Speedfan config
i have finally got round to setting up my PC with flashing lights leds etc. Looks good but bthe case is rubbish for changing.
back to the point. I downloaded a config file from the speedfan web site which gives me the following readings : except i have no idea what the temp 52c is supposed to be and the chipset famspeed looks massive
any comments?
What am I trying to achieve with speedfan?
I have almost just finished building my current PC. It has five case fans, Zalman 9500 heatsink and fan plus an Akasa temperature sensor and fan control. Each fan is connected to its own temperature sensor. The only fans not connected to the fan controller the Zalman and the Northbridge fan which are both connected to the motherboard sensors. It is all built in to a clear acrylic case and with all LEDs it looks like something from Close Encounters.
There is not a lot more I can do at this stage to install more hardware from cooling, my next project is to overclock this just out of devilment but I just want to keep my eye on the temperatures inside the case. When I am raising the temperature , I can keep the fan speed turned down because with all these fans going out once it can be a bit noisy. Each fan has its own alarm so that if the hard drives or the case become too hot I can turn the speed up on the fans.
It is way over the top I know but it's fun playing

Speedfan config for P6N SLI Platinum
Would someone please upload their Speedfan config to the Speedfan website if they have configured SF for the P6N SLI Platinum mobo?
Or at least tell me what temp1, temp2 and temp3 and some of the voltages really are? WOuld love to know the NB and SB voltages as they do not seem to match what I have set in the BIOS. Vcore amtches but that is about it.
Also, I have my ram at 1.8V and VRAM always shows as 2.21V - any thoughts?
Thanks, DaveThanks. I like the concept of the Speedfan control mechanism and it was rated very well by this article - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/221745-29-core-quad-temperature-guide. The free Everest has lots of stuff turned off so you have to purchase the Pro version and HWMonitor does not have any mechanism to rename the sensors. I also have TAT, CPU-Z and RealTemp but they are some incomplete.

Alright I just got this board and have been having some problems.
Ok here it goes, I know most of you hate core cell, there for dont' use core center. The problem that I have is when I install this it tells me that my mobo does not support core cell. Well I know it is suppost to, so I don't really care since I am sure utilties such as speedfan will do just as good of a job. The real question here is do I need to get this board replaced because I can not even use corecell? Does it mean that this board is deffective? Should I RMA it. Really though that is my only question. cpu is around 61 c and 66 under load. Everything is cool except the fan is running at 3650 rpm? isn't that fast, cuz its loud as hell. Besides that everything else seems cool, I'm planning on getting a new PSU with more then 17amps on the 12v rail. So bare with me, on the plus side this system has not crashed slowed down or anything runs like a dream. Just doensn't work with most of the provided software.
FYI: I already updated the bios and drivers through the internet so I know they are upto date so please dont tell me to do that since I already did it about a bijillion times.
cpu specs
lga775 intel 3.4ghz prescott
msi neo platinum 925x neo54g
X800 xt pci express
1 gig of corsair mem 677mhz
36.7 gig WD raptor
and a 400watt psu
Anyways let me know if the core cell thing is of something of concern. Also did anyof you configure speedfan to this new mobo, no one seems to support it yet. Also i can't find beta drivers for this board which I heard will fix some of the problems let me know about any of your opinions or similar problems.
Thx
DanI don´t think you have to worrý too much.
It´s a new board and a lot of new technology you´ve got and this new models often comes with some bugs from start which will be fix in nextcomings software and biosversions.
My 865 board started with biosversion 1.0 and now its 2.5, so you can expect a lot of fixes and updates in the future.
Since your system is running fine, there´s no good reason for worries or RMA´s.
Since CoreCell can be a bit buggy, there will probably be a fix for this as well.
Meanwhile, if you still use CC, don´t install / run other alike software at the same time. This could sometimes be confusing.
Don´t know about the speedfan config for the 775 /prescott, but Danny has made a basic config for the 865/875 boards, that you could try.
SpeedFan 4.09/4.11 Configuration for 865/875 Boards
Have you got the latest speedfan version 4.17 ?
http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
About CPU cooling, you could try some aftermarket cpucooler, such as Zalman
CNPS7000B-Cu or Alcu, which has a good cooling with low noise.
As std. they don´t support the 775 socket but with this clip you can mount it on the 775 socket. - ZM-CS1 This Clip Support allows the installation of CNPS7000 series onto Socket 775.
Search on: http://www.zalman.co.kr/
There are some more 775 socket cpu coolers, but some of them are noisy with high fan-speed rmp to keep the prescott cpu cool.
Here´s some other link´s concering prescott cpu thermal issues;

Anyone have definitive config for Neo2 Platinum and Speedfan
I've read almost equivalent posting indicating different info for Temp 1, 2, and 3.
I've got Temp 1 = NB, Temp 2 = CPU, Temp 3 = System.
based on my readings (NB = 14C, CPU = 38C, and System = 34C) the above makes sense. But many people say Temp 3 is the CPU. I can't believe my CPU would be cooler then my system temp, although, I guess it depends on where that temp is read from?
Can anyone confirm 100%?
What about Fans 1, 2, and 3? How do those corrolate to CPU, NB, and SYSFAN and SYSFAN2 on the mobo?
I also have a "Temp" that reads constant -1 C and shows as part of nForce2 SMBUS. What's that?
ALso with the fans, Fan 4 and 5 showing as part of nForce2 SMBUS with no readings. What's with those?Quote

It's just not possible with air cooling that something is lower than ambient temperature. (mine is 30C with a self mounted small fan on the chipset running at 4300rpm , this is about 5C over ambient temperature)
corecentre reads theese two sensors data right .
So does MBM5 5.3.7.0 is setup with wizard and right motherboard chosen.
Make sure that speedfan is setup to monitor :
Sensor Type - Winbond W83627THF (through ISA 290h)
Sensors winbond1 , winbond2-diode
Edit : From your first post :
CPU = 38C, and System = 34C
This is the two real connected sensors , the other with 14/16C is just a bogus reading.
Your last comment, that doesn't make sense with your other posts, because the temp sensors giving me the 34/38 readings are 2 and 3. Well you say only #1/#2 are tied to Winbond with 1=NB and 2=CPU. Well how is it that #1 is giving me bogus readings in Smartfan then?
I looked at the config for the Winbond, sensor 1 = thermistor diode, 2 = PII diode, and 3 = thermistor diode. THis is the defaults it came up with. Is this incorrect? If I change these settings at all I get some 110+ readings. -
Hi I've down loaded speedfan and installed it but cannot find where I can adjust fan speeds! I entered the configuration and clicked the Fan tab but no fans were listed can any one advise please
What did you enter in the configuration?
Click on the INFO tab, click on Send Report.
I think I need to download using "Get Config" on that tab.
Even though it shows chipset as *Intel 631xESB $5000 revision 0...9*
I don't think it has an entry or knows how to probe more than FBDIMM, cpu and hard drive temps, which do seem accurate. And I did create an Event alert if FBDIMM goes over 75C.
From what it reads in on launch:

hi all
im new for this forum, but im not a real newb.. eheh..
i tried the setup for the speedfan.... quite fun to know.. but really strange...
thermistor diode : cpu : idle: 26°C load (prime95) 48°C
sys : ~37-38 (quite hot for my config)
PIIdiode : cpu idle : 38°C load 42°C
sys : 128°C
ok.. lets talk about my fan config... i got an x-gear case so i got a side panel fan intake... i change the fan for a better one and put a tube to get the air directly to the cpu fan (about less than half inch tube-cpufan), i strong 80 mm fan on the back panel.. i already cut the case's grill infront the fan its a intake to (blow inside case) i got a slot fan under my vid card (2 pci slot lower) and a top fan on the top of the case.. i got a psu double fan (aerocool) so its another "outtake" fan over my cpu heatsink... i got 2 hdd ... its a good hot point :P
So what is the trouble??i found 42° a lil low for load temp.. but 26° really low for an idle.. in a 37° case...37 isnt hot for my fan config?
Thx
FrogLook at my signature for the level of detail people want to see in order to help you. Make up a similar signature and that way the info will always be displayed.
I am running a similar configuration to you and I found when I went to AMI 3.3 my temperatures as reported by speedfan and corecenter dropped 10C. I am suspicious of these numbers because my case heat sensors of it's own and it reports higher. If you use corecenter it seems to report about 3-4C higher than speedfan.
I guess as long as you are not overheating, the values reported can be viewed as a cohesive set and you can monitor and set fan speeds based upon changes.Thats what I do.
My case has a lot of fans (7) and as a result maybe our numbers don't quite compare, but what I see is about like this:
Idle: 19-40C depending upon room temperature and how long the system has been running.
loaded: 48-55C and the fans start cranking when this happens.
My case (system?) temperature never is as hot as the CPU.
Finally...let me restate...I distrust the numbers ever since I went to AMI 3.3, but even before then I never saw the CPU go over 65C and I wrote Intel support and they told me that prescott temperatures were within spec as long as it was under 69C.
I don't think this answered your question, but maybe this will help. -

I think speedfan reads well my GPU's temperature, 39ºC in 2d mode, the same that I had saw in 3d turbo experience.
I'd noticed that speedfan show 2 temperatures, the first for GPU and the second for memory?? I don't know.

I'm an ABAPer so forgive if my question is not clear to you SD guys. We are having an issue with creation of orders and the functional consultant might be new to this problem.
I read several threads here regarding the config.
1) I checked transaction VOV4 for OR-NORM-FREE-TAN-TANN. it's there
2) Checked material master MM03 / Sales Org. 2 for category group. Group of material is NORM.
3) Checked free goods determination in VBN3 for Customer-Material combination, there's a value there and is valid from 12/22/2008 to 12/31/9999 (valid indefinitely)
But when we try to create an order in VA01, using the same customer and material (from number 3) and set the item category of the material to TANN, the system automatically changes it to TAN.
(On the technical side) I checked the exits MV45AFZZ and MV45AFZB and there is no routine there that does the change from TANN to TAN so we're convinced that this is caused by some config.
Can anyone help? How can the item stay as TANN (without having to retype. When it is retyped, it's like the item category is being forced into the system, right?)?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
What I undersatnd is , you want INCLUSIVE free good sdetermination.
For example, for every 10 units 2 units are free. That means 20% free goods.
If Customer has ordered for 10 units then he has to pay for 8 units and 2 units will be free of charge.
In standard, the free goods condition type is NA00 (with item generation).
So, you need to create the Condition record for NA00 in transaction VBN1 and specify the free quntity properly.
In standard, the Pricing Procedure for free goods determination is NA0000.
You need to assign this procedure to the Sales Area in which you want to create the Sales Order (V/N6).
Now, when you will create an order for the above material say M1 for 10 units, system will split it as two line items.
First line item, M1 -
8 units -
TAN (system will calculate price for this item).
Second line item, M1----
2 units -
TANN (no pricing, it is 100% free).
You need not have to specify the Item category mannually.
For the first item (Main item), system will automatically take the Item category as TAN and for the 2nd item (sub-item) item category will be TANN.

Fairly new to cisco ASA 5505 - Can someone look through my config?
Hi.
Can some one tell me if I did the NAT part right? Both dynamic and static.
To be able to reach one vlan from another I created a Nat between them, is this the right way to do it?
I can still limit the access between the vlans based on the access list.
I also getting slow throughput over the VPN tunnel. Is there something wrong with my config. I used the wizard to set it up. There is also a cisco asa5505 on the other end.
If there is some thing else that seems wrong, please let me know.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated!

: endI was just wondering if this is the way to do the "connection" between vlans.. or should it be routed?
The traffic between the vlan is working as intended. There are not much traffice only some RDP connection and some printing jobs.
But i'm getting some of these errors: (not alle like this, but portmap translation creation failed)
305006 192.168.10.200 portmap translation creation failed for udp src Vlan460-SuldalHotell:192.168.2.112/59133 dst Vlan490-QNapBackup:192.168.10.200/161

Office 2013 - OSD - Specify different config xml
Hi Guys
I want to deploy Office 2013 in different languages to different users. It seems there are a few ways to do this. But I am thinking I want to package all languages I need into one Office install package and then in the task sequence have groups for countries.
Each country has a variable to specify which config.xml to use. Is this possible or is there a better way?
(I just need to know how to point to the correct xml in the package, kind of like the unattend file) I know the rest if this is the way.
ie.
-France
---ConfigFR.xml
-Germany
---ConfigGe.xml
Sweden
---ConfigSE.xml
Thanks
NNHi
I know the original question has been answered, but I have a follow up question.
I am deploying Windows 8.1 Update using custom variables to install Windows language packs and Office Language packs dynamically based on rules. Running just one language works fine. But if I have a multiple language package deployed to Windows the
Office DTs do not pick this up (each DT is currently working of one language per DT and using operating system language to install the correct xml).
See here:
These are the DTs
After doing a bit more reading. I now know I need to setup the rules differently. Can I set the rules to be English and Swedish install DT1, and English and Romanian install DT 2, English alone install DT 3 etc?
I basically need an "AND" rule.
thanks again

Possible to have two login configs in same web app?
Sorry for not having tried this first, my server and webapp are in a state
of flux at this moment, but I wanted to see what the consensus is out there,
not just whether I can or cannot make something work quickly.
If I have two types of things that might be called in my Web App (WAR) in
different ways (eg, browser accessing via HTTP by users that want to login
via pretty forms, and SOAP clients that may access functionality through the
same servlets (but with alternate Servlet Path Info after the servlet name
in the URL)), is there ANY way I can have multiple login configs, each tied
to a different security constraint within that web app?
In other words, with a servlet of /frazzleblitz and security constraints
like:
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Foo</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/frazzleblitz/doFooBar</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>FoobarBrowserUsers</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
and the SOAP constraint (for all users of incoming SOAP requests):
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Foo</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/frazzleblitz/doFooBar</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>FoobarBrowserUsers</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>
where my frazzleblitz controller knows whether the incoming request is
browser vs SOAP based by the path info after the servlet name
Can I associate the first security constraint with a FORM based login
config, and the second security constraint with a BASIC AUTH login config
since I could in theory require SOAP clients to send in credentials in a
HTTP BasicAuth header, but I can't expect a SOAP client to be HTTP
Redirected to a login form and then to enter the right credentials into a
user type form and then be redirected back to an app...
Seems to me the J2EE Security spec is really lacking in the area of
programmatic authentication (allowing my SOAP code to get credentials out of
the request envelope and call an API to login myself). Yeah, WebLogic has
the ServletAuthentication weak() API, but these apps need to be J2EE
compliant and work across J2EE servers... Anybody know of any improvements
coming in the J2EE security space to address such functionality needs?
Thanks in advance
MikeSorry, hit send accidentally before finishing the second security
constraint - I've fixed it up below to reflect what I meant...

Using a variable in Struts config, to redirect
In the struts-config file,
to redirect to a different site, I can use
redirect="true"
and mention full path, in my <forward path=
variable.
1. Is there a better way to do it?
2. Since I have to do it in multiple places, is it possible to use a variable? I mean, something like this
<forward
name="success"
path="URL/abc.html" />
Where URL is a variable name that the site path? This way, I can reuse the variable to redirect to other pages too (xyz.html, for example)Hi there,
I don't know...is there only one URL you are using ore are there more than one? Because if it's the same path everytime you can try using this:
<forward
name="success"
path="./abc.html" />
./ // This is the shortcut for the directory you are currently using.
../ // This is the shortcut for the directory above the one you are currently using.This code should do it. If not, try to create a var named for example "vpath" and put it like this:
<forward
name="success"
path=vpath+"abc.html" />Try and tell if it worked ;)

Error while running config.sh to configure OIM 11.1.1.5.0
Hi
I have installed all the required SW to run OIM 11.1.1.5.0
- DB 11.2.0.1
- WLS 10.3.5.0
- RCU 11.1.1.5.0
- SOA 11.1.1.5.0

I was able to create the WLS domain and to start the AdminServer.
But when I try to run *~oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/bin/config.sh* to configure OIM, I get an error in the UI.
If I look at the the log file, I see this error:

I have figured it out.
I had to create few symbolic links under $HOME/Middleware
In particular Oracle_IDM1
The config.sh script is setting ORACLE_HOME based on pwd.
And pwd is returning the path of the linked directory and not $HOME/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1
Once I fixed the script to simple use the correct ORACLE_HOME, it finishes correctly -
HP LaserJet p1102w with Mac OS X10.6.8 HTML config issue
Hello,
I have been using this printer for a few years now and have moved house a few times and successfully updated the wireless settings on the printer through HTML config. Lately, in printer utilities the HTML config button does not show up where it is meant to.
I have installed / uninstalled the latest firmware, software drivers, printers and made sure they were platform specific.
This is really annoying.
Is there old software available for download? it was working fine until the recent update - which I did so I could use the eprint features.
Best regards
Costas
Printer:
HP LaserJet p1102w, Firmware datacode = 20130213
Computer:
Macbook white, late 2008 model: 2.4Ghz Core2Duo, 4G RAM with OS X 10.6.8From the name of the printer, it looks like you have it installed through a USB connection.
Here is what I would. First go into “System Preferences” and then select either “Print & Scan” or "Print & Fax".
Right click (or control + click) on the rectangle listing your printers and then select “Reset Printing System”.
NOTE: This will delete all printers.
After you have reset the printing system, let's make sure you have the most recent HP driver package installed.
You can download it here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL907/en_US/HPPrinterDrivers2.14.dmg
Once you have downloaded the driver package and completed the installation, go into your print settings under System Preferences > Print & Scan. To add the printer, click the plus (+) sign. You should see your printer listed here. If not, click "Add Printer or Scanner." Click the name of your printer and then click "Use:” box. Make sure that says the name of your printer and not AirPrint. Next make sure that the printer "Kind:" is set to Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction. Click "Add" down in the bottom right hand corner.
This will add your printer back using the most recent HP print driver available through Apple. Let me know if this helps resolve your issue or not. If it doesn't, let me know I will see what else I can do.
Best of luck,
Kyle
