Specific iTunes Shortcut for Editing Tags

When editing info for a track, is there a keyboard shortcut that emulates hitting the "Previous" and "Next" buttons? Nothing intuitive for me seemed to work...

Just to clarify (the text didn't appear correctly):
that is cmd+1, cmd+2, etc. for each tab. Works like a gem.

Where can I find a list of the keyboard shortcuts for editing a Wiki page, on Windows and Mac?

I tried searching in Help, but I haven't been able to find anything. I'd like to get a list of the keyboard shortcuts that work while editing a wiki page in the Mac Server Wiki running on Lion.
When accessing Lion Server Wiki from a Mac, some of the usual suspects work: cmd+B for bold, cmd+} to indent, etc. When accessing the Lion Server Wiki from Windows, though, I can't find an equivalent keyboard shortcut for the indent / unindent. Where can I find a list of all of them?

They are also listed in the built-in User Guide accessible directly on the iPhone in Safari.

Keyboard shortcut for editing current cell?

The help document and my well chosen attempts has yielded no relief from having to click the cell with a mouse to edit it's contents.

Keyboard shortcut for editing titles and captions

Hi there,
I'd like to edit the titles and captions of a bunch of photos (the contents of an album, for example), and I'd like to know if there is some combination of keyboard shortcuts so that I can do it which constantly using the mouse.
In other words, I'd like to edit the title of a photo, the caption, then the title of the next photo, the caption, etc.
Any suggestions?

How do I apply the favorite tags in PE5 with a keyboard shortcut.
in previous versions, I would press Ctrl-1 to apply the tag.

Just hit the number key - no CTRL.

Shortcut for 'edit' (similar to F2 in windows)

I switched to Mac half a year ago, but still can't find a substitute for F2 on Windows - such as edit a file name a or contents of a cell in Numbers without having to double-click it.

Keyboard shortcuts for tags not working

I'm working on a WWII documentary and using Prelude to assign lots of markers, including tags for historical figures who appear very frequently in the WWII newsreels such as "Rommel" and "Hitler"
Not sure why, but when I assign any keyboard shortcut for a custom tag, the shortcut doesn't work, please see here:
I decided to assign "3" for the Hitler tag, but any shortcut I assign for any tag, just doesn't work. Yet it seems that you can assign keyboard shortcuts even for tags, and the Prelude help manual says you can:

The Tag Panel itself does indeed need to have focus in order for it's keyboard shortcuts to activate. The core reason for this is to remove the potential for keyboard shortcut conflicts between the rest of the app the those stored within a Tag template. Remember, you can share Tag Templates across system and with other users. and each template can contain it's own shortcut definitions. The only way to prevent conflicts is to enforce the focus rule.
the recommended workflow is to open a clip and set focus to the Tag Panel. From the Tag Panel all of the Transport Controls (JKL, SPACE BAR for play/pause, etc.) will still function when the Tag Panel has focus. So you should still be able to review your clips and apply Tags via shortcut.
Let me know how this works. We are always looking to improve workflows so if you come up with some improvement ideas please share.

Keyboard shortcuts for cropping not working

iPhoto '11 (9.3.1) cropping shortcuts not working.
Pressing shift while dragging does not disable the "Contrain" setting when using preset sizes. Nothing happens.
What are we supposed to "drag vertically" or "horizontally" in a preset crop size that makes iPhoto switch between portrait or landscape constrain setting?
Having to go to the "Crop" drop-down menu to click-switch contraints between portrait and landscape is very tiring - these shortcuts don't work unless someone can please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

ITunes 11 Edited Tags Changing/Reverting

Hello,
I have an iTunes collection that has been building since 2006. I divide my music into a few categories using the "grouping" tag. Often times when I edit the "grouping" tag I am overwriting either the label or a web address which had been previously added to that tag. I also use Mixed In Key software to analyze my music before adding the music to iTunes. Mixed In Key enters the key of the song into the "comments" tag and the BPM into the "BPM" tag.
I have been doing this for years and lately I have began to notice a problem. On some songs (most songs don't do this), when the song is played iTunes "refreshes" the tag and often times the "grouping" tag changes or reverts back to the info that was previously in the tag, such as the label or web address.
Further, sometimes the key that is written in the "comments" field will change to a long code of digits... something literally like 00007658935482748193.. Always beginning with several zeros.
Is there anything that I can do to have iTunes hard rewrite these fields so that they do not change by themselves?

Yes, others are seeing this. Something in purchased media (I am pretty sure this has only happened with purchased media) is periodically checking back with the iTunes Store and resetting the tags in the iTunes library file but not in the actual media files (metadata are stored in both). I haven't seen a truly systematic diagnosis of the issue (I use an old iTunes and have no iTunes account so I can't test anything myself). There are temporary workarounds but tags will still revert after a time.

I think I have the answer.
I was experiencing the exact same problem. I tried lots of different things but what I think works is to exclude your iTunes folder from Spotlight. Open the System Preference for Spotlight, click on the Privacy tab, and then drag your iTunes folder (in your user/Music folder) into that window pane. In fact, I think it is faster when I am fixing tags!

Is it possible to make a keyboard shortcut for a specific color for fonts?

I'm a novice InDesign user and these forums have been a great resource, so thank you for your time.
I'm doing a very complicated "text art" project and I'd like to be able to change text colors right from the keyboard.
In Word, one is able to make a keyboard shortcut (to an unused key combination) that would allow you to change text to white, for example and another combination to change it to black, etc.
I'd love to be able to do that in InDesign without having to mouse over to the color swatch or over to a paragraph style with the text color set.

For anyone else who has this problem - I actually found out an easy workaround.
There's another forum that addresses the NumPad issue for MacBooks (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/324960) and I did a modified version for character styles v. paragraph styles per the final comment by Kaj-Ettore.

Watch the number '(1)' in brackets on the last line: This is the Style number according to the Styles listed in the 'Character Styles' Panel of InDesign (following "[None]").
Per my setup, "White" is 1 and "Black" is 2.
SEE SCREENSHOT:
Decrement the style you'd like to be applied via this script from the styles listed in the InDesign-applet 'paragraph styles'.
*Note - This Workaround only works for specific Documents – since InDesign links Styles with document templates.
(2) Save the Script to:
%InDesign_Install_Folder%\Scripts\Scripts Panel\Samples\JavaScript\Style(%nmb%).jsx
or name the file as you like. You'll have to assign a keyboard-shortcut to this and other files later, so it is wise to choose a common and memorable syntax for naming, e. g. numbers or style-names. (I used Style(White).jsx)
(3) Repeat this step for every style you'd like to be applicable via a keyboard shortcut...

Assign a Shortcut to the Script
(1) Open InDesign > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > %YourSetOfShortcuts%
(2) Select 'Scripts'
(3) Choose the first script you've written, e. g. 'style(body).jsx'
(4) Create Shortcuts for Standard- and Text-Environment
(5) Repeat for any script you've written
(6) Done.
This worked perfectly for me and I can now use ONE keyboard shortcut (albeit 3 simultaneous keys) to change from black text to white text.

Editing Tags in itunes - does tag info stay with file?

I have a question about editing tags in itunes, hopefully I can explain myself clearly enough here...
I have a very large music collection...almost 10,000 files now, and have spent alot of time editing the tags, renaming mispelled artists and song names etc...my question is, when that tag is edited, will all that tag info remain intact when I copy the actual mp3's to another computer? I want to back all the music up to my laptop, which is running same version of itunes, but I don't want to have to start over again with editing the tags. When I initially put the files on my computer the tags were really messed.

ITunes match- Problems with editing tags

Need some Help.
I have changed the tags on some of my albums either before or after updating on iTunes match
For example I have the Paul Simon anthology on which one song has the artist Simon and Garfunkel so changed it just to Paul Simon. Unfortunately after doing this it has created two duplicate artists / albums one listed in the alphabetical list under 'S' and one under 'P' ???
Another example is a compilation country cd (Yes I do occassionaly listen to country!!) changed all artists to ' Various country artists' rather than have my artist list cluttered. It has now appeared as 'Various country artists' under 'F' in the artist alphabetical list. Only one entry this time though.
I am making sure all the edit boxes ie artist / album are ticked and hit iTunes update after the changes.
Where am I going wrong. Intend to put a whole load of compilation cd's on in the future and need to sort this before I do.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

This may help you out.
I handle complication CDs by entering the actual artist name for the track in the Artist field. Then I enter Various Artists in the Album Artist field. I also uncheck the "compilation" tag in the options for the album. This will then display the album under V in my alphabetical listing by artist. So the Album Artist tag is what is important.

Sorry, i did not say that i need to go out further than 1 week. This is for a church Bell Tower Music System. So we don't want to have to re program the music every week. We are looking for more of a Calender App that will play iTunes Songs for alarms...different songs, on different days. IDEAS ANYONE ???

I just downloaded the newest reconfigured version of iTunes, and for the first time ever my content is all screwed up. Specifically, all of my playlists are gone, so are my apps. However, the music library is intact. Any ideas? Thanks.............

The good news is that my music library is intact and that I've got more than one device with everything as it should be on them; the bad news is that my PC does not recognise my devices and keeps defaulting to " lets sync your devices to this new computer loose all of the playlists I've spent years compiling". I don't get it. Any ideas?
