Specific web color in gif after converstion?

I'm adding areas to photos that I want to match the background color of my web page. How can I make those areas exactly what I want?

Because it is a gif, it is indexed color and it won't let me add that color. If I change it to RGB, I can add the color and it saves as a PNG, which is a larger file size. Can I add the color to the palette before I convert, then it will be available?

GIF is a limited format with only 256 colors. unsuitable colors will be quantized to the next available color or emulated using dithering. Everything else we cannot know, since you haven't provided proper information. Quite possible that you have color management issues...

Save for web color shift - only on images smaller than 150x150px

I'm getting a color shift only on small images (150x150px or smaller) when I save for web in Photoshop CC and CS6. That's very weird as it doesn't happen to images larger than 150x150px! That issue happens with images with different measurements as well (e.g. rectangle), the small looks dull and the larger display the right color.
My Color Settings are set to "Monitor Color". Under save for web I have the following options not ticked: Embed Color Profile and Convert to sRGB. (viget.com/inspire/the-mysterious-save-for-web-color-shift)
I'm running the OS X 10.8.4 on a macbook pro, I tested that on both, Safari 6.0.5 and FF.
The squares in the screenshot were saved exatly the same way. The largerer displays the right color #FFCB32, but the smaller displays the color wrong.

Web Queries stop Working after KB2925418

I am having an issue where a specific web query (to our CRM) we use stops working after the installation of KB2925418.
Our System Info:
Windows 2012 R2
Office 2013
CRM 2011 Update 17
I have done the following (each step is a follow on from the previous, reboot after each step) - no other settings have changed
1) Install Windows 2012 R2 (no updates) and Office 2013 Std (no updates) -
Works
2) Update Office 2013 fully (via Windows Update) - Works
3) Update all Windows updates (via windows Updates) - Doesn't work
4) Uninstall KB2925418 - Works
5) Update to KB2919355 - Doesn't Work
6) Windows Update all remaining - Doesn't Work
Now I assume KB2919355 includes the fixes in KB2925418, which is why it doesn't work.
If I edit the Query via the Connection Properties (on Data Menu) I can view the data, It just does not appear in excel
Anyone had a similar issue ?
Any Idea on a possible fix ? (I have tried a number of IE settings etc, allowed crossing zones etc)

Do the issue only occur the Excel 2013 web query connects the CRM? Have you tried to use the web query connect the other public website (Such as Microsoft website)
The update patch is related to the IE cumulative security, if the issue only occur with accessing CRM, I suppose that there are some compatibility issue between the patch and CRM.
If the issue is occurred with all the web query, I recommend we uninstall the patch and wait for fix.
I'll monitor the issue to check if other customer has the same issue in the forum.

CS5 save for web color change problem

I've just started using PS CS5 on a new iMac, and I'm having some problems with save for web colors. If I save an image (for example a shape with a solid color) then add it to a site I'm making then test in Safari, then take a screenshot with Grab, then open again in Photoshop, test the screenshot color with the eyedropper, the color value is slightly different to the original Photoshop file.
Previously in CS3, I had the color settings RGB workspace set to Monitor RGB display, and view > proof setup > Monitor RGB. Then when saving for web I made sure convert to sRGB was unchecked. This always worked and would give me the exact same colors in the browser as Photoshop.
I have tried the same settings now is CS5, plus a few other variations (like using view >proof setup > internet standard RGB) but it is just not working.
Does anyone know the correct setup to save for web in CS5 and get the same original colors?
I'm saving them as jpegs.
I hope someone can help with this. Thanks in advance

I'm really confused about this now. My display profile in OSX settings is set to iMac. I have some specific questions:
- What should my color settings be in Photoshop?
- What should the proof setup be set to?
- What color profile should my documents be set to?
- What are the correct options to select when I save to web?
I just want to able to save a jpeg image for web, and get the exact same colors as my original Photoshop file. Please help!

Can't connect to specific Web site

I was able to access all Web sites using PCs attached to a WRT54GS (wired and wireless). Then, when nothing seemingly changed in my setup, I could no longer access a specific site with either wired or wireless. It is a site I access frequently (an ecommerce site that I maintain). Once the problem was seen on one PC, it is seen on all PCs using the router. It is a domain that I have registered, but I am not hosting it myself. Others have no problem accessing this web site.
I was able to reset the WRT54GS a couple of times (not just power cycling) to get rid of this problem, but eventually, the problem was no longer corrected by a reset. I also upgraded to the latest firmware, and it did not help. I tried removing the router and connecting a PC directly to my cable modem. I could access the site just fine this way.
I tried a different router (BEFSR41), and everything worked fine for a few days. Then the same problem started happening again. Resetting the BEFSR41 also stopped fixing the problem after a couple of tries. Again, hooking an individual PC directly to the cable modem worked fine.
I then tried a second WRT54GS router. For several days, there were no problems. But eventually, the site was not accessible again. I have found no other sites that I could not access. I have borrowed a non-Linksys wireless router for over a month now, and the problem has not been seen.
My question is why do three different Linksys routers (2 WRT54GS and 1 BEFSR41) no longer allow me to connect to a specific Web site? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I had the same problem, and I finally solved it through DNS refreshing.
After MTU manipulation left me nowhere, I tried ye olde:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
...with no success. I then looked over the ipconfig options, and decided to try:
ipconfig /registerdns
...which finally worked!
So much for twelve hours of my life.

Why does a specific web archive file show in a finder search by a specific person's name?

When searching by specific person's name in Finder, a specific .web archive file saved from a Safari browsing session appears. Why is this? Was the person's name entered into the browsing session? Was the .web archive file sent to the person?

All self-hosted web fonts are deleted after update to latest Muse version (2014.3)

All the self-hosted web fonts are deleted after updating Muse.
It is necessary to import the self-hosted fonts again and then redefine every paragraph style to make it work again.
This is an extra hour of work for every site using self-hosted fonts.
Please make sure to improve this on the next update-release of Adobe Muse.

the site is directly uploaded using MUSE Upload to ftp host. When I open it with ftp client, there is off file of etelkawidemedium in fonts file.
And I have tried to upload plain webpage with the same web font - not made in Muse and it works.

Has anyone successfully isolated WebIntelligence ad hoc reports to be processed by specific Webi Report Processing Server? We need to enforce governance on the database side. We can restrict scheduling for Webi reports to specific Webi Report Processing Server, but not for ad hoc reports. Otherwise is there a way to do connection override for scheduled Webi reports?

New version that's comming up SBO Bi4.0 will have bouilt in monitoring that will allow what you requesting.
In the current product line - this is not possible, unless you just monitor WIReportServer.exe at OS level and alert when it's memory or CPU usage goest too high... (if memory reaches close to and above 1.7gb - you're going into troubles.)
There are various fixes and improvements to Webi processing stability in recent fix and service packs, so if you're having webi instability - you should review latest FP fix issues list (in SMP to right of FP download there is an Info link - it leads to fixed issues docs).
If you do not see your issue listed - open incident with support - let them investigate.
Webi crashing when merging/unmerging dimentions sounds like a bug...

SP 2013 replace specific icon color

I have a custom Css applied to the whole sharePoint sites, but what I want is that the sharePoint Icons was highlighted should come in white.
I have not used themes in SharePoint and have applied custom CSS using custom master page.
I have explored options to create custom themes and then apply in which SP theme engine generates the Sprite images.
But creating theme will be a big ask and hence we want to stick to custom css, but want to replace specific images to white.
Please suggest how this is possible.

I suggest you can use Jquery .css method to set the icon color , you can use SharePoint Designer to add Jquery code under the

I'm working in Freehand 11 and I would like to add a web
color (#b0d3d7) to my swatches palette. When I add it as an RGB
color, it is slightly off. And if I go to the paint bucket color in
my tools palette, it won't allow me to type in the 6-digit web
color. Is there something I'm missing? It seems like it would be
pretty simple.

Yes, and if it seems "off" it's not because it is wrong it's
just
because you are looking at FH's color managed or non-color
managed
interpretation/version of that color. Illustrator would show
you yet
another version. Move to another computer and you might see
even
another version. There is not such thing as a "Correct"
onscreen color.
