Speakerphone not working
No one can hear me when I turn speakerphone on on my iPhone 5 and Siri will only work when the phone is up too my ear
Try restarting, then resetting your phone:

If neither of those two steps work, make an appointment at an Apple store.

BB Pearl 8120 - speakerphone not working
Hello
I wonder if anyone can help me. My speakerphone is not working so I can not hear any incoming calls. My profiles are set to Loud. When I listen to ring tones I have to switch to handset otherwise I can't hear them. And if I press period during a call everything goes mute. Any idea? My service provider just told me I have to speak to BlackBerry but I can't even see a phone number to call. I only bought my phone in July. Any ideas?
Thanks
NoolsHmmm. What if you try and change to a different profile? So if Loud is the active profile, try changing to Normal and see if that makes a difference
Also this has never worked, or just stopped working?

Sound / Speakerphone Not Working
I have a new Pearl Flip 8230. All of a sudden the sound/tones/speakerphone does not work. I have gone through all the settings and can't seem to see what changed. I can hear everything if I activate handset but when I activate speakerphone... I get nothing. I'm sure it is something simple... I just can't see it.
I have installed the newest version of Desktop Manager as well and wiped the unit and updated the OS to latest version. I have also removed the battery.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Sounds like a hardware issue, is it still under warranty?

IOS 8.0.2 Speakerphone Not Working
I was running IOS 8 on my iPhone 5 without issue. However, after updating to IOS 8.0.2 the speakerphone stopped working.
1. Earbuds work, holding it up to my ear during a phone call with the speaker turned off works.
2. When speaker is selected during a phone call no sound comes out of the phone speaker.
3. When playing a song from iTunes no sound is produced from the speaker whether it is held up to my ear or held away only earbuds work with iTunes
4. Siri works but does not produce any sound output except through earbuds
Everything worked fine until I updated to 8.0.2. I've Restored the phone 3 times while directly connected to my Mac using iTunes 14.4.
I really wish I could downgrade to IOS 7. I have 8 other devices I've bought for family members and have had to advise them not to upgrade until these issues are fixed.
If there are any suggestions, other than restoring the phone which had already been done a number of times, I'd be happy to entertain them.Update to my original post:
I've tried the following without success:
1. Erase the phone and restore from my iCloud backup
2. Erase the phone and set up as a new phone
3. Turn on Bluetooth, Turn off Bluetooth
4. Plug in earphones and leave in for several minutes then unplug
5. Press the lower right corner of the phone for about 20 seconds in case a contact was loose
Nothing worked so far in regard to getting sound out of the speaker with the momentary exception documented below.
When using bluetooth with Google Glass I noticed on a phone call that the Bluetooth would cut out and sound would momentarily come out of the phone speaker then bluetooth would reconnect and sound would once again come out of the earpiece.
Once again this did not occur until the IOS 8.0.2 update.

IPhone speakerphone not working
My iPhone 4 is having this obnoious issue:
When I turn on the speakerphone, the other party doesn't hear me unless I yell into the phone, and even then they only sometimes hear me. When speakerphone is off, they hear me perfectly fine. I took a video, and the sound is also slim to none. Very very low volume.
Anything I can do?What iOS version are you on? If you can update to a newer version I would reccomend trying that. You can also try hard booting your phone. (Holding Home and Power until the Apple Logo appears) I had the same problem a year ago. I brought it to Apple and they did a few tests and found out it was a hardware issue. They replaced it for free. Before they did that though, they told me to restore and update, which I did, but it didn't make a difference. Which is why they replaced it.

Video microphone/ speakerphone not working
Whenever I put my phone on speaker (call) people can't hear me- or when I record a video the sound plays back muffled. I have reset all settings on my phone in the past for a quick fix but now its doing it again. Any one know what setting changes may be causing this?
I had this problem too on an iPad 2. It seemed to be stuck on the Photo option. (I had thought that tapping the words Video or Square would work but it doesn't.) On another thread it is said that to select Video or Square just swipe up (or down) the screen with one finger. That certainly works on my iPad 2.

or gaming youtube, while call or voice recording playing - all works fine, so speakerphone is working but not on all apps. hard reset done - no changes.
iphone 4
SOLVED plugin to charger solved it - so problem was with contacts -- no idea why - phone is new - no water - no havy dust - usual using
hope will never return. ThanksWe checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

Microphone not working with speakerphone
I recently purchased a iPhone 4 which is pre-owned. I soon discovered that the microphone is not working when ever I'm using speakerphone.
The microphone works fine otherwise and I can hear the call fine when in speakerphone mode. The problem is only with the microphone not working while in speakerphone mode. Based on some initial Google searches, I can see this is a relatively common issue on iPhones (4 & 4s models) but have not seen a way to resolve. Please help me resolve. This may be relevant. I've been getting warnings "Device storage almost full" recently - even though I have an SD card that is almost empty. I suppose the device doesn't know to automatically use that for any downloaded/photos, etc.
In any case, I made some room, but is it possible that "core" stuff may have been overwritten (obviously some kind of s/w bug if so). How likely would this scenario be? I realize that anything is possible, including a meteor strike - but I was curious whether this is something that is "realitiscally" likely with the current BB OS.
Also, if I back up my data, do an OS reload, and then restore my data - is there a chance that the problem might come back? (given that the data I will back up now will have "more space" than when the warnings started coming, since I deleted some stuff).
Thanks again. -

IPhone 4 phone speaker not working
Have seen a lot of posts on this issue, but not as much recently, at least nothing with a working solution.
2 days ago, the phone ear speaker stopped working on my iPhone4.
-Speakerphone still works
-Earbuds still work
-Mouthpiece still works (others can hear me).
-Cannot hear voicemails through the ear speaker either.
I have tried:
-Restore via iTunes
-Reset via phone
-Cleaning the ear phone port
-Cleaning the ear speaker grill
I have a 15 month old iPhone 4 running OS 5.0.1
Any ideas out there?I had this exact problem. I upgraded to 5.1 and thought that WAS the issue. BUT I found a person who said they pressed around the earphone jack and ear speaker and got theirs working. So I took the phone out of my Otter Box and did that, it still didn't work... BUT the struggle of getting the phone back in the Otter Box apparently triggered something that worked as everything is back to normal... for now. So it was a harware issue. Hope this helps!

Anyone else's iPhone 4s speaker not working after update to iOS 6.1?
My speaker does not work after updating the software to iOS 6.1. No sound for incoming calls or texts, no speakerphone, no siri, no music or any sounds played from apps. Headphones still work as does anything plugged into the headphone jack. I've check all my settings - everything is correct. I've rebooted and restored settings several times, I've docked it - nothing works.
Anyone else having this problem? Did anyone have this problem and were able to fix it? Does anyone know if Apple is aware and will be sending another update to fix it? I really don't think it's a hardware problem. Phone is in immaculate condition and never dropped or spilled on.As stated...
Sorry... But...

You will need to look elsewhere -
I have never dropped my iphone and it's not water damaged. Today all of a sudden the microphone had stopped working on my calls, voice memos and Siri. It still works on speaker phone and when I put my headphones in! I really need help I don't want to have to buy a new one I only have it 6 months!!
This happened to me also. iPhone 4s. 6.1.3. Verizon. Speakerphone stopped working during a phone call. Speaker phone icon was lit. Person on other side of call could listen in. But no sound from speaker. Music doesn't play. Siri disappeared although she returned temporarily after I did a restore to new phone and then she went away again. What I've tried without success.
Verified settings
Reset (soft and hard)
Restore to backup
Then full restore to new phone
Headphone jack in/out 7 or 8 times trick
Blow out headphone jack with compressed air
Carefully cleaning headphone jack with a slightly less cottoned Q Tip
Carefully examined dock port to see if there was debris
Blowing out the dock port with compressed air
Voodoo incantations
Sacrificing a McDonald's chicken nugget to the Gods of hunger
Nothing worked. I've googled the problem and I see that there is a division in the tech nerds between hardware (speaker or dock problem) vs software (Apple screwed up one of the updates). I'm suspecting a dock problem. Phone out of warranty. It's not a brick but it is certainly not as functional as it once was. Any ideas? dock? software? magic? thx. -
My microphone is not working what should I do (iPhone 4S)
When people ring me they can't hear a word I say but I can hear them perfectly my music still plays normally as well, I spoke to someone about the same problem and they said if its in warranty the phone company can replace it, however I don't think it is. Is there anything else I can do to fix the problem? Thanks
Are you certain you arene't accidentally activating the Mute button? Does it also not work when on speakerphone?
If not, then try restarting your device. Simulataneously press and hold the Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo appears. This will take about 10 seconds. Don't worry, your data will not be affected.

Question for iMac users (late 2012): I'm considering purchasing a 27 inch iMac. I was wondering whether there is a possibility for convenience of use to display say 1440 px on a 27 inch in a retina fashion. Meaning all 2500 px are used - for instance
