SPDD for structure E1HR_AB

Hi Gurus,
We are upgrading from 4.6 to ECC 6.0. When I tried to 'Reset to Original' the object E1HR_AB (Struture), I get an error 'You cannot edit object R3TR TABL E1HR_AB with
standard editor'.
Please let me know how to solve this.

Hi Mohan,
I can understand the issue here. The E1HR_AB is a segment that is used for PAyroll outsourcing using IDocs. This is generated through a transaction PU12. The possible reason can be that somebody might have done an enhancement to the standard segment by using the PU12 transaction for this segment under OTMU format. You'll need to just correct this back and do the upgrade and it should allow you.

Can anyone please suggest what could be the issue.

Please ensure whether both projects have the same budget profile. Other than that you need to carefully investigate how the cost was posted onto both projects in the first place. Please note in case of procurements, budget is only checked at the commitments level (search the forum as this has been discussed before).
In case this does not resolve your issue, revert back with the budget profile settings.

Hi,
Take an easy way, you can go to the PO with t-code ME23N, at tab page PO history of the item detail, you can find the price variance for the item.
Or you can use t-code MB5S to display the multi-POs' price variance report!

Pre requisites for Structural Authorizations

Guys,

Regeneration of INDX for Structural Authorization

Hello all,
We are having problems with the index of structural authorization.... employees can´t see objects created until we run the program RHBAUS00.
I'm reading at the documentation of program RHBAUS00, and it says that "The index for the structural authorization profile of the user is generally regenerated during the night in a batch job"..... but it is not working !
Does any body know how SAP execute an automated regeneration of index for structural authorization?
I want to know which job do that or how the system do that? or if I need to define a job by my self?

Hi Enrique,
I think you have misanderstood the documentation.What it says is that usually customers run this program RHBAUS00 as batch every night. But apart from the report there is no other program/functionality that will reset the INDEX
You have to set up this report to run as BDC everynight if you require it.

Extraction log for structure MC12VC0ITM?

Im not sure where i can find the extraction log for structure MC12VC0ITM. The extraction log will hold the delta changes done. It will help us identify if there are any issues in capturing the delta records while creating any transaction ex: delivery documents created using the Tcode VL03 and it is getting captured in delta properly or not. The data source is 2LIS_12_VCITM.
I have tried with SM13, LBWQ, SMQ1 and RSA7 but no luck.

What exactly you want to check ?
Once the data is posted it should be available in LBWQ as LUW for Queued delta and on running job control it will be available in RSA7 where you can display the records.

Error in subroutine read_namtb for structure of infotype

We are trying to transfer HR Master data between ERP 5.0 and ECC 6.0 systems .
The data transfer is successful in the development and Quality environments but fails in case of production environment.
Details are given below
Message type : HRMD_A
Idoc type : HRMD_A06    ( Release 620 )
When we try running PFAL using any evaluation path the idoc at the receiver ends up with an status 51 (error) .
The error log gives the following error .
u201CError in subroutine read_namtb for structure of infotypeu201D.
I tried posting the received Idoc again at the receiving end using the transaction WE19 with the function module u201CIDOC_INPUT_HRMDu201D .
The observations are given below.
1.     While processing some of the records the infotype table name field becomes empty .
2.     The subroutine read_namtb uses a FM u201CNAMETAB_GETu201D , which takes the input as the infotype table name and provides the output as all the fields of the table along with the attributes of the field.
3.     As sometimes the table name is passed empty the function module returns an error which is mentioned above.
Note : If we run PFAL without providing any evaluation path the idoc at receiver ends up with status 52 ( Application not posted completely).

I will activate those BADI's and check.
But we solved the problem in a different way.
Below is the analysis of the error.
1.     The data was getting passed in an additional segment E1PAD007 in the production environment from the sender system.
2.     During the inbound process the FM u201CRH_INFTY_OF_IDOCSEG_TYP_GETu201D is used to identify the respective infotype and the subtype
for the segment name in the receiver system.
3.     The function module searches for the tables T777D and table T77ar to fetch the infotype and the subtype.
4.     The table T77ar does not contain the relevant entry .
5.     The segment is related to a relationship u201C007u201D between jobs and positions.
6.     As we do not need jobs in the target system, we removed the object type u2018Cu2019 from the model distribution. This resolved the error.
Note : The other way to resolve was to make an appropriate entry in the table T77AR .

and tried to copy I_COPA_ITEM to this variable
WA_CE1AWG1 = I_COPA_ITEM.
I get a runtime error Offset declaration too big for structure.
will I have to change program SAPLXKKE to remove unicode checks. Is there any other way to read in the fields from input structure I_COPA_ITEM?

1.r u sure I_COPA_ITEM is structure or table.
2. if it is a struccture make sure the WA_CE1AWG1 and I_COPA_ITEM are with same structures and types..
i think I_COPA_ITEM is table type --> to find it open in debugging mode then try to resolve.

Inconsistency in the Dictionary for structure COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_DIVERSE

Please could someone help me out on this one. I am new to ABAP and CRM Technical and have just started my career on this new track. I am getting "Inconsistency in the Dictionary for the structure COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_DIVERSE" on the WebUI as error when I am logging into it -this error has got generated after I was trying to create a field using AET on WebUI. I have taken the help of another ABAPer who is presently more adept that me and he used st22 to identify that a class 'CL_BUPA_IL_SEARCH_SERVICE' is not getting activated which is resulting in this error. There is 'Inconsistency in the Dictionary for the structure "COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_DIVERSE".' The BASIS guys have told me that I need to find some note to get this fixed - I have never done this. Bit Ordering for Structures in a Union

Hello. I seem to be having a problem with interpreting data placed into a char array that is overlayed with a structure. It seems to be related to bit ordering. The overall scope of my application is to take a data packet, send it over a serial communication port, then another application decodes the data packet, and places the data into a table. I built two seperate LabWindows applications that perform the tasks on both sides of the serial port, and they work properly. Each application makes use of the same header file containing structures defining the data packets. When I remove the LabWindows application on one side and replace it with my actual hardware, I start running into problems decoding the data sent over the serial port with the remaining LabWindows application.
The structure is as follows:

When receiving data from the serial port (COM1), I use the following commands:
read_status = ComRd(1, buf, 1)
packets.lcu_status.lcu_status_str[0] = buf[0];   //packets is another structure not mentioned in above code containing LCU_STATUS and others
... Later in the code I fill data tables by assigning each table the value that is stored in the packets.lcu_status.lcu_status_data.lcu_status_id (or whichever of the variables in the structure I need)
I'm finding that the actual hardware sends the data across the serial port correctly, so that packets.lcu_status.lcu_status_str[0] (and subsequent words) is filled correctly. For example, if I send across a word containing 27 (decimal) then packets.lcu_status.lcu_status_str[0] is filled with 27 when I read it in debug mode. The next word I send is 16 and packets.lcu_status.lcu_status_str[1] is filled with 16. However,
I would expect the structure to then be filled like so:
lcu_status_id = 3
fan_id = 1
dimv_id = 0
thunderstorm_id = 1
nvis_mode_id = 1
temp_id = 0
power_id = 0
fan_status_id = 0
lcu_fault = 1
undefined_bits = 0
But instead, I get:
lcu_status_id = 0
fan_id = 1
dimv_id = 0
thunderstorm_id = 0
nvis_mode_id = 0
temp_id = 1
power_id = 1
fan_status_id = 0
lcu_fault = 1
undefined_bits = 3
I do not understand why this bit order occurs. Would anyone be able to explain?

Jason,
Seems to me that your hardware communicates in "big endian" (as many embedded systems do). This means that you will need to rearrange the bytes in the numeric data you receive before using the values. The same will apply to any numeric data you send.

Try running sql trace to find out the same.
Go to ST05 , click on active trace .... open another session , run ur transaction .... come to ST05, clikc on deactive the trace..... and click on display trace.....now u can able to see all tables and field names, which are used in ur transaction.

Context sensitive solution for Structural authorization

Dear all,
I would like to know whether new relationship, evaluation path and authorization profile has to be created for each role with context sensitive structural authorization ?
In T77UA table, each user has assigned a profile which tells the system how to find the structure by evaluation path (in T77PR table). Then in tranx OOAW, the evaluation path indicate how to build the structure by series of relationship, and this way we have to create new relationship for each role with context.
Am i correct ?
If an organization has many roles, then many relationship, evaluation path, profile.. has to be created !

Yes, if you add the authorization object P_ORGINCON in PFCG, you will notice that the field "Authorization Profile" has to be entered which tells the system WHICH ORG STRUCTURE does this authorization are refering to...
In table T77PR, instead of hardcoding the organization unit in the object ID field, we use Evaluation path to tell the system how to find the org structure for employees. Function RH_GET_MANAGER_ASSIGNMENT will return the org unit ID for the evaluation path.
In transaction OOAW, the said evaluation path specified the relationships which the system should use to draw the org structure of the employee's supervision... and there should be relationship like "Is managed by", may be as follows:
O B 002 Is line supervisor of * O
O A 011 Cost center asignmnt * K
O B 003 Incorporates * S
O B 012 Is managed by... * S
Up to now.... if you want to assign authorization to someone as follows, you could not simply maintain the same relationship "Is managed by" to Org Structure A and B because this will confuse the system as to which org structure you want the employee to maintain infotype 7 or 14/15. You should then create different relationships and maintain them to Org Structure A and B. And tell the system how to find the structure from the Evaluation path, which is stick to the Auth. profile. The Auth. profile is then maintain in the Context sensitive master data object P_ORGINCON !

(2)
Org Structure B
Maintain only infotype 14, 15
So... that's why i said if an employee has many role to perform duties in many different Org Structures (e.g. A, B, C...etc), you would create many relationship...

3. Normally this field will be blank.
4. In your case,
   u have 2 common fields.
eg. F2
5. Then
   it will be like this in table
   F2 - space
   F2 - 1
6. The second entry is for DEPTH.

These are 4 fields are from different structure.We are unable to find tables for these structures.
All field and structures are from VA03 transaction in ECC.

It seems that you want test of the describ fields, for which you need to find relevant test table.
For Production order status use--->
Goto CAUFV
get the field - CAUFV-OBJNR
Pass this in JEST in field = OBJNR, object number and INACT = space
you will get severail entries for field STAT.
pass this field entries STAT to tabel TJ02T and field - ISTAT, language = EN
you will get status in the field TJ02T-TXT04 and text in field - TJ02T-TXT30.
or simply use FM- STATUS_TEXT_EDIT
