Speed/Duration with Field Rendered AVI

I have field rendered AVI movies with audio. When I change the speed of the clips and then export to MPEG2, put the file on a DVD, the fields are messed up in the faster part. Is there a way to speed up clips that have fields? I understand that some quality will be lost, but I just don't want it to shake.

BTW, I mentioned that it was field rendered because I work with animation and we can render with or without fields.

Speed/Duration info not preserved when importing from Premier Pro to After Effects (CS3)

After succesfully importing my PP project into AE and adding effects, I realised that all clips in PP which had speed/duration adjustments resulted in blank black screens after rendering out on AE.
I then imported the AE composition into PP as a new project and the clips with any changes to speed were stilll black/blank.
I made changes to the speed of individual clips by right clicking on the clip an changing Speed/Duration.
Any help would be appreciated, fellas - thank you!

Incase anyone else is having this same issue I have discovered what was causing the problem. Apparently the program Hear by Joesoft is incompatible with the MediaCore service. Only after uninstalling Hear was I able to run these programs again.

CS3 problem rendering AVIs

We've been struggling with an odd issue here at my job for several weeks now, and can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
About 6 weeks ago After Effects CS3 (on our Mac) just suddenly stopped rendering AVIs properly. It will actually render the file and it takes about as long as expected (the file size will be about the expected size as well), but when you try to play the rendered AVI, it plays about 6 seconds ( of what should be a 1 to 2 minute AVI) and thats it! The scrubber will travel all the way to the end of the timeline on the player as though the total file is only 6 seconds long even though the file size is appropriate for a much larger file.
The IT guys here have reset the defaults on After Effects, re-installed After Effects, Repaired permissions on the Mac, re-installed the OS X on the Mac and the last thing they tried was re-installing quicktime (because AE uses the Quicktime renderer for so many tasks). Strangely enough, re-installing Quicktime fixed the problem for about 3 renders.
The Mac is our primary render station here and we've had to resort to rendering out Targa sequences, transferring them to a PC and rendering them to AVI format from there. The extra steps are really starting to be a bottle-neck in our pipeline, so if anyone can offer any help with this, I would really appreciate it!
The renders are being exported to an uncompressed AVI (since you can't render to AVI format from the render queue on a Mac) in After Effects CS3.
The specs on our Mac are: Power Mac running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger), dual 3Ghz Intel Xeon processors, and 4GB RAM.

) here are his suggestions:
Somebody discovered Open GL, which shouldn't ber used for rendering in AE... so turn it off.
Somebody discovered that you can use multiprocessing in AE... but since you need a whole bunch of RAM, and 4GB isn't much at all, you should turn that off, too.

Time Code Effect Source Monitor and rendered .AVI movie display different timings???

Im seeing a strange error and hope someone might be able to help me out. I am shooting elementary classroom reading lessons for a study by the University of Michigans School of Education. It is important to the study to see what takes place over about a 2hour period of time.
Im shooting with 2 cameras. 1 on the teacher the other on the students. Im shooting on mini DV. The first camera I start about 4min ahead of the second so that when the 1hour tape is filled I can switch the tape in camera 1 while still capturing activity on camera 2.
When I edit the footage I am cutting back and forth between the 2 cameras. One initial shot is of the classroom clock as it ticks from one minute to the next. I later use this footage as a guide when establishing the Time of Day.
When the entire lesson is edited together and cut. I add two transparent video tracks each with the Timecode effect added. The first I synchronize with the classroom clocksetting the Timecode Source to Generate matching the Starting Timecode with the clock footage. I then crop the frames portion so viewers will know the time of day the footage was shot. The other I leave the Timecode Source set as Clip. I use the size and position controls to move the two timers into the upper left of the screen.
When I view the finished video in the Program Monitor everything looks great. When I Export|Movie to an .AVI file the video looks correct but the timers are off. The last frame of the video in the Source Monitor displays 11:28:19 for the clock timer and 02;02;00;23 for the total time timer. But when I view the .AVI the last frame displays 11;03;40 for the clock and 01;37;36;25 for the total time.
So how did I lose 24min between the Source Monitor displays and the rendered .AVI displays?

Yes. After I had the .AVI I ran through the two side-by-side (.avi and the Source Monitor). I have since experimented with some of the Time Code effect settings trying to see if these might have some impact. I have not been able to find any detailed explanation of what each setting controls/does other than an overview (see link below).
I suspect that this has something to do with the size/length of the clip 2+ hours. Is there an optimal length for an individual clip? Should I be splitting this into 2 or 3 shorter sequences and then putting them on a DVD with Encore and setting it up to play them back-to-back?

Field rendering issues

I don't know what Im doing wrong, but every time I render from FCP or Motion the fields are always separated and jagged.
I'm familiar with After Effects and I used to always just turn off field rendering in the clips and in the project and it looks clear as a can be, but no matter what I do in FCP or Motion, it's always wrong again. So I bring it in to AE and turn off field rendering, and bingo! Looks great, but I shouldn't have to do this.
What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the discussions - how are you judging this? Default for interlaced media (like DV) is to display only one field (though both are present)... If you turn on the high quality flag in QT player, you'll see both fields. But again, this is strictly a display issue and not a render quality issue...

All depends on the system...
If by "Chroma rendering" you mean chroma key rendering then it seems quite slow (but I cut on a hopped up
8X 3.2GHz Mac Pro with a lot of everything, so slow is relative.)
If you mean something like a Magic Bullet Colorista "treatment", that's another story. I've seen that increase renders by as much as 25X the duration, i.e., a 30 minute show might take 12-15 hours on a slow machine.

Vector output madness - horizontal lines that look like bad field rendering?

Has anyone run into this rendering problem using ONLY vector graphics? It looks like a field rendering problem but all I can find on that subject is with regard to film footage. I've tried continuous rasterization and still no joy. Using a Mac, running AE CC2014, output to Quicktime HD 1080i 25fps .mov format. These "cells" are part of a Cannon Particle Playground effect if that makes any difference at all. It was all looking perfect until the render. So frustrating.
Anyone have experience with this?? Going out of my mind...

which has to be primary key .
such as
create table ztest
in that create field MANDT type clnt size 3 primary key
name type String .
then change technical settings according to requirement .
Delivery maintenance
delivery class and Data Browser/Table View M

Before activating table save technical setting and then activate .

The data type of InfoObject 0ORGUNIT is incompatible with field 0ORGUNIT

I am trying to create a DataSource in BW to load the organizational hierarchy from HR R/3 to BW. I get the message "The data type of InfoObject 0ORGUNIT is incompatible with field 0ORGUNIT,"
Our BW version is 3.5; the version of HR R/3 is SAP ECC 6.0.
I'm not sure what this message means but if I continue to click OK, I get transfer structures for the org attributes and hierarchies but not the text. The key to the text is 60 characters. Shouldn't the key be the org unit, which is in format NUMC 8?
I was able to create this DataSource last summer, when HR was in a different version (4.6?) with no issues. Does anybody have any idea what's wrong and what I can do about it?

How to create an internal table with fields from different sources

I need to create an internal table where some of the fields are from a database table, and the other fields are user specified. How do i do that?
Example:
DB table ZTAB with fields ZTAB-FIELD1, ZTAB-FIELD2.
I want to create an internal table ITAB with the fields ZTAB-FIELD1, ZTAB-FIELD2 from ZTAB. In addition, I also want to have one more field RECORD_NO, which is not from ZTAB. How do I do it? Could I do something like below?
DATA BEGIN OF ITAB.
        INCLUDE STRUCTURE ZTAB.
DATA RECORD_NO TYPE I.
DATA END OF UPLINE.
Or, are there more efficient way of doing it? Thanks.

Problem with image rendering program

I am trying to use a 3D image segmentation program called "ITK-SNAP" on Mac Mini (2013). However, when I loaded the image, half of the image is not showing. I have tried the program on OSX 10.8.5 and OSX 10.9.1 (same computer, just upgraded yesteday), and both OS gave me the same problem. I have also tried different versions of "ITK-SNAP", and that did not seem to help either. The specs for the Mac Mini is the following:
Processor: 2.5 Hz Intel Core i5
Memory 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024MB
Software OSX 10.9.1 (13B42)
I was able to use this program without a problem on an older Macbook Pro laptop (2009, with OSX 10.8.5). The specs for the laptop is the following:
Porcessor: 2.4 Hz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 3GB 1067MHZ DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB
Software OSX 10.8.5 (12F45)
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Is it necessary to reinstall some drivers?

The Nvidia GeForce GPU in the MacBook can handle the 3d. The HD4000 Intel in the Mini can't UNLESS you bump up your system RAM to 8Gb or 16Gb.
Here's why. The Nvidia is a dedicated chip, and it doesn't rely solely on system RAM to operate. The Intel HD4000 does. The MORE system RAM you have, the MORE video RAM you'll have with the Intel chip. I have 16Gb and my VRAM is 1024Mb. I use Photoshop CS5 and CS6. With 4Gb RAM, I don't have enough VRAM for either to enable 3D drawing. With 512Mb VRAM (8Gb system RAM), CS5 would allow 3D, but only with software rendering, and CS6 wouldn't allow it at all. Once I put 16Gb in the Mini, BOTH allow 3D rendering with hardware.

Creating a view on KONA & KONH - Failed with 'Field name DATAB not unique'

    I am creating a view on KONA (Rebate Agreement) & KONH (Conditions Header) tables. The link is KONA-KNUMA = KONH-KNUMA_AG.
   The field 'DATAB' exists in both tables and I have included those two fields under 'View Fields' . When I tried to activate the View, it fails with 'Field name DATAB not unique'.
   The following is the complete error message:

Diagnosis
When you define aggregates (views, lock objects or matchcode objects), you can assign the aggregate fields your own names (the system assigns names to the basic fields automatically). These names must be unique.
System response
The system has established that the names assigned to the aggregate fields in an aggregate definition are not unique and issues an error message.
Procedure
Assign unique names to the aggregate fields in question.
   Why I am not able to create the view after including a field that EXISTS in two tables, PLEASE ?

you can include both fields (but what for??); most likely KNUMH will also complain after fixing DATAB (just a guess...).
You can include both fields if you name them differently (different aliases):
In the view fields tab, enter two different names in the column "view field".
this will work.

I have a program that sends information(analog output) to lab windows cvi in the form of a text file or user input.
The program runs on the computers that I have the field point explorer and lab windows cvi installed on. In order to run the program without always installing labwindows/cvi and field point; I wanted to create an executable file that could be load on another computer.
I used the create distribution kit part of labwindows/cvi to do this.After creating the distribution kit, I then installed it
to another computer.
My user interface appears on the screen, when the user clicks on the exe. file, but no data is sent to the field point module. I know that the data is being read from the user and textfile because in it appears in the uir.
The following are some details about the problem:
1. On another computer without labwindows/cvi and field point explorer not installed - no data is sent to field point module
I know this because a current is being read on the current meter connected to field point module.
My questions are the following:
1. What are the possible reasons for the data not being sent to the field point module?
2. Do I still need to create an iak. (Installing Field point Explorer) file stored on any new computer that I install my created distribution kit file too?

1) If you do not install FieldPoint Explorer, the FieldPoint Server is not installed so there is nothing on the target computer that knows how to talk to the FieldPoint system.
2) Yes, you need an IAK file on the target computer. Assuming the settings (i.e. com port#) are identical you can simply include the iak file as part of the distribution.
3) You also need to include as part of your installer the file "fplwmgr.dll". If this file is not installed, your program will not be able to access the FieldPoint Server. Alternatively, this file is installed automatically if FieldPoint Explorer detects LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio Development versions on the target computer or if you choose to do a custom FieldPoint Explorer installation and
choose to provide LabWindows/CVI support.
