Spanish layout keyboard

Hello everybody,
sure that will be a simple question, but I was unable to find the spanish special characters in my keyboard.
In the set up, I can see that the used keyboard it's the spanish one, but don't show the spanish layout.
Anyone that can help me?

I totally agree with the starter of this thread. I was baffled to realize that the manual does not say NOTHING about this vital information. Mac is very user friendly but the documentation is equally important to be user friendly, i.e informative so you do not have to look for the info in message boards.
Have you configured any international keyboards? I guess that has to be done first in "Settings/General/Keyboard/International Keyboards. In the list, toggle the ones you need and then in "Keyboard mode" i.e when entering data into your Ipod, you press the globe to change language of your keyboard. This info can be found in the manual. I hope this is what you were asking for.

Getting t400s with spanish layout keyboard in california

Hello,
I am a Spaniard currently working in the north of San Francisco and want to know if I can get the new T400s with the Spanish layout in the keyboard (preferred "Spanish from Spain", though I could manage with "Latin America" layout).
Since I'm here, it doesn't make sense to buy my laptop in Spain, so I wonder what can I do.
Any suggestion will be welcomed.

Hello again,
When I try to buy any of the listed FRU numbers for the particular part I'm looking for ("Spanish" keyboard for the T400s: FRUs 45N2081, 45N2168 and 45N2221, as listed in here), nobody seems to find the part in the phone 18003887080 (then extension 2, then 1, then finally 1).
Those FRU don't even come up in the system of the agents who attended me, so I can't buy the part I'm interested in. Finally, one person in support told me the lack of those FRU numbers for one specific part of the T400s could be because the computer is fairly new.
I don't know what to do: to wait for the part I'm looking for to appear?
I don't even have the confirmation that part will be available in the US anytime soon.
What would you recommend?

Spanish layout on English keyboard

I have a new MacBook white and it ships with US keyboard layout; my native language is Spanish and I want to use the Spanish ISO keyboard layout anyway. I set up the layout properly and everything works fine: when I press the ";2 key I get the "ñ" (and that's how it should be).
The problem is that I cannot get the "\" (backslash) character.
In a desktop keyboard, the backslash is gotten pressing OPTION-"the key at the left-top", but when I press that in my MacBook, I get a "less or equal" sign.
Do you know how can I get the backslash with some keyboard combination?

Ernesto, I think you'll find that Command-option-6 will give you the \ that you want. For future reference, it's fairly easy to find what you need by using the Keyboard Viewer. How do you see that? The simplest way is to go to System Preferences > International > Input Menu tab. There, put a check mark into "Keyboard Viewer" and also into "Show input menu in menu bar" at the bottom of the pane. Now also put a check mark into "Spanish" in the scrollable list in the center.
At this point you should see a Spanish flag in your menu bar, no matter what application you're using. When you can't find a character you need to type, simply go to the flag, click and select Keyboard Viewer. By playing around with the shift, option, command and control keys (alone and in combination) you should be able to find what you need.

I can't find Delete button on Spanish Wireless KeyBoard

Hi, I am totally new with iMAC.
I can't imagine that I just brought iPhone 4 a 3 years ago.
Now I brought 3 iPad after that then, finally I have iMAC..
but entire of my life I never used this Cool stuff but I am still not used to on it.
Please anyone help me that I have Spanish Wireless keyboard and I can't find Delete button.
I can see the narrow button on my right upper side but I think that is not working like Delete function.
Anyone could help me please??

Can i replace IT layout keyboard with US layout?

Hi, I have got an old MacBook Pro (mod A1181). My IT Keyboard is not working anymore and I want to replace it. I have found a US layout keyboard (belonging to the same family - A1181) but having a different layout.
Can i replace it?

It will make it easier to help you w/ your problem to know know more information about your computer; size, exact year built, RAM installed and OS you're running. Any history prior to you incident would also be helpful.
Even within the same family the keyboards can have a different part number.

Spanish Lenovo Keyboard

Recently, I purchase a Lenovo spanish keyboard, model # LXH-JME 7597P. Although, I changed the Windows keyboard settings to Spanish, my Lenovo PC doesn't recognize the keyboard as a Spanish keyboard; i.e., it still continues to recognize it as an English keyboard.
Does anyone know how I may be able to correctly install the Spanish keyboard?

I'd like to buy a Macbook Air in Japan, however prefer the US key layout. E.g. @ sign should be at 2. Does the Japan version have different size keys/layout? If so I guess a US keyboard cover wont fit

I just bought a new iBook G4 with british layout (I moved to England), I'm Italian and not used to british keyboard, If I buy a Italian iBook keyboard is it possible to install it instead the british one or is it a problem?
And where could I buy an italian iBook keyboard???

Technically yes you can. The problem will be finding an Italian keyboard. Usually these are specific to countries and can be tough to find. You might want to try eBay and see if you can find a damaged iBook from italy that still has the keyboard in tack. Apple Service parts, such as the keyboard, are usually pretty expensive.

Anyone know a fully functional PC layout keyboard for use with Mountain lion 10.8.3?

Hi, I'm currently switching between a PC laptop and a Mac mini desktop and I'm always typing the wrong keys as some are in different places on the different keyboards. For example " is where @ is. I'd really like a keyboard with a PC layout where Mountain Lion will recognise and respect the PC layout. I've heard many models of PC keyboard are compatable with Mac but not fully functional and don't recognise that the keys are in different places (for instance Microsoft 800 Wireless desktop). I wondered if anyone knew of a PC keyboard which was fully functional? Thanks.

My old Brother printer has churned out 60,000 pages and is still going strong. And it has worked without problems on every OS version since 10.4. That model is no longer being sold, but i would recommend the Brother brand without reservation.

Why in spanish the keyboard doesn´t work Q or A letter

That side doesn´t work sometimes in games, anybody that the same problem?

I get erratic loss of input capability into my Touch. On some days in the browser ,the W key doesn't work but the adjacent Q or E keys work just fine when I slide my finger back and forth. A few hours later, it works just fine. Last night I was entering a new location in the weather, the keyboard worked fine but after a search, it would not let me click on the new location to set it up. I could get a blue background but it would not click to complete the entry. Again, I tried it 20 min later and it worked just fine. Same thing on iTunes, there are occasions when the screen is unresponsive to my input and other times when it works just fine. I have one of those plastic covers sold at the Apple store to protect the screen and maybe that's the problem. However, recent rollerblade fall proved the worth of the protector as the cover was deeply scored but the screen was fine (was erratic before fall, not caused by fall). Touch is not jailbroken. Don't want to give up the protection film but I'm not sure whether there is a problem with my iTouch or just with my touch.
