Specific song wont work in iMovie?

I am working on a long movie in iMovie, approx 1.5 hours. Adding music to it currently and all has been working just fine. I added a song and edited a bunch of pictures to time to the music and then when replaying it the audio suddenly stopped and iMovie nearly froze it was so slow. I restarted and played the whole movie, which works fine until it gets to the specific problem song, at which point it plays no audio. Looking at the "sound waves" it has no sound to it. I tried deleting and replacing the music file, no dice.
So I removed the movie from my current playlist that I was pulling it from, and tried to reload it all over again into iMovie. Again same problem. I have placed other tracks in place of this one in the movie and they all work just fine, but I want this specific song to work here...anyone have thoughts on what could be causing this?

It's hard sometimes to guess what's happened. But there is a workaround that might get that audio clip working. Most often converting it to an 16bit AIFF file (uncompressed) will be enough to allow iMovie to play it back. Even in a large project like they one you are making. Do you know what file format it is in now?

hello, my songs wont work on my ipod but it works on my iphone. is there a reason this is happening? the songs are in .aiff format.
i downloaded a bunch of songs from youtube, and used audacity to convert them because i didnt like the bit rate.
i think it's the 6th gen ipod nano? its the small square one with a touch screen.
after that, i synced my iphone and the ipod nano. the songs are working on my iphone, but not on my ipod nano..

That is a problem with iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5/10.6 for many users. Sometimes unsyncing the songs and resyncing works. Other times restoring from backup works. Other users had not really found a solution.

Half of my video wont work on imovie on ipad mini

Hi all, i make youtube videos, for christmas i was lucky enough to recieve an ipad mini. i downloaded imovie on it to edit my videos, and i got it for free. i recorded my video on my camera as normal and imported the video on to my laptop (not a mac) and first of all it wouldnt let me sync it on my ipad so i had to go onto window movie maker and save it as a project then sync it, that seemed to work fine. So i went onto imovie on my ipad and imported and it was going great and i was editing, ( by the way my video was 27 minutes long) and then at one point of the video it stopped, the sound wouldnt work and it was still playing but the video was just a black screen? so i thought my camera must of stopped recording, so ive watched it back on my laptop and it is fine, something has happened while it has been synced from my laptop to my ipad and i dont no what? please some one help it is so annoying, i have synced it four times and it just wont work. annoying!

I have now solved my problem..
I needed my video to be in MP4, lucky my camera has a MP4 mode on it so i didnt have to convert it!!

ONE SONG WONT WORK

only one song on my ipod wont work! it skips to the next song.. please help me!

If you select the song directly on your iPod, does it play? Or is it skipping as part of a playlist? Does it play in iTunes?
Do you have the Shuffle feature on? And is the track set in iTunes to Skip When Shuffling? (Found in the Get Info window on the track when selected in iTunes.)
If none of these address the problem, perhaps it's a bad track?

Lags and songs wont work

The last time I put a song on my Ipod was a few days ago and that song worked perfectly until now so I know it isn't a virus.
Here's the story: I listen to my Ipod for about an hour; it works perfectly fine the whole time. I then turn it off, lay it on it's frontside on my bed and leave it there for the rest of the day. I come back after a few hours to listen to some mroe songs and now it's acting up. Here're the problems:
- There's lag when using the wheel and going through categories.
- When I open a song, it'll have the "Now Playing" text at the top but it wont actually play.
It has almost full power and I have it charging as I type this but nothing is changing.

Hey - I wish I could help you - my music has disappeared from itunes 4 times, and I have lost some songs. This time I reimported them, and they would not play! I thought somehow the title only came in, so I reimported them again, and guess what - now I have 2 of every song, and they all play! Now I have to go thru and delete every other song - boy, this is getting to be more trouble than it is worth. No one at Apple knows anything - they told me to come to this chat room filled with people like me with problems, but no answers here either.
I feel for you - if I hear anything, I will tell you - hope you do the same

Isight wont work with imovie

hi all,
everytime i create a movie magic using my isight,, it always say that "CAnt find A DV Camera" prompt,, though im seeing myself from the screen... how can i make isight work for for imovie 05???
is there a way to change DV camera option to Isight??

Mp4 downloaded from facebook wont work in imovie 08

I recently learned how to download videos off of facebook and save it onto my hardrive, and now I am trying to import them to be cut on IMovie, but only the audio will load. Any help? I am desperate, been trying to figure it out for hours. Thanks!

Ive authorized my music to my new mac but it wont let me play 2 specific songs out of the 40 i have? and it says its authorized!!

i just got a new macbook pro and i authorized my itunes with my apple id and was able to copy all the music i purchased on my phone to my itunes. i them sync my phone to my itunes and all my music copied over and did not delete which is great! the problem is that it wont let me play these 2 specific songs on my iphone or on my itunes on mac! they were both purchased with my apple id and i have no idea why it wong let me play these 2 specific songs even after i authorized my apple id. please help

First the link is a tutorial for iMovie on a Mac. I'm using iMovie on iPad so the steps are inapplicable.
Second it is only possible for me to manipulate the end part of the sound clip to whichever duration I want. But I can't do the same with the 'beginning' of the sound clip.
I simply want to place some photos in the beginning of my video with no sound in the background then after like 2 secs I want to start the music clip. For some reason that is not possible! Cause every time I drop the music clip unto my project timeline it automatically place it self along with the first frame in the project! And consequently the photos and music are forced to start together.

I bought and downloaded a couple a songs on Itune. Now when I try and play the song it wont work. Itunes and the computer both say they cannot locate the song. what do i do? what happened?

Now shuffle wont work or controls to go to next song or previous

Anyone run into this issue - my controls wont work on my itunes - running latest version. just plays the song i pick but wont go to next one even if I press next or previous. Also shuffle wont work. Any ideas? I downloaded 7.2 again and pressed fix and also restarted machine and nothing. If I un-install itunes will that get rid of my library _ I have over 46 gigs music and dont want to lose it but I can use itunes like this. Or can I switch back to old version of itunes which worked fine. Thanks for help

Nano got wet was working tried to upload new songs now wont work?

My nano 6th generation got wet. i put in rice was working after that fine. recently tried to upload new music to it and now it wont work.Have tried several times to restore it. It turns on fine but touch screen dosent seem to work. i start to move it then it freezes?
