ saint update I am facing this error
Details of Error:
The installation was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase
DDIC_ACTIVATION, which the Add-On Installation Tool is unable to resolve
without your input.
After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the
import by choosing Continue in the queue display.
The following details help you to analyze the problem:
- Error in phase: DDIC_ACTIVATION
- Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
- Return code: 0008
- Error message: tp step A, return code
0008
Notes on phase DDIC_ACTIVATION
In this phase the system activates the imported Data Dictionary objects.
This phase may terminate for several reasons:
o TP_INTERFACE_FAILURE: The system was unable to call the tp
interface.
o TP_FAILURE: The system was unable to execute the tp program. For
more information, see the SLOG or ALOG log file.
o TP_STEP_FAILURE: The system was unable to perform the tp step DDIC
activation successfully. To see the cause of the problem in the
activation log, choose Logs.
If you import two or more OCS packages in one installation queue,
and activate the Data Dictionary objects in the incorrect sequence,
this can cause errors. In this case, the activation errors disappear
if you repeat the activation run. To do this, choose Continue.
The Add-On Installation Tool requires that the Change and Transport
System (CTS) be configured correctly. For more detailed information,
read the online documentation available from Help -> SAP Library ->
mySAP Technology Components -> SAP Web Application Server -> BC Change
and Transport System .
A list of the most important SAP Notes for Online Correction Support
(OCS) is available in SAP Note 97620, which is updated regularly.
Please help me
Thanks

Hi
I am importing a group of Support Packs into our DEV environment to bring the landscape uptodate, we are running NW04 on Windows 2003 64 bit & SQL Server 2000, I've updated to the latest SPAM and Kernel before the Support Packs.
When importing in SPAM I have used the calculate queue method, all looks ok, when I perform the import, in the phase TEST IMPORT i get the following error for Support Pack SP 12 for EA-FINSERV 5.00 :
<b>
Function MAP2I_BAPICMS_STR_MOV_INS_CRT (CMS_BUSISB104_MAPPI does not fit into the existing function group ((CMS_BUSISB10)</b>
The only option I am given is to repeat the phase, I've repeated this a few times and get the same error on TEST IMPORT. I'm new to NW04 640 BASIS, but I know from running 4.6X system that you can re-run phases and quite often they work correctly 2nd time round, is it worth changing SPAM to not stop on test import errors ? as I know objects required can be in earlier support packs (i'm applying supports pack EA-FINSERV 5.00 08 to 11 as part of the queue before 12 which is giving me the error.
I've checked on OSS and cannot find any notes on this error/support pack.
Thanks.nope, not tried with ignore test errors yet, wanted to check opinions here to see if thats the next step to try, or if there's anything else I could try ?

How do I create a filter that bypasses the in page and goes directly to spam rather to delete?
How do I create a filter that bypasses the in page and goes directly to spam rather than to delete?
From your question I'm going to guess you are talking about Mac Mail.
If you are talking about a RULE then the "Perform the following actions:" would be to select "Move Message" to mailbox "Junk" instead of "Delete Message."
If you are talking about something else then please give more information. -
Hyper-V over SMB 3.0 poor performance on 1GB NIC's without RDMA
This is a bit of a repost as the last time I tried to troubleshoot this my question got hijacked by people spamming alternative solutions (starwind)
For my own reasons I am currently evaluating Hyper-V over SMB with a view to designing our new production cluster based on this technology. Given our budget and resources a SoFS makes perfect sense.
The problem I have is that in all my testing, as soon as I host a VM's files on a SMB 3.0 server (SoFS or standalone) I am not getting the performance I should over the network.
My testing so far:
4 different decent spec machines with 4-8gb ram, dual/quad core cpu's,
Test machines are mostly Server 2012 R2 with one Windows 8.1 hyper-v host thrown in for extra measure.
Storage is a variety of HD and SSD and are easily capable of handling >100MB/s of traffic and 5k+ IOPS
Have tested storage configurations as standalone, storage spaces (mirrored, spanned and with tiering)
All storage is performing as expected in each configuration.
Multiple 1GB NIC's from broadcom, intel and atheros. The broadcoms are server grade dual port adapters.
Switching has been a combination of HP E5400zl, HP 2810 and even direct connect with crossover cables.
Have tried stand alone NIC's, teamed NIC's and even storage through hyper-v extensible switch.
File copies between machines will easily max out 1GB in any direction.
VM's hosted locally show internal benchmark performance in line with roughly 90% of underlying storage performance.
Tested with dynamic and fixed vhdx's
NIC's have been used in combinations of RSS and TCP offload enabled/disabled.
Whenever I host VM files on a different server from where it is running, I observe the following:
Write speeds within the VM to any attached vhd's are severely effected and run at around 30-50% of 1GB
Read Speeds are not as badly effected but just about manager to hit 70% of 1GB
Random IOPS are not noticeably affected.
Running multiple tests at the same time over the same 1GB links results in the same total through put.
The same results are observed no matter which machine hosts the vm or the vhdx files.
Any host involved in a test will show a healthy amount of cpu time allocated to hardware interupts. On a 6 core 3.8Ghz cpu this is around 5% of total. On the slowest machine (dual core 2.4Ghz) this is roughly 30% of cpu load.
Things I have yet to test:
Gen 1 VM's
VM's running anything other than server 2012 r2
Running the tests on actual server hardware. (hard as most of ours are in production use)
Is there a default QoS or IOPS limit when SMB detects hyper-v traffic? I just can't wrap my head around how all the tests are seeing an identical bottleneck as soon as the storage traffic goes over smb.
What else should I be looking for? There must be something obvious that I am overlooking!By nature of a SOFS reads are really good, but there is no write cache, SOFS only seems to perform well with Disk mirroring, this improves the write performance and redundancy but halves your disk capacity.
Mirror (RAID1 or RAID10) actually REDUCES number of IOPS. With read every spindle takes part in I/O request processing (assumimg I/O is big enough to cover the stripe) so you multiply IOPS and MBps on amount of spindles you have in a RAID group and all writes
need to go to the duplicated locations that's why READS are fast and WRITES are slow (1/2 of the read performance). This is absolutely basic thing and SoFS layered on top can do nothing to change this.
StarWind iSCSI SAN & NAS
Not wanting to put the cat amongst the pigeons, this isn't strictly true, RAID 1 and 10 give you the best IOP performance of any Raid group, this is why all the best performing SQL Cluster use RAID 10 for most of their storage requirements,

Serious performance problem - SELECT DISTINCT x.JDOCLASSX FROM x
I am noticing a huge performance problem when trying to access a member that
is lazily loaded:
MonitorStatus previousStatus = m.getStatus();
This causes the following query to be executed:
SELECT DISTINCT MONITORSTATUSX.JDOCLASSX FROM MONITORSTATUSX
This table has 3 million records and this SQL statement takes 3 minutes to
execute! Even worse, my app heavily uses threads, so this statement is
executed in each of the 32 threads. As a result the application stops.
Is there any way that I can optimize this? And more importantly, can Kodo
handle a multithreaded app like this with a huge database? I've been having
a lot of performance problems since I've started doing stress & load
testing, and I'm thinking Kodo isn't ready for this type of application.
Thanks,
MichaelYou can prevent this from happening by explicitly enumerating the valid
persistent types in a property. See
http://docs.solarmetric.com/manual.html#com.solarmetric.kodo.PersistentTypes
for details.
>
Inconveniently, this nugget of performance info is not listed in the
optimization guide. I'll add in an entry for it.This setting did in fact prevent the query from running which fixed the
problem. It definitely belongs in the optimization guide.
And more importantly, can Kodo
handle a multithreaded app like this with a huge database? I've beenhaving
a lot of performance problems since I've started doing stress & load
testing, and I'm thinking Kodo isn't ready for this type of application.I'd like to find out more information about details about your issues. We
do a decent amount of stress / load testing internally, but there are
always use cases that we don't test. Please send me an email (I'm assuming
that [email protected] is not really your address) and let's
figure out some way to do an analysis of what you're seeing. This email is just for posting to usenet, to avoid spam. I'm now running my
app through stress/load testing so I hope to discover any remaining issues
before going into production. As of this morning the system seems to be
performing quite well. Now the biggest performance problem for me is the
lack of what I think is called "outer join". I know you'll have this in 3.0
but I'm suprised you don't have this already because not having it really
affects performance. I already had to code one query by hand with JDBC due
to this. It was taking 15+ minutes with Kodo and with my JDBC version it
only takes a few seconds. There are lots of anti-JDO people and performance
issues like this really give them ammunition. Overall I just have the
impression that Kodo hasn't been used on many really large scale projects
with databases that have millions of records.
Thanks for configuration fix,

Blank sender/subject spam - how to get mail to rec as junk?
I'm getting hammered again in every mailbox with these blank sender/subject/body spam emails. I asked about a year ago and the word was to buy a spam filter software program. I'd rather get a script to do this. I recall I had one which I can't find. Rules doesn't have the ability to do this.

I was thinking about updating SPAM/SAINT by downloading newest version and perform the update in SPAM transaction, but option 'Import SPAM/SAINT update' for some reason is disabled. Why? What can I do to go ahead with update?
Thanks in advance.Indeed using client 000 it is enabled. Firstly I had some errors with tpparam, but already fixed it. Now I'm facing:

Spamassassin, auto whitelist, backscatter and spam problems.
My Mail is handled by an XServe with Mac OS X Server 10.5.5.
I have many email problems. One of them is an email backscatter problem. Sometimes, but not always, when email is identified as spam, an email gets sent back to the "From" address saying it is spam. This email seems to come directly from my servers, which is bad as spammers usually spoof the From addresses. I have modified amavisd.conf as per below. I changed all the D_BOUNCE instances to D_REJECT, yet still emails seeming to come from my server gets sent back to the From address. This is the relevant bit out of amavisd.conf:
$finalvirusdestiny = D_REJECT;
$finalbanneddestiny = D_REJECT;
$finalspamdestiny = D_REJECT;
$finalbad_headerdestiny = D_PASS;
I tried testing this by sending lots of emails that with keywords in them that rules are set up for to add enough points so that such emails get blocked, however, these emails seem to come through. At first I thought this was the AWL's doing, but by examining the headers of the email, there is no X-SPAM header as I'd expect, which makes me believe Spamassassin has not checked the email?? What can cause emails to bypass spamassassin and how do I get spamassassin to check every email? This seems to be a cause of my other problem of a lot of SPAM passing through the spam filter.
I am also having a lot of trouble understanding the SA AWL.
Is there any way I can change the scores in the AWL database?
I have tried:
spamassassin --remove-addr-from-whitelist=[email protected]
This outputs a message saying it removed an address from the whitelist, but in reality does absolutely nothing. Way I can tell is by using this script which still shows the same entries for the relevant email address:
http://spamassassin.apache.org/full/3.0.x/dist/tools/check_whitelist
I'm stumped. Any answers/thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated. Please help!postfix receives the mail, then passes it to amavisd.
amavisd decides what scanners to use (clamav/spamassassin and possibly others) and performs the scan
amavisd might not scan the messages if certain criteria are met (size too large, white list, etc), this is all configurable in amavisd.conf. For example, the size threshold by default may be too small, so messages with large graphics may not be scanned.
after amavis processes the message, depending on the config of amavis, certain actions are performed (add headers, discard, reject, bounce, etc).
then amavisd passes the mail back to postfix
postfix delivers any deliverable mail to cyrus/dovecot and/or processes and bounce/rejection.
a rejection doesn't work in the above scenario because it's already been accepted by postfix.
best to discard.
if you would like to learn more about the flow and logic, look at the amavisd config file
/etc/amavisd.conf
and check out the docs

Hi Mrcassone83,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend starting with the steps in this article if a third-party application or add-on is causing unexpected advertisements or pop-up windows to appear when you launch Safari:

SPAM rules on Inbox after migration from Exchange 2003 - GFI Mail Essentials
Hello,
Few times ago, we had an Exchange 2003 server with mailboxes which were configured with "rulemgmt.exe" tool (from Microsoft ?) to manage users mailboxes and SPAM redirection in these mailboxes.
GFI MailEssentials (antispam) was installed on a mail relay and once a SPAM was detected, it was redirected in Inbox/SPAM folder on user mailbox thanks to the rule defined by "rulemgmt.exe".
Recently, we did a migration from Exchange 2003 to 2010. Unfortunately, "rulemgmt.exe" doesn't work anymore on Exchange 2010 and it's replaced by a "Transport Rule" which works fine but only to redirect SPAMs in Junk e-mail folder. However,
if I don't set up this transport rule, SPAM redirection still works from mailboxes which were created on Exchange 2003 and e-mails go to Inbox/SPAM as before... For new mailboxes on Exchange 2010, it doesn't work which is normal.
My question is: for old mailboxes from Exchange 2003, where are the SPAM redirection (Inbox/SPAM) information stored? I don't understand how SPAM can be redirected if the information is not stored in Exchange...
The aim is to use Junk E-mail folder with the Transport Rule at the end everywhere and to clean old rules used for Inbox/SPAM.
I contact GFI support but they couldn't help me.
Any idea?
Regards,
DeltaSM
Those old mailboxes probably have old rules still set. You can use the Outlook.exe /cleanrules switch to purge those old rules. This would require that you create an outlook profile for each of those impacted mailboxes.
You can also look at using MFCMapi -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2860406/en-us
When that is done, you might want to perform a Clean-MailboxDatabase and then look at the mailbox rules (get-inboxrule). If that does not work for you, could be something else within the mailbox and as such, I would recommend working with MS to get
more info.

<Email Edited by Host>Firstly, it's a really bad idea to post your email address (or anyone else's) - it's an invitation to even more spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove them.
When people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two things that can happen. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. Usually the first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. In this case it looks as if this is what has happened but you've also got onto their mailing list so you're getting it directly.
There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam.
