Special stock indicator in Production Order Component overview

Hi  Team,
I have one finished product , for which i have created BOM . It has only one component in it .
Now i am creating a Sales order , based on the definition and requirement set , system is creating a production order in background.
When i go to production order and see components overview screen , there is one field special stock . This is getting filled with '1'  - Individual customer stock always.
Even though we have stock in storage location , it is expecting components to be in Sales order stock .
If i create a stand alone production order for same materials , there is no special stock indicator set in components .
Can any body let me know how is this special stock field getting populated and what settings has to be reviewed in order to supress the same.
Thanks,
sudhakar

Sudhakar,
Check the MRP parameter 'Individual/Coll' in MRP4 view for the components. This should be set as 2 for collective planning. If this flag is left blank then planning will be based on the parent material (If the parent material is planned for special stock then the components will also be planned for special stock)
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Jaison

  • Special stock indicator in production order

    Hi,
We have a new business scenario from sales department.
For example, A is a MTO item, it has component B & C. Now there is a sales order for A come in, and system create a production order, but there is no enough stock for B. They want to:
1, Allocate C to the production order and other production order or sales order can not take it away via V_V2 or MRP run.
    2. Create another seperate purchase order for B and want this purchase order also allocate to this production order.
    3. They do not want to use WIP stock because it is difficult to display WIP stock in SAP you know.
I trying to use the special stock indicator "E" for components in production order, and I move C to custom stock via 412 E with no issue.
But when I create a purchase order for B with account assignment "F",  it goes to normal stock in MD04. After I post GR for the purchase order, the quantity goes to production order directly, does not show in MD04 and did not reduce the requirement quantity.
If I create a purchase order for B with account assignment "E", it gives an error message "Sales document item is not defined for the transaction. I tried to change the requirement type from "KMFA" to "KE" in the sales order for A, and the production order disappeared, it is not accepted.
How should I define and configure the process?
    Thank you so much.
    Albert

    Hi Albert
I suggest you to take a look on the setting "individuall/collective" on the tab MRP4 of the material master.
For both components, you should set the value 1 and system will always plan the components under the sales order special stock.

  • Batch Determination in Production Order Component Overview Screen on the basis of FIFO, Thickness, Grade, width etc.

I am facing a difficult scenario. Pl. help me out. In my Business Process I am assigning Batches in Production Order Component Overview Screen. Here I am assigning relevant batches to BOM Components manually, My Management want SAP to suggest batches automatically on FIFO basis, thickness, grade, width & first batches should automatically assign to Production order.  Can you pl. tell me how to configure this scenario.
Or can I pull stock overview screen at Production Order Component screen to assign relevant batch to BOM Components
Once batches assigned in Production Order component screen cannot be changed. It can be changes by specific persons only.

    Hi,
Automatic Batch Determination for production order components is possible by configuration.
You can also refer below discussions to map your scenario.

  • Production Order Component Overview

    Hi All ,
Could you please guide to understand the following will be grateful.
In the production order component overview screen-MENU BAR is having following list
Order, Functions, Edit, Goto, u201CCOMPONENTu201D, Environment, System, Help.
In the above, if you left click the COMPONENT option there will be drill down option, in that there you have u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D
u2022 What is the functionality of this option (u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D) ?
u2022 If I select the BOM component in the component overview and I left click the COMPONENT option in the menu bar and select the u201CCharacteristic Value Assignmentu201D what will happenu2026.
    Thanks in Advance....

    Hi ,
This is for the Component selection according to the Characteristic Value it will take you to Class to which Characteristics are
assigned , say if your component selection based on the characteristics value say if your Hardness of the Raw material is
99% based on that your Yield would vary for the Finished Product .
You have created MIC 's with Hardness with characteristic value 95% , 96% , 97% and 98% etc....
Your Quality lab has given test value for this component as 99% so your component selection will be this characteristic value
    as master data .
Assign Characterisctics to Class , Assign class to class type 023 / 022

  • Special stock Indicator in process order

    Hi Guys,
I am using Configurable material via BOM dependency. During sales order pop-up and selection are coming well. I have selected Component A1, B2, C2 with characteristic value. Now B2 and C2 have procurement type "F" and for A1 procurement type was X. After MRP run, saw in the planned order as 'special stock type E" for A1 material and in process order it is not taking plant stock. Instead it is asking for sales order stock and componet view shows Account assignment as "M" and special stock indicator as "Individual customer stock". Now I changed the procurement type as "F" and delete re-create MRP/ BOM re-run MRP........still it is not picking up plant stock in availability, instead now asking for purchase requisition. For B2 and C2, not asking for ourchase requisition as there is plant stock. . Why it is happening and how to solve it?
    Thanks
    Krish

Solved it......It was availability check issue.

  • Adding new column in production order component overview

    Hi Experts,
Please let me know any enhancement or badi available to add a new column to production order component list. There is a business requirement to display the fixed bin in component list.

  • Production Order - Component Overview - Storage location

    Hi,
While i create Production orders, i do not see the storage locations for the components, listed in the component overview screen. I have maintained storage location & storage bins through MMSC transaction.
Am i missing any config setting, so that the storage location will be visible in the Production Order.
    regards,
    K.Kumar.

    Hi
You have to maintain the production storage location in the Material master (or) in BOM.
In Material master MRP2 View, if you maintain the production storage location it is applicable where ever you use that material.
In BOM-->Select the component >Go to item details> select the "Status/Lng text tab"--> here you can maintain the Production storage location. If you maintain here it is specific to this BOM only.
    Please check and revert.

  • Storage Location in Production Order Component Overview

    Hi All,
When creating a Production Order using CO0, the Component Overview will list out the corresponding BOM for the Finished Good.  We have defined a number of plants and storage locations.  I see here that the plant and storage location is automatically determined in the components overview.  I would like to set defaults for these, may I ask where in SPRO is this configured?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello
Storage location in production order is pre-setting in bom component level/and MPR2 view,
First priority is Bom Component level, i will transfer Production order only this BOM if maintianed here.
second priorty is Material master date in MRP2 view, it will effected all components and all bom which used this components.

  • Special stock indicator for components

    Hi,
For a configarable material a sales order is created which in turn creates a production order. Now in this production order for some materials i find that in component overview of production order indicator SP is 1 (Individual customer stock). This happens only in some orders for this material. i have checked the below points
    1) Individual collective indicator in material master MRP 4 view for this component is 2.
    2) Stock for the component is more that 1000 pieces in unrestricted use which is more than the orders for this material..
    3) Planning strategy for this material is 40.
    4) Availability check considers the safety stock.
    5) BOM Explosion type in customising is not considered in item overview of this component in the BOM.
The issue raised by the customer is that as it comes as a special stock so a purchase order has to be created for this material and till then it is showed in shortage by availability check.
    Regards
    Sameer.

    Hi,
There is no change in the material master sinnce last year. The customer is removing the special stock indicator from production order manually, but he wants to know why this is happening.
Also checked the purchase requisitions created for this component and they have account assignment M and are pegged directly to the sales order.
    Best Regards

  • Special stock indicator for component in process order

    Hi,
There is a field in process order where we can maintain special stock indicator for component.
In this filed if we define consignment stock, then the vendor field becomes activated, where the vendor can be given.
Now we want to maintain the data as a master data so that whenever process order is created the sp stock indicator as well as vendor are populated for that particular component.
Q - where to define this master data. I could not see such fields in BOM?
    regards,
    Mohit

    Hi Sunderesan,
Thaks for responding. Even by doing this system does not propose special stock indicator as '3' in process order & even vendor is not proposed.
My requirement is that system should propose '3' in special stock indicator in process order.
    Request to look into this.
    regards,
    Mohit

  • Backflush indicator in production order

I have set backflush indicator in prod order components view. even though order status is CNF (through co11n), goods movement for the material that we set backflush is not done (withdrawn qty is still zero)? any settings req?

It is not clear by your issue what is required for you.
If you have not done confirmation, then set the backflush indicator in production order component view for all or some component.
Save the order and then in CO11n in the goods movememt screen you can see all these c omponents.
If you have done the confirmation already, then reverse the component, then in CO02...set the backfkflush indicator and do the confiormation.
    Please come back

  • How remove Special stock indicator for dialog in PO componet overview

    Hi
I am creating production order with reference to the sales order (MTO) after creating the production order in component overview special stock indicator is default value is u20181u2019, plz any one suggest How remove Special stock indicator for dialog display in production order component over view, I have already maintained in MRP 4 Dependent requirements ind. for individual and coll. Reqmts as u20182u2019
    Thanks
    Mohan M

Did you maintain the indiv/ coll indicator as 2 after the creation of planned order / production order? If yes, then re-create the order & then check.
If not, then check in BOM Item details if you have maintained them to be as individual.
    Check & revert.

  • Change component level special stock indicator for Purchase Ord-through CIF

    Hai,
my requirement is to change the the spoecial stock indicator at the component level for the PO .
The purchase reqqusition is available in APO system. At the time converiosn to PO, the PO will get created in R/3 through CIF.
When the Purchase Order is getting saved in R/3 then I need to check the component level Special stock indicator(SOBKZ) & I need change its value.
I am currently using the user exit 'EXIT_SAPLCPUR_001' to change the same.in this user exit, I am changing the component level SOBKZ in the table IT_INPUT & I am also setting X in IT_INPUTX table.
But the changes are not reflecting in the newly created PO.It always shows the value 'E' for SOBKZ.
can any one tell me is this the right user exit to change the above value? if yes please expalin me in rdetail on how to change this.
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar.

    Hai Saurabh,
I have tried changing the CP_POSITION-SOBKZ field in the user exit EXIT_SAPLMEPI_006.This one changes the SOBKZ of the item of PO i.e, the change reflects in EKPO table.
What I am looking for is to change the Component level SOBKZ of the ITEM of the PO.The change reflects in RESB-sobkz table.
I think,  In the User exit EXIT_SAPLCPUR_001, the field IT_INPUT-SP_STK_IND is meant for this. But this is not working.
Please inform me how the RESB-SOBKZ can be changed?
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar
