Spare parts - LCD display for HP OMNI27

Hi,
2 years ago I bought a HP Omni 27-1000eb, about 3 months ago I noticed some troubles with the 27" display (non touch).
It starts buzzing (comes out of the bottom of the screen) and then shuts down while the PC continues functioning normally.
I have to (hard)restart the pc to use the display again otherwise I will never get the screen up and running again. It seems like the display fails to stay on, or maybe a malfunction.
Display drivers and graphic drivers ok.
Does someone know about this problem?
Should I replace the display? if yes...where can I find such a sparepart.
regards

  • LCD display for Hardware Monitor?

    Hardware Monitor...
    http://www.bresink.com/osx/HardwareMonitor.html
...supports certain external, USB-based LCD displays for providing system status. Is anyone using one?
Can anyone recommend a nice, already-assembled unit to set on the desk here? Thanks.
    blakespot

Sadly none of the above unit will work w/ Hardware Monitor.
I just received this email from the author after inquiring about the above displays compatibility w/ Hardware Monitor:
Unfortunately, these vendors are completely unknown in Europe and
they only offer drivers for Windows, so no support for these modules
    is possible so far.
If not, is there a ready-made, external (already in a little
    enclosure) unit that does?
No, I am currently not aware of any ready-made units. Unfortunately
the market for these devices seems to be so small that no worldwide
vendor has established an industry standard yet, or could provide
an open software layer for Mac OS X. When such a solution exists, we
will immediately support it in Hardware Monitor.
For more information about LCD unit support please see the chapter
"Controlling external alphanumeric displays" in the reference manual
    of Hardware Monitor.

  • Replacement LCD display for AIO

HP Omni 120-1034 fell forward on the desk, and the LCD display is cracked. The pc is out of warranty so I want to replace the screen but need to find the part number  and a source for the part itself. Any suggestions welcome, I'm findin the HP support site less than helpful so am turning to the forum. Thanks so much.

    Spoiler (Highlight to read)
Maybe have your screen replaced by Lenovo Support. Replacing a tablet LCD can be tricky maybe.

  • LCD display for graphic designer/photographer

My Mac Pro two 2.26 GHz Quad Core should arrive in a couple of days. I'm now in the process of choosing a 22"-24" LCD display monitor. As I am not attracted to the Apple 24" display's glossy surface, I've narrowed display choices down to these:
    1) EIZO CG222W 22.2" Widescreen LCD
    2) NEC MultiSync 2490WUXi 24.1" Widescreen LCD
Anyone using or know anything about either of these? I understand they are popular with graphic artists and photographers, but I am particularly interested in learning of any compatibility issues with the early 2009 Mac Pro/OS 10.5.6. NEC's support website notes possible compatibility issue between its 2490WUXi SpectraView II calibration software and OS 10.5.6.
If I chose the NEC model, could I use another calibration software/colorimeter with it instead? If not, then I would just go with the EIZO.

just got my two 26" NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi2 and hooked them up to a new nehalem mac pro with a radeon 4870. the monitors work perfectly. all i can say is wow. the color accuracy out of the box is great. the brightness uniformity is incredible. the blacks are really black and the whites are perfectly white. i've owned two 23" apple cinema displays and two 24" led cinema displays in the past, and these NECs look much better. very professional.
i do have two gripes with the 26" NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi2. its cased in some sort of plastic. the base is made from the same material. i'd rather have an aluminum casing and base like apple provides. the other grip is that there is a lot of flex where the actual panel attaches to the base. its a bit wobbly. this i don't like at all. they could have done something better with this. otherwise no other problems to report.
but all in all, the image on the screen is so good, that i won't complain anymore from this day forward. an absolutely stunning image on these screens. love em'!!

  • LCD Displays for T20, T21, and T23

Have three T20 and T21 laptops with bad mother boards and good LCD displays.  Have two T23 laptops with good motherboards and blank LCD displays (but work great with an external monitor).
Can T20 and T21 LCD displays be removed and installed and operate on a T23?
    Thanks!

    Yes they are swappable.
Just make sure that resolutions match, namely, if you're installing a XGA screen from a T20 into a T23 which had a SXGA+ LCD (not all of them do, run the model numbers on Lenovo's site) you'll have to use the appropriate LCD cable and inverter.
    Good luck.

  • What is best way to get LCD display for Mac mini?

Just got Mac Mini but when I connect it to my Samsung LCD the display quality is crap.  What is the best way to get HD resolution, (maximum quality) from this set up?

    Thanks,
I did try all of the settings on the LCD display.  It is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.  Built in 2011 by Samsung as a HD TV, computer monitor and audio/video combo.  I just let the Mac mini select the appropriate settings when I did initial startup last night.  I It came with an HDMI to DVI adapter which (to me) implies I need to get the male end of the DVI adapter to connect to the 9 pin (PC input).  Current HDMI is working but just not the "wow factor" that I expected from the Mac mini.  Compatibiltiy issue of some kind; input/output, settings, software update, or user error   Was trying to avoid getting a new monitor.

  • What's a good LCD display for graphics arts and print production needs?

    Hi all,
It's true that the good ol CRT displays in the past were the best. They have the Trinitron tube and had clearity. I'm looking to purchase an LCD monitor that'll come close to a Sony CRT monitor and can handle my graphics art projects. Any thoughts and direction is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Web dude

CRTs are dead. Please just let them die...
Funny you should say that. I just bought a brand new Philips 22" CRT (for AU$260). I decided to take that path for another few years after looking at the Cinema displays (23" and 30") and noticing severe discolouration at shallow viewing angles (like when you sit closely in front of the monitor to compare three photos side-by-side). Interestingly, the 24" iMac screen doesn't have this problem.
I can't afford or justify the exquisite Eizo LCD screens, so I got the CRT (the best Philips ever made) and couldn't be happier. I've got plenty of space on my corner desk, btw.
    Cheers
    Steffen.

  • Which LCD display for better colors?

I know most of you would prefer a CRT monitor for better colors but what are the options if i choose an LCD/TFT display? I tried and returned two LCD monitors in past and i don't want to waste more time and money. I heard Eizo ColorEdge series have good colors but they are way expensive. any ideas?

Nevermind... After some research, I bought two Dell Ultrsharp 2209WA monitors. These are e-IPS pannels and are far better in colors and viewing angles compared to the ordinary TN pannels. IPS pannels are expensive but worth every penny ...

  • Warranty for Spare parts (MRO)

    Hello Experts
I would like to know how does warrantly for spare parts (MRO) works in SAP. I am new to it and keen to know what is needed to set up from Master data set up perspective and what benefit it gives in terms . How does the process works.
    Many Thanks
    Guarav

    Hi,
As far as my knowledge warranty is not for spare parts, it is for technical objects, like equipment.
To run warranty chech you have to define
    warranty types
    Warranty categories
    Define number ranges
    Warranty counters
Then you have to create master warranty records in t-code BGM1 after saving it will give warranty number
This warranty number you have to speciefy in equipment master

  • Spare parts for powerbook G3

The screen of my powerbook G3 is severely damaged by accident. So I contacted my nearest Apple reseller to find out that there are no spare parts any more for this "old" machine. I just would like to know if this a local problem or are the new G3 parts sold out worldwide ?

New parts are no longer available.
But there are folks who have discovered the "large chunks" you can quickly separate a computer into are worth more as parts than as complete systems. Complete screen unit for powerBook G3 is a commonly-available part. There are three different ones for the WallStreet PowerBook alone.
eBay is one place where some of those parts are available. Tested parts with a modest warranty are available from online sellers and repairers of iBooks and Powerbooks with their own web sites. Full repair service with warranty is also available.

  • One 30" or Two 24" Displays for Logic 9?

Hi, would it be preferable to have one 30", or two 24", LCD displays for Logic 9 use specifically?
The views, or windows (not sure what Logic calls them) will be mainly for audio/midi tracking, audio/midi editing, VI tracking and mixing of rock music. I may occasionally also need to tweak an effects plugin during mixdown.
I understand Logic can take advantage of dual displays. Can it have the "track" window on one display and the "mixer" window on the 2nd display?
    Thanks for your advice!

Yeah - I'd have 2 x 24" over 1 x 30" anyday (24" is pretty big anyway). As SC said, you can have your mixer etc on the other one and you can permanently see what's going on. Also you can send movies to the other screen which is great if you score to picture. Definitely take time to set up screensets, it'll speed up your workflow massively.
I've just set this up myself and I'm very pleased with it apart from the fact that at the moment, I open a plugin from the mixer and it opens in the other screen. Not sure why it's doing that but I'm sure there'll be a workaround (any ideas sampleconstruct?).
    Anyway, go for it.

  • Forecasting the need of spare parts in Demantra

    Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate if anyone who's had dealt with the following issue help us,
The thing is - we want to forecast 3 different kind of items:
    1. Main items we sell - for examples - machines.
    2. Accessories for machines we sell. A certian accessory can be used with several type of machines. (Cables, Batteries etc.)
    3. Spare parts we need to keep in stock in order to provide repair services for our customers.
Each machine we sell has a different set of spare parts used when repairing.
The forecast for machines is a typical demantra model forecast.(sales forecast by the book).
My question is regarding the forecast for the spare parts we need for repairs.
We know that demand for a certain spare part is influenced by how many machines which use that part were sold to customers.
Also - it depends how common is the use of that part when fixing those machines that need service.
(some parts get broken more frequently etc).
Also since we provide fixed price insurance for customers, they dont "see" spare parts price as a factor.
(they dont naturally "buy" the parts).
How can demantra tie the forecast for the spare part to sales history of machines? Can demantra forecast service ?(which behaves alot different than sales). It is obvious that forecasting demand for spare parts with looking only at each part's history will not provide best forecast results.
    Any insights anyone?
I'm pretty sure most implementations faced that issue - regarding the forecast of parts for service -
    Would appreciate any reply,
    Thanks alot,
    Aaron.

    Hi Aaron,
Per my understanding, you sell machines as well as their accessories. So forecasting for them is by the book where you would be using the demand for machine as well as for accessories..
As far as the service parts' forecasting is concerned, Oracle has a seperate module for Service & Spare parts planning based on Demantra's forecasting engine.
Spare Parts Planning(SPP) has the following features:
    1. Forecast accurately with built in Demantra's Forecasting engine
    2. Replenish spares based on Single plan model
    3. Distribute spares using SPP's plan
    4. One single UI to carry out all 3 above processes for improved productivity
    5. Forecasting based on Shipments, Spares Usage, and Returns
    6. Plan based on Service parts failure rates calculations
    7. Integrated with various APS modules like Demantra DM, CP, IO, and ASCP.
From demantra's perspective you may try out the following:
Since you provide fixed price insurance for customers, you would definitely be keeping track of the service provided like what spare was replaced and probably how many of the same spare have been replaced for a particular customer over a period of time. Also as per the insurance you must have specified that a particular spare would be replaced only x number of times within a span of say 6 months or 12 months.
You may utilize these information to classify the spares based on the frequency of use viz. very frequent, medium frequent and less frequent and associate some factor to it.You can club this information as well as the spare parts demand coming out of the BOM (bill of material) of the machine along with each part's history and come up with a forecast that can be more relied upon.
    I hope this helps.

    Shekhar

  • Spare parts - assets or materials

    Hi
I work for a power generator and our inventory mostly consists of spare parts - not items for sale.
For accounting purposes, we are required to classify some of these spare parts as fixed assets (rather than inventory) as these parts will not be used in the next financial year.
These spare parts sit in the store and from time to time are purchased or issued to maintenance orders or into assets.
We wish to record depreciation/provision for obsolescence on the spare parts.
I would appreciate some advice on the best way to treat these items in SAP is (from someone who has worked with Utility companies with similar issues).  Is it:
    - record them in MM but have posting to fixed assets g/l code and manually record depreciation/obsolescence?
    - record in AA and have partial disposal when some spare parts are used?
    - record quantities in MM and values in AA?
    - other???
    regards
    CJ

    Hi,
As per my understanding spare parts, even if to be used in fixed assets for replacements, should be treated as inventory only.
Therefore, you should inventories them and as and when they are issued, you should charge them off to profit and loss account (This is as per Accounting standard 10).
But, if you want to know a way out to transfer them as an asset, then also you need to keep it as inventory only till you utilise it. Once it is required to be capitalise, you can do so with transfer posting with a appropriate movement type, so that quantity shall be reduced from inventory and shall be capitalised.
