Special Stock E - Consumption, accounts determination

Experts,
I'm starting to use special stock 'E' to assign stocks (but keeping it in stock) in a storage location to a sales order, as I perform movement 413 or even 561 E. The stock is completely consumed in a cost account, but it still is maintained in quantity. I wanted to maintain it in a stock account, eventually using credit and debit in the same account.
I have this implemented in one project but in my current one I can't do this... is it because on the first case I use internal orders in sales orders and in the second case I use cost centre.
Points waiting.
Cheers.

Hi,
Is it not true that the batch determination can not be done for special stock..
Therefore check the settings of ur batch determination once again, specially batch creation to movements type of the special stock.

  • 'Missing consumption account determination' Error -Automatic PR

    Hi Colleagues
I hope someone can shed some light on this issue for me.
I have configured a specific process for auto PR, i.e. when we create a SO and enter the item qty, a "create purchase requisition" appears (ME51).
I always get an error message re.: missing consumption account determination. I have checked  the settings in OBYC and everything looks allright.
In the transaction ME51 itself, the same error occurs but a pop up screen appears with the option of entering a G/L account. However, while creating the SO it does not behave in the same way.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Stock in transit - account determination

    Hello
We have weird transactions in stock in transit : AR Credit memos and returns are impacting the stock in transit.
Can anyone explain why ??? How does the stock in transit account function naturally ??
    Thanks
    Fabrice

    Suda
    There is an account determination.
    Actually we didn't know that
    - when you receive a return from customers without the original delivery (as can happen after migration or when having contract support for 10 years in the past), or receiving a credit memo from an invoice that did not have a delivery as base document,
    - you impact stock in transit and not finished goods. This is wrong in stock.

  • MM Account determination with valuated/non valuated sales order stock!

    Hi All,
I have been trying to set up MM account determination in our project for sales order assigned POs.What I have observed is that when I have a PO with sales order assignment and according to requirement class (coming through reqt type) in sales order it is valuated sales order stock then in the PO we get the stock account determined through BSX key. But when it is non valuated sales order stock we get a different account assigned through GBB-VKA key. In both the cases the account assignment category in the PO is "E".
Can someone please explain what is the connection between valuated/non valuated sales order stock and MM account determination and if what is happening is right from account determination point of view?
    Regards,
    V S

    These are two different postings:
    BSX: stock posting
GBB: Offsetting entry for stock posting
    Stock posting (BSX)
This transaction is used for all postings to stock accounts. Such
    postings are effected, for example:
    -   In inventory management in the case of goods receipts to own
stock and goods issues from own stock
    -   In invoice verification, if price differences occur in
connection with incoming invoices for materials valuated at
moving average price and there is adequate stock coverage
    -   In order settlement, if the order is assigned to a material with
moving average price and the actual costs at the time of
settlement vary from the actual costs at the time of goods
        receipt
Offsetting entry for stock posting (GBB)
Offsetting entries for stock postings are used in Inventory
Management. They are dependent on the account grouping to which each
movement type is assigned. The following account groupings are
    defined in the standard system:
    -   VKA:     for sales order account assignment
(for example, for individual purchase order)

  • Account determinations

    Dear SAP MM experts,
I require the Transaction Key relevance for the Account posting:
Such as We have GBB and WRX entry for GR and MIRO
What are the transactions used and when ........
    regards,
    A S

    Hi,
Transaction keys facilitates in account postings.
For Ex. WRX is a transaction key for GR/IR clearing account. This will be triggered at the time of GR and IR. At the time of GR you will have credit entry in the G/L account maintained for WRX account key and this amount will be knocked off with a Debit Entry at the time of Invoice for that GR.
The account keys will be triggered based on the Movement Type, Quantity & Value Updation, Special Stock indicator, Consumption Posting etcs., Each and every transaction we do will fall with certain key combination of these and hence picks the relevant Transaction/ Event Key.
Similarly GBB is used for offsetting entry for Goods Issue transactions. You will find account modifiers also for GBB for fine tuning the account determination. When a goods issue is made the Material G/L will be credited and there will be debit entry in the G/L maintained for corresponding account modifier of GBB.
For example Goods issue can be made for Quality Inspection / Scrapping / Sales etcs. So accordingly the account modifier will be picked up based on the transaction and the G/L will be derived from the account modifier of the Transaction Event Key GBB.

  • Third Party Order - Not possible to determine a consumption account

    Hi All,
I know there are a number of threads on this subject but the answer for me doesn't seem to be here.
The scenario I am trying to configure is around buying and selling software licenses using a Third Party Sales Order process (Item Cat TAS).
My material is set up as a DIEN with and Account Assignment Group of BANS and a Valuation Class of 3200 (service). I'm assuming that as the license key is a notional concept rather than a physical stocked item as such - a service is the more appropriate material type but maybe I'm wrong?
I have entered two entries using transaction OBYC (Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Accounts) for Transaction Key GBB:
    i) General Modification = blank
    ii) General Modification = 'AUF'
... but this made no difference.
Can anyone advise how to resolve this issue please?
As an aside I am not sure how you ever know what entries are required in this table - how can you tell what General Modification values are relevant to any given scenario?

Hi Raja - yes this was useful but I am still having difficulties.
OK - So I can see from your notes that the Account Modifier that I was looking for was VAX associated with the Account Assigment Group of 'X' - good so I fixed the  OBYC - GBB table to ensure I has a VAX - 3200 entry for consumption and it worked - great! BUT ...
I then wanted to get it so that my PO would create automatically so I:
    i) Set the Auto PO on the Item Category
ii) Set the ALE paramenters asociated with the Sales Org definition
iii) Set the Auto PO on the Vendor Master
    but that didn't work
I wanted to set the AUTO PO on the material master but as my MM was a DIEN this option was not available to me so I created another material that was NLAG (non-stocked) and tried again - this time I marked the Auto PO on material as well but it still didn't work because I am now geti8ng the message "Not possible to determine a consumption account" - Aaaarrrggghhhhh!!!
Everything else remains unchanged - BANS - CS etc.
    Any ideas?

  • PO against valuated sales order stock posting to consumption account

    Hi All,
I am creating a PO with account assignment against valuated sales order stock. However the posting happens to consumption account (GBB) instead of the stock account (BSX). The following settings exist
    1. The material type is both quantity and value update
    2. The account assignment category used in PO is E which has special stock = E, account modifier = VKA and consumption posting = E
    3. The requirement class (in SD) has account assignment = E and valuation = M (even tried with A)
    4. The valuation class for valuated SO stock has been maintained in the accounting view
However the system picks up the account corresponding to GBB-VKA and not BSX. Can anyone point out any setting that may be mising here.
    Regards,
    Ketan

    Hi,
Maintain the consumption posting as blank against the account assignment used in PO in OME9 and test the scenario again.

  • Goods mvt with special stock updated in consumption

    Hi,
I understand that the goods mvt with special stock indicator such as Sales order stock and Project stock won't updae the total consumption in MD04 or Consumption in MMR, but can anyone kindly explain me the reason?
    Thanks.
    Nadali

On the SD side, the special stock indicator on a delivery line item is copied from the sales order line item.
And the special stock indicator on the sales order line item is determined from the item category.
If you are referring to the MM side of things, (and based on your description of the use of the 'replenishment deliveries you might be), then there probably are corresponding configuration on the MM side of things.

  • T-code for getting consumptions / usage on special stock Q materials?

    Hi,
I am facing an issue: special stock Q is not included in all T-codes that I know for getting the consumptions / usage over a period.
--> MC.9, MCBE etc.. are all not showing any results for those kind of materials.
I found the explanation: it's depending on special stock valuation indicator (Blank, A or M), and only A permits to see the consumptions with MCxx T-codes, which is not the one used in the plant I'm currently working in (M)
Since this valuation indicator is a FICO defined parameter, I cannot make it changed to be able to check those materials usage.
Anyone has a tip or know a way to get usage on special stock Q materials?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Sanil Bhandari,
    Thanks for trying to help.
Unfortunately MMBE is a snapshot of stock level and reservations by storage location on a single material, and does not display the consumption over a predefined period.
I am still looking for any solution that works with special stock Q materials.

  • Account determination for project stock delivery (for movement type 281Q)

    Hello
We are trying to carry out delivery for project stock (CNS0) using  movement type 281Q.
We notice that there is no account modifier availalbe for this scenario resulting in error during PGI. However, we can do PGI after changing the config of account determination without account modifier.
Since working without an account modifier is not acceptable for various business reasons, we must have an account modifier defined. We are wondering why SAP has not provided a standard solution for dealing with project stock delivery.
Can any one please suggest how to deal this situation.
    Thanks and warm regards,
    Jagadeeesh

We have business requirement as stated below:
We need to procure materials for specific Projects but also want to track the stock for the Project by value in the invnetory. In other words, the encumbrance of the procurement needs to take place against the Project but we want to be able to take it into inventory as a valuated stock and issue to the WBS whenever it is required.
Is this possible?  What we know is that as soon as we give reference of the WBS for the Procurement, it gets expensed to the Project and we cannot value manage in inventory.
The reason for this requirement is there is a long time between when the item is procured and when it is used for the project. Till such time we have to track the Project items in the inventory as any other stock but its still tagged for the project and encumbrance would need to have happened
Any ideas on how to deal with this will be appreciated
    Thanks

    HI Raja,
Hope you can make use of the accout modification VKA in the account assign category in
    t.code - OME9.
For the same accout modification you can configure the
Valuation modif/General modification/Valuation class combination for your
    debit and credit GL accounts.
This is specific for the Transaction GBB under chart of accounts - INT.
    Cheers
    Arun.

  • Account Determination with Sales Order Stock

    Hi, Guys
Does anybody know how (and WHY) SAP makes (or doesn't make) account determination of material movements from or to Sales Order Stock???
I have found that, for example, an Accounting Document is generated when transferring to or from Customer Stock (411E and 413 mvt) and that no Accounting Document is generated when processing GI from Customer Stock (601E mvt) or GR against Production Order (101E to Customer Stock)....
There are also NO Accounting Documents when inventory differences occur (701E or 702E)...
It's pretty strange I think....Sure there is some logic  put into the process of managing Sales Order Stock but I don't get it...
Of course, reward points are guaranteed for helpful answers!

Automatic Accounet determination is done in MM. In this for some of the movement types there is no need to enter the G/L account every time.
All are customized in  Automatic Account determination.(AAA)
Go to SE16 enter the Table name T156 and press F4 you can see the movement types where G/L account are customized in  (AAA)
you can check the movement types

  • G/L Account Determination - Variance - Expense and Stock Account

    Hi All,
Under G/L Account Determination -> Purchasing tab -> General tab the last account is called "Expense and Stock Account", in some versions the same is called "Variance Account - Expense and Stock Account". In the help file and on the SAP Portal it is explained to be used as:
"Define a variance G/L account for clearing journal entries created by A/P credit memos that were based on A/P invoices or created by goods return that were based on goods receipt POs, in which the freight charges or the price were changed."
I'm trying to test this but recreating the scenarios described above the account will not be used. Can anyone help me what am I missing?
    Thanks and regards,
    Nat

    Hi ShriX,
I understand but my problem is when I'm testing these scenarios, in my test system the account is not used at all. For example I have an AP Invoice and when I turn it to an AP Credit Memo I change the price of the item. I would expect a posting to this account as it is specified in the help file, but in my case it doesn't happen. Do you know why?
    Thanks and regards,
