Speaker and Bluetooth Headset Problem on Lenovo P70

Hello All, I have purchased Lenovo P70 one month ago. This phone is pretty nice for day to day use. But I am facing some peculiar problem as follows: While using any VOIP application like Skype, Viber, Whatsapp, imo (or whatever); if i try to go from earphone to speaker or bluetooth headset mode, I can't hear any sound. The sound nither plays on earphone or on the speaker or bluetooth headset. Even the other party can't here. Even my cheaper Lenovo A329 has no problem doing so. I'm sure this is a software glitch which needs to be fixed. For your information, my build number is P70-A_S129_150320_16g_ROW Kindly let me know if there's any solution.

Hey JameZ, Thanks for your reply. To be honest with you, I haven't tried the headset which came in box. but surely the speaker mode dosen't work properly in any VOIP application. the sound hangs for about 30-40 seconds and even after the sound comes, it goes again. As for BT headset, kindly see the screenshot below to get better idea. Since the BT headset works fine in normal calls, I'm pretty sure, the problem lies in the OS. If you have the device around, I would urge you to check for yourself for the problem. I have tried the similar things with my friends P70, the problem remains same. Kindly do the needful

6210 and Bluetooth headset problems

Hi,
I have 6210 Navigator with SW version 4.13.
When I use Bluetooth headset (BH-602 or BH-604), the connection works just fine for the first time.
But if I turn off the Bluetooth headset and for example turn it on again next day (without turning off the phone in between), the connection between the phone and headset just does not work anymore.
I have noticed, that I have to go to the phones Bluetooth menu, turn the bluetooth OFF and then back ON. After these steps when the headset is turned on again the connection between headset and phone works.
This is rather annoying "feature" in the 6210 Navigator and I would like to ask what could be the problem ?

It would appear that a later firmware at V 4.0623 would increase stability in long running bluetooth connections.
I'm not sure if this will apply to you, as I don't have the same problem to confirm that it's fixed. But I would think it'll be a good try to get the firmware updated.

Microfone not working in normal call mode, works on speaker and bluetooth hads-free

I can not remember when i updated to 7.0.2 so i do not know if that is the problem but since today when i am in a call the other person can not hear me if i am in normal mode but they can hear me if i turn on speaker or i use a bluetooth headset, i restored the phone and the problem persists, thanks

Fm transmitter and bluetooth headset usage

This might have been asked before but I cannot find the answer. I am looking at buying an iphone 3g and the problem I have had with previous phones is when I am plugged into an fm transmitter an incoming phone call is routed through the headset jack making my bluetooth totally useless. if i use a transmitter made specificly for the iphone 3g with a dock connector when I get a phone call while using the ipod function can I simply answer the call with my bluetooth headset button or do I have to unplug the transmitter first? I am not looking for a speaker phone feature over my fm radio.

I called Griffin Technology and they said this feature is supportecd with the itrip auto and itrip autopilot.

6682 and bluetooth headset with no sound - Here's ...

I had an 'no sound' issue with a 6682 and a Jabra BT250 bluetooth headset. I've had the phone for 2 months and used the BT250 with it every day.
My problem started when I connected a POP connector and wired headset (not the standard Nokia version). From that point forward, when I connect my bluetooth headset all of the correct icons appear on the phone showing the BT headset is connected and the bluetooth connection is functioning, but the sound does not come out of the headset. It comes out of the handset (like a normal call) instead.
I searched through the forum and found this procedure listed for the N70 and other headsets.
- Take out the battery
- Take out your sim
- Leave it for at least 2 hours
- Put another SIM into it
I'm adding these steps
- Turn on the phone
- If prompted, enter the correct time and date
- Pair the headset with the phone
- The headset should now work correctly
- Power down the phone and replace the borrowed SIM card with your own.
- Pair the headset with the phone.
- The bluetooth headset should now work correctly.
This procedure correected my problem. A thorough cleaning of the connector contacts did not help.
I hope this helps someone else.

E72 bluetooth headset problems

Hi guys
I just got my E72 2 days, so far so good for me except for this weird bluetooth problem.
When using bluetooth headset for calls, the connection with the headset will be dropped but the call will remain online. I had to switch over the handset. The headset will indicate that the connection had been dropped but the phone will still show that it is connected to the headset. Previously i had the similiar problem with E71 but the E71 will drop the headset connection after a while. Once in a while, all i need to do is to toggle the bluetooth setting off and on to recover the bluetooth connectivity. E72 keep showing that the headset connection is active even if i toggle the bluetooth connection off.
The error setting can only be solved by restarting the phone. does anyone have a solution for this? maybe new firmware from nokia to address such problem? or am i the only one with this problem

Mercedes a-Class and bluetooth sound problems

hi
both me and my wife have a iphone4 (4.3.5) and we are having bluetooth problems with her mercedes a-class 180, yes we can pair the phones but the sound quality is really bad. Once you are busy on a phone call you have to toggle between the iphone speaker and the builtin bluetooth to get better sound.
is there anybody that have the same issue? according to my local MB dealer it is a apple issue and not an MB problem.
anny ideas?

Yep, have a 2008 A-Class and have the same problem with an iPhone 4. Sometimes crystal clear but mostly like talking to a Darlek. Signal strength, motion etc dont seem to make a difference. Have searched the net in vain, did you find a solution?

Z2 Bluetooth headset problem

Hello.
Today while listening to a podcast the sound to my headset suddenly stopped working, my first thought was that the headset for some reason had broke down - however i've tried it on 2 different units now and it's still working fine.
The thing is i can still use my bluetooth headset to make calls and i can hear phone sounds, I just can't hear media sounds (i've tried trough walkman, spotify and podcast addict)
I've got android version 4.4.4 installed on the mobile.
While it stopped working I had been listening without even touching the phone for about 20 minutes when it suddenly just quit on me. I've tried restarting the phone but no sucess. When i try to google my problem to find answers i can only find people with problems on previous versions of android.
The headset i use is Xqisit LZ380
Anyone else had this problem before, if so how did you fix it?

Hello, after couple of weeks of using this phone I found some really anoing things.
1) when I lunch the gallery, brightness is changed by itself to the maximum. It's really unpleasant and weird.
2) Control of dark (turned off) screen. I mean double tap to the screen to unlock device and double tap to the home button to take a picture. It's both a really cool and useful features and I really would like to use them. But on this phone it's unusable. When you guys (lenovo developers) are already using the proximity sensor in this situation for showing the awesome message that the screen is covered. Then why you rather use it for deactivating this two functions when the screen is covered. Because when I wanted to use these functions the phone was taking pictures in my pocked, and was unlocking by itself, so I had to deactivated it. Plus showing the message is just a wasting of baterry.
3) Smart scenes : could you please add a real minimum for brightness option. I would find it really useful for my night scene, it's much more pleasant for eyes, than dimmer option (5 to 10 percent of brightens I guess).
I would be really glad if these problems was solved.
4) also photos and videos quality is not somehow stunishing. Especially slow motion video quality is really bad. But I guess it caused more by photo chip itself than some software issues. So it's not that easy to fix as those below.

IOS 4.3 Bluetooth Headset Problem

Does anyone have this similar problem?
My bluetooth headset (handsfree) disconnects intermittently every few minutes (and auto reconnects in 10 to 20 secs). The "Personal Hotspot" option was disabled as I thought it was interferring with the bluetooh connection.
But after some trial and error, I disabled the Wi-Fi option, and it solved the bluetooth disconnection problem.
Prior to IOS 4.2, I have never encountered this problem. Does anyone know how I can downgrade back to IOS4.2?

After upgrading to iOS 4.3, within a few days later my Jabra WAVE encountered problems with its Bluetooth connectivity. I had no problems pairing with both my iPhone4 and my MacBook (aluminium uni-body model). Unfortunately, I can't control my Jabra WAVE's volume control any more which was clearly shown on my iPhone4. Worse of all, I can hear the caller's voice but not vice versa.
I thought my Jabra WAVE was faulty, and I tested it on Skype via my MacBook. To my surprise it worked flawlessly. I've a hunch that iOS 4.3 is still very buggy, and Apple iOS engineers haven't rectified lots of these bugs since the last version.
This is a terrible pain for everyone who's upgraded to iOS 4.3. Bummer

Bluetooth Headset problems - the first time Apple reminds me of Windows

I have spent hours over the last several days, attempting to get my BT headset -- Plantronics 590a -- to work w/my PPC Mac Mini and PowerBook G4 which were purchased June 2005. Both machines have internal BT modules which according to System Profiler were made by Cambridge Silicon Radio - CSR. The Mini had firmware v5.x and the PowerBook v3.x. Despite following directions to download/apply the BT firmware updater approx. 30+ times, the PowerBook won't take the firmware update. However after approx. 15x the MacMini took the firmware update, which regressed its reported firmware version to 2.x.
In any event, whenever I attempt to use my BT headset, I get the error that the BT device wasn't found or whatever, and at least 2 programs lock up. Typically two or more of Skype, iTunes, System Preferences (Audio).
I lived with years of this sort of BS when I was a MS Windows user. I can't believe that Apple doesn't have a solution more recent than a 2+ year old firmware update, to a problem that -- according to these very message boards -- affects many, many Apple users.
For the love of God Apple, please don't make me yearn for my days in Windows purgatory. Act like a professional company that strives for high user satisfaction, and deliver a remedy such that industry standard bluetooth headsets can "just work" together with your latest and greatest products.
Any suggestions are welcome EXCEPT for those describing how to reset the PMU, PRAM, and/or to download and install the firmware update. I have read every variation of these directions, and faithfully excecuted same, with no productive result (other than regressing the firmware version of my MacMini internal BT module).

OK, I have found a solution that works reliably, although I am hesitant to recommend it to anyone else...
I have only tried this w/Skype and my Plantronics BT headset. I am running OSX 10.4.6 fully updated as of several days ago. I have Skype setup to launch on login/startup.
Skype > Preferences, set audio in/out to internal speakers or whatever, just not the headset.
Quit Skype.
Open Preferences > Bluetooth. Delete the headset profile (if it exists). Add a new device = "Headset". While BT Assistant is searching power on headset and make it searchable (I think just turning the headset on will do this). When the BT Assistant recognizes the headset click 'Continue'; after it gathers more information click 'Continue' again. Enter the pairing code -- I think usually 0000 -- when prompted.
NOW STOP when you see the dialogue saying the device has been successfully configured. DO NOT click the 'Quit' button to dismiss this dialogue!
Now -- with the BT Assistant dialogue box still open -- open Skype and log in. Then, in Skype > Preferences change the Audio input/output to your headset.
Now you should be able to use the BT headset w/Skype w/out problems.
I find that I have to repeat this exact procedure every single time that I want to use Skype to make a call (several calls in a row are fine, but if any significant time elapses I have to do this procedure again).
Seems to work for me.

N82 WLAN and Bluetooth Headset

Hi Guys,
I have two problems:
1. I have a Nokia Bluetooth headset HS-36W and my Nokia N82 does not seem to detect it. However, my Nokia 7610 was able to detect it and I was able to use the headset. Is HS-36W not compatible with Nokia N82?
2. I tried using WLAN but was a failure. The connection was open so NO user ID or passwords were required. Error was WEB: NO GATEWAY REPLY. Others using a laptop was able to access the network. Is there any problem or is there something required from me to do?

Check your positioning settings first: what is your access point there, and what is your positioning server address? The access point should be a GPRS access point, defined by your service provider. Write down your default positioning server address and replace it with supl.nokia.com that usually works well. If it won't, you can always return back to your default server. Usually the server is automatically correct on N82.
You can't use WLAN connection for the Assisted GPS and most likely also WAP is out of the question. You'll need to use a GPRS connection in order to get the current satellite status without waiting outside for several minutes. If you don't have a GPRS data subscription, you're out of luck. Contact your service provider for this.

Nokia Maps and Bluetooth Headset

Whenever I have my bluetooth headset connected and I'm using Nokia Maps (2 or 3) the volume for navigation keeps switching itself off.
It's not the volume on the headset as this works fine and I can make calls without the volume dropping.
I turned the volume up on my N96 and the next time I get voice directions by NM the sounds drops away again, pretty annoying.
I've re-installed NM maps a few times including the sound files just in case that was the problem and I now that I've moved to NM3 I was hoping the problem might have gone away....it hasn't.
Does this happen to anyone else? Anyone got a fix?
Oh and does anyone else think the Female (UK) voice in NM3 sounds fed up when giving directions?

I seem te have the same problem with N82 connecting to standard bleutooth peugeot carkit.
I raised a call with nokia buth they seem to not want to support because of third party. I hooked up an HTC S740 from my buddy this one works like a charm.
Looks like nokia is going into headset modes, see headset icon. Then all sound should go to headset. However my carkit supports also handsfree and it seems like the connection with my nokia keeps ending up in headset!
nokia please help, this has nothing to do with the carkit!

New iOS 7 and Bluetooth Headsets

Hi,
I intaslled the new iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S last night and today none of the button functions on my bluetooth headset (pause, next track, last track, random play, etc.) are working. They worked under iOS 6 no problem - Any ideas why they aren't working now? How do I get them back?
The headset pairs okay and I hear the music through the earpieces though I now only seem to be able to control the music directly from the music app screen - which is not convenient to use whilst I am riding my motorcycle.

Have you tried deleting your headset from the list of devices? Go to Settings>Bluetooth>(your headset name)> the information "i">forget this device. Then re-pair. This worked for my Jaybird BluebudX headset. Annoyingly the battery health meter for the headset's battery does not show with IOS 7.

IPhone 2.0 and Bluetooth Headset

Does the new 2.0 upgrade work with or recognize the existing Bluetooth headset at all? I left my headset on the charger for a couple weeks, it says "paired" but im unable to connect, activate or make calls with Bluetooth headset. I read all the posts, but they are mostly relating to Bluetooth compatibility with various vehicles. I want regular connection to my phone. Its not happening. What gives?

I found this answer on another discussion and it works!
Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth > then touch the "iPhone Bluetooth Headset Paired" button.
A menu will pop up. One of the choices is "Unpair." Touch "Unpair."
When it unpairs, put your iPhone and headset back in the charger, where they will autopair again.
