  • Report Painter not showing totals for some cells

    Hi,
We're developing a report painter that will give us a total of all the columns. This total uses a set of variables and a set which essentially is a grouping of the profit centers. The problem is it is not showing any value on the cell. Despite the individual accounts having some values.
Any ideas where could this gone wrong ? the set exist with the correct accounts.
    I.e.
                                    A1            A2           TOTAL (A1 + A2 - defined in set)
    Depreciation            100          100          200 [ but this shows blank]

how did you solve this problem,my financial statement is not reflecting total posted depreciation even though it is reflecting the depreciation in the indididual G/L accounts.

  • Report Painter: Separate formula in each cell of a column

    Hi,
I'm creating a report painter report using GRR1. My 1st column is particulars (which includes revenue & costs) and 2nd column is % to sales. I need a separate formula in each cell of column2 to divide the contents of the respective cell in column1 by sales (the figure in 1 cell) & then multiply it by 100. Is this possible? If yes, then how?

  • How to exclude a cell from a row in Report Painter

    Hello,
In report painter, I am calculating a percentage of a row within a separate row. Is there a way to only calculate this percentage in certain cells within the row? The row defaults to calculate the entire population but it is only necessary for a few cells.
    Thanks,
    Megan

It is possible to reference SSRS elements directly using the ReportItems collection. If your total tablix cell is outside of yoour matrix groups, you can use this collection to accomplish what you want:
    =ReportItems!Matrix1Total.Value + ReportItems!Matrix2Total.Value
where Matrix1Total and Matrix2Total is the name of the cell that contains your totals. Note that for this to work, the cell name must be unique. If the total cell is inside a group, it will be repeated once for each instance of the group and will not be
    unique.
You may be able to do it using the Sum aggregate and specifying the dataset for the scope variable:
    =Sum(Fields!fld1.Value, "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!fld2.Value,
    "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!fld3.Value,
    "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!fld4.Value,
    "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!fld5.Value,
    "DataSet1")+Sum(Fields!fld1.Value,
    "DataSet2")+Sum(Fields!fld2.Value,
    "DataSet2")+Sum(Fields!fld3.Value,
    "DataSet2")+Sum(Fields!fld4.Value,
    "DataSet2")+Sum(Fields!fld5.Value,
    "DataSet2")
This will work as long as you are not filtering the dataset in your Matrix properties. If you are, those
filters will not apply to this expression and the numbers will not total correctly.

  • Merge cells in CO-PA report by report painter tool!

    Hi all,
I am using report painter to define reports in CO-PA.
But I wonder how to merge cells in the header row in CO-PA report?
    For example:
    Column 1: Revenue/ value
Column 2: Revenue / total quantity
Column 3: Cost of Good sold/ value
    Column 4: COGS/ total quantity
    Row 1: Total quantity
    Row 2: Mogas
    Row 3: Gas
Now, I want merge column 1 and 2 to Revenue, then split that merged column into 2 sub columns: value, value/total quantity.
I want merge column 3 and 4 to COGS, then split that merged column into 2 sub columns: value, value/total quantity.
    How can I do that?
    Thanks for any suggestion!
    HuyenTT

I am very sorry. I made a mistake.
Column 1: Revenue - value (usd)
    Column 2: Revenue / total quantity (usd/liter)
Column 3: Cost of Good sold - value (usd)
    Column 4: COGS/ total quantity (usd/liter)
Any idea will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks for any help!

  • Displaying different colors for cells/columns in Interactive Report

    Hi,
I have a requirement to display just the 'cells' in the Interactive Report columns with different colors.
There are 3 columns in the Interactive report.
The color coding for all the 3 different columns should be such that:
    <40% - red color
    40-70-orange
    greater than 70%-green
I tried the highlight option in the report and saved the report as default, but still the color condition ended up getting displayed to the end user. I dont want this.
Can someone suggest a better way to handle this requirement?

  • Error GR493 report painter/writer with special ledger

    Hi ,
I am trying to create a report painter using a table of a special ledger. The table is the one for 'real item'. The following error appears:
'Table ZIFRSA is not installed in Report Writer.
    Message no. GR493
    Diagnosis
The Report Writer can only report on tables if the attributes of these tables that are relevant for reporting are defined in control tables. This is not the case for table ZIFRSA.'
We are not using intercompany transaction. My question is if it possible to make report in report painter/writer with this table.
I can make report with the total table of special ledger, but not with the one for real item.
    Thanks,
    Cecilia.

    Hi Cecilia,
I guess the tables created through SPL should look as follows:
    1. ZIFRST - Totals Table
    2. ZIFRSA  - Actual Line Item Table ( I guess this is what you are calling real item)
    3. ZIFRSP  - Plan Line Items Table
Bear in mind that, the report is not created off table ZIFRSA but rather ZIFRST.  Please create the report writer or report painter using table ZIFRST.
If the above suggestion did not work,  then check the solution provided in OSS note 3761.

  • Special Characters Report Painter

    Hi all,
After SP 2008 implementation on ECC 5.0, special characters as : "( " ; "= "; "+" ; etc... are not recognized for one digit in report painter library.
After analyse, without changing size colums, if the title contain a special character, it is counting for  2 digits instead of one. The report painter doesn't truncate automatically the title and show a blank zone !
Is there an OSS note which correct this problem ?
(Our level of package is SAPKH519)
    Thanks for your help !

  • Dynamic Rows in Report Painter

    Hello everyone,
I'm new to report painter and m using the SAP Library help  material to understand report painter. I've one query though i.e
Is it possible to create a report hrough report painter with dynamic rows ? if yes then pls let me know how.
    Regards
    Anik

    Thank you.
See I have the below Rows
    Total Revenue
    Cost2
    Cost3
    Direct Cost
Gross = Total revenue - Direct Cost
    Gross % = (Gross/Total revenue ) * 100
I have Columns as with basic Key figures and Formulas
    Year(basic key Figure)
    Year+1(basic key Figure)
    Total = Year + (Year+1)
Its giving me correct values in case of Basic Key figures and not in the formula case.
It giving error when there is formula both in Row and Column.
In the above case last row and last colum. Only Column formula is getting implemented.
Here for example I have mentioned 4 rows and 4 columns.. But I have 15 Rows and 30 columns .. out of which 15 rows and columns have formulas...
% Rows are problem.. which gives me errors... I tried using Special cells, but I am not 100% sure how to use them.
I would be very thankful if you can help me out.. Please

  • Table need to be added in report painter library

    HI,
Can't we add any table in report painter library (GR21) like if i add <b>s032</b> it is accepted by library while <b>'MARD'</b> is not accepted it gives error <b>Table MARD is not installed in Report Writer.</b>
what is the difference between s032 and MARD table, as both are transparent table. but one is accepted and other is not.
    Thanks

    Hi
You can't use all tables.see the below lines for it:
Both Report Painter and Report Writer can be used to report on the following tables and tables types:
&#61500;     Evaluation structures set up in the Logistics Information System (LIS). These structures normally begin with an “S” or “ZF.” Several different tables and views within the R/3 System can be added as evaluation structures.
Note: You cannot add cluster tables, such as BSEG.
&#61500;CCSS is used for Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OPA), Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC) and for cost element reports in Project Systems (PS).
&#61500;GLFUNCT is used for functional area reporting in cost-of-sales accounting.
&#61500;GLPCT and GLPCOP are used for Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA/EC-PCA).
&#61500;FILC is used for Legal Consolidations (FI-LC).
&#61500;COFIT is used for the Controlling Reconciliation Ledger (CO-CEL).
&#61500;ZZ tables are created for the Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL).
&#61500;FIMC is used for consolidations in the Enterprise Controlling module (EC-LC).
&#61500;GLT0 is used for Financial Accounting (General Ledger) reports by account, company, and business area (FI-GL).
&#61500;KKBC, KKBE, and KKBU are used for the Controlling Product Costing module (CO-Costing).

  • EXTREMELY URGENT: % Cost (out of Total Costs) Column in Report Painter

    Hi Gurus,
I'm not new to Report Painter, but, am stuck at one thing.
In report, Col 1 shows Costs by Administration (row 1), Labor (row 2), Others (row 3) and total (row 4 being formula as total of row 1, 2 & 3).
Client wants col 2 to show % Cost of each row out of total Expenses (so totals row in this col. will have 100%)
    How to do it technically.
    Please help. It's EXTREMELY URGENT.
    I'll award points ASAP
    Regards,
    SB

Its abit difficult to illustrate without having a screen dump, what you can do is make use of something called special cell definition. Now if you double click on the cell for column 1 of row 4 for total costs then the system identifies it as a cell Z001 which in fact will recognise a constant value of total costs , thereby you can define in Column 2 as a formula element with (X001/Z001)*100 thereby giving a value in %. Try it and see if it helps

  • KE30 Report Painter did not same structure account balance

    Dear All,
I generated a form from report painter KE30 (it was P/L report which for management) ...  and the report was shown ...
My question is can I know which data was assign to the value ...
Example : In P/L .. on Direct Overhead field ....when I generate KE30, it'll shown its value ... (I wanna know .. How can I assign value to it ?)
Yet in KE35, I know that "Direct Overhead field " when I did double klik, it appeared Value field " Direct Overhead " .... with " Process cell : No special cell processing " on the " xxx.xxx.xxx " which refers to value when I run KE30 ...
And yes I know about create Value field " Direct Overhead " (from SPRO--> controlling --> profitabilitas analys ) ... but didn't know the value which assign on it ...
And I can saw it profit center ... The problem is because my structure account balance didn't have same profit with the report from KE30 and I knew that the different from overhead ... Is there any kind solution that I must take or perhaps trace and do to make them same ...

  • Report Painter  - Urgent Please

Please see the problem in the below thread
    Report  Painter
It would be great, if anyone can help me out.
    Many Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kiran A.

To hide some of the reports, there is no way, but you can create a new library copying the original and assign that to the users with the required reports.
There is nothing specially required to make one cell to apply two formulas. Only one formula should work for a cell. My guess is that when there is a row formula, the column formula may not be applied.

  • Report Painter - Urgent

    Dear All,
I am creating a form to be used in report painter with the following:
    Transaction Code : FSI4 / FGI4
Library                : Financial Statement Key figures / Reporting for Table FAGLFLEXT
In case of both the libraries mentioned above, we get figures based on FS items.
However, my report includes values based on GL balances as well as transaction level.
My first requirement is getting satisfied. But how do I bring in values at the transaction level in these two transaction codes and the reference libraries.
    Can Anyone Please Help.

In repotr writter or painter you will not get the transaction details as you are looking.
what you get is the total movements i.e. total debits and total credits in the report.
You need to use formulas and special cell processings by selecting the required cell.
You also need to design your Financial statement version exhaustively so that you can get the GL level data.
    reward points if useful.

  • REPORT WRITER AND REPORT PAINTER

    Hi Techis,
Will anybody pls tell me the details workin of reort painter and report writer along with Tr code and also will u pls give me the steps to execute such type of report.

    hi santosh,
Where Is Report Painter/Report Writer Used?
Initially, both tools were only available to the FI/CO modules. Later, with the introduction of the Logistics Information System and Flexible Analyses in Release 3.x, the functionality of these tools was further expanded. It still is not widely known that the Report Painter/Writer can be used for reporting against structures other than those delivered in FI and CO (see TechTalk on page 8-4).
A common misconception in the user community is that Report Painter/Report Writer can only be used to report against a single table. However, some reporting structures do report against multiple tables. For example, CCSS (for Cost Center Accounting) refers to tables COSP, COSS and more, depending on the key figure configuration. Similarly, FI-SL (Special Purpose Ledger) reporting structures include summary and line-item tables (the key figure set determines where the data comes from).
To configure other table joins, views may be created joining the necessary tables, and views can be added to the control tables, via Flexible Analyses in LIS. Report Painter/Report Writer can be used in almost any application area in R/3 to report on currencies and quantities.
    Data tables supported
Both Report Painter and Report Writer can be used to report on the following tables and tables types:
< Evaluation structures set up in the Logistics Information System (LIS). These structures normally begin with an “S” or “ZF.” Several different tables and views within the R/3 System can be added as evaluation structures.
Note: You cannot add cluster tables, such as BSEG.
< CCSS is used for Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OPA), Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC) and for cost element reports in Project Systems (PS).
< GLFUNCT is used for functional area reporting in cost-of-sales accounting.
< GLPCT and GLPCOP are used for Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA/EC-PCA).
< FILC is used for Legal Consolidations (FI-LC).
< COFIT is used for the Controlling Reconciliation Ledger (CO-CEL).
< ZZ tables are created for the Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL).
< FIMC is used for consolidations in the Enterprise Controlling module (EC-LC).
< GLT0 is used for Financial Accounting (General Ledger) reports by account, company, and business area (FI-GL).
< KKBC, KKBE, and KKBU are used for the Controlling Product Costing module (CO-Costing).
< New in Release 4.0A: RWCOOM is used for CO-CCA, CO-OPA, and CO-ABC. RWCOOM is used for special standard reports like internal order budget reports, cost center budget reports and cost component reports.
Note: RPPS was used for Project Systems (PS). However, it is obsolete and will no longer be supported in Release 4.0. In Release 3.x there were only two special reports (6P70 and 6P71) using RPPS. These reports cannot be called directly, but via ABAP reports RKOPLAN0 and RKOPLAN1.
How to Access Report Painter/Report Writer?
To access the Report Painter you may use either of the following two methods:
    < Transaction FGRP
< From the SAP main menu, choose Information systems ® Ad hoc reports® Report painter.
Report Writer functions can be accessed from within the Report Painter. To access Report Writer, choose the following menu path from the SAP main menu:
Information systems ® Ad hoc reports® Report painter® Report Writer.
How Is Report Painter/Report Writer Organized?
Report Painter/Report Writer has four main components:
< Sets: Sets are logical groupings of characteristic values. For example, a cash line on a balance sheet is made up of a set of cash accounts or an energy product line on an inventory report is made up of a set of energy products. Variables can also be created which are placeholders for sets, or values within sets.
< Libraries: Libraries control which characteristics and key figures from a table are available for reporting.
< Reports: Reports hold a definition of the rows, columns, and overall data selection. They also include the header and footer texts and layout settings.
< Report Groups: Report groups can contain one or more reports. The report group is what you execute—not the actual report. A report group is generated to create a set of ABAP programs that produce the reports.
How Does Report Painter Differ from Other Reporting Tools?
< With the exception of row titles which have text fields, Report Painter/Report Writer reports display numerical fields only (for example, dollar and quantity fields). This is not a requirement for ABAP Query and typical line item reporting tools, which can display arbitrary text columns.
< While printed Report Painter/Report Writer reports appear much the same way on paper as they do on screen, the Drilldown reporting tool produces a different output format. Drilldown reporting is an online analytical tool which can be used to drill down to different levels of detail, but it is infrequently used for printing.
< Report Painter/Report Writer reports are hierarchical and take advantage of configured hierarchies (for example, with cost center hierarchies). You can also execute Report Painter/Report Writer reports from each level within a hierarchy.
< Report Painter/Report Writer reports can handle multiple currency/quantity units within a single column.
< Report Painter/Report Writer is well suited to handle reports that require mass production. For example, Report Painter/Report Writer is a particularly effective tool for creating month-end reports.
