Special Features in the People-Centric UI

Hi experts,
I found the following text in help.sap.com
" You can send a selected contact person an e-mail or a fax. An activity, which can be displayed on the tab pages Activities and Interaction History, is created in the background for this transaction. Using the hyperlink you can navigate to the relevant transaction in the application Activities, where the texts of the e-mail as well as attachments to the e-mail are stored."
Can someone guid me to implement this feature? I want see the E-Mails in interaction history.

Hi,
you should try the following:
1. Check your transaction customizing - in the standard system there is the transaction type 0003 - outgoing mail and 0004 - incoming mail.... - check if these transaction types are active...
2. Go to customizing - Main functions - and choose one-to-one e-mail - enter the transaction types.
3. go to the activity application and choose the button - e-mail... now you can write a new e-mail...
4. to use the incoming e-mail functionality you should read the help of the one-to-one e-mail customizing, because there is a realy simple way to work with e-mail integration with outlook! You can also use the transaction CRM_EMAIL_OUTLOOK in the gui...

Hello Irene,
Go ahead and do as per the instructions given in the note. Download the zip file and proceed as instructed. Everything works fine. This note is applicable to the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 and any level of the support package.

Since I disabled features in the people widget, I cannot access gmail

I was so annoyed at the people widget covering up my emails that I disabled all the features IN it instead of the whole widget (which I have since learned how to do) and now I cannot access gmail with firefox. I can with internet explorer though, but prefer to use firefox.

Define Layout of the People-Centric UI (Customizing Tool)

I m woking on CRM 5.0 I want to create a new layout in people centric UI. Let me describe u: I want to add a new field in my BP.Lets say SSN NO. can anybody tells me wheather I can do in STATIC MODEL OR DYNAMIC MODEL. What is the diff b/w this two.
Another tihng if anybody can guide me how to do in complete step thayt will be appriciate. If possible can u send me to my mail id [email protected] that will be best.

Hi Chinmaya,
You have to first check whether your field to be added is available in the structure assigned to that Field group. In this case structure COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_BUS1006. You can check this in SE11.
If available then you have to add that particular field in SPRO transaction for Field Group structure (Application Element-> Field Group -> Field group structure. In your case for Field Group BUP_BUS1006_SEARCH_04. Specify your View, sequence and other field details while doing so.
Then generate the field group in SPRO ( Application Element-> Field Group -> Layout generation) for your view.
Then you can view the field in PCUI.
If the field is not available in structure then it is a complex process.

There used to be a special feature on the previouse versions of Firefox. when you close the firefox with multiple tabs opened it displays an option of saving it or closing without saving. but this version specially the 7th doesnot have that.

specially version 3.6 is good on saving the tabs before closing the firefox. but the latest versions should have had more that just this but it doesnt support the saving tabs or may be i didnt see it there. please if it has this feature let me know.
the other thing is the norton toolbar 2011.7.1.3 is incompatible with firefox 7.

Firefox 4 and later versions save the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows.<br />
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.
Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting is a more reliable way to restore session data.

Customer Prospect in People Centric UI

Hi together,
can somebody explain to me, how to create an iView to create customer prospect in Portal?
I found two OSS-notes where I found the information, that I have to copy the BSP and to add my own view on to the customer (ie. OSS-note 712481).
In the iView "account", of the crm business package, there is called the BSP bsp_frame. In Customizing of the application CRMM_ACCOUNT (which is also defined in the iView) there is the package CRM_BSP_MODEL_IL_BP assigned. In this package I only found only the BSP-Application "crm_prn_acc_ov" - but I think this is not the account BSP.
Have anybody an idea, which BSP-Application I have to copy? Where I'll give in the new iView the information for the new BSP-Application? Which steps I have to do in customizing?

I'm working with CRM 4.0 and Portal-Application. The proplem is, that I wan't to create(!) business partners in the role prospect (BUP002) and additional in role general (00000). SAP delivers only two iViews one to create business partners in role "sold-to" (CRM001) and one to create competitors (CRM005) (see OSS-Note).

Got a problem .I have customised my webclient but cannot execute the people-centric UI.I am currently using a 4.0 server (IDES) and the institution cannot help because they claim that they do don have any access.can any one suggest ways on how i could get access to people- centric.? Does 5.2 server have the access to people-centric UI? if so, can you suggest any provider who can give me access at a fee?

I downloaded a digital copy of a movie and when I went to play the iTunes special features lines of code appeared instead? Can I get a new download of the iTunes special features?

I downloaded a digital copy of the film Hanna and the digital copy was supposed to come with itunes extras (special features) but when I click on it a bunch of code appears as follows in stead of the special features:

I experienced a similar issue with 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.
Several questions:
1. What version of iTunes are you using?
2. Is your iTunes library located on a network drive or a local drive?
3. What error are you getting during the download?
4. Do you have the ability to try and download the extras file on a different computer?

Where is the find/replace-special feature located now?

Where is the find special feature located now?
I used to be able the search for "<space><tab>" and replace with "<tab>"
I can no longer locate that feature and if I try to paste it into the find dialog, it says that no instances are found although I might be looking at several.
I made extensive use of this and "Convert text to table" and "convert table to text."
Ars-Technica reports that many of the "advanced" features have been removed. If that's correct, is Apple trying to relagate it's apps to the "Un-professional" level? Are we going to end up looking elsewhere for the features we had come to rely on? Granted, some of them still didn't work as expected, but the ones that did, I really made a **** of a lot of use of, including, but not limited to mail merge, which I'm told is also gone.
Why can't apple just keep the great, if not at least standard, functionality intact? Give users a preference to hide the "Standardized" features if they are going to confuse them. Note that I'm not even going to say "professional" here because a robust find and replace to me is considered common place. Find and replacejust text is simply dumbed-down and, for me is a bit of an insult, especially after hemming me in to not being able to edit my documents once I open them in iOS and killing iWork on my machine after the update - sure the apps are there, but they crash complaining of a missing library.
On that note, if anyone knows how to fix that so that I can keep working with iWork '09, I'd be relatively happy to be able to work with some of my old work that won't function in the new Pages.
Any help on any of this is greatly appreciated.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Export your Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx and trash/archive Pages 5.
Then rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store.

The "This form is interactive and has special features" error when trying to make annotations.

I create, revise, and manage over 200 forms for a company and when working on creating or revising a form, I have several stakeholders who provide feedback during the development process and most like to use the Adobe Acrobat annotation tools which is helpful for me too.
We have been using Livecycle Designer since the ES version, went to ES2 and now have both ES2 and ES4. I never alter the default settings. Lately, some of the managers have been getting the error which states the forms have special features and you cannot leave sticky notes, highlight or whatever. From reading past post on this, it is because these forms are Dynamic versus Static. However, with our 200 forms, several can have notes added, probably most of them. What would create this difference of static vs dynamic when the settings are touched by me? All of our forms are fillable pdfs using textboxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc.

When you save a PDF out of Designer you have a choice of Adobe Dynamic XML Form (an XFA form) or Adobe Static PDF Form.
XFA forms don't have the same functionality as regular PDFs so a lot of stuff is disabled. But if you are creating dynamic flowed forms and have scripting for showing and hiding, etc. then you need an XFA form.
I looked at both your files and neither of them seem to be doing any dynamic stuff so you should be able to save the one that doesn't allow editing as a Static PDF.
Static files are also created when using background artwork (pdfs, etc.) that you lay fields on top of.

Who else thinks the feature to block people's calls is pointless?

This new feature to block people's calls is pointless. Because all they got to do is switch off their caller ID or put 141 in front and they can still call you! Pointlessssss! Is there any way to block "blocked" or "unknown" calls?

On any handset, landline or mobile, the only way to block calls is to use a function known as blacklisting. That requires the call to connect so the handset can capture the caller ID and use it to compare to a blacklist of disallowed numbers.
True call blocking, where the number simple never connects, can only be done by a telephone service provider at their switches. Anything that a handset does must use the caller ID informtion as other than that informtation, all calls are identitical as far as your handset is concerned.
The carrier's switching equipment, on the other hand, has access to other information that is blocked to the handset (even a blocked caller ID is still know to the carrier's equipment, for example).
Most carriers should already block "unkowns" through a service called anonymous call rejection (e.g. I know AT&T USA does this by default on all smart phone service accounts), either as a default service or an optional one.

When you purchase a movie with iTunes Extras, the primary movie along with the iTunes Extras will download to your iTunes Movie folder. Mouseover the cover art and click the icon on the album to open the main menu to play the movie or view other features.
