Speaker not working for Apps, Music, Games, and Notifications.

I have an Apple iPod Touch 4G. The speaker all of a sudden stopped working to play music aloud.And notfications come up and the sound or "ringtone" doesn't play. For Games the sound doesn't work either. My textnow app for free unlimited textmessaging and calling the sound or ringtone won't play either. This all happens when the volume is all the way UP!
You know whats really weird?
~When I go to settings and Sounds I make the volume go down by scrolling it, then I bring it back up. and it does the little example of how the ringtone will sound.. IT WORKS! and you can hear the sound prefectly...
This is getting to be really frustrating could this be a hardware issue?
Notifications, music, apps, and game sounds all work perfectly but only when I plug in my earphones.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

Sound not working for apps

The sound is not working for game apps, and possibly other apps. Sound effects work. Side switch is not on mute. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING, is muted. YouTube videos work. System sounds work. Games that are supposed to have sounds no longer have sounds.
I also cannot update the iOS system. It says that there is no internet connection but the internet works fine for everything else. I am posting this from the device. Resetting and restarting have not worked. Also, the keyboard seems to be having minor problems as well, such as capitalizing, autocorrect, etc, which used to work but now doesn't.
I have not used the iPad in over a year because of forgotten passcode, and now it has a bajillion problems!
btw, how do I change the Apple ID username and email information?

You said that you "reset" and that means different things to different people so we could use some clarification on that.
For now, I would start with this. If you have already done this, please remember that is where the clarification is so important. Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. The iPad will start up on its own when you do this. No data is lost. It all settings have to be entered again.
IF you changed your Apple ID, go to settings>ITunes & App Store>Apple ID. Sign out in there and sign in with the new ID. This is worthwhile reading and should help.

Recently we have had reports of users not being able to send or sync emails to / from Apple iOS devices. When we look at the ActiveSync logs, we see the affected people getting HTTP 503 errors. Yet if this person works on a Windows Mobile device or an android
Mobile device - they do not have the problem. Similarly, if the person uses the new "Outlook" app on an Apple iOS device, they don't have the problem. It only occurs with the native mail app on iOS devices.
We have Exchange 2013 CU5 - 4 x CAS Servers on Windows 2012, and 6 x Mailbox servers on Windows Server 2008 R2 (hardware doesn't support WS2012).
We have logged a call with MS Support and they are looking into it, but was just wondering whether anyone else has seen this issue.
PS - Before anyone suggests it - we have new servers on the way for the mailbox servers, and will install WS2012R2 and CU8 on it when they arrive. But because our executive is being affected now, we need to look at this now.

I did inital think it might be a widows phone issue but there are no other settings for me to use. I have also tested using a windows 8 surface and I get the same issue.
I have raised the event log level on the exchange server to expert and I have seen 2 messages when I try to connect.
I get Event ID 1100: Exhcnage ActiveSync device requests for your uses are being blocked. This problme frequently occurs when HTTP OPTIONS method is not allowed.
I know it is allowed as the test exchange connectivity worked and passed that test.
The other error Event ID 1309 ASP.NET warning. Part of the exception messge is DeviceTypeMissingOrInvalid
I have come across a comment that says for certificates to work you need to use windows intune or SCCM which we don't have. Do we know if this is true?

Home sharing not working for 'apps'

I have 3 PC's (all running Win XP) that are successfully sharing movies, music and TV shows. When I try to copy apps from one PC to another I get 'the file cannot be copies because this computer is not authorized'.
Why would 'apps' not work but everything else does? Thank you.

Probably you have the authorize the PC seperate frome the home sharing via Store > Authorize this computer...
I think these are two different kind of authorizations.

Icloud sync is not working for apps

I just noticed that my icloud sync is no longer working. Apps like 1Password, Drafts, Reminder, Calendars, Fantastical used to sync between my IPAD Air and iphone 6 but they are not syncing now.
What are some of the possible issues and can anyone suggest remedy?

Managed to solve the issues by turning off icloud drive. Re-started iphone. After iphone turned on, turn on icloud drive again. All the apps started to sync again.

I followed the directions on my phone and successfully changed my apple ID for iTunes. But when I to update apps, the old ID still shows. How can I change my Apple ID so I can update my existing apps?

Correct! The apps I had previously were downloaded using my husband's apple ID. We are now separated, and I would like to download updates under my OWN apple ID. I followed the instructions for changing my AppleID on my phone, and it works with iTunes downloads. Yet the old AppleID continues to show up for App updates/downloads. Can I change the apple ID for App updates? Or must I delete all the apps on my phone that were downloaded under HIS apple ID and then redownload them under my own ID?

XCode 3.2 codesense not working for functions in OpenGL and GLUT frameworks

I'm working on a small OpenGL project (coded in C), and am trying to make the switch from emacs to XCode 3.2, in part because I thought codeSense would be a great tool. I've successfully imported the project to XCode as an External Build System project, that is, I'm compiling using make with my own Makefile. Everything builds and launches fine now, I just have an issue with the codeSense auto completion.
Auto complete is working fine for header files that I've defined myself and live locally in my project directory; I get full function prototype suggestions for any function I've defined myself. However, I never get suggestions for any function defined in the header files associated with OpenGL or GLUT frameworks.
I have included references to the frameworks in my project, and they do show up as being associated with the project target when I look at the info associated with the framework. However, if I dive into the framework and click on individual header files and click on Info for those, those do not appear to be associated with the project target.
I've rebuilt the codeSense index multiple times. This has no effect on my problem.
The source code itself obviously links with the frameworks correctly, since my project runs and looks fine.
I guess my question is twofold: Will CodeSense give me prototypes for frameworks associated with my project? If so, are there any suggestions out there to get me on my way?

I turned off the "Run Static Analyzer" build setting and clicked on the "Rebuild Code Sense Index" under general and it solved the problem for me. However, I want static code analysis too.

Apple ID not working for App Store

Is anyone else getting a "FATAL::Unable to process your request. Please try again." This is happening on my iPhone, iPad, and iTunes on PC. I have downloaded thousands of apps over the years and never seen this problem before.

Printer Software not Working for Windows 8.1 and Drivers not Working with USB 3.0

We have a HP CM1312 MFP. We recently got two new windows 8.1 machines. We tried downloading and installing the windows 8 64 bit software, but everytime we tried installing the software the software program would exit abruptly.
We then tried just downloading the printer drivers and installing these. They installed ok, but when we tried to connect the printer via USB it said the printer did not support USB 3.0 which are the only ports we have on the new computers.
Is there a solution to either of these problems? Without the software we cannot use the fax or scanner.
