Special characters when reply to an email

hello,
When i reply to an e-mail address with special characters, it cuts the e-mail address in half. For example: Richárd.décharté[email protected] . it cuts the word where the special character is typed so you can’t reply. Or you have to type the whole emailadres by yourself.
Is there a way to solve this? This is on the iPad and iPhone 4 with newest iOs version

I don't know how rare this is. I went a week or so without a problem, and now it's starting to recur. Also, in some instances, an email will look unsent (remain in the outbox on the Treo), but it has been sent, and recipients are replying while I'm trying to figure out what is going on. Further, it will send the same email over and over during this madness.
This is a show stopper. If there isn't a software fix soon, I may chuck this phone in the garbage.

UPDATE: The problem comes and goes. The next day, no changes to the treo, everything workeds. Now i'm suspecting the sprint server, and how it/the phone responds from failing to send while roaming. I've since turned off roaming, and haven't had a problem for several days.

How to include Reply-To addresses when reply to multiple emails

When reply to multiple email messages in Mail, I follow the instructions by Aral Balkan(http://aralbalkan.com/1136),
But the problem is, it only reply the "From" field address for multiple emails. The "To", "CC" and "Reply-To" field addresses are not included. How can I manage to reply to all Reply-To addresses for multiple email messages in Mail?

Did you ever get a reply to this question or did you manage to solve the issue in any way or shape? I am experiencing the same so eager to hear a solution.

My BB is Z10, Email protocol is Exchang ActiveSync.
Garbled text when reply chinese content email, But preview is normal, Just reply when will appear garbled.
English content email no this problem.

Where does this garbled reply appear - on your device? Recipients device? On a computer?
When you are typing your email, you are able to see it in Chinese?

Special characters an issue in reading email from server?

I have an email application that uses javamail 1.4.1 that grabs emails out of flat files and displays the messages on the screen. Until recently, all email was sent within the business, but now they are able to receive emails from any email provider. We've been seeing issues where parts of messages go missing, even links to attachments that don't get displayed to the screen. All of the correct information is in the flat files, but it doesn't get displayed. Does Javamail do anything to handle special characters or is there anything you think I could try to get these messages to display? It's really causing some problems!

As far as I can tell, it's not throwing any exceptions, the only ones I catch in retrieving emails are MessagingException, IOException, and IndexOutOfBoundsException, and I'm not seeing any errors in my log files. The headers are the only thing that come through correctly every time, it's always either the message or attachments that go missing. One of the messages is from a mobile phone, which could be a problem, but we've seen it from our company email addresses too. I'll see if I can get a hold of a sample message to post. In the meantime, what kinds of properties can be set? Is there a good place to look for that?

Special characters added in offline approval email

Hi all,
We are on SRM 5.0 SP13 ,ECS
We are facing an issue with the outbound emails sent out from SRM system for offline approval for both shopping carts and PO.
In the main body of the email,some some special characters like ^A are being added at the start of each line.
We have been observing this issue lately after the upgrade of our mail server.
Has anbody come across such an issue in SRM 5.0??Please advise /share your solution/provid some insights.

Problem with special characters when calling web services via ISG

Hi all,
I have a problem when trying to send or retrieve strings containing some special characters via Integrated SOA Gateway.
For example, when I call a PL/SQL function via ISG that returns a string containing curling single and double quote characters, these are not represented by valid XML character entity references. So when trying to open the response XML (returned by ISG) in a browser, I get a parser error...
Has anybody had a similar experience with ISG? How can I resolve that - is it an ISG bug?

How to attach Documents when replying to an Email.

I have found ways to add attachments such as Word Docs when I create new Emails (third party app), but can’t seem to find a way to add an attachment when I am replying to an email sent to me. Is there a way to do this in the native app or does someone know of a third party app capable of this. I have been looking for a while and have found no way to do this, which I consider very basic functionality in an Email client.
The scenario is that I was on the road and a recruiter sent me an email requesting a copy of my resume. I had it in Word format on the phone (third party app), but there was no way to add the Doc to my reply. The third party app only allowed outbound emails. I could not view/reply to an inbound email from the app and the native client did not seem to have a way to add attachments (except an image). This was a nuisance because the only way I could work around this was to create a new Email with the attachment, save it as a Draft and copy everything from his email peace by peace into the Draft before sending it. This also required adding him to my contacts, because I could not copy his address out of the client to paste into the draft.
Note: I also tried copying the contents out of the draft into my reply. This looked at first like it would work but what the recruiter received was a word icon, instead of the actual document I had attached to the draft.

that's impossible, sorry. the best you can do is set up a fancy signature which will also function as a stationery template.

Special characters when editing

In a text area that others will be editing, I've used Ὕ for a non-breaking hyphen in the original source created in Dreamweaver. I'm wondering how an editor will enter a non-breaking hyphen. I use a Mac, but I've read that on a PC it can be entered with Alt+2011. Will that hold through future loads and saves of that page? I've seen what InContext does to the code when a page is edited and saved. Seems it's just rearranged, but I wonder if those special characters will hold.

please select 'Always send URLs as UTF-8'.

Since lion why can I not append a file when replying to an email

I find the new email a real problem. Many times I can't find an email because it is in a group that is now determined by the software.
I use dot be able attach a file when reokying to and email from some one or one that I sent and then someone replied and my reply requires an attachment.
Not possible.
Anybody know how to fix this?

Not sure what the problem is..... When I originalte an email, or reply to one, I have the paperclip icon that I use to attatch files that need to be sent.
Do you not have the paperclip icon? If not, when you initiate a new outgoing email, go to the VIEW menu, and make sure Show Toolbar is checked....

When replying to an email with � in the message it sends blank but when forwarding it changes to and goes threw fine

I dont understand what Thunderbird is doing. This happens when replying to a quote with a ® within the email. Forwarding it keeps it as a ® but just hitting reply it changes to � and sends a blank email.

You see the � (&#xfffd;) when an 8 bit encoding like ISO-8859-1 is selected.<br />
It would normally be sufficient to select Unicode (UTF-8) to see the real character.

How come I have to delete a past message when replying to an email?

New to the Mac world. I am trying to reply to emails on my business email account. When I go to reply, I have to delete prior emails before it will send. I did not have to do this on my PC. Any help or suggestions. As well on the same email account I cant open any links to facebook when I open an email.

How do the prior emails present themselves? Do they popup or is it that when you hit "send" it just sits there until you delete these prior emails? Try to "Rebuild" your "Mailbox" by selecting it then Mailbox>Rebuild

When replying to an email, Mail removes images

When I reply to an email that originally contains inline images, the Mail app removes the images and inserts the image filename in bracketed text. I can't figure out how to stop Mail from deleting photos in replies. I want my replies to retain the inline image from the original message. I searched in many different ways on these forums and the net and could not find this issue addressed. using iOS6 6.1.3. I really hope their is a setting that addresses this.

In Mail.app go to the Edit menu, go down to Attachments, then select Include Original Attachments with Reply.
