Special Char disappear after the JMS Adpater

Hi all,
I have a problem and nees help because I don't know the solution.
We send a flat Idoc via a JMS Adapter from XI to a Websphere Queue.
The flat Idocs have special chars like "ø", "ö", "ä"...
Unforunately in the message on the queue (after the JMS adapter) we miss this chars and one char behind the special char. They are away.
In XI I can see that the char are there.
So I think the that JMS adapter removes this files.
Can you help me please? What do I need to change in the JMS adapter?

sounds like an encoding problem. Seems there is a way to change the encoding at the JMS receiver side.

I don't know if I'm on the same page as you.
But if you backed up the phone with those contacts pictures notes etc, you should get them back.
After restoring your phone, use the back up that done when you had those contacts messages etc??

All newly installed apps disappear after the installation is done?

My problem started a few days ago. I install a new app from the app store and it shows up as loading on the home screen. As soon as the installation is done the icon simply disappears. Finder cannot locate it and the store shows the OPEN button, but it does nothing when pressed.I tried settings/general/usage/storage and the missing apps are there but the name of the missing apps does not show. I only see the icon and the size. I can delete the apps from there but reinstalling them does not help.

Unfortunately that did not help. It seems that there is a limit on the number of apps that can be shown on the home screen. I have close to 200 apps installed, and they are organized in folders on the home screen (3 pages). I must have hit the limit for apps in the home screen. I can install new apps, but they will not show up. If i delete one of the old apps then install a new one it will show on the home screen. I believe when the count gets to 189 then the next one (#190) will disappear after installation.

Anyone having a problem with iMovie in Mavericks v 10.9.3 ? when previewing the a slideshow the colors all disappear after the first image.

Make the signature disappear after the modification of a certified document

Hallo,
I would like to certify a document to make the people who receive it aware that it is a unique and original document and to discourage people in modifing it.
I've tried using certificate function and, when I activate the certification, the document became protected from editing and my digital signature appears on it.
That's ok but, with one of the many programs used to unlock the protected .pdf documents, I was able to edit the document, my digital signature didn't disappear and the document seem to be original apart from the signature functions which aren't enabled anymore.
I would like a strong visual change on the document, like the disappearing of the signature or the appearing of a mark, in order to tell people:"If you see/don't see this mark the document could have been modified and you don't have to rely on it", is it possible?
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.

Hi Chris,
Just to be clear, I'm only talking about what Acrobat does. To begin with, Acrobat will respect (enforce) the permissions that correspond to a Digital Signature (be it a Certifying or Regular signature). If somehow you do something to the file that is not allowed by the permission set, then the signsature will be rendered invalid.
The question I have is what application is making the change. When it comes to third party software (i.e. not made by Adobe) as long as it can open the file the user can do whatever they want. You can always open a PDF in a text editor and make a change. Whether or not the third party software processes the signature or obeys the permissions is a separate question.
Finally, back to your question. If you do make a change using third party software that is outside the scope of the signature, when you reopen the file in Acrobat (and when I say Acrobat I really mean both Acrobat and Reader, but I'm too lazy to type both) it will show up as invalid. If you made changes that are within the scope of the signature, then the signature would be valid with changes. It would be just as if you made an allowable change using Acrobat.
For example, if adding form data was an allowable change for a Certifying signature, and your ability to write in PDF is strong enough to add the data to the correct object using the third party software, and update the XREF table while keeping the signature byte range intact, when opening the file in Acrobat you would get a valid signature.

Font Collections Disappear after the Font Book is closed (OS X 10.4.3)

My font collections in Font Book 2 have been disappearing for awhile now and I can't seem to resolve this issue. So far I've reinstalled (archived) OS X 10.4.3, I've also tried throwing away the font book preferences (apple.com). I need help! I see that I'm not the only person who's having this problem. Is there something else I can do that doesn't involved reinstalling everything! Thanks Matt

Hi cmatt.
Make sure you are the Owner and have Access of Read & Write of your Home > Library > FontCollections folder. Font collections and font libraries you create are saved in this folder. You should be the Owner of
this folder and have Access of Read & Write on such.
Likewise, be sure you are the Owner and have Access of Read & Write of your Home > Library folder and your Home folder.
You can check this using the Details subpanel of the Ownership & Permissions Panel of the Get Info window of those folders.

ASM disk disappeared after the db and system bounce

I have a grid control 11g setup. after a db and system bounce, the asm disks disappreared from the /dev/oracleasm/disks.
The querydisks shows nothing
but the OS disks are existing and labelled as ASM disks.

That was not the problem. I got solution. The problem was the way RHEL5 search the disks. I had to comment the content of 90-dm.rules and a system bounce.

Child view Toolbar and Statusbar disappeared after the application got ribbon toolbar incorporated

Hello everyone,
I have a C++/MFC MDI application, which has been recently updated to incorporate the Ribbon toolbar/status bar. One of the application's child views has its own "old style" toolbar and status bar, and for the time being it was planned to
leave it like that. To my surprise upon opening that view I found that both toolbar and status bar are gone.
Could it be related to the app having the ribbon? If yes, how to re-enable those bars for a particular view? Despite the fact the way both bars are created is pretty regular I am adding the code excerpt below.

first of all thank you for your response.
Now regarding the project.
Yes, I have this application, which has been written in C++/MFC. It is like I mentioned, MDI app, which in particular employs several (7 or 8) child frame templates. One of these templates is supposed to have a toolbar and a status bar of its
own. It all worked fine for many years. This year the project underwent several major changes: 1. Ported to 64-bit platform; 2. Get compiled as a .NET project (with /clr qualifier), despite the fact it is a pretty formal change, and the code is still unmanaged;
and 3. The mainframe menu and toolbars were replaced with the Ribbon toolbar. With all that in place I would like to leave that child frame untouched (meaning with its own CToolBar and CStatusBar).
Unfortunately I did not have a chance (or actually time) to test the option that uses this child frame until yesterday, and oops... the contents is there but not a sign of toolbar and of the status bar.
I do not know which implementation details might be of interest for you - but the handling is pretty simple: creating a template in the application's InitInstance() using something like:

Dock icons disappeared after the Dock app killed via terminal

Hello, I'm running the new OS X Mavericks on a late 09' Mac Mini, my problem started when I had finished updating Grageband.
When the update was over, from some reason the Grageband icon became invisible, so i tried using the "killall Dock" commend via terminal to restart the dock.
And it took considerably longer then usual, and when it came back up, most of the icons became invisible too, well, as I'm pretty sure it's a one time bug and it will be resolved when I'll restart the machine I'll relog to my user, is that happened to anyone else? and is there anything I can do to prevent this problem in the future?

Ive added a screen shot. Can't drag and drop the trash can....:-/
Looked up the cmd and now I have a properly working dock. Didnt have to drag any apps out either

Page encoding / charset / special chars / NON-ASCII chars

Whenever special characters are used in our environment, the data is stored incorrect ...
® gets converted to Â®
and other special chars gets converted to other special chars ... the strange thing is that some inputText fields in some pages work just fine ..chars dont get converted and it happend in some other many pages ...not sure whats going on ..I tried to change the charset or the pageEncoding of the pages or even manually using the setPageEncoding in the reequest and in the response ..with no luck ...when I print the request params ..the values are converted, so ma not sure at what stage the string get converted and how to prevent it ...
Charset of the jsp-page is UTF-8. Need help here please.

You must verify that all resources are in UTF-8. There are a couple of places you have to check:

Embedded OC4J JSP Compiler options

Pictures in iWeb albums disappeared after change location of original files

I created many albums in iWeb by dragging albums from iPhoto. But then I noticed some pictures from my iWeb albums disappeared after the original pictures got removed to another location (or deleted). How can I tell iWeb to make a copy of the pictures in iWeb itself so my iWeb albums can stay the same even when i need to reorganize the original files on the hard drive?
Any suggestions on how to restoring my albums in iWeb? I am having a bit headache now. Thank you very much!

That is not normal behavior. The photos should stay in iWeb even if you delete them from iPhoto. Are you running a "referenced" library or a "managed" one?

Managed is the default option. If you're running a reference library that may be the reason. If so contact Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iweb.html and http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
Unless you have a backup of your domain file predating the loss of the photos I don't know how you will recover the photos.

Creative Cloud App installer disappears after "Initialising Installer" stage

I recently had to reboot my laptop to its settings for 4 days ago, and ever since then I cannot seem to download CC app at all.
I don't even get an error message, the installer just disappears after the Initialising Installer stage.
I have tried using the uninstaller tool, but when I try to reinstall the same thing happens.
This is very frustrating. I did not expect to have to pay for the CS6 products and to not be able to download the software itself.
I pay monthly for this service and the more days I go unable to download the software seems frankly a waste of my money.
Your help would be much appreciated.

For Windows :
Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
Important :
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
Then try to install Creative Cloud desktop application.

Select option values disappearing from the Selection screen

I have a selection screen in a report which has push button in the Application toolbar . When I press the button in the application toolbar it should get the count of the output just like in se16 and display it as message.
I have added the button and I am processing the same in the AT-SELECTION_SCREEN event
