Speaker has stopped working HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC

I bought this laptop a few months ago and one of the speaker has stopped working. The laptop also heats up alot and makes noise. My laptop is still on its warrenty but I dont know how to contact HP for repair. I have tried reporting on the HP facebook support but didnt get any response. I need to know what should I do.

Does anyone know what is really going on? It is ridiculous that there are videos telling people to put Q-tips into the phone. If this is what we are resorting to then the iPhone makers should be embarrassed.
I hope this post does not get blocked. I would really like to know what Apple plans to do about this or if anyone really knows how to fix this OTHER THAN replacing the phone.

That sounds like a much better idea than going to some supposed "service center" that suggests voiding the warranty on the device.
Just out of curiousity, what have YOU done to try and resolve the issue? Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Have you tried any of these steps?

Beat Audio Stopped Working - HP Pavilion DV7 Notebook PC

My audio stopped working and none of the recommended fixes seems to be working on my laptop.
Any other ideas? Is this because of a driver update issue or ? I would like to keep my beats audio, but if not, doesn't seem like I can even get back to a default sound.
Any advice or help is appreciated. I, like everyone else, uses thsi for watching DVDs, music, You Tube etc. Not to mention can't use for Skype calls anymore either. I know PCs don't last forever, but this is only 3 years old.

My earpiece speaker has stopped working on my iphone since updating to ios 6.1.3

I have recently updated my iphone software to IOS 6.1.3 and now when I make a call the other person can only hear me when on loudspeaker or on Hands free in my vehicle. When the phone uses the earpiece speaker all the other person can hear is a loud whistling noise, has anybody else had this problem ? If so is there a remedy?

Ipad 3 64GB ear jack and speaker has stop working...

     I have an ipad 3 64GB, about 2 months ago the earplug sound went out. Last week the external speaker sould went out so now I cannot hear any thing at all. I've done a reset and a hard reset, no go. I even restored the ipad to factory settings and still nothing works.
     The ipad is 6 months out of the 1 year warranty. I brought it in to an Apple store yesterday and they said there was nothing they could do, besides replacing it for $299 or they would take it in as a trade it in for $175 on a new one.
     If I can't get it working again, I will mainly use it to just hold my photos. Any ideas on solving this problem? Thanks

HP Pavilion external monitor has stopped working with my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) with OSX 10.8.3. When I purchased the monitor a few weeks ago it worked perfectly when computer was in clamshell mode or with lid open. Now external display has stopped working. When I turn on display it scans for signal but does not find it and then immediately goes into sleep mode. I am using a DVI connection with the adapter for the mini display plug. REALLY FRUSTRATING. Hi I have a HP Pavilion Dv4 laptop computer. My E:\ CDDVDW TS-L633M cd drive has stopped working. When I insert a new CD or an exiting cd into the cd drive, the computer displays a message to insert a cd into the drive. i Know that the cd that I'm inserting into the drive should be readable, but the computer doesn't recognize it. When I run the HP support assistant, and choose the HP Optical Disc Drive Check, I get the message "Insert media in : E:\ hp CDDVDW TS-L633M
If you want to do write testing, insert blank writeable media, Otherwise, read-only testing will be performed. When I insert a disk with a program that I want to install on the computer into the cd drive and click the next button, I get a window that says:
"Media Identification:
Wait while the media is being Identified."
Then another window is displayed with the message:
"Media Identification
No disc has been detected."
But I know that the disk is formatted correctly for my cd reader to recognize it.

First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.

Check if the drive is now working.
If the drive is not working, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now works.

Do you need the registration reminder? I dont think so if you have already registered your notebook
Easiest way is you disable the program from start up Navigate to start > run > msconfig and select start up tab. Then search for registration reminder and uncheck the box.
Afte restarting the computer it shouldnt appear anymore. Can you confirm this?

My ipod 4g external speaker has been working on and off for the past few days since christmas. 2 days ago it was working all morning then in the afternoon in the middle of watching a video it just stopped. it hasnt worked since ): any help?

My ipod touch was given to me from apple refurbished and still with ios 5.0.2 after owering it on for the first time and updating to 6.0.1 it was functioning normally and i was using it just fine. i had just begun to use itunes and i bought some music and after playing about 3 or 4 songs aloud from the external speaker it stopped working. just like that. i looked over the internet about other incidents like that but then after thaty i returned back to my ipod and began playing Tron and the sound worked fine! i exited the app and it played my music just fine too. then the next day it went out again and no sound was being played. i left it alone and after about 2 or 3 hours i came back to it and it played sound again. the next day it went out in the middle of watching a video i had just taken. it hasnt come back on since. any help/suggestions?? anything plz..

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.

I Assume that you are talking about the "All Inboxes" mailbox where you can tap to see every email in all of your email accounts. If it disappeared, tap the Edit button at the top of the window, then look for it in the next window. Select it by putting a check mark next to it, then tap Done.

You need to check to see if your QUicktime works because iTunes will not work if Quicktime does not.
If Quicktime works normally, use this troubleshooting article:

If QUicktime does not work:
Have you installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter, Mpcstar, (possibly starcodec pack, 3ivx)
If so uninstall them, they are bad news for QUicktime.
Then download the version of Quickime without iTunes:

Now Remove Quicktime using the method for Quicktime in this article (just Quicktime):

When you come to your C:\Windows\system32\ folder you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
Restart you computer
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check if it starts.

Recovery Manager has stopped working

when trying to run the HP Recovery Manager on a HP Pavilion DV6-3180ea notebook, the error "Recover Manager has stopped working" occurs.
Any ideas? Should I try reinstalling Recovery Manager?

Restart the PC and start continuously tapping F11 when you see the HP logo, this will start Recovery manager from the bios, see if it works using this method.
