Special Fonts in Titles

I am using Premiere Elements 10 on WIndows 7. I have some Hebrew Unicode OpenType Fonts. They do not appear in the font menu, nor can I cut and paste text from another application. How can I use Hebrew characters in titles?
Also, is there a way to use graphic elements in either titles or credits?

When a font, that is properly installed into the OS, does not show in the list, or will not allow for Copy/Paste, it is almost always a fault with the particular font(s).
Adobe programs are VERY sensitive to fonts, and Titler (in both PrE and PrPro) is probably the MOST sensitive. Everything MUST be perfect.
Based on helping a user with certain Chinese fonts, I would suggest looking for the same, or very similar Hebrew fonts from a major foundry. That is what worked for that user.
One consideration with Hebrew & Arabic fonts is their character order. I do not know about Titler, but in some Adobe programs, such as Illustrator, one needs to have the language version of the program, that supports the Hebrew or Arabic character order.
Now, one option would be to use the fonts in a program, that offers full support for the fonts that you have, and then Save_As into a graphic format, such as TIFF. As all graphics in Video must be Rasterized at some point, when you do the Rasterization is not that important. I would look to TIFF, TGA, BMP or PNG, and not JPEG, which compresses, and with text, one does not want any unnecessary compression.

It seems that SharePoint will allow the Title of the discussion board to remain with the special characters, but the actual URL will not be allowed and will strip them from the final URL. SharePoint Manager easily shows this, btw.
So, there are probably many different ways to get what you are looking for, but one way could be to have a Linq query look for all Discussion Boards on a given site and then return the Title and the DefaultViewUrl, which the latter could then be prefixed by
the SPWeb.Url to give you something like "Testing? , /" for the title and http://mysite/Lists/Testing/AllItems.aspx (assuming
that is the actual default view) which you could then use as the final URL for your hyperlink in your web part.
In the code snippet below you can see the Linq query (which I assumed from your post that you need to query to find the Discussion Boards) and a simple DataTable that you could then use to populate a repeater or you just omit the DataTable and
enumerate the results from the query yourself:

Special fonts don't show up in PDFs

I created some free printables for teachers and homeschoolers a while back that use special fonts (wingdings). The fonts are Open Source fonts from DaFont.com. Some of the fonts are not showing up as they should. They come up as plain letters instead of the wingdings. I created the PDFs in InDesign CS5. What can I do to fix this?

Is the fonts embeded when export to pdf?
Also on acrobat check document properties>fonts
If the fonts it's just on small area or line you can convert to outline (select text and from type menu>create outline).

How to use special font in an applet so that text can viewed in any browser

I have created an applet in which I use text with special font I have installed in my PC. The applet is correctely executed with associated html file in my PC. I try to execute the files in another PC in witch the font is not installed. Text with the special font is not correctely viewed.

Both java.awt.Component and java.awt.Graphics have a method setFont(). You can set whatever font you want. However, if the user does not have that particular Font installed, whether the font is auto-installed for the user is browser and browser-setting dependent.

Symbol will not slowly fade in if using special font?

I have a very basic .swf with some text that I've converted
to symbols, and slowly fade in/out with a tween. This works great,
until I was asked to use a special font (Frutiger) So, I have the
font installed now. I created new symbols with the Frutiger font,
but instead of slowly fading in now, the symbol loads very quickly.
I can't figure out how to make a gradual/slow fade in. This problem
only happens when I'm using Frutiger. If I pick Arial or some other
basic font, I can get the symbol to slowly fade in/out. Any
suggestions?
When I watch the movie in Flash, it's fine, and slowly fades
in/out. It's only when I try to view in IE.

Somehow I had it as dynamic text instead of static!

Installing special font in one accessable location

I have used spedific font within a report and now in order to put his report in production, I have to install this special fonts in every machine for the user to print. Is there any better way to install font in one location and be able to access them by any user? Any direction or suggestions would be of great help.

If you are using Reports 9i, you can use new features in PDF output to workaround this issue.
Use Font Subsetting/Font Embedding features that comes with Reports 9i. If you generate PDF file using these features, Reports will embed the font file into the PDF file. Thus the PDF file becomes protable. Wherever you take this PDF file, you do not need to install the font in that machine as Acrobat can always retrieve the font file from within the PDF file itself to render the characters. Of course, you get the same output on the Printer as well.

Custom Control relies on a special font - Include it with distribution?

If you create a control that relies on a special font, does that font need to reside in the built application directory and/or <Windows/Fonts>?
I have a control that looks like a 7-segemt LED, and it relies on a "LCD" font.

For legal reasons, don't just assume you can use any font you wish on the web. Fonts are protected by intellectual property laws in much the same way that software is protected from unlawful copying, modifying or distributing.
1. Obtain a free or open license web font from a Content Distribution Network (CDN) like Adobe TypeKit.com or Google Web Fonts
They host a vast library of fonts licensed for web use on their protected servers so you don't have to.
2. Use CSS @font-face rule and/or scripts to call the fonts into your web pages.
3. Apply font to CSS selectors as you normally do with font-family property.

         font-family: "My Custom Font", "Times New Roman", serif;
         font-size: 55px;}
4. Be sure to thoroughly test your custom web fonts in all browsers & devices with italic, oblique, bold, uppercase, lowercase, large & small sizes. It's important to do a thorough preview to avoid unwanted suprises later.

Cannot edit font on titles

cannot change font on titles, no button in view window, no function in drop down font editor.

I am having the same problem. I was able to do it without issue maybe two weeks ago. I guess I updated something without realizing it. Either way, I can't change the font, size, color, etc. That "show fonts" selection brings up the font dialog but nothing I do in there affects the font on my movie.
Side question: I have a credit screen on another project that I really like, but iMovie won't let me copy it and paste it into another project. The background comes over, but the font stays behind.

I'm trying to use vietnamese characters font to use for text title. Anyone know how to add this type of font? I'm using VPSKEY4.3 program, unable to get it to work on PE8.

Welcome to the forum.
As Steve say, Installing the font in the system should work fine. Be aware, however, that different foundries produce different fonts. Adobe programs work best with OTF's (Open Type Fonts), and then with PS fonts (Postscript), but also work with many TTF's (TrueType fonts). The key is "many," as some just do not work in Adobe products. It can depend greatly on how well those fonts are formed.
Especially with some Arabic and Asian fonts, one might have to try the products from several different foundries, to get them to work correctly, and display properly. A Photoshop user and I went through about four foundries' products to find a special Korean font for her use. If the version that you have does not work, do not hesitate to try that font (or very similar) from another source.

The 'shadowed' look is there for a reason. That is how movie fonts always look.
Perhaps you can find a plugin that does not use the shadows?

Can't change the font on titles?

I know the usual way to change the fonts on movie titles is to click the title in the Project window, and then a "Show Fonts" button appears in the upper left of the viewer. I have actually done this before, but now when I click a title, that button does not appear. Why doesn't it appear now?
Does it depend on the type of title I am using? I'm using Lens Flare and the text is appearing over myself when I'm talking to my iSight camera. Does it have to have it's own background, or are there any other parameters that I'm missing here?

Certain titles cannot be altered. These include the fancy titles that use quartz composer routines. The simple titles like lower third will let you change fonts.
