  • To buy power Adaptor for DTT3500

    Hi,
I would like to buy a replacement power adaptor for DTT3500. I had checked with Creative SGP, but they had not gotten back to me if they have the stock. Their reason is that they needed to check for EOF products and replacement stocks if avaliable. But that was about 3 weeks ago, still no update.
I hope there is someone out there in SGP who have a power adaptor to sell ...
    Thanks...
    Shawn :-)

Thanks to everyone for the ti
    ps.
I've gone for the cheapy uk shaver adaptor and it works fine. My zen didnt need any firmware updates but bizarrly the spare battery took nearly fi've hours to fully charge against the first which was just under three !
Lastly, does anyone know if the warranty is valid in the UK (ie Global) seeing as my zen came from the US.
    Thanks again to all.

  • Want to Purchase Power Adaptor for HP Pavillion Dv6226 US . Need specification to buy it ?

I am located in India . I want to purchase a power adaptor for my laptop HP Pavillion DV6226Us ....I need to know the exact specification , so that it will be useful to specify the requirement while buying it .
I dont want , what is suitable for my laptop.

    Gerard, welcome to the discussions!
"1) We don't really need the wireless function so can we use it without wireless?"
Yes, you could turn the wireless mode off and it will work fine as an ethernet router. I'm not sure if the D-Link you have been using also provides a modem function. The AirPort Extreme does not have a modem onboard, so you would need a cable or DSL modem to work with the device.
"2) Will the AirPort Extreme work with our 10 Base T connections?
    Yes, this will happen automatically.
"3) We use iChat a lot. Is there any special configuration required for using iChat?"
I have iChat setup on two Macs and no special configuration with the Extreme is needed.

  • Slim AC Power Adaptor for W700?

Is there such a thing as a slim AC Power Adaptor for the W700?  I know the W500 has one, but is there an equivalent out there on the market for the W700?
    Thanks.

The 230W adaptor for W701 is quite slim and it's perhaps compatible with W700.

  • Do they make a car power adaptor for air yet?

where can i get a car power adaptor for my mac air 11 in?

They do not. The Airline adapter they sell, will not work.
You are best off just buying an 12v DC-120 AC inverter and using your existing AC Charger/adapter.

Yes.  You can use one of a higher wattage, just not a lower wattage.

  • Help! Incompatible power adaptor for my WVC54GCA!

Hi, I just purchased 2 units of refurbished WVA54GCA cameras and realized the power adaptor is only suitable in US (i.e. 110V). I believe the model that works here is DSA-6G-05 FUK 050100.
Can someone advise where can I get this type of adaptor from?
    Many thanks!

You need to visit local stores for the specific adapter or you can try to Google around .

  • Third party power adaptor for MacBook Pro?

I am about to lose my second power pack due to under-engineered wiring on these Apple power supplies. The wires are very small and thin, and the strain relief at the entrance to the "brick" is totally inadequate, so the wires end up breaking under daily use. I looked at the iGo website, only to find out that there is some sort of licensing issue with Apple that prevents them from selling tips for the magnetic connectors that are in vogue. Kensington apparently doesn't supply any Apple adaptors anymore.
Does anyone know of a third party company that makes a replacement power supply that will hold up under normal usage for more than a year?
    Thanks

    Hi Justin,
The very first of the square power adaptors (which came with an early white iBook) which we own developed a problem of the kind you mention. Since then we've done one simple thing with all of the many that have followed with a variety of iBooks, PBs, MBs and MBPs, and never lost another.
We simply make a loose loop of the cord around one of the "legs" of the adaptor:
We leave the loop in place both when using the computer and when winding the cord around the legs for transport.
Not what you were asking for, I know, but it has certainly stopped any problems we have had with strain on the cord
    Cheers

  • Need 110-240V Power Supply for WRT54G Ver 8.0 12V 0.5A DC

Can anybody sell me a power supply for my WRT54G Ver 8 wireless router?
    Need 110-240VAC to 12V 0.5A DC
If you cannot sell me this item, can you recommend an online vendor?
    Thanks a lot.

I checked on the wireless routers adapter .. it shows ...
Ac Input 5V 2A Jack Type :   BIG  BARREL AC Input  110~120V

  • I can't find an ac power adaptor for my AirPort Extreme base station.

I was given an AirPort Extreme base station, the square model, I just need an ac power adaptor. I can't seem to find one that will definitely fit. Help please?

It is easier and better to give the model number from the base.. A1143 is the oldest Airport Extreme that is N wireless.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPort_Extreme
All the models from Gen1 to Gen5 use the same power supply.. 12v 1.8A
But it can be replaced with any standard 12v supply.. of sufficient current rating.
The real thing is expensive. It still doesn't have the Apple cord.

Buy a power supply rated at 12v 3a 4a or 5a .. any of those ratings will work well.
I generally buy 4a or 5a. as they tend to be a bit better. Although if you check they all seem identical to each other..
Check in your local market if you want one fast.. just do ebay search for 12v 4a power supply..

Power cord is probably a standard IEC computer cable.
Cheaper from HK but if you want reasonable quality pay around $10US.. cheaper can be rubbish.

  • Power adaptors for inflight charging

Just got my Y2P, but would like to know if anyone can recommend a power adaptor I could buy to use whilst flying. I'm using BA and I think they use the Em Power system last time I checked. Many thanks

I have to suspect that the Apple tech you spoke to just was not too much of a tech at all, electronics-wise at least. Or, heck, even Electricity 101-wise. Besides that, I can't believe that any Apple technical document would have said that. What I suspect is that the "tech" couldn't find a better answer in his allowed scripts and so decided to just use common sense. Too much pressure is just too much pressure, right?
It's certainly unwise for you to try drinking from a fire hose, but that analogy doesn't apply at all when applied to electricity. AC or DC circuits only take what they take and the only critical thing is the presented voltage. Wattage in supply is a measure of the max current available at that voltage level, but is not a measure of how much power whatever is connected up is going to consume. Examples of this are obvious.
Bottom line .... you can use any 5VDC charger on anything which requires that voltage level for its charging circuit. Things will work at maximum speed if the wattage is at least at the spec minimum, and will work more slowly to not at all if the power is below spec.

  • Can I use a Macbook power adaptor for MacBook Pro ?

    Hi,
Is its safe to use a power adaptor from a Macbook (white), to charge my Macbook Pro.
The difference is in the output of the adaptors: 3.65A (Macbook) vs. 4.56A (Macbook Pro).
    Thanks,
    Ori

In the past, I had an IBM Thinkpad laptop, when my adapter broke, I borrowed an adapter from a colleague. This adapter also had a lower capacity than the original adapter (I don't remember by how much).
It ran really hot but the Thinkpad would run fine on it, though it would only charge the battery if I turned it off... So either charging the battery or working with the laptop...
I'd say use it until you get the chance to buy a new one...

  • Someone please help me to find a USA to US power adaptor for the Zen Mic

Help ! I recently received a 40th birthday present zen micro from a relati've in New York, however the plug is the USA 'two flat pin type'. I have detached it from the power supply to find two smaller pins underneath so please someone tell me where I can buy the UK version of this 'plug top' from. Standard US to UK travel adaptors don't work as the collar diameter on them is too small meaning that the Zen's power supply won't fit ! I am desperate to try my new Zen out but I'm stuck ! Many thanks for any help.

Most of the common ones are available on the Used market, for example on eBay.
