Spanned AVCHD Clips on two different cards

Is there any way to get Premiere Pro CS5.5 to recgonize spanned AVCHD clips that are on two different SD Cards?  I shoot with a Panasonic AG-AC160 that has dual SD cards slots.  It can span record from one slot to the next.  I was just wondering if anyone has figured out any way to get Premiere to recgonize that the clips from the end of card one and start of card two are actually spanned and join them together like it does with spanned clips that are on One card?
Thanks
Phil

The problem is that I can only open one "PRIVATE" folder at a time in the Media Browser (As far as I know) so then I import all the clips from the first PRIVATE folder and then I have to open the second PRIVATE folder and import all of those clips.
Thanks
Phil

  • Fixing a spanned AVCHD clip

Before I knew better with respect to spanned AVCHD files, I renamed the clips prior to copying (not importing, unfortunately) them to the folder from which I intended to work on them. I shot them on a Sony NX5U camera.
I now understand that the entire directory structure from the CF card must be copied, not just the clips.
That directory structure STILL exists. The only thing that has changed is the file names on the clips.
Does anybody know of a way to go back and make it as if I had never made this mistake to begin with so that I might now import the clips the proper way?
    Many thanks.

    Hello,
I am not sure if this is the right thread, but I am hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. Karsten, perhaps your reply on 31 July is a solution?
About a year ago I purchased a new MacBook. Two months ago I received a Panasonic TS1 as a gift. Naturally, I had problems with the AVCHD video (at least twice the normal speed) when imported into iMovie. Because I did not have iMovie 8.0 in the suite of applications that came with the computer, I recently purchased iLife 09. I have since updated to iMovie 8.0.4. My problem is that the video is still too fast. I don't know what to do or how to fix it - I would have thought that when I updated the software it would have fixed the video clips to play at the correct speed. My bigger problem is that I deleted the video off of my camera when I initially imported because at that time I didn't realize there was a problem between the video and iMovie 7.0.?. Therefore the only footage is that which is in iMovie. Any suggestions? Perhaps if 8.0.4 does not automatically fix the speed, I can somehow pull the video out of iMovie and import it back in? I would really like to fix this as this is the only video footage I have of my 5 year-old singing at a school play. I am with the Army and away from him so I would like to make a movie so he can see it.
    Appreciate any thoughts or advice.
    Thank you.

  • Is it possible to order two different cards at the same time? I do not want to pay shipping costs twice.

Hi, here's my problem. I made two different Christmas cards that I want to hand over in person. When I order one however, I can not select the other one, despite the fact that I want them both delivered to the same adress. Is there a way to order both as a bundle?
    Thanks a lot
    Best, Stefan

    Afraid not.

  • Synchronize two counters two different cards DAQMX

I've made a simple program to synchronize the generation of two pulse trains created on different cards (6110 and 6601). When I acquire the pulses they are in fact synchronized but one of the two pulse trains starts always before the other. Is it possible to make them start together? You find the vi attached.
    Thanks for any suggestion.

You should use a start trigger on your 6601 task. As the start trigger you should use the same signal that is being used as the start for the 6110 task.
    Hope this helps.

  • MSI N770 TF/OC 2gb - two different cards, and different bios? what is newest?

I have two N770 OC TF 2gb MSI video cards
    card 1:
    bios version 80.04.C3.00.1F
    Serial - 602-V282-20SB1305041341
    card 2:
    bios version 80.04.C3.00.21
    serial - 602-V282-220B1309005022
are these correct? The first card i purchased earlier this year, the second I got just 3 weeks ago. I'm experiencing stutters under SLI and wondering if bios has anything to do with it, as Assassins Creed Black flag seems smoother on one card compared to SLI, and using the newest beta drivers 331.93
anyhow, i would like to be sure to have the most ideal bios for each card, any suggestions? or am I ok?

    For both use this: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=172806.0;attach=11958
Still unlikely this fixes anything. As stutters is not quite wll described it can be anything including usual SLI behavior of unsteady frames (microstuttering).

  • Can I use two different cards in the store

I have a small business and need to purchase some apps with my business credit card and then be able to buy my personal apps with my own credit card.  How can I do this?  Do I have to set up a seperate account for my business purchases?

Technically yes, the Licensed Copy End User License Agreement for the apps in the MAS is a consumer agreement, not a business use license. So it would be better for you not to co-mingle them. And it may make things easier for your accountant.

  • Security Code not accepted on two different cards

The problem started just as my card was expiring.  I went in to update, and it will not accept the secuity code on my ING Direct Master Card Debit.  After reading other posts with similar problems, I tried my Visa Debit Card from a local bank.  It was also regected.  I want to pay the bill and update my apps, but I'm unable to do anything with my iPad at this time.

This error message normally occurs when the jwalk_ie.cab or the jwalk.jar file cannot be found. Have you checked that the codebase & archive on the applet tag are pointing to the correct location ?

  • Working with only specific AVCHD clips from a large media card?

I have a 64GB SDHC card with lots of AVCHD clips on them. I brought some into Premiere CS6 through the Media Browser to edit together, though I'm not sure what I want to do with them long term. Since they all reside on the card within the folder structure.
    1. What is the best way to just copy specific files from the media card so I can work on them more later without having to copy over the entire 50-64GB folder of all the AVCHD files?
    2. Is there a way to bring just the clips that I want to work with in CS6, convert them over into another format (lossless) so I can just use those clips again later?
    Thanks.

Sometime you just got to try stuff.
ITs NLE (non destuctive) and you wont break it.
Spanned AVCHD clips are of a duration and file size that a single long continuous take may  require two or more files to record.  The AVCD folder structure has "bits" in it that facilitates this.
MOS = without sound.  Therefore the video does not need to link to any other part of the AVCHD Folder Structure

  • Is it possible to add two different audio tracks to a clip which can be selected separately in the final clip?

I'm trying to edit a short clip with two different audio tracks (audio in two different languages). The tracks are not supposed to overlap but rather should be able to be selected individually in the final clip. Do I need special software or is iMovie actually able to accomplish that?

I seriously doubt that this is possible. I think when you get this kind of option on a DVD, the audio and video streams are encoded separately and you run the language of your choice by choosing it from a menu.

  • Mac Mini OS 10.4.11 won't recognize SanDIsk MIcro SD Card 2 different card

I am trying to add files to a 4G Transflash card using a Transflash SanDisk Adapter. I have tried two different card readers and the mini never recognizes the card as a drive. I formatted the card in the cell phone, so the cell phone recognizes the card but my computer won't. I tried it on an old Compaq PC and it looked like the computer was going to recognize the card but the computer crashed, typical of that old PC.
I have all the right things checked under Finder>Preferences>Sidebar. I tried using a SanDIsk Card reader and another one, unknown brand. I took back the Transflash Card and got a new one with the same negative results.
    Please help.

Ah, I saw this earlier and wondered if it might be SDHC.
Some SD readers can't read the silly new SDHC format...

Another thing to try is if you can connect your Phone to the Mac, open up Image Capture APP and see if that recognizes it.

  • AVCHD clips imported in FCE play way too fast.

    Hi there,
I am a video newbie, I am trying to import AVCHD clips from an SDHC card into FCE using log and transfer method. All is well until I start working on the clip in the viewer, the clip is for sure playing at 2X speed, I am not sure why. It might be a simple solution, but I sure can not find a solution. The clips I am testing with were shot on a Lumix TS-1. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Labib

From memory AVCHD, I can't remember the exact settings as far as frame rate and such, I can sure check it when I get back home. Do I have to set the frame rate and such into the capture preferences before I import?
    Thanks for the reply

  • Can the 2008 Mac Pro (MacPro3,1) support two graphics cards?

I have a 2008 Mac Pro, I want to know if I can run two graphics cards in tandem?
I currently have a ATI Radeon HD 5770 installed for 1GB of graphics, I want to find out if It's also possible to run a second card to increase the total graphics power of the machine?
    I see two possible options;
First, run the HD 5770 in one of the PCI Express 16-lane slots, and the old NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT in the other available 16-lane slot; for a total of 1.5GB GPU power.
Second, would it be possible to run two ATI Radeon HD 5770 cards, in each 16-lane slot; for a total of 2GB of GPU power.
I realise that this would first require a power supply upgrade, as my machine only shipped with a 318 watt power supply. (Which would not support running two high-end cards.)
    It would be very useful.
    Thank you for any advice.
    Regards,
    Peter.

    Thanks for the information!
I wouldn't have thought there would be enough power capacity in the current supply to run two cards. - Would this mean OS X will only see one card whilst the other sits as inactive hardware? (Or does it mean that that the system will see two different cards?
    For example:
Would it be possible to use one card for a graphics intensive process in Adobe Photoshop, and use the other card separately with another application such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro?
Also, how would a 64-bit application like Adobe Photoshop which has GPU acceleration utilise the setup? Would it only be ably to use one card at a time (per process)? Or could it utilise both cards at once to in essence get twice the graphics acceleration than if only using a single card?
Simply, can OS X assign each card to a different application/process? I hope that makes sense.
Also, any thoughts on how Bootcamp would handle two cards (since crossfire should be available in Windows?
Before I commit to purchasing a second 5770, would you seeing if my Mac will run the current card + the old NVIDIA 8800 gt?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Controlling Two Network Card by LabVIEW

    Hi,
I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 and Windows XP.
I am intending to use LabVIEW to control a PC with 2 network cards in it.
I want to send TCP/IP packet out from one network card,
and receive the packet from another network card.
Do I have to change the confguration of the XP system?
How can I assign those two different cards to send and receive individually?
Can anyone tell or suggest what to do for me
    Thank you very much~ ^^

You will not be able to directly prohibit the network cards from receiving or transmitting. You can define your network routes on the PC to route the traffic in the manner you want. Each network adapter will need to have its own IP address. NI's Internet Tool kit has a few issues, most notably the FTP VIs, when using multiple NICs. In addition, any DNS requests made will be routed to the primary network card. Windows determines which interface it thinks is the primary interface. From a code perspective using the native TCP or UDP VIs you will not have to do anything special.
