Speakerphone automatically on when answering calls

For some reason the speakerphone is automatically on everytime I answer a call. I have to turn it off every time.  I looked all through the settings but couldn't find anything related.  Anyone else have this happen?  Any ideas what it might be??  Thanks.

The speakerphone is only be available while on a call. Once the call is ended the speakerphone is disabled. While on a call, select the Speaker symbolto enable / disable. To resolve your issue, try a soft reset on your device. Remove your battery while your device is powered on, wait about 30 seconds, replace battery and power on your device.

my N80 handset has no sound when answering calls... but when i turn to my loudspeakers and plug in my earpiece, it function normally when i answer the calls...i cant hear any thing from handset when i keep near my ear, but when i on speaker i can hear the other party voice...
a few days ago, it was fine... i didnt drop the phone or what...
my warranty has expired... i wish that someone can help me to solve it by DIY.. haha..
    thanks...

Sounds like it can only be one of two things.
    1. The speaker is broken.
    2. The ribbon cable connecting the two halfs of the slide is starting to go. The ribbon does give problems after a while. Sometimes when the cable starts to go, it still works when the slide is closed but not when extended. try it and see.
Both the speaker and the ribbon cable can be replaced at your local Nokia care centre.

  • Screen cannot lock or go black when answering call

This make me always touch the button of the screen when answering calls...is it the sensor problem?

I have the same problem could some one tell us what we. Should do ?

  • N80 crashes when answering calls using slider.

Have spoken to Orange about this and they are saying (as if they'd say otherwise) that this is a 'new' issue for them. Has anyone else experienced this?
Phone call comes in - open the slider to answer call only to have the phone lock-up. None of the menu buttons or keypad work. The phone keeps ringing with an active display but the only button that works is the power!
Orange have referred this to technical support.

Well, after another referral to Orange Tech Support, I finally have a new handset.
I started having more 'crashing' events on my phone when using sms, gallery, camera.
Called Cust Service who wanted to do the same stuff all over again...i.e. reset phone but I insisted that they escalate it.
They got back to me within 72 hours and I had a new handset the following week. Upon checking I now have an up-to-date firmware.
As an aside, the new phone actually feels a lot different. The slide is firmer and more stable and the keypad also feels of a better quality. Anyone had similar experiences?
    Cheers,

  • HT201401 My phone won't lock or go into sleep mode when answering calls

My phone won't lock or go into sleep mode when making or receiving calls. Consequently I keep activating the mute or loud speaker buttons with my cheek. Can anyone help please??

That is a Proximity Sensor Problem, which is located above the earpiece speaker. Do you have a new screen protector or iPhone Case which could interfer with this?
    Reset iPhone, Restore iPhone.
If you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

  • When answering call, phone did a reboot on its own

Was answering a call earlier and when I slid the unlock to answer, the white apple came up. Forcing the call to voicemail. I did not have my fingers on the buttons that force a reset either.
Apps have been crashing alot lately and things are starting to go downhill.
any suggestion to what may be happening?

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If still a problem, try a restore with your backup or as new, i.e. without your backup.

  • Inconsistent SPA504G Issue When Answering Calls

    Hello,
I have a user reporting very odd behavior with their Cisco SPA504G phone. They get a call and if they pick up the handset in two rings or less, the call doesn't seem to "complete" and they hear nothing. It has been reported however that if they wait until the first two rings have passed, they are able to answer the call after the third ring.
I'm at a loss as to what could be causing the issue since I too have an SPA504G phone and have no such issues, as well as other users.  It is isolated to just the one user.  I spoke to our phone administrator and according to their logs:
9/11 @ 2:40  : Queue call, the system did not receive a pickup notification and rolled over to the next agent.
9/11 @ 5:23  : Extension 2625 calls extension 2738 which is forwarding to 2747.  2625 Immediately hangs up upon dialing the number, then proceeds to dial 2739.  My guess here is that 2625 saw they were dialing the wrong number and quickly hung up.
9/11 @ 5:28  :  Queue call, the system did not receive a pickup notification and rolled over to the next agent."
User experiencing the issue is the 2747 ext.

    Hardware Version - 1.0.3
Any help is greatly appreciated and I would be happy to gather any additional information as requested.

  • Callers cannot hear me when answering calls...

    Try checking your volume.

  • No sound when answering call

I have had this happen to me quite a few times since getting this phone a few months a go. I answer a call and nothing. No sound at all. I can't hear the person. The only way I have found to fix it is to reboot my phone by taking out the battery. Has anyone had this problem or have any fixes for it?

Welcome to BB Forums! I have a CURVE 8330. I had the 4.3 OS.  I frequently had the same problem with mine.  I could answer the call or even call someone, they could hear me but I heard nothing. I had to do the battery pull trick.  However, on Saturday I upgraded to 4.5 OS and I haven't had it happen again. i have heard that the software had a problem.  Maybe you can upgrade? Hope that helps...

  • I have an iPhone 4 and suddenly the "slide to unlock" button will not work.  I can not use the phone, answer calls or anything at all. Ideas?

I have an iPhone 4s. All of a sudden the slide to unlock button does not work. I cannot access the phone, answer phone calls, or do anything with the phone. Anyone have any ideas?

I was having a similar problem but only when answering calls. A reset seems to have fixed it. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If that doesn't do it you may need to contact Apple Care or take it in for repair.

  • IPhone4 iOS 7.1 doesn't go black when taking calls

    Hi,
Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.1 I'm facing problems that it doesn't go black or sleep mode when taking calls making me hitting buttons during a call. Could this be an issue of iOS upgrade or something wrong with proximity sensor?
If it's the proximity sensor, is there a way I could try and see if it's working (something like covering the front? which I tried and didn't work either).

Screen won't lock or go black when answering calls
Verify mute or speaker have not been activated, just prior to placing your ear over the receiver.
While on a call hold your hand over the top third of the display, and verify that the screen is locked or goes to sleep.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • My 4s Goes to speakerphone automatically while calling and does not go back to normal even after disabling speaker  while calling

My 4s Goes to speakerphone automatically while calling and does not go back to normal even after disabling speaker phone button
AlsO sometimes I. Cannot hear anything in normal speaker even though the call Is going through and has been re ieved on the other end, I have to enable speaker and then disable it to route audio to normal speakers

I think that it is something wrong with kernel and graphic drivers but i'm not able to solve it from the beginning of using of Arch by me.
I'm not so sure this issue is software-related only because in my case it seems the laptop screen enters power-saving mode (10-min timeout) on its own without any events logged (as shown by dmesg) so my next thought was OK, I'm going to get rid of this issue disabling the screen power-saving timeout in the BIOS and set it to never power down or something like that and from then on managing power mode manually; ie: when I want to power down I will just use systemctl suspend/hibernate which work fine ... problem is: there are no related options in my BIOS for such timeout.
The only timeouts I have are in /etc/systemd/logind.conf set to 30min (#IdleActionSec) (commented) by default so these are not in effect because the screens goes blank after 10m which is less than the (default) 30m in logind. Maybe setting loggind to 9m (un-commented) to catch the event before the machine-default one ?
    IdleActionSec=9min
    IdleAction=suspend
Will check it and report back.

  • Automatic activity when a inbound call is received

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to integrate Cisco unified crm connector for SAP and enable CTI for SAP CRM IC Web Client. The major purpose is to get the customer screenpop based on a Customer Key, but there is one more requirement to write a automatic activity to note down the time when the call landed, and who received the call, etc.
Does Integrated Communication Interface (ICI) support this functionality? Anybody tried this before?
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi,
In CRM IC WebClient when the IC Agent receives the call, then agent confirms the Account. Once the agent confirm the Account an Interaction Record is automatically created. This is a standard process and I think should serve your purpose.

  • When i try to make a call it automatically goes to end call and back to my contacts

when i try to make a call it automatically goes to end call and back to my contacts

This is a common problem with iPhone 4s (and IOS 5)  There isn't ' anything you can do about it, so you're best bet is to go down to the store and get an exchange. If you have an older iPhone (3gs/4) roll back your update from IOS 5 to IOS 4.

  • Automatic entry of voicemail password when I call my voicemail

I am one of probably thousands of past Blackberry users that have upgraded to an iPhone. I used to be able to set up my old device so that when I called my voicemail, my password would be entered automatically by the device (delay keys followed by password). This saved me having to type my voicemail password every time I checked my voicemail. Does the iPhone have a similar option. And, if so, how do I do this???
Thanks to anyone out there with an answer to this question.
    Loving my iPhone4...

I WANT the existing Voicemail icon to be able to accept my additional password so that I don't have to punch it in every time i call... This is NOT a new issue - why is Apple so slow to provide a solution??
Apple has provided a solution. It's called Visual Voicemail. Call your carrier.
