Speed Issues during Prime Time

Over the last two months my speed during primetime hours 4 pm to around midnight have degraded drastically.  During these hours I typically get 1mbs, during the rest of the hours from midnight to around 4 again, I get the full 7mbs that I pay for.  I thought DSL wasn't supposed to have these problems and it was typical for cable companies.  I would really like this to be resolved as it wasn't always like this and now its to the point where its unacceptable.  I've tried removing my router and connecting both my pc and my mac directly to the dsl during these times incase it was some sort of virus issue, and that didn't solve my problem.  Not really sure what to do.
So to summerize
-Slow internet speeds in primetime hours 4  pm to 12 am PST
-Problem has only been happening in the past three months but has been getting noticeably worse recently.
-4pm internet speed drops to 1mbs at midnight goes back to the 7 mbs I pay for and stays that way until around the same time the next day.
Tried hooking up modem to both a pc and a mac and removing the router during these slow periods as well as restarting the modem with no positive result.
The modem I have is a Westell G90610015-20 Rev E.
Router is a netgear but again this happens with or without the router.
Speedtest numbers during these times agree with it, and when I check the modem connection setting it still says I'm at 7000+ down so I'm not exactly sure whats wrong.

  • Re: Slow Speed During Prime Time

I moved to a property connected to the Leith Exchange from the Newington one. Since then I have noticed a considerable deterioration in my download speed. Netflix will often be very pixelated and other video steaming will take a while to buffer.
This is inconsistent but does seem to struggle more at peak times.

Which part of the log is it you are after? It goes back for as far as I can see but the last few lines are:

It is possible that any problem you are currently, or had previously experienced may have been caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or by the server you were accessing responding slowly.
If you continue to encounter a problem with a specific server, please contact the administrator of that server in the first instance.
I'm not sure about the socket, there is the main socket in the cupboard in the hallway with the option to send it anywhere in the property by connecting it to the corresponding socket. See photo:
    http://imgur.com/VVWXqur
I cannot connect directly to this socket as their is no power in the cupboard (helpful!). In the living room there is just a normal faceplate where I then have the filter connected then the broadband.
I also do not have a landline to do the quiet line test with.

  • Massive speed drop during peak time!!

    Hi,
I recently switched over to BT broadband (3/11/2014) and unfortunately I have been having some major issues with download speeds during peak times. Off peak times I usually register download speeds of around 12-14Mbps, which is great, but during peak hours (11:00-14:00 and 18:00-22:00) my download speed drops to anywhere between 0.01-1.0Mbps, even on a wired connection. I fully expect speeds to drop during these hours (even though BT claimed on their website that they wouldn’t) but in no way should they even be this slow surely. The internet is completely unusable when the speeds drop as pages can take several minutes to load and I am currently paying for Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions that I simply can’t use because videos or streams will not load, they just constantly buffer!
I have been in contact with the online help chat with this issue and they simply recommended that I reset my router, and whilst this temporarily fixed the issue for a few hours, my problem soon returned. Since then I have not touched the router in over 10 days in the hope that the speeds would start to settle, and whilst off-peak times have improved, peak times are no better than before, and in some cases worse.
I have been patient and given the router and provider 3 weeks to settle down, but I am seeing absolutely no signs of improvement. As I said, I understand that speeds may drop during peak hours, but as it stands I’m basically losing my internet during this time. I’m starting to wonder what it is I’m paying for. I had no such trouble with my previous provider during peak hours, so I’m not sure why there is suddenly a problem.
I am using the Home Hub 4, and here are my ADSL Stats and my test results from Sunday evening (23/11/14):
    13:58:12, 23 Nov.  ( 81.290000) DSL noise margin: 5.60 dB upstream, 6.10 dB downstream
    13:58:11, 23 Nov.  ( 80.240000) DSL line rate: 1152 Kbps upstream, 15576 Kbps downstream
    18:55:08, 23 Nov.  ( 81.160000) DSL noise margin: 6.50 dB upstream, 6.10 dB downstream
    18:55:07, 23 Nov.  ( 80.100000) DSL line rate: 1104 Kbps upstream, 15288 Kbps downstream
After a network test on my xbox one (wired connection) I got the following:
    7.05pm
    Download speed: 0.34Mbps
    Upload speed: 0.88 Mbps
    7.20pm
    Download speed: 0.05Mbps
    Upload speed: 0.87 Mbps
    Speedtest result:
I have tried to get a result from the BT Speed checker, but my internet won’t even load it as of around 7-8pm
During the week I have been browsing the forums in an attempt to locate a possible solution and I came across this thread in which the original poster describes a problem very similar to mine. It seems that switching their line at the exchange to a less congested one seemed to alleviate the problem?
    https://community.bt.com/t5/ADSL-Copper-Broadband-Speed/Slow-Peak-time-broadband/m-p/1111272/highlig...
Anyway, hopefully someone can help address and solve these issues as I’m starting to get a bit frustrated and beginning to regret my decision to switch providers.
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Ben

  • Index creation during prime time

In a production environment, where a table is accessed by online users, can an index be created on the table at the same time ? I mean, will this affect performance and is it only performance that is affected. Insert, Delete, update and select operations will be performed by users at the time. Which of these areas will be affected and are there any other potential issues ? (The table is a partitioned table with 30 partitions)
    Thanks

404045, it would have been nice if you would have mentioned the version of Oracle you are working with and what kind of table the index is being built on: heap, IOT, partitioned, non-partitioned.
As Vivek mentioned you can add the index online if you have version 9+ otherwise as Syed said the create index operation will require an exclusive lock on the table and hold up all DML. More than likely if the table is busy you will not be able to get the lock to run the create index.
From a couple of tests Online index create and rebuild operations definitely affect the performance of DML operations on the base table and these DML operations definitely affect the time it takes for the index to build.

  • Prime-time Performance Issues

I'm paying for Quantum Internet service 75/35, but lately I'm noticing that watching AppleTV and Netflix in the evenings is getting hard to do. It seems like between 9:30 and 10:30pm EST my FiOS performance is getting really bad. This causes shows to halt/buffer multiple times and is souring the entire viewing experience.
Here's my ususal (daytime) performance using Verizon's own speed test tool, which is what I expect:
And here's what I've been getting at night, about 3Mb/s or sometimes less:
As you would imagine, this is causing large buffering delays as I'm trying to stream HD content.
I know I can try to reduce image quality to minimize required bandwidth, but that's not the point; this is NOT the Internet service I'm paying for.
Please note that my AppleTV device is HARD WIRED to my FiOS router. Also note that I am not using the FiOS router's on-board WiFi; that's turned off and I am serving WiFI in my house via two HARD WIRED Apple devices (a time capsule and an AirPort Express). I am seeing this performance on all devices in my house at these times, whether they are wired or wireless. Also note that I'm getting this test from Verizon's own site, which is hitting their own servers, which means that the interface between Apple, Amazon, Netflix, etc. and Verizon shouldn't have any bearing on the issue.
Of course all calls to support have been about resetting my router, rebooting the ONT, etc. and nothing is getting better. I am trying to tell Verizon that they need to test the performance/capacity of their MAN/WAN infrastructure, but the agent can't do that, and can't even do a loopback speed test through my router to confirm or refute the performance I'm seeing.
I don't know what else to do at this point, so I'll put it to the community. It looks like a lot of other people are seeing issues aligning with evening (i.e. prime time download) hours and I'm wondering if Verizon has oversold their capacity in my area (Tampa FL). They may have the fibers that can deliver a gig to each house, but if they don't have the router bandwidth and the backhaul bandwith to actually support it out to their network edge, it's a moot point.
Is there any way I can get someone's attention in the network engineering team at Verizon? At this point they either know they have a major issue and don't want to admit it, or have a local failure (bad PON card, loose connector, overloaded internediate router, etc) that they have yet to diagnose. The call center staff doesn't seem to know how to get to the bottom of this.

    Hi JDinTampa,
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Slow network speed during peak times

I have begun experiencing very slow network speeds in the evening.  My Mifi and other devices go from routinely getting 10 MBS down to 1 MBS in the evening.   Is there any way to address this?

        Rickrdn1,
Thank you for all of the detailed information.  The coverage in the area looks great.  All of your devices seem to drop in speeds at the same time?  How is voice and text working during these times?  The coverage in the area looks great, but can still be affected by congestion at peak times of usage. We may want to investigate your area further with a remedy ticket.

  • Broadband Speed Issues

I've been having an issue for the last few weeks with my broadband speed, as it has suddenly become very slow. I contacted the BT broadband support and they did some tests on the line and they came back fine. I then moved the connection from the master socket to the test socket re-did the speed test and the results were exactly the same as the master socket. So support seemed to think it maybe something to do with the ADSL filters and are going to send me some new ones. The connection is now back in the master socket.
I've done a phone test using a handset and there did not seem to be any interference on the line. So I googled around and started wondering if I'd been banded. I've recently moved (about 6 weeks ago) from BT broadband option 2 to BT Broadband option 3 which could have coincided with when the problem started, but I'm not 100% sure that this is the case. I was thinking maybe I've been banded since moving to option 3. I've not maintained a steady connection since my move to option 3 as my router is switched off every night. So I've now maintained a steady connection (connected to the master socket) for a over a day however the stats show no sign of improvement. I'm going to maintain this connection for 3 days as suggested in other threads to see if the stats improve. I just thought I would post to see if anybody had any other ideas, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've now maintained a connection for over 5 days but still seem to be on a banded profile there does seem to have been some errors and some signal loss but it does not seem to have been enough to have reset the clock. Is there anything else I can do to improve the speed or is it just a case of maintaning a connection until the speed decides to improve?

  • Another Yosemite speed issue

This is yet another Yosemite speed issue. I've done some reading around and read the FileVault can cause an issues, I took a look and I've always have FileVault disabled.  I installed EtreCheck and the results came up with a lot of RED and "FAILED". Unfortunately, I have no clue how to being to read this and was hoping someone could shed some light onto this for me.
Here are my results: (Just trying to right-click and paste this took almost a minute)

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper
        2. AppDelete
        3. Automaton
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller
      10. Spring Cleaning

  • Leopard and CS3 - Are they ready for prime time?

Trying to revive this thread, I manage 130 Macs at an art school and I am starting to research what I am going to do this summer as far as OS and CS versions. Currently we are on 10.4.9 and CS2 and about 15% of our Macs are Intels. I am concerned as I am not hearing good things about Leopard and I am wondering if CS3 is ready for prime time. I should note that stability is my first priority NOT the latest OS and App versions. So the question is are they ready for prime time or should I stay with CS2 and Tiger or should I go CS3 and Tiger.

Summer is a long way off, so hard to guess. I would say that if they don't have the kinks out by then, they probably never will, but still a gamble at this point IMO. I have one of the new Mac Pros (early 2008) w/CS3 Apps installed. I have been using all the below listed apps for the past two weeks without any major problems so far, but I also know that I may be living on the edge right now. I don't feel confident enough to switch to Leopard on my other two computers yet. My restarts on the new machine take about 30-seconds between selecting Restart and ready to start work again (vs about 1.5-2 minutes on my Dual G5). Apps like Photoshop CS3 launch in about 1/3 the time. But all of this speed means absolutely nothing when you slam into an incompatibility - that is the real time trap - I spent the last 8 hours doing nothing but tracking down a Permissions problem in Leopard that none of the utilities will currently fix.
These appear to be working for me so far...
    Photoshop CS3
    Illustrator CS3
    InDesign CS3
    Flash CS3
    Dreamweaver CS3
    Bridge CS3
    Lightroom
    After Effects CS3
    Contribute CS3
    What doesn't work yet...
Acrobat Pro & Acrobat Reader (fix was expected from Adobe last month)
    Other issues encountered so far...
Most Photoshop and After Effects Plugins required paid upgrades to function in Leopard/CS3 (over $1500 for me the past week)
Monitor calibrator software (such as Artisan) dead with no fixes, but to buy all new hardware calibrators/software - again! - another $1000 bucks
I purchased the Silverfast Leopard upgrade ($105) to get the Epson 4870 scanner plugin to work with Photoshop CS3, but having problems - I think it is a Leopard problem
Adobe UPDATES menu item is dimmed out in all CS3 apps.
Having lots of Leopard User Permissions problems - hopefully 10.5.2 will help?

  • BT Infinity 2 Speed Issues

Got BT Infinity 2 installed on November 14th 2013 & since then I've had two periods where the speed appears to drop to that of Infinity 1 speeds, but the upload generally remains in the region of Infinity 2 speeds.

Here are my speed test results via http://www.speedtest.net/
    35.44Mbps Download & 18.63Mbps Upload with a ping of 27ms
Have already phoned BT about the issue the first time, when they told me to reset the modem, this was despite the service not having been active for 10 days & I was under the impression that you are supposed to leave it to acheive best speed. I have saw the connection wirelessly get about 63Mbps down & 18/19Mbps up for several days at a time.
The problem seems to be, its running at a speed where browsing is generally always fast enough. I am only catching that the connection speed is essentially half of what it should be when I run speed checks via several speed checking websites including BT's own.
I have read the problem of Christmas lights, & at least in my home for now, I can eliminate that as the cause. I don't have any Christmas decorations/lights up just now. Just wondering if there is anything that could explain why I am getting such low download speeds, but the upload remains on Infinity 2 levels, when previously I know the connection can run a lot lot faster.
Any help advice would of course be greatly appreciated.

Just restarted my Home Hub 5 & this is the result from the internal Hub manager.

Not quite the dizzy heights of 70Mbps I've seen before, a little improvement which I've also saw before upon a restart/reset. Just wondering what the issue is with the speed dropping. When I have BT Broadband with the Home Hub 3, I never had any issues with speed, it connected & was rock solid. Already regretting upgrading to BT Infinity 2 as when you don't seem to check the speed you are getting, it seems to drop. Only noticable when you actually run a speed check to see if you are actually getting what you are paying for.
Surely I shouldn't need to keep resetting/restarting my Home Hub 5? I know its bad for the connection & to be honest I think its an issue with BT's new installation of FTTC cabinets in my area. The engineer changed my telephone socket face plate over, so its a filtered socket at the main line. No other phones in the house have filters on them as they are no longer needed, so I'm just looking for answers as to why I'm seemingly not getting anywhere near the speed I am paying for (I know with the internet speeds can vary, but its been twice now in about a month I've caught this connection running at just over 30Mbps, when its happily ran before at nearer 70Mbps).
Hopefully the further tests/results can shed some light on this for someone more knowledgable.
Thanks again for the replies so far & of course for any further help/advice with regards this issue.

  • Slow Internet during Peak Times

Hi I am actually a Sky customer but because of living in a rural area everything is done through the BT lines.
I'v known for awhile that if you are downloading or using p2p programms through peak times, your internet is slowed during peak times intentionally by BT, which I have no problem with, and since I am a Sky customer but working through the BT lines this also effects me.
    However...
The internet is getting slowed down even though no downloads are occuring during peak times, I am the only one in my house that uses downloads (parents just use facebook), whenever I do download it is for games on steam, but now I just do them at another house because...
    1) 10mb internet isn't all that great for downloading large files I would rather not leave my PC on for 2 nights just to download a game
    2) I can go to a friends house and use theirs and not be effected by the peak time limit, and download at a very high speed
My step brother uploads videos to youtube, and when he does them, its usually about 12AM before he goes to sleep, and never during the peak times, that is the upmost most stress that happens in terms of our internet traffic.
The internet slows down at exactly 5:15PM to 11:15PM, every single day, and during this time the internet is pretty much unusable, even to browse web pages, watching videos on youtube(in lowest quality 240p) or playing xbox/pc/ps3 is stictly a nono.
This is a quote from a rather basic forum page
"Total time taken to generate the page: 61.17250 seconds"
Even google takes an abnormally long time to load.
I phoned Sky and they said they cannot do anything as it is BT owns the lines and I should expect a call from BT soon, they did phone, but I was not in, and have never had a phone call again.
I am just wondering how can I resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Stefan

  • Speed Issues

    Greetings and Salutations,
I'm having speed issues with my Adobe AIR application. From what I've read on the web, AIR is supposed to be fast at drawing graphics. I am writing an application which has multiple screens. On one of the screens I have a tab (SuperNavigator) which has a canvas on it. That canvas has a series of other canvases (built with a repeater) that have graphics in them. I am having speed issues when I have more than 50 of these children canvases. I've tried running it without the graphics (code below is without the graphics) to see how it performs. When I have 954 of these canvases being drawn it takes about 2.5 minutes to draw. This is unacceptable and I'm wondering if this is something I've induced or if AIR was never meant to handle such a large amount of canvases (actually this isn't a large amount, in a real world environment there could be a lot more). I've included relevant clips from the code. There are a couple empty boxes that in the real application will hold graphics.
The class withing the Tab Navigator is a canvas.
In the action Script (the setter line takes 2.5 minutes to get past) (it's binding to the repeater that seems to be my problem).

The Canvas is a very heavy object that has lots of overhead.  Even worse is the VBox object that is in there multiple times.
What exactally are you trying to accomplish?  Just looking over the code, it seems that the same could be done directly with the Graphics API, at a much faster rate.
For each of the VBoxes and Canvases you have, the entire size of each child and parent need to be re-evalulated each time you add or change something.  This is a HUGE overhead, and probably why the app is running so slow.  You may need to convert this app to use simpler objects (UIComponent or something lower-level like that) to get any speed.
Are you using Flex Bulder?  Take a look at the app while the Profiler is running to see what I'm talking about.

  • Disconnections and Speed Issues.

To start off, our BT Internet connection has been fine for years, not a problem at all, speeds weren't high, but they were modest and certainly enough for my needs, and there weren't really any major problems, just the occasional maintenance work interfering with it and other minor things...
Until the past 6 months that is, it happened it seemed for an alternating monthly period, on and off the quality would just drop ridiculously.
There would be disconnects and <1Mbps speeds (is that even broadband?), and just where we got to the point where we were going to call up, suddenly it would go back and become even better.
Sometimes going as high as 18Mbps which was unheard of for our area, until it crashed down again, this cycle happened until just over a month ago when it got a lot worse.
It started off the internet would disconnect and reconnect at a random speed, ranging from really low, to modestly high, and then a new symptom came into play, everytime a device connected to the router, the router would drop the connection and try reconnecting, it wasn't random anymore, we now know when it's going to disconnect.
Everytime my brother walks into the house with his smartphone automatically seeking our wireless connection, it drops.
Everytime someone powers up a PC that's on a wired connection, you guessed it! It drops the connection
Far more annoyingly though, everytime someone walks past the house and connects to our BT FON source, it drops (which I'd like to point out, at the time we had a Home Hub 1.0 and the BT FON was automatically always on and couldn't be disabled, a nice feature for our problem -_-)
We called up the technicians after this started, and they tried to diagnose the problem, and I use the word tried loosely.
Instructions were basically unplug the internet, plug it back in, and change the filter.
We did manage to wrangle a BT Home Hub 3 into our hands though, the morning it arrived we cradled our saviour, delicately placing it on the desk top, preparing to worship it's blessing of providing us with hassle-free internet at last..
But it was not to be, set it up, everything fine! Brother walks in from work.. and I'm sure you know how the rest goes..
Humourous thing is, it came with a letter from BT saying we're on the up to such and such package (I think it was up to 20mb), it says our average speed should be 12mbps, but we've sat on pretty solidly for the past month 1.5mbps, it's been lower, but I don't think it's been higher...
We've tried the BT Help Phone Lines, they can't seem to help us, so I'm putting this puzzle to a wider audience of people who may have had past experience.
The only theory we have is that it was a BT mistake that they haven't realised, my father saying he saw workmen from BT working on the telephone pylon in our alleyway.
I'd ask our neighbours if they have any problems, but I don't want to get burgled if they find out we can afford internet...
I hope some people on here may be able to shed some insight or advice with how to tackle this problem, I'll say right now, we're paying something like £30 a month (maybe more, I don't get to see the bills) for an internet connection I could buy from a smaller company for £2 a month (1.2mbps average in the past month)
    Thanks in advance, Mike.

  • Iteration Speed issue when Indexing 3D array wried to a while-loop

    Brief Description of my Program:
I am working on the real-time signal generation by using LabView and DAQmx (PCI-6110 card). My vi reads the big data file (typically 8MB txt file containing about 400,000 samples (complex double precision). Then, the signal is pre-processed and I end up with a huge 3D array to feed while-loop (typically 3D array dimension is N x 7 x M where N & M >> 7). Inside the loop, that 3D array is indexed and processed before the results are written to the DAQmx outputs. I have a speed issue when indexing the large 3D array (i.e, 3D array having a large sub-array size). My while-loop could not run fast enough to top-up the DAQmx AO buffer (at the output rate of 96kHz). It could run faster only if I use smaller 3D array (i.e, smaller-sized sub-arrays). I do not quite understand why the size of 3D sub-array affects the rate of looping although I am indexing same sub-array size at each iteration. I really appreciate your comments, advices and helps.
I include my 3D array format as a picture below.
    Question on LabView:
How does indexing an 3D array which wires to the while-loop affect the speed of the loop iteration? I found that large dimension of sub-arrays in the 3D array slows down the iteration speed by comparing to indexing the same size of sub-array from smaller-sized sub-arrays of the 3D array to perform signal processing inside the while-loop. Why? Is there any other way of designing LabView Program to improve speed of iteration?
    attachment:

Thank you all for your prompt replies and your interests. I am sorry about my attachment. But, I have now attached a jpg format image file as you suggested.
I had read the few papers on large data handling such as "LabVIEW Performance and Memory Management". Thus, I had already tried to avoid making unnecessary copies of data and growing arrays in my while-loop. I am not an expert on LabView, so I am not sure if the issues I have are just LabView fundamental limitations or there are any other ways to improve the iteration speed without reducing the input file size and DAQ output rate.
As you request, I also attach my top-level vi showing essential sections such as while-loop and its indexing. The attached file is as an image jpg format because the actual vi including Sub-VIs are as big as 3MB in total. I hope my attachment would be useful for anyone who would like to reply my question. If anyone would like to see my whole vi & llb files, I would be interesting to send it to you by an e-mail privately and thus please provide your e-mail address.
The dimension of my 3D array is N x 7 x M (Page x Row x Column), where N represents number of pages in 3D array, and M represents the size of 1D array.  The file I am currently using forms 3D array of N = 28, & M = 10,731.  Refering to the top-level vi picture I attached, my while-loop indexes each page per iteration and wrap-around.  The sub-VI called "channel" inside the while-loop will further index its input (2D array) into seven of 1D arrays for other signal processsing.  The output from that "channel" sub-VI is the superposition of those seven arrays.  I hope my explaination is clear.
