Speaker phone automatically turned on whenever I answer a call?

Dear community,
Whenever I answer a call, its speaker phone is automatically turned on. How can I turn this feature off? It seems to be a software issue, because when the I got my iPhone 4S brand new, it didn't have the problem. After restoring from my iPhone 4S, the problem I already had recurred on the iPhone 4S as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

  • My phone automatically turns up the ringer after I turn it down

The title says it all. My phone will automatically turn the ringer/volume up to 100% after I press the button to turn it down to my desired level. I do have an Otterbox Commuter Series case on the phone, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Why would one button get pressed accidentally when the other one doesn't? Not sure if it's a flaw with my phone or not - any help is appreciated.

  • Automaticly turning on/off bluetooth when receiving calls

    Hi!
Can you have your iPhone turn on bluetooth automaticly when your receiving phone calls, and turn it off again after the conversation? Leaving bluetooth on all the time would seriously drain the battery, I imagine...

You must manually turn your iPhone's Bluetooth on and off.  There is no way to set the iPhone to automatically turn it on and off.  I leave my iPhone 4s Bluetooth On all the time since I have a hands free car unit in my car.  It does drain the battery more, but in my case, not enough for me to turn it on and off.

  • Phone Automatically Turns Off

For some reason, my phone (Blackberry Curve 9220) keeps shutting off on its own, and then when I try to turn it back on, it won't. So then I have to take the battery out and put it back in for it to turn back on. And my phone's not even dead, or on low battery. Any help?
The only thing I have noticed is that it only happens when I have left the phone inactive for a while, meaning that if I am using my phone consistantly, it doesn't happen. Lots of free space, can't figure ouT.

tell me the procedure of  OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process.
    1) If possible, make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below. If not possible, then you will lose all data and configurations, and have to start over completely fresh.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try the "Bare Bones OS Reload Procedure" to attempt to narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

  • My iphone 4 does NOT seem to automatically lock now when I answer a call

My iphone no longer locks when I am on a call, which results in my ear disconnecting my call. If i try to manually lock the phone while on a call using the lock button it just hangs up the call.
    Thx in advance
    Helen

If it's only 3 weeks old you should back it up and make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store for evaluation and possible replacement.  You can do that here: http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/us/en/techsupport/.

  • Why can't callers hear me unless im on speaker phone?

I did the new i.os 8 upgrade and ever since, when callers call me they can't hear me unless i put them on speaker phone. What do I have to do so they can hear me without using speaker phone? Cuz i can't answer my calls in public since i have to put them on speaker phone.

    Hello there Anick,
It sounds like you are making calls or recieving them, and the other party cannot hear you unless you have speakerphone turned on. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article to help you resolve this issue, named:
    iPhone: Microphone issues
Follow these steps, testing after each.
Make sure nothing is plugged in to the jack connector.
Make sure nothing is blocking any of the microphones (refer to the pictures below to find your device's microphones). Check for these:
    Dirt or debris
    A screen protector or case
When you're holding your phone next to your ear, make sure you don't block the microphone with your fingers or shoulder and make sure to speak into the microphone
Turn the iPhone off and then on.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
If necessary, find general iPhone hardware troubleshooting suggestions.

  • Car Dock Speaker Phone Annoyance

I have a Bluetooth enabled stereo in my car and use it all the time for listening to streamed music and make phone calls from my fascinate.  The Bluetooth phone calling works great when the phone is sat beside me on the passenger seat, however as soon as I put the phone in the car dock, the phone automatically turns to speaker phone and refuses to use the Bluetooth connection.  This is extremely annoying.  Is there a way to disable this default action?

Unfortunately this is how the device is programmed for when it comes into contact with the dock. At this time there is no way to disable it.

  • Skype crashes when I answer a call or when someone...

    Hi,
Whenever I answer a call or whenever someone answers my call, Skype stops working. I have tried with both people & the call test service both with the same result.
I have tried reinstalling skype with no effect. I have been able to make calls with people so long as they call me when my skype isnt running and I turn it on when they are mid call, then I can answer them. But otherwise, it just keeps crashing.
    Kinda getting frustrating now.
    Thanks in advance

Open Windows Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administartive Events. Look for the recent error messages with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text from the General tab.

  • While making a call or answering a call the speaker automatically on

while making a call or answering a call the speaker is  automatically on?can u suggest remidy

The iPhone is designed to have the screen go dark during a phone call, since the phone is normally up to your ear and you would not want to be touching the screen with your ear and possibly touching random buttons. This is done by the proximity sensor, which is located near the ear speaker on the phone. When you are reaching to turn on the speaker, it is possible that you are crossing this sensor light and it turns off the screen. I have done this before. If you try reaching from the bottom of the screen, does this still happen? Try to keep your hand away from the top front portion of the phone and see if that helps.

  • When I get an call the phone switches automatically to speaker phone when I pick up the call

When I get an call the phone switches automatically to speaker phone when I pick up the call.
I then have to press the handset button to get out of the speaker phone mode.
How do I set it to goto the handset automatically.
I have the most up-to date software and I have pulled that battery.

That's just what happens when you do a battery pull. If your phone is turned OFF, the cache is not accessible. As you're probably aware, anytime any electronic device is acting up (PC, printer, modem, etc.), unplugging it will correct many issues; it's the same with your phone.
I can't offer a really technical explanation, just trust me on this one and remove your battery while your phone is ON.
