Speed Effect Bug - Red/ Green Bar

I am currently working in ProRes HQ NTSC SD, but I have been able to replicate
this issue with 8-bit Uncompressed. Here it is: when using a speed effect on a
clip, with frame blending turned on, I am seeing an artifact in the lower few
scanlines. The artifact is either a green or red bar, or what looks like the
equivalent of analog head-switching (same size and location). Now I say with
frame blending turned on, because when I turn it off, the problem goes away.
Also, if I blow up the clip to 103%, then it is also gone; effectively pushing
the artifact out of the scan area. Here's a sample:

Not sure if this might be a Kona 3 issue, but I've trashed prefs and reinstalled
Kona software to no avail. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Found some more info on the Nikon D300's built-in chromatic abberation (CA) correction. From DPReview.com:
"The D300 and D3 feature built-in Chromatic Aberration (CA) correction. This feature works by analysing the image, the image processor looks for CA in the image and actively corrects for it. If you're shooting RAW the analysis still occurs but instead of being applied the results of the analysis are simply written into metadata and are used by Capture NX to (optionally) correct. Obviously if you're using a third party RAW converter you won't get automatic CA correction. Our experience was that this worked very well and delivered surprising levels of CA reduction while also improving sharpness (probably due to the fact that the correction itself is effectively drawing the color channels back into alignment)."

This is a big big feature of these cameras (and it's amazing it happens in real-time on the JPEG) -- I can clearly tell the difference between CA and non-CA photos, especially with wide-angle and fish-eye lenses.
Now what I really want is for Aperture to read that RAW CA metadata as well. Until then, I am only going to use Aperture as an archive for RAWs next to the JPEGs. The JPEGs are already CA-corrected, and they'll do for most uses. But if I need the RAW, I will export it to NX, turn it into a TIFF and take it from there.

If i put a new clip to my sequence it shows me a yellow render bar which actually means, i should regive it without bucking or any problems. But even if i put effects on that clip, or an adjusment layer, the render bar wont get red. And if i render the yellow one, with the full effects on the clip, its not able to play it without bucking. So first i wont get any red render bars, secondly even the yellow is not playing without bucking

Can you share your computer system specs, Premiere version, footage source format? Do you have GPU acceleration enabled? There are many factors affecting playback smoothness. Does the sequence preset match the footage? Mismatched frame rates are problematic for instance.

What does the red or green bar at the top of a Keynote presentation rehearsal mean?

Can anyone tell me what the red or green bar means at the top of a Keynote rehearsal presentation? I got the answer wrong on the iworks exam and can't find the answer anywhere. Thanx

This is the Ready to Advance Indicator.
Red means the slide is building effects and is not ready to be advanced to the next slide.
Green means the slide is fully built and is ready to be advanced.

How do I make the red-green-yellow icons and the text in window title bars larger?

The title text is a little too small to just see - I have to concentrate on it to read it - and I can't tell the red-green-yellow icons apart without staring at them. Yes, my sight is quite poor; I'm already sitting as close as I can.

Blu-ray build: no video (solid red, green, etc image)

Hey everyone,
If this problem has already been addressed, could someone please point me in the right direction? I searched and didn't find anything similar, but wasn't too sure what to search for.
My problem: Everytime I build a blu-ray project in Encore, I am getting the same result; the video will play (according to the progress bar on the player), but the image is always a solid color, sometimes it's red, green, tan, black, apparently just random, but always the same color throughout the entire video.
I have tried so many different things at this point, I'm at a loss for how to proceed further. I've tried this with at least three different projects, all of which were created in Premiere. I have attempted both the dynamic link from Premiere to Encore and exporting the video first and importing into Encore later. I have tried transcoding as .264 and MPEG2 (I am not very knowledgeable about the settings, so I use the defaults). I have tried building the project in Encore as a blu-ray folder and as an ISO. I have burned to discs and played just the digital files on my PC.
The video always plays fine up until after it is exported from Encore (that is, it previews fine in Premiere, exported video from Premiere plays fine in players like VLC, and the video previews fine in Encore).And I have no trouble building DVDs in Encore with the same video, timeline, and all that jazz.
The only thing I haven't done yet is gone to the trouble of trying to reinstall Encore, which will be my next step if noone here has any suggestions. I am running CS6 with all recent updates. I have been testing the blu-ray playback in PowerDVD and a PS3.
Like I mentioned above, I'm not very proficient in video. If I left out important details, just let me know. Thanks in advance for any help!

When I play the m2ts file, it works fine in VLC and also in PowerDVD. That's interesting, but I'm not sure what that means?
If the actual m2ts file from the Encore build does not show the problem, but what I assume is the same file on disk (or in iso) shows the problem, what could cause such a problem? (I don't know.) The more frequent oddity is a problem on burned disk and not on iso or folder, which points to the burner, burn speed, or media. But that does not appear to be the issue here.
I can't find the example at the moment, but try creating a tiny bluray project and see if the problem occurs. If so, you can upload it for me to take a look.
For example, one menu with one button, linked to a 30 second timeline, using a sample of your material that is causing the problem. If that shows the problem, I would also try a bars and tones sample to eliminat your actual video - although I assume your video is part of the equation.

Green-bar only works on first matrix in list

Hi there,
I used this tutorial (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/chrishays/archive/2004/08/30/greenbarmatrix.aspx) to have a Green-bar effect in my matrix.
However I have this matrix placed in a list which is grouped on colour (its for items of clothing) which creates a separate matrix for each colour of item - there can be up to 10 matrices per report coming out of this list. The first matrix for the first list
item has the green-bar effect, but each subsequent list item matrix does not have the effect. How can I have the green-bar effect occuring for every list item (and thus every matrix?)

Based on your description, I create a simple report in my test environment. However, I cannot reproduce the same issue.
In order to solve your issue more effective, could you please post your dataset with sample data, and the screenshot about report design? It is benefit for us to do further analysis.

1252 status blinks red,green,blue

Hi,
I'we connected a Cisco 1252 accesspoint to a 802.3af switch, 15.4w.
And it blinks red, green, blue on the status.
The accesspoint is autonomous using latest c1250-k9w7-tar.124-21a.JA1. 5Ghz radio is off/disabled.
but im still getting this in the logs
"Limited(1x3 MIMO) radio functionality due to insufficient inline power. To get full functionality use enhanced PoE switches, power injectors or power supply."
If i physically remove the 5Ghz radio the alarms go away and also the error message about mimo 1x3.
Is there a way to disable the 5ghz radio completeley through software?

TS3798 I have a new Ipad, it says I am connected to the internet but will not load . When attempting to go to a web sight, the green bar goes 1/2 inch then nothing

I have a new ipad, it says I am connected to the internet but will not work. When I attempt to go to a web sight the green bar moves 1/2 inch and nothing.
I have a used linksys router that I got from work. I tried connecting with a older ipad and every thing works correctly. any ideas?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

RAM preview green bar vanished

Hi, does anyone know why the green bar that displays cached frames for RAM preview wouldn't display?
Yesterday it was working. Today it isn't.
I've naturally tried restarting my pc but it's still doing it. I've not altered any settings either in After Effects or on my pc. I literally came in to work this morning and it's gone.
Anyone any ideas? Is there somewhere where I turn it on?
I'm using AE 7.0.1

I don't see the green bar filling up at all.
I've opened up some old AE files to see if it's just the new files it's affecting, but it's affecting all my AE files.
I click the RAM preview button, I see the frames numbers being rendered in the Info panel, and I see the animation rendered in the composition panel.
But no green bar on the timeline filling up to tell me it's progress.
Also scrubbing the timeline would make the green appear, but now it doesn't. It's just totally vanished and not working.
My settings are exactly the same as the identical machine next to me yet that is working just fine.

I have just upgraded to FCP 5.1
I was reorganizing an old project and it's files on an external Lacie Drive. When I opened the project a previously built graphic now appears with a green bar covering about a third of the left side of the frame. The graphic was built in FCP 4 and is made with three FCP titles. I have an mov file of an icon isolated on a green background which is green screen keyed over two cropped and composited photoshop BMP files. The graphic worked great when I originally posted it over a year ago. I don't remember why the icon is in the mov file over a green screen, but it used to work. Any ideas what the green bar means and how to get rid of it? I've re-rendered it all and it still appears.

Imposible to tell from where I'm sitting, sorry. But if you've got the individual elements that allow you re-render, recompose the effect using different filters or a different codec. A lot has happened to FCP since your pixels were last crunched.
Try this, set up a new, empty sequence and bring in just your green screen icon. You don't want to key it with green screen anyway so figure out a different way to do that. Export the graphic using Animation codec or as TIFF or PNG to preserve the alpha. IMport it. Is the line still there?

Trying to make a disc.img from an iMovie project get the mssage that some of the audio clips are not available. The clips still show as green bars in the project but do not play.

I successfully made a disc.img and then burned a DVD of the project but found an error in a title. Went back to the project, corrected the error, and tried to create a new disc.img but got the message that some of the audio tracks were unavailable. They still show as green bars in the project but do not play. Tried deleting and reinstalling them with no success. They do play in iTunes and in the iMovie editing pane

EV Green Bar not working in latest FF, works in IE and Chrome

I just purchased a new EV certificate from Entrust and installed in on my website. Now with IE and Chrome I get the nice green bar, but FF shows a blue bar and says "which is run by unknown".

Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption > Validation.
At least you must to check
"Use the Online Certificate....".
For change to be accepted restart firefox. Simply reloading page is not enough.
