Speakers echoing

I am having a problem with my sound sounding like its echoing.  its not at all the quality of sound that its suppose to sound like. is there any way to change the settings on the sound to make it sound normal?

Why can I only see the complaints about the Echo sound but no one with a resolution?  It seems Toshiba goes out of its way to force you to call for any problem. I would like to email my concern or fax it. I just want to fix the echo on my Satellite L505D-S5992 with Windows 7 that I purchased this past January. [email protected]

i dont know why but my speakers just echo when i listen to music etc. i have creative 5.. can anyone help?

What soundcard and speakers do you have?
If you have an Audigy series soundcard, is CMSS2 enabled? If so, that would cause an effect that some might describe as "echo".

  • Creative Inspire 5200 - Rear speakers echoing effect

The front 3 speakers are fine - sound is normal, crisp and clear. But the 2 rear speakers have sorta fuzzy echoing thing going on... it's kinda hard to describe. And I just want to know is this normal... Maybe creating a surroudn sound illusion thing... ?

Hey budd would you try a bios update and see if that don't help all you need to do is visit the computer companys website if it's a brand computer and look for there support page then downloads and bios updates but if you built the computer or some one else did then get the motherboard model from them or google search for software that can find the model and junk like that and see if you can get that bios upfated and after you update it preset the bios to defaults then try the sound again and see if that don't make a diffrence?
You just may have to get a new soundcard as well for the sytem to work with the card. I hear a lot about them 5.1 cards having problems with some of these new suround systems and it seems to be a incompatibility isue but thats up to you I mean if you wanted to try you could hook the speakers to another computer and see if you get better luck and if so you know it's the card
Good Luck and sorry if this is not what kind of news you were looking for but this is all that I can come up with

  • How to get sound on rear speakers with vis

?I found, on very obscure intructions, how to enable surround sound on vista 32 and 62 bit drivers.
?Do not install the disk that came with the sound card, if so, then uninstall. Then use (only) the vista drivers for vista 32 bit or 64 bit. The disk, and the drivers on this website, together installed?won't work.
?Then?click Start,?then go to?programs then creative. There in the controll panel select xifi-cmss 3d. Under stereo envelopment put 50% that equals the sound between front and back speakers. and that's it. It worked 00% for me, it might work for you.Art.

after having slept a couple of hours and read about a bit about pulse and jack the general feeling I get is that they cause people trouble.
Understanding how to write a good .asoundrc seems to be the best option, but a bit complicated. Since I didn't actually want sound from both cards, but merely a simpler way to switch, I've given up for now. I wrote a simple script to do it for me, and running that is actually simpler than fiddling in alsamixer, finding and muting/unmuting channels/cards
I don't feel I've solved the issue, since I didn't get what I asked for (sound from both cards at the same time) but I have what I want (a simple way of switching) and I know where to look (finding out how alsa handles virtual cards, setting one up and send all sound that goes there to my actual cards or configuring pulse/jack this thread was sort of helpful as it begins to explain a .asoundrc) if I feel a need for it in the future.
Thanks anyway for all the help. After 4 years of Arch use (and more then I can remember on linux) I still feel like a noob sometimes. It's good to have a community.

  • How to get dolby hardware decoded sound in xtreme ga

I bought the creative xtreme music when xfi first came out for use in my htpc. I connected the sound card with my creative gigaworks s750 speakers to watch movies on my 42 inch plasma.
After the xtreme music died. I went out and bought creative xtreme gamer(as xtreme music was no longer around) without realizing that xtreme gamer did not hardware decode dolby. ?
Since the replacement of xtreme music with xtreme gamer; I have always had a problem with the clarity of dialogue in movies.
It was only a few days ago that i stumbled upon this issue of "hardware vs softwer" decode of dolby sound in creative sound cards while reading about daniel K fiasco., So now like any audio head, i desperately want hardware decoded sound from my xtreme gamer sound card for dvd's in my htpc.
As per release notes of the new xfi drivers (see below), I won't have hardware decoded dolby sound even, if i install the new drivers released by creative which supposingly allow hardware decoded sound as i own xtreme gamer.
Sound Blaster X-Fi Series with DVD-Audio Playback and Dolby Digital/DTS Decoding
So is there any moded driver out there which can help me get hardware decoded dolby sound from my xfi xtreme gamer sound card.
    Thankyou in advance.

  • Mic makes an A10 Warthog gatling gun sound

Ok first i want to apologize if this is in the wrong place but I figured this was the only way I could get help for this problem. It started when I built a computer with a experienced friend helping me and everything went pretty well but the HD Audio had
a small peice that was broken  which looked like it was made to keep the head phone detection pin in. It stuck out more than the others so I just pushed that one in with a small piece of wood and the headphones work fine I always use them. The connector
was flush against the piece of plastic with the connectors so I figure its not that but im just putting it out there. Now the problem is that when I join my friends on Skype to play games like Arma and Bf3 I  after a minute my mic will make a roaring
loud sound and i can hear it through echo, I swear it sounds like an A10 Warthog gatling gun firing. this will persist in bursts until I alt tab or exit the game entirely. I know its not the mic and ive tried both the front ports and rear ports but it always
happens, I opened the case and watched while it made these sounds and couldn't see any thing in a fan but the fans are still rather loud on their own while playing a game. That is all i can say about it and if you read through this massive paragraph then i
thank you, Any suggestions will be GREATLY apreciated

    Hi,
First ensure that this echo is not being caused by a third party application. Test the default Windows sounds, then try configuring the speaker. If the issue persists, test in safe mode.

  • Echo-ey Audio not caused by nearness of mic to speakers

I"m trying to record an audio chat for a podcast on iPhone gaming. I keep getting echo-ey bounceback on my own voice. In other words, when I talk, I hear a bounceback from the other side, almost as if my friend has his external speakers on. Which he doesn't. We both are using a regular microphone (mine's attached through a pre-amp to the iMac via USB) and headphones. He hears his own bounceback, but not mine.
This is the article I found on the topic, and it doesn't seem relevant, even though we tried these steps, too: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306888
Have any ideas as to what's causing this?

What is the delay in what he hears ?
The Doc you just looked at would be about a 1 to 2 sec delay in hearing his own voice come back from your end.
As you have headphones this would seem unlikely.
Therefore we are looking at the preamp and other Audio issues
Is the Preamp though a Hub to be USB (Keyboard or Screen count) ?
Does it go away if connected directly to the Mac ? (I now it is an iMac combined screen and computer - don't count this)
This Preamp is not connected to the Output in anyway ?
Does it also appear in System Preferences > Sound > Output ?
    If so deselect it here.

  • Echo From Setting Change in Speakers Mic

Running HP Notebook, all was w-ll tell I changed a setting after using USB plug-in speakers just fine for months.  THEY now resinate or squelch my voice as though a high pitched microphone... My voice never came thru them initially at all.  The mic on the computer picked up my voice for audio....Now I can't seem to change any setting to (a) restore my original setting and ( b) to use the speakers at all without the sound of echo squelch of my voice and even with silence....so no use of speakers at all.  They plug via usb and the mic or headphone jack at front of the laptop.  Any help out there??? What did I do?   Thanks!

    Hi,
First of all we can't do any changes in production system. System will not allow to do the changes it will give the prompt disply only.
Regarding performance it will decrease the system system performance because of SID's .
data deletion is not required once you will do this change the dso will available for reporting..
    Hope this is clear..

  • Speakeres make a scratchy echo noise.

    Hello
I recently purcahsed a brand new imac, and i noticed that when i play sound there is a scratchy echo noice so to it. Please note that these are seperate sounds and when im in Safari or Word it is not present. ITs just when i put music on or game that has sound. If i crank the volume up it seems to disappear but at the volume i like it is present and it is veryannoying. After having a very troubled imac in the past (3 weeks in repair) and 5 dead pixels and getting another imac that is faulty, i am not a happy camper. Also i did get 1 random shutdown. Maybe that was beacuse the imac was hot, the top of the case felt scorching hot.
    Well thanks in advanced:
    Imac 20 inch
    2.4 Ghz

No im certain it is not from the game becuase when i open a APP that requires sound it will do it with all games and all apps that require sound.

  • Can I stream Spotify through my iPad speakers and a Bluetooth speaker ( Amazon Echo) at the same time?

I Liste to Spotify through my iPad via an Amazon echo via Bluetooth. I'd like to be able to hear the music through my iPad speaker as well if I carry it to another room. Is this possible?

Bluetooth support for Apple Wireless Keyboard (requires Apple TV software version 5.2 or later)

if you can find a device which take in optical audio from the Apple TV and make it bluetooth to the bluetooth speaker then suppose it would work
but since it would need to be configured it would need controls or a webserver like a router has so very expensive

  • Echoing and screeching from speakers

Ever since i updated to windows 8.1 on my HP Envy 20 d010, my sound quality is just awful. There is virturally no bass anymore and it always echoes, if the volume gets turned up above 26 it screeches and rings when sound is playing. I have already tried reinstalling the IDT audio drivers and it didn't make a difference. Could someone please help?

    Hello @AyyitsAndrew,
I understand that the sound on your HP ENVY 20-d010 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC is screeching and ringing and that you have already re-installed your IDT Audio Drivers. • SX20 and SX10 best practices for small conference rooms using built in Display Speakers

    Hi,
Im planning to deploy some small meeting rooms using SX10 and SX20 codecs, I was wondering if someone could give me some key points to consider:
    1. Display recommendation, nice built in speakers, low delay (goog performance with codec echo canceller) I wish to use a 60 - 70 inch Led TV (not yet defined which brand and model)  I would like to receive some feedback about nice performance displays with nice audio and echo cancellation performance based on your experience.
    2. What would be the drawbacks of using SX10 and SX20 in larger meeting rooms maybe 10 or 12 people?
    3. When to use external microphone? or when is recommended to use only  internal microphone?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards,  have a nice day!

Pretty well any modern display should work well - different people are going to have different ideas about whether the speakers are any good or not, so you'll have to listen to a few yourself and make up your mid what you think is "better".  The echo cancellation can be tweaked manually on the codec to suit the display if required (rather than leaving it on the "auto" setting which, in our installations, has caused more troubles than it's worth).
The main drawback of using the SX10, or the cheaper of the range of the SX20s, is the camera and the amount of zoom.  In a larger room, you're not going to get a good close up view with a 2.5x camera.  I'd suggest for a bigger room, you look at the 12x cameras.
As a general rule - use additional microphone(s) when you can't get someone within a 3m radius one of the other microphones.  So in a larger room, you may need many.

  • How to use airplay speakers in multi-output device without crackling audio?

    Hi,
I would like to mirror the audio output from my mac mini to the built-in output and an airplay speaker.
Therefore I added a Multi-Output Device containing  the Built-in- and Airplay output, as soon as I activate the airplay speaker the sound is mirrored but unfortunately always with a crackling sound coming of the speakers set as "slave Device"... only the Device set as "Master Device" has clear sound, doesn't matter if it's the airplay speaker or the speaker (or headphone) directly connected to the built-in output.
I've tested this with a mac mini and an mac book air as audio source, same problem. Both were running Mac OS V. 10.9.2.
Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?
    Greets
    Chris

I'm using a 2011 Macbook Pro running Mavericks and current Apple TV (MD199HK/A 3rd generation) when trying to output audio to both Apple TV and built-in output simultaneously I suffer crackling and popping. I have this issue once I use Audio MIDI Setup (under utilities) to create a Multi-Output Devise. Once I use this multi-output devise made up of Apple TV and Built-In Output to get my music to both output devises at once BUT I get crackling sound on either Spotify or iTunes.
I've worked around this issue by using AirParrot. I select Apple TV in AirParrot with Audio enabled. The Apple TV then takes all audio output, then I select the 'Multi-Output Devise created in 'Audio MIDI Setup' and I have playback through Apple TV and Built-In Output without any crackling or popping.
Only minor outstanding issue is that whatever scenario I then run Audio Midi Setup in terms of setting various devises as Master Clock and resampling of sub devise I can't perfect the sync between Apple TV audio output and my local Macbook Pro, but close enough with the slightest hint of echo. Plenty of forums discussing Word Clock sync which is out of my league. Un-ticking drift correction on the 'AirParrot' audio output has them close enough, depends on how easily you can hear your apple TV output from the room where your Macbook Pro is and vice versa.
