How about add an option to let us specify exactly which audio file to play on sound events?

but i want to be able to use a sound event specific to lightroom and i dont want to change my windows sound scheme to do that

However I think this method is not convenience, if I don't want to play it how I can get the length of the audio file?

I tried getDuration() before, but it always return a same time, I think maybe I didn't realize the player.

You don't need to download an App.
My understanding is that you simply have to change the file extension from .3ga to.mp3 (on each file) and then they should play.
That said, it works on a Macbook Pro - I've just tried it.
Not sure about iOS though.
Please reply if it works for you.

Powerpoint - audio file not playing

Hi I created a PP presentation using PP 2010 and I inserted an audio file to play automatically throughout the whole presentation. I email it to a friend and it plays perfectly on her computer at home. However, when she tries to play it on her laptop at
school (they have Office 2007) the music doesn't play at all.
I've told her to delete the audio file and insert it again but it still isn't working - any suggestions?

What's the format of that audio file? Convert its format to .wmv and re-insert it.
Please copy the audio file onto desktop and directly play it through Windows Media Player, does it work?

5.1 audio files and movies no sound!!!

I did a test already. The 5.1 audio still play through ATV 1 but do not play on ATV 2. anyone else have these problems. These are 5.1 Dts audio files. They have always worked on the ATV 1. Also, certain movies that have Dolby digital have no sound on ATV 2 but they play fine on ATV 1. I have turned the audio setting on ATV 2 to Dolby digital "on" it's not set to auto. Anyone have any fixes?

Well on my yamaha receiver it says DTS when playing these audio files. I know it's not officially supported but DTS does work...these are 5.1 audio DVD files I believe. I got them from a friend. But anyway they still work on old apple tv but not new one. I have no idea why that is. They must have changed something in that little black box. This is a a delayed response to this discussion but I thought I would share my problem with this.
I have a USB audio interface, which I have configured as the default sound device on my iMac (OSX Lion). This works well in all applications, except Flash.
I have the device configured at quite a high bit rate.
Flash doesn't like this - it makes very strange noises. The only work around I have found is to disable the sound interface when I am working in Flash, and use the built in speakers on my iMac.
It works, but I'm the kind of guy that likes things to just work =)
e.g. if iTunes can play mp3s through my sound interface, why can't Flash?
To be honest I think Adobe need to do a lot of work on the audio side of things with Flash. Not just playback - something a bit more flexible like Premier would be cool. Flash isn't dead yet. Come on Adobe!
A lot of the work I am doing at the moment requires building animation to a pre-recorded audio file.

Audio files not playing

When I export a Keynote project as a Quicktime movie, the audio file becomes a separate quicktime file. Documentation says you can discard it, but when i do that, the audio won't play with the main movie.
And when I email the main movie, the audio doesn't go with it.
Anyone know how to fix?

I always export the Keynote project to QT and import
the QT movie into Garageband (soundtrack). Then I
choose the music and "export to file..."
Then you get a QT movie with the sound you need!

I'm not sure I follow your words Fuzzynormal. You've helped by offering the insight that my issue in Logic Pro 9 is not a bug but a feature. But fell short of enlightenment by being a judge of character and of how one should interact in this forum. You insinuate that I haven't tried to solve the issue on my own when in fact I have. Why is the audio file stop playing midway through a .mp3 file in Firefox and not in the IE browser ?

I added an audio file on to my website, http://www.widescreenonlinereview.com/COMIC-REVIEWS.html. However, the mp3 file stop midway though the song, but the .mp3 file plays completely in the IE Browser.
I tried update Firefox, but I lost some major add-on, which me caused to return to my present Firefox browser, and the .mp3 file still would not play completely in the updates browser either.

Trashed audio files still playing in presentation

In a keynote presentation audio files were trashed (I thought) by dragging from the slide to trash. Audio file disappeared from the slide. Problem is the file still plays. Any ideas how to find it so that it can be deleted properly. (Lion and intel) Help appreciated.

Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

I would like my students to listen to a story as they read it. Is there a way to embed the audio file and have it play through the entire book? I successfully embedded the audio file, but it stopped playing when I turned the page.

Have you checked to see if all of your browsers doesn't have a web page that is opened that has the audio? (Best thing is to quit all of your browsers to get that out of the way.) If it goes away, then find out which browser (if multiple), and then figure out what page or just close it if you wish.
Once you get the browsers out of the way and the audio is still playing. Then quit other programs.

Audio file not playing - CS6 After Effects

I am taking a Motion Design class and the .mov file that has the audio clip I need was provided by the instructor and worked in class using CS5 After Effects. When I try to work on the movie at home, the audio file does not play. Does the audio file have to be a different file format to work with CS6?
