Speaker and earphones make noise when I plug them into Applebyte Speaker. . .
Whenever I plug my earphones into my ipod touch, it makes a kind of static noise, like a "Pop!" kind of. When I plug my Apple byte speaker into it, it makes that sound, too. I think this is normal, but I would like to know what this is? Please help. Thank you.
The earphones must be pushed very hard into the iPod. So hard, that the white part of the plug must touch the iPod in order for the external speakers to turn off. You will hear a click.
If you do a forum search, you will find this same solution. If it does not work, you will need to take your iPod to an Apple store or call the Apple iPod tech support if still under warranty or you have Apple Care.

Sure appears to be a defective charge or maybe just the cable. Can you try another cable?. Have you tried other chargers? Who made the charger?

So, my ipod will not stay on, when I take it off the charger it just goes dead. I cannot plug it into the computer and have it go on; I guess it doesn't have enough power for the battery. But, just the other day, I unplugged my ipod (went dead) plugged it back into my kitchen and now it goes on but an ITunes icon pops up and says for it to be plugged into it, but like I said it doesn't work on the computer. So, now I lost all my pictures but I was wondering how I can get them back? Or get rid of the Itune icon to actually get back on my ipod?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

ThanksThe iPhone can only be synced with one iTunes on one computer. If you plug it into a new iTunes on a different computer it's going to ask to sync it to the new iTunes. So don't sync anything unless you want to lose your info.

My external speakers have gone muffled when I plug them into my Macbook pro now... any ideas?
I bought the Logitech z313 external speakers and they have been working perfectly with my macbook up until recently they have done completely muffled! my internal speakers work fine, when I plug in head phones they work just fine and the external speakers work perfectly with my home pc. It's just when I try to use them with my mac now the sound is so terrible! Any ideas?
Ah! I have no idea what happen just now but I just kept replugging it in and out and all of a sudden it worked!! strange but now it's working! Thanks for your help though

Horrible, screeching noise when i plug nano into my car's auxiliary
Thats right...the auxiliary......with which my 160 gig classic has no problem whatsoever in playback, seems to like to cause mayhem when it is my nano who is feeding it.
I know there are a couple of threads on this....but.... twas never resolved.
Go to Apple Store? It would be hard to walk my car into the apple store to show them what i mean.
This is not the "hiss". This is rather, a horrible static-y-scratchy-screechy noise.
Few people in the other threads mentioned the built in FM tuner causing disruption with the car's connection..(seems the most logical explanation of yet)
On a side note, decided to return my iPad. Yeah I ate the $50 fee, but now i have got the funds for the nice iPad 2 with Facetime camera:)))))Do you by any chance have the volume limit set on the iPod?

Unfortunately, if you increase the volume of a song in iTunes, all you do is make it so that the maximum volume on the iPod is reached before the volume bar is at full. It won't make the iPod's overall volume any louder.
For example, if you increase a track's volume in iTunes by +100% then when it's on the iPod you will find that that track hits it's maximum volume level at about half volume, and turning the iPod up to full volume will not increase the volume any higher after this point. A track which has not had it's volume altered in iTunes will reach exactly the same sound level, although of course you will need to turn the volume level of the iPod to full in this instance. -
Screeching noise when I plug it into charge
The problem started last night....I plugged the Iphone onto charge for its nightly top up and as soon as you hear the connected noise it started screeching. It does stop after about 10 seconds. I switched airplane mode on and this still happens. It was fine the night before, nothing unusual has happened in the 24hr period.
Tried different plug locations. Unable to try an alternative charger but will attempt to do so.Hi Carrie19720,

It sounds like you are unable to see your iPod Touch screen, as it stays black but it makes the connection tone when you plug in the USB cable. Use these steps to resolve the issue with the iPod from the following article:

If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.

my iphone 4 is not responding the screen is just showing a usb lead and the itunes symbol. when i plug it into my desktop mac and try to sync it to itunes ,itunes is telling me the phone is in a restore mode. How do i get it to respond without restoring the phone to new ? there is no option to restore with backup as i have not backed up any of the data on the phone any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I'm able to plug it into my ps3 and the computer and it works, but when I plug it into the wall charger it doesn't work. I charged it with my wall charger all day but as soon as I connected it to my cable box it it only works with USB ports now. help me
I used it earlier that day. And I have an hd tv with USB port and it won't charge on that as well it. It works for my friends ipod tho and my charger does too

When I plug my iPhone or iPad directly into my lap top, using the USB cord, the devices don't even register with iTunes as being present. I am completely stumped. I believe this bagan with my last iTunes update. The last time I syced any device was Oct 23, 2013. During that time I bought two new apple products and the same problem, when I plug them in they do not even show up as being available to sync. Any ideas why this is happening?
