  • Special xml viewer java 6

    Dear all,
I want to create a special xml viewer in java 6 and I was wondering if there are already some things available in Java 6.
I just want to display the xml in a panel with indents and colouring like you would open it in internet explorer.
The only difference is that when I click on a tag, it would display the content of this tag in another Panel.
So I have basically 2 problems: - display a coloured xml with indents
    - make the tags clickable so every click picks up it's content so it can be displayed
I watched the api but it is very confusing which package to choose.
    Thanks

Here's an example that uses JTree, which is the easy way out: http://www.javalobby.org/java/forums/t19666.html
Otherwise welcome to styled documents and the javax.swing.text package.

  • Special Characters viewing in PC Ultraedit and not in MAC Textwrangler

    Hello everybody,
I had a difficulty in viewing special characters in PC Ultraedit vs MAC Textwranger in a InDesign tagged text file.
When the open the InDesign tagged file in PC Ultraedit, all special characters are viewing in a correct format. But the same tagged text file open in MAC Textwranger, this special characters are in a form of junk characters.
Please anybody know whats the issue. If you have answers for this issue, please share with me. Its very helpful for us.
Below screenshots explains the exact problem:

    Thanks for any helps!

You can see the encoding is already off in your Tagged Text data file, so the error lies in the program you used to do that conversion.

  • Web Viewer stettings

    Hi guys !
I'm working on adobe web viewer and I wanted to know if I can change its size.
I use a 768x1024 iPad rendition and when it display on a computer screen it's too big and I need to scroll down to see the bottom of viewer.
Can I change viewer size in source code or do I need to publish a new rendition with a lower size.
    Regards,
    Franck Soulier
    Edit : 2 screens
    What I have :
    What I need :
I zoom out at 75% in my browser to get my last sreenshot

Thanks for that quick answer !
I'll make a special web viewer rendition.
But I have a new question about renditions.
Is there a way to avoid all those copy/past for each article's descriptions, title, etc.
Every month I'll make 4 renditions (iPad, iPad retina, Android, and now web viewer). 3 fields (heading, title and descriptions) to fill for each articles (about 50 per folio) in folio producer.
That means 150 copy/past per rendition, 150 x 4 ! 600 ! And I don't count all the 200 images I need to upload for feature summary. It's really take a very long time each month...
Is there a way to fill all those descriptions once and for all ? Perhaps in indesign file...

  • Snow Leopard Symbol font doesn't always work in MS Office

I have to share files between MS Office 2011 for Mac and MS Office 2010 for Windows. As a mathematician, I use the Symbol font on my Mac frequently, but when I open those files in Windows, different characters have been substituted for the characters I typed.  Can I change something I'm doing on the Mac side to have the characters display correctly on my PC, or do I need to approach the problem from the Windows side?  Why isn't the Symbol font universally compatible?  Is there another variation in the Symbol font family that would be more compatible?

You may be using the legacy symbol character encoding, which is not a good idea any more, as most apps have moved to Unicode.  Instead of using the Symbol font, make your characters by going to the Character Viewer (Edit > Special Characters), view = Roman, Tab = By Category, Category = Math, Digits, Greek
PS Depending on what app you are working in, you might want to use an Equation Editor rather than just typing symbols directly:

  • Bulleted lists - how can I use a bullet that I want

Having made the effort to switch to Pages, I'm beginning to find a number of features that make me long Word!
Some of the Pages interface design feels very rough -- like they just gave up before the end. Such an example of this is the relatively simple (in Word) task of making your own text bullet using a dingbat or symbol. This seems utterly impossible in Pages '09! I have spent over an hour struggling to get Pages to accept my preferred bullet. However, it refuses to allow any attempts I make change the bullet. It seems stuck in some font that is not correct for the bullet I want. But the bullet does not 'inherit' the font face attributes when you paste in your desired one.
I would like some details instructions (preferably from Apple -- chance would be a fine thing!) on how to select and enter my desired Wingdings character as a bullet.
As a last resort, I created a list in the style I wanted in Word (NOTE: a mere four minute job, Apple). I then tried to open the resulting .DOC file into Pages'09. But I guess it detected that I was attempting to circumvent its vice like control on MY lists, and so failed to open the document.
Any help with this matter would be gratefully received.
    A.

    Hi Andrew
Seems like you have noticed that Pages is not Word!
    Ah, change can be hard.
First starting with the impossible (text bullet):
    +Inspector > Text > List > Bullets and Numbering > Text Bullets/Image Bullets/Custom Image…+
*Text Bullets* lets you choose any Unicode character as your bullet, either selecting from the short list offered or by simply pasting in the character you want.
You can find the standard Unicode dingbats in:
    +Menu > Edit > Special Characters > View: All Characters > Symbols+
Specialist fonts are here but will probably not display correctly if they are not Unicode.
+Menu > Edit > Special Characters > View: PiFonts > PiFonts > Font: If you have WebDings it will be here+
*Image Bullets* does exactly what it says taking any of the supplied images as bullets and scaling them accordingly.
*Custom Image…* lets you browse to find an image from your drive and use that scaled appropriately as a bullet.
You may have had problems using WingDings because it is not to my knowledge a Unicode font and its glyphs are arbitrarily located within the font according to older encodings.
You can get around this by making a text box typing your WingDings dingbat into it and then copying the box and going to the Preview application where by going command N you create a new .pdf file containing your textbox.
Trim the .pdf using the crop tool and save the .pdf which is now a graphic file and can be used with CustomImage… as a bullet.
It is best to make sure your graphic is tightly cropped to just the image itself and if it is too difficult in Preview, it is better done in a drawing program.
*Creating a list style in Pages* is as simple as creating an example of what you want then whilst selected adding it to your Styles in the Style Drawer:
+Menu > View > Show Style Drawer > click on the little down pointing triangle next to the List styles > Create New List Style from Selection+
I don't know what format you saved your word document in so can't comment on why or how it didn't open. Pages doesn't open Word templates for a start, there could be other reasons.
Now that did not come from Apple that came from your fellow users. As you may have noticed entering the forums, Apple puts up the site but does not frequent it.

  • Workarounds for lack of sub-folder support

I'm trying to find a workaround for the lack of sub-folder support for photos. For example, are there any apps that synchronise my photos with the original folder structure from my PC? I've spent quite a lot of time searching, but can't find the right solution.

    Hi all. Hope this helps...
There is NO sub-folder (two or more folder levels) support in OS3x and OS4x until today. Hope this will change in near future, however that also means foregoing smoothness operation of the iDevice due to how the internal memory works inside (so far, thousands of photos can be viewed without a lag because how fast the iDevice can find the memory location of each file inside its big memory, and creating sub-folders will take great amount of time for the processor to find, put-together, and present the many photos to screen).
There are other applications that support photos with sub-folders (folders inside folders inside folders inside folders inside folders and so on), however these are not specialized photo viewing app and will not show picture thumbnails but file listing instead:
    - GoodReader
    - OPlayer
Two good photo and video viewing apps with privacy security; Photo Safe and Video Safe, are also available, which supports high-definition without reducing photo quality as in original iDevice, BUT does not support sub-folders (only one level folders/albums).
I was hoping iOS4 had the Sub-folders feature for its iPhoto... doesn't have to be three-folder levels, but just additional one level sub-folders would be great.
    Cheers!

  • Excel 2013 - Locked file when trying to save

After a user opens an excel file from a personal network share (EMC/ISILON storage) and make changes to the file, the user get a FILE LOCKED BY <USER> (Same user that is currently editing the file).
We have also had issues where a user goes to open a file and it says it is currently in use by <USER> same user trying to open the file.
    Couple of notes of interest:
These files are on personal network shares, only the 1 user has access to the files
We have had the user completely reboot their machine when they try to open a file and get the file is locked message - Same message
Does not happen with any other Office 2013 application
Are there any special "quick View" features in Excel 2013 or Windows 7 that may be locking the file?  I have seen reference to this in older versions of Windows, but nothing for Windows 7.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi TE2011,

  • Skipping mapping execution in process flow

I have a process flow that calls multiple mappings. Based on some condition I want a mapping not to execute, E.g. when rerunning the process flow in case of failure. Currently I keep track of mapping execution and store the status in a control table. When a mapping has completed, it updates the status as completed. When I need to rerun, in the SQL of the tables join in the mapping, I have a where clause that returns 0 rows (mapping_completed = N) . So mapping is excuted but no rows added/updated.
The flip side of the approach is when using a complex join specially using views, the SQL takes a long time to run only to return 0 rows. So logic is okay but I want to save time by avoiding the execution of the mapping it self.
I would like to know how others are implementing this scenario.
    Regards
    Sandeep

Can you not have two different mappings one for running it first time and one which you can run on failure...
In your process flow you can have a param i.e 'F for failure and 'I' for intial and based on this condition you can decide which mapping to invoke and hte path to be followed.

  • Asia/Pacific characters are replaced by the pound sign ("#")

Having a problem sending e-mails and faxes from SAP (EH&S) that contain Asia/Pacific fonts.  The e-mails look good in SAP but in Outlook the Asia/Pacific characters are replaced by the pound sign ("#").

System Preferences > Keyboard > Text. Click the + symbol to add a keyboard shortcut. Click in the left empty Replace text window and place GBP there. Tab, and enter option+# (£) in the With text input area. Click outside of this row to set the contents. Exit System Preferences.
In the application where you wish to have this substitution performed for you, in the Edit menu > Substitutions submenu, select Text Replacement. Then when you type GBP, a floating panel will open below GBP with the pound sterling symbol — just press the spacebar.
Another approach is to use the special character viewer from the bottom of the Edit menu. If ISO-8859-1 is not one of your categories, use the gear icon in the top left to add it. Click on the £ symbol, and in the enlarged view on the right, click on the Add to Favorites. In the future, when you want to add the pound sterling symbol, launch this character viewer, click on Favorites at the top of the category column, and then double-click the £ symbol to have it inserted at the current pointer location in your document. Not as efficient as typing GBP.

  • SSF configuration for external Smartcard Readers

    Hello colleagues,
I 'm working at a customer who is implementing a SAP project (R/3 4.6C SR2), in which is involved the goverment.
The goverment is forcing to the customer to implement digital signature in some steps of his business process, one of this steps is running on SAP R/3 system. The digital signature will be used with digital signature in order to "package" some critical data like "billing amount", for instance.
The goverment is imposing the smartcard encryption solution, that is hardware encryption.
I have been looking for information about it, so I understood the following:
1._ Some smartcards vendors are compliance with SAP.
2._ I need to install in the server running SAP the smartcard and the smartreader in order to manipulate and to access the encryption functionality.
3._  The smartcard is configured in SAP by transaction SSFA and other reports.
4._  The encryption functionality is accessed by SSF function group.
I downloaded the documents "SSF user guide", "security quick guide: digital signature" and "digital signature in FI".
I've found into a paper called "Digital Signatures
in SAP Applications - Web App.Server 6.40" the following:
1.3.1. SSF for the ABAP Stack
The SSF Library for the ABAP Stack is used in applications that are written in ABAP. It supports the functions for creating and verifying digital signatures (PKCS#7), and functions for encrypting and decrypting documents.
SSF requires an external security product to provide these functions. The SAP Security Library (SAPSECULIB) is delivered with the SAP system as the default product. However, the SAP Security Library only supports digital signatures without cryptographic hardware (SmartCards, SmartTokens, Cryptoboards). Instead of the SAPSECULIB, customers can also use the SAPCRYPTOLIB, which can be downloaded from the SAP Service Marketplace. The SAPSECULIB supports the DSA (Digital Signature Algorithm) algorithm, and the SAPCRYPTOLIB supports both the DSA and the RSA algorithms. The algorithm that you must use in your signature process depends on the CA that issues the certificate. Most CAs use the RSA algorithm. Note that country-specific export guidelines apply in the case of the SAPCRYPTOLIB. For more information, see SAP Note 397175.
For support for encrypting and decrypting documents, and for generating digital signatures using cryptographic hardware, an external security products from our partners is required. These security products use SAP’s SSF interface and are certified for this by SAP. For a list of the certified products, see the SAP Service Marketplace under http://service.sap.com/securitypartners, and then choose the link “Partner for Secure Store and Forward, digital signatures“ (SSF).
The SSF Library for the ABAP stack is available as of SAP Basis 4.0.
I don't undertand how is the relationship between SAPCRYPTOLIB and the SmartReader Card established/configured.
We think about the "Government of Chile" will deliver the customer a SmartCard Reader from Schlumberger (Cryptoflex 16K Card).
Should be great if you can provide me with any useful information in order to understand how to implement this configuration.
    Best regards, Carlos

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I have more questions:
As I mentioned before, the Government office will provide a SmartCard reader to the customer: it's "Cryptoflex 16K card from Schlumberger". You can take a look to its features here:
    http://www.cryptoflex.com/Products/Cryptoflex_Features/cryptoflex_features.html#
There, you can see the following:
    Supported Applications and Platforms
    Integrates with PC/SC
    Integrates with PKSC#11   >>> (*)
    Entrust Ready
Plug & Play with Windows 2000 and Windows XP
    Axalto SDK
In the document about Digital Signatures "DigSig_Netweaver_BestPractices_en.doc", you can see the following:
    1.2.1 PKCS#7
PKCS#7 stands for Public-Key Cryptography Standard # 7. The PKCS standards are specifications that were developed by RSA Security for secure information exchange using the Internet. PKCS#7 is currently a format established in the market. It describes a wrapper format, meaning that the output format does not correspond to the input format. If, for example, a PKCS#7 signature is attached to a PDF document, the document is then in PKCS#7 format. This format is a binary format, which in turn means that direct display is not very good, and is not suitable for a user. A special tool (viewer) must therefore be used for display. Unfortunately, usable PKCS#7 viewers are not currently available on the market. This format is very suitable for purely automatic processing (without a display component for the user).
SAP offers the PKCS#7 signature on the ABAP platform (as of SAP Basis 4.0B) and on the Java platform (as of SAP Web AS 6.30).
    So here are my questions:
    1) From above, can you tell me if I'm wrong, or this SmartCard ("Cryptoflex 16K card from Schlumberger") is incompatible with SAP Digital Signature implementation (the Smartcard uses PKCS#11 -see (*) above- and SAP uses PKCS#7)?
    2) I didn't find to Schlumberger as a certified partner into the SAP link for Certified Partners for Digital Signatures:
    http://www50.sap.com/softwarepartnerdir/products/certify/prod_def.asp?DescID=259&ProdDesc=Digital%20Signatures%2C%20Encryption%20and%20SSF
Does it mean that this partner can't provide SSF compatibility?
    3) Can you provide me any kind of documentation in order to understand what are the whole configurations that need to be done from the "basis" side (if questions 1 and 2 are false) in order to configure this arquitecture?
    4) Can you explain a little bit how the SAPCRYPTOLIB is used in this context? I mean, should we need it in order to encrypt/decrypt digital signatures/envelopes?
    Best Regards, Carlos

  • Sync reading location pdf file on ipad and mac

Is there anyway to keep the reading location sync'd between an ipad and a mac with a pdf file?
I have the pdf file in the ibook library that is sync'd between my ipad and mac, however, my
reading location doesn't seem to be updated.

Not sure what a "Preview File" is ... but I will assume you mean a PDF file.
First of all, Apple products are very good at reading PDF files.  In general, you don't need any special PDF viewer, as these are built in.
The place I would store PDF documents is in the iBooks reader.  iBooks is a free app available in the App Store.  It is where you would keep books you purchase in the App Store.  Those books are stored in iTunes on your computer.  You can store your PDFs there too.
To find PDFs, open iBooks, click on the "Books" button and then select PDFs.

  • How to send task content as email?

    Hi all,
I have task list, need to send task content as email to a person like:
    How to achieve this?

    Hello,
create a workflow with SharePoint Designer that sends an email when an item is created.
Or edit the list form with InfoPath and create a special email view. Include all the fields you want to send in the email. Then create a data connection to submit to email and configure who it is sent to and what the subject line is based on the form values.
Use a button to submit the form and add a rule to submit the form data, then switch to the email view, submit to the email connection and then close the form.
This way, the recipient will see the exact form you defined in InfoPath  in the email view.

  • Elements 10 and 11 and Windows 7

There have been a lot of questions regarding the launching of Elements 10 or 11 organizer in Windows 7 enviroment. For many users it simply won't launch. Myself, I've given up Elements 11. Neither the Welcome screen or direct launch of the Organizer as administrator works. So there must be something fundamentally wrong in the program. Thanks a lot to all of you who try to help. But why can't the manufactor of Adobe Elements solve these problems? Do they ignore them? If the programs run for the majority of users then they seem to be happy and do not mention launching problems at all in their help files. Can anybody try to make Adobe wake up? Øivind
