Speaker cannot be detected (occasionally)

Hi,
I have connected a Creative I-Trigue 200 to my new PC, just to have some basic sounds/music (I am not really particular about sound quality). However, it seems that the PC sound card occasionally can detect the speakers, but sometimes it does not. (even the speakers are connected to the analog inputs like always). When the PC sound card cannot detect the speakers, it just show "speaker not plugged in". But whenever it happens, I test it with my N95 phone, the speakers works fine. I have already done the below:- Reinstall exisitng sound card driver/replace with newer driver (Realtek Audio Device)- The PC vendor has replaced with a new Motherboard (built-in sound chip)- The PC vendor has re-imaged the OS (Vista)?However, the problem still occur occasionally.Usually, it will last for the day, and the next day when I turn on the computer, the speakers can be detected again and everything works fine again. Does anyone has any similar encounter ? I really getting a bit crazy with this simple yet look complicated problem... I start to wonder if the I-Trigue 200 can support desktop PC... sounds more like a problem with your soundcard than the speaker.

NI PXIe devices cannot be detected

Hello, I am 1-year-user of NI instrument. I am using NI PXIe-1062Q. I have some problems with several NI PXI devices installed on this NI PXIe1062Q. My devices are:
1. NI PXIe-8115
2. NI PXI-4071
3. NI PXIe-6556
4. -
5. NI PXI-5922
6. NI PXI-4132
7. NI PXI-6541
8. NI PXI-6602
As attached in the pictures, only the NI PXIe-6556 are detected and the green LED is on. But the other devices are not detected and their green LEDs are off.
I have used these NI PXI-4071 and NI PXI-5922 before for measurement and they worked well. Several days ago I replaced NI PXIe-6556 with NI switch NI PXIe 2527, and the new device are detected.
But after I want to use other devices again, I found that other devices cannot be detected.
Could anybody help me to solve this problem?

This is certainly strange and unexpected, so let's see what other information we can dig up about your system to identify the root cause of this issue, as there could be many different possibilities to sort through.
The first thing NI support will typically ask from you is a MAX report that details the system software and the hardware as reported by MAX. You can find out how to generate the report here: Using MAX Technical Report to Document Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) Configuration Informa...
Besides this, I'll go through a checklist of items to help narrow down the reason for this issue.
Check your device manager to see if the instruments not detected by MAX are identified by your OS. If so, it could indicate MAX is not appropriately displaying your instruments. You can also check here if the system is identifying the devices and their appropriate device drivers correctly.
Speaking to device drivers, are they up to date for the OS you are using? The version of MAX? Are you coming off an image or a clean machine that used to have device drivers on it? Did you uninstall any SW lately? The device drivers are required to identify SW in your machine.
If you remove all the HW in your chassis and add each instrument one at a time, are they detected? This takes some time, so if it were me, I'd remove the 6556 to see if any other instrument is detected. If so, then take those results and mix/match to try and identify if a particular instrument is causing the behavior.
If you have a spare chassis, try changing it out to see if the issue follows the chassis, the controller, or the instrument.
Hopefully, this provides enough information to continue troubleshooting and finding the answer to the issue. verify on another Mac if the same
WD is having issues with mavericks as you can see on the WD forum, did you install any WD software (never do that) when you connected the drive for the first time?
possible issue is a dead SATA bridge card or the new WD firmware w/ Mavericks.

My Superdrive cannot be detected by both my Macbook Pro Retina and MacBook Air. It used to be working perfectly. On the same token My USB stick cant be detected by My MacBook Pro Retina. But It can be detected by my Macbook AIR

My SuperDrive cannot be detected either by MY MBP Retina and my MBA. it was working perfectly till a month ago.
To add to this issue my MBP Retina is not able to detect my USB stick either. Is there anything to do with the firmware?!!

Is this the Apple USB 2.0 SuperDrive (I'm assuming that it has to be...). Likely a problem with the drive, if neither computer recognizes it. Take it to your local Apple Store and have them look it over and see if it will work with any of their display models. If you're still under warranty, they should replace it for nothing. If it's out of warranty, you may just have to buy a new one.
I would also carry along your rMBP and the USB stick that's causing problems. Have you tried another USB device in the port? Another USB flash drive? Or is the problem with the one flash drive?
I don't know of any firmware updates for the 2012 models that have come out specifically tied to USB problems. There were some earlier in the year... have you kept up with all of the updates via Software Update?
Good luck - sounds as if you've a bad SuperDrive and (possibly) a problem with your USB ports (or maybe just this one USB flash drive).

The wireless adapter cannot be detected.

I think there is something wrong with my laptop, but this appears to be a little confused. I buy my laptop about 1 month ago, it is Acer V17 Nitro - Black Eidtion. But two weeks ago the wireless adapter is not working (it disappeared from the adapter settings), then I reinstall the driver, it works. Howver, the problem comes back this week from Tuesday. I install the driver, it not works. So I uninstall the driver and then re-install it again, it works. But today when I open my laptop, the wireless adapter doesn't work again! And when I re-install the driver (like what I do before), it doesn't work. After shutting down for severl times, it works again! It takes me really a lot of time! I am so confused about this! Can any one help??? T.T

The problem still exists for twice. And I have send it to the repair centre twice, the first time they replace the SSD, the second they repair the wifi. And now, the third time! Sometimes it works, some time it does not work (which means when I open the laptop every time, there would be a good wifi icon or a red cross icon). When it does not work, the wireless adaptor cannot be detected at all. I have no idea of it.

ITunes cannot properly detect iPod even after uninstall and re-install

Recently I tried to sync my iPod nano (NOT touch) to my windows computer, but even after i completely uninstalled and reinstalled it says that it cannot properly detect it. I am running the most recent version of iTunes on Windows Technical Preview.

Did you uninstall iTunes and all other Apple related software using the instructions in this Apple support document?

Server cannot be detected

When i try to upgrade my ipad2 i keep getting a messege that says "the ipad software update server cannot be detected. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network vonnection is active." i dont know what to do, please help. My internet is working fine, by the way.

It is possible Apple was doing maintenance on the server when you tried. Give them a few minutes and try again.
When you say your internet is working fine, do mean on the iPad or on your computer? If on the computer, you may be having a problem on the iPad. Try unplugging your WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect the iPad's WiFi.

Strong named DLL cannot be detected in Protect Mode of Reader X

Hi, all
I have a DLL created by C# 2.0. I used it as COM object in my plug-in of reader to communicate with 3rd-party application which is used as a host.
Now, I have issue about "strong named DLL cannot be detected in Protect Mode of Reader X".
If I don't make it as strong named DLL, it can be loaded in plug-in with help of white-list.
But there will be a "Class not registered" COM error thrown if it's a strong named DLL.
How to solve this issue? Thanks very much~
By the way, it works fine if I disable Protect Mode. But it's not good solution to disable Protect Mode always. I am painful of this issue

I'm facing the same problem.
I wrote an very easy report. It works as intended, but when i set fillable='X' i get the error FPRUNX 001.
FP_GET_LAST_ADS_TRACE return following:

Any idea what the problem might be?

IPhone cannot be detected in WinXP

My iPhone cannot be detected by any computers. It does not charge at all except I connect it to the power plug.
I tried,
1) Connected to my primary computer with iTune 8.2.1
2) Connected to my secondary computer with iTune 8.2.1
3) Connected to my primary notebook without iTune
4) Connected to my colleague's computer with iTune 8.2.1, his iPhone is detected, so the usb cable must be OK.
Anyone can help????

Are you directly connecting the iPhone to the computers with the Dock Connector to USB Cable?
If not, try plugging the iPhone into a USB2 port on the computer using the cable that came with the iPhone.

[SOLVED] USB installation, booting: root fs cannot be detected

I installed arch linux on a USB stick.
I can see Grub, I can boot. After the HOOKS get loaded (udev is loaded as well: Loading udev...done.) I get errors as follows:
Attempting to create root device '/dev/disk/by-uuid/myHdUUID'
unknown
ERROR: root fs cannot be detected. Try using rootfstype= kernel parameter.
If the device '/dev/disk/by-uuid/myHdUUID' gets created while you are here, try adding 'rootdelay=8' or higher to the kernel command-line...
Then I get a prompt that doesn't even let me issue the command "ls" (error: /bin/bash: ls: not found
SOLUTION: use the fallback image, or better, rebuild your mkinitcpio kernel image, see: Configuring mkinitcpio
My problem was that "usb" was not included in the HOOKS, it was present, yes but after the "autodetect".
So, in the /etc/mkinitcpio.conf place "usb" before "autodetect", e.g. as follows:
HOOKS="base udev autodetect sata filesystems"
then regenerate the image (refer to the previous link to understand why the autodetect was creating the problems and to see exactly how to regenerate the image)

Same problem, seems the new kernel broke UUID.
@tim: as I stated above it seems that you fixed the problem with the kernel image file but did not adjust the grub menu to compensate for the fact that UUID is broken and thats why you got the same result even after fixing the image, lucky for me I had some broken hooks and only my fallback image generated properly so I figured it out, although it took me a little while.
Anyhow this is basically what needs to be done to correct the problem.
1. Boot ArchLive
2. mkdir /media/disk
3. mount /dev/sdxX /media/disk
4. chroot /media/disk
5. mkinitcpio -k 2.6.28-ARCH -g /boot/kernel26.img
6. nano /boot/grub/menu.lst
7. Replace any references to UUID with /dev/sdxX (where xX represents your drive and partition) instead, save and exit nano.
8. reboot
Make sure and pay attention to the output of the mkinitcpio command in my step 5. If there are any errors relating to one or more of the hooks you'll need to edit /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and remove the hook it complains about !!IF POSSIBLE!!. I for example had some problem with the autodetect hook which caused my regular kernel to fail to create an image.
If mkinicpio doesn't complain and tells you it SUCCEEDED generating the images then you should be good to go.

I have an empty thumb drive that cannot be detected by my imac what do i do?

Open Disk Utility and see if it shows up there. Check you finder preferences. In the Finder go to preferences>Sidebar. Make sure all the items you want to see are checked.

J6450 cannot be detected on network

Help this low-techie, please! My 6450 prints through the USB, but cannot be detected wirelessly. When I try to reset the network (or install via the CD) the USB connection does not recognize that the printer is connected (though it will print documents via that same USB). I ran the Wireless Network Test Report, and in the Diagnostics Summary, it shows:
Wireless On PASS
Wireless Working FAIL
Therefore, the remaining tests are not run.
Because I cannot get the PC and printer to recognize each other for the purpose of setup, I don't know what to try next. (BTW, the current and correct drivers are installed on the laptop)

I think your printer's wireless radio has died. Let's reset the printer to try to revive it.
Turn the printer off
Hold the # and 6 keys while and a bit after turning the printer on
Run the self-test again (Setup > Network > Wireless Network Test or some such words)

hi...i just bought nike+ shoes n it's sensor...
but when i want to connect it to my ipod touch...apparently it cannot be detect.

Hello there,
from what you have said it looks like the problem is a little deeper than just the iTunes install and from my experience a little light work in the registry is needed to manually remove those device filters.
