Speedgrade constantly crashing when switching to Looks view !
Speedgrade constantly crashing when trying to work with .mov files from Canon 5D mk2. The crash happens when I switch to looks view !!! I haven't been able to try anything on Speedgrade yet. My Machine is Intel [email protected], 32GB Ram, Quadro 600.
I have a similar issue. I have tried both footage from the Canon xh-a1 (after it has been converted to quicktime) as well as footage from the Canon 5D Mark 2. I can color grade the footage, add masks etc, but as soon as I try to render out the footage the program crashes. I can watch the file being created in the folder that I select. The render gets to 100% completed and then the file disapears and Speedgrade crashes. Very frustrating.

DW CS5 crashes when switching to split view
I have just checked other comments in the forum but none seem to really fit the issue. The moment I use the code for a page and switch to split view, DW crashes. It works perfectly with smaller HTMLs (e.g. HTML emails) but starts playing up as soon as I try to work on the code for a page.
Any solutions.. ?
Thanks!This is a long standing bug, that for some reason Adobe can't seem to fix. It started with CS4, and remains in CS5. Typically when looking at certain .aspx pages, when switching from design view to split view Dreamweaver will crash. Anyway, thanks to some investigation back in CS4, and a keen Dreamweaver user (jplaguna) we can all get back to working normally. I thought I would repost this for anyone struggling with the issue.
The problem is with Dreamweaver's "Translators" - whatever those are? Anyway, you simply rename that folder and your problems go away.
Sorry to hear that you've been having this problem. I'm glad that you found a way to work around the problem.
Translators are the code that recognizes certain pieces of server-side code so that you can select and manipulate them in DW. Turning them off disables features like Server Behaviors. Also, you can be more strategic by simply renaming the Translator for ASP.Net here:
c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\configuration\Translators\ASP.Net.htm
Rename it to something like:
ASP.Net.disable_htm
Then you'll need to restart DW. This will disable the Translator for only ASP.Net, not all of the other Server Models.
Can you post a .zip file with a page that causes the crash? I didn't see one in the original forum thread.

Dreamweaver CC crashes when switching from code view to design view
I am experiencing a recent problem with a file I am currently working. When I switch from code view to design view Dreamweaver crashes and requests a shut down. Other files seem to work without a problem. This particular files has 3 cascading EdgeAnimation CC files that are selected by media queries. I can test the page online without a problem but not in design or live view.
Since your new page didn't crash, this leads me to believe that you have some critical errors and/or conflicts in your other page(s).
Try running your code through the W3C validation tools.

Calendar has started crashing when switching to month view?
I have an iPad with iOS 7.1.1. This morning the calender started crashing every time I went to the month view. It is fine in day view. Stranly, Planner Plus app is doing the same thing? It seems something that both apps use is causing it to crash. Has anyone seen this or have advice.
I am an Apple newbie. I have had my iPad for six months and my iPhone for two. I am still finding my way around the system.
JohnJames, I am not sure what you mean by signing in and out of those accounts? The Calendar cannot be deleted and reinstalled. I haven't tried to delete the Planner Plus one yet. I have a lot of notes in it that I really don't want to lose.
I have talked with Apple and after trying a reset, they want me to wipe the pad clean. This will be the second time in the six months that I have had the iPad. I find it more than a bit frustrating when, I can't even just back up the data to my computer and reinstall it. I have done a backup in iTunes but, as I understand it, iTunes did not back up the 20 gbs of data, music, photos, and pdfs which are installed on the iPad through 3rd party apps like Bongiovi, Good Reader, and Docs to Go.
At the moment, I am sorry I bought into Apple's BS. At least when Windows crashed, I had a full backup I could install. I don't recall these issues with my Android pad either. My experience with Apple so far has been mostly a PITA.

AE 2014.2 crash when switching preview panel with Matrox
I newly bought a pc with Matrox M9138 card, and using it for professional use. All works fine, except for Adobe After Effects CC 2014.2: it simply crashes when switching between the Preview-panel and Render-Cue panel.
When I look in AE preferences under Video-preview > Mercury transmit doesn't even show that there is a Matrox-card. The only option there is Adobe DV. So, I guess AE doesn't find and even makes use of my Matrox card.
Technical info:
Windows Version: 8.1
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU, 3.6 GHz
RAM: 16GB
Type: 64bits
Matrox M9138 LP PCIex16
Driver version 2.4.3.2 (4.4.3.2) for Win 8-64bit
Adobe CC After effects 2014.2
After Efects error: "Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <816><ae.blitpipe><2> Making New Context"
First I installed the Matrox driver, and then Adobe CC, but After effects crashed when switching between preview-panel and render-cue-panel (No Matrox recognition in AE preferences > Mercury transmit)
Now I did it in other order:
- I removed Adobe CC (AE included) and all parts
- Did extra checkup removal with Adobe CC cleaner
- Removed the Matrox driver
- Restarted PC
- Reinstalled Adobe CC with AE
- Reinstalled Matrox Driver
- Restarted PC
- matrox fully installed and working perfectly (no errors in Display Adapters info).
But still, After effects crashed (Still no Matrox recognition in AE preferences > Mercury transmit)
I contacted Matrox technical support, and as I suspected, they say they haven't had this problem before and all works fine.

My graphics card did not supported the "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Open CL)". You can change it into "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" in your Project Settings.
But this is in the wrong place in my opinion. Why not in "Edit/Preferences"? I could've changed it by myself but I did not find the menu.

Close out of the camera app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your camera roll again. -
Why is my keynote crashing when i try to view in the light table?
My Keynote presentation crashes when I try to view it in the light table view, and the whole system has to be restarted. The file is not huge, only 54 slides, mostly graphics and video plus a little bit of text. It is under 1GB in size, which I can usually manage without issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone know of a solution or a workaround? I'd be so grateful for any help. Thanks!
Try this maintenance routine which has solved quite a few issues:

Close all applications

Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download

empty the trash
4
shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired
5
go to; Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility > First Aid > Repair Disc Permissions
when this is completed restart the Mac normally

Reinstall Keynote using the original discs or logging into the Mac App Store and installing from there.

Dreamweaver CC constantly crashing when working with BC
Hi,
Dreamweaver CC is constantly crashing when working with BC. I had lots of contact with the support, my issue is at tier2 already, I had telephone-support several times, we had lots of possible solutions. Nothing worked.
DW CC is crashing as often as CS6 did and it only happened when working with a BC-site. Whenever uploading to BC, there is a 30% chance that DW crashes. When having stopped working with DW for a few minutes (like doing something in PS) DW crashes in every case. 100%. As this must have something to do with BC, I urgently beg to check the integration of BC into DW or check the connection-mode.
Here are my Specs:
- iMac with latest OS
- Adobe CC (latest )
- German
-DSL 1500 b/sec-connection
I tried saving the sites root folder on a NAS and on local harddrive. I tried with or without german Umlaute , no difference.
Sometimes I can cancel the upload-message and redo, then its working (75%).
As I seem to be the only one having this problem, I completely reinstalled the system and CC, but the problem still exists.
I would really appreciate any help or support from Adobe, although I must say, they already did a lot, but unfortunately my problem is not solved.
By the way, several dialogs with "dont show message again"-ckeckboxes simply come again, no matter whether box is checked or not.
Writing uppercase I (shift-I) insert content of clipboard and writes an uppercase I. (weird?)I have had the same problem.

After our telephone conversation:
I deleted all sites.
I have completely deleted all versions of Dreamweaver, deleted all preference files and reinstalled Dreamweaver CC.
It's still happening, so I will be back to them tomorrow.

ITunes 11 crashes when switching from Artist to Song View

I search for an artist within my library using the search function, Artists View is automatically selected displaying the artist, then when I try to switch to Song View, Boom, iTunes just disappears and seconds later the well-known message comes up "iTunes crashed, do you want to cancel...send...reopen?".
Anyone else has this issue? I do have a large music library, and I am using iTunes 11.1.5 in 10.9.2.Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—again, the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful. -
Speedgrade CC crashes when I try to save a custom "look"
While colorgrading in Speedgrade, whenever i save a custom look, the program immediately crashes? I can color grade all day but the moment I save a look, it crashes. How can I fix this?
It would be nice to have a listing of your hardware and the sequence settings & content you're working with ... please!
OS/CPU/RAM/GPU/vRAM, specific build of SpeedGrade, whether in Direct LInk using a PrPro project file or "native mode" using an ircp SpeedGrade project file, the nature of the footage/other assets used on the timeline, AND ... any effects applied to the footage by either PrPro or any other program PLUS any plug-ins you may have in either SpeedGrade and/or (if a Direct from PrPro project) in Premiere Pro.
Yes, all of that can be quite useful in puzzling these things out. So often when asked to provide info, the response will be to provide what seems to make sense and NOT to provide the rest that is asked for. What may make sense to us users and what actually has affects on the operation of the program is often not at all congruent. There've been a number of threads over the past couple years where it didn't seem logical to the OP to list the fact that they'd used Boris or Nuke or PluralEyes or something on a clip or sequence or pre-processed the footage in some other third-party application before using it in SpeedGrade.
And after a couple weeks or rather agitated wrangling, a techie asked if perchance they'd used "X" or perhaps even just had it loaded in PrPro (but not used it on the clips). "Well, yes, but what's that got to do with my problem here?" ... and as it turned out, it had everything to do with the problem. Had the original response listed that item much time & angst would have been saved.
It may not apply in this case. But it might.

Cs4 dreamweaver suddenly crashes when selecting code/split view
i have looked around and found this issue in older posts from 2008 but have not found a resolution. i've had dw cs4 for mac for a several months and all of a sudden it started crashing when i select code/split view.
i have:
deleted prefs
deleted config folder and .dat file
started up in safe mode and new user mode
no other issues with any other adobe apps or crashing in general
have plenty of memory
got rid of extensions
i feel like it is a corrupted file that is doing it unfortunately i dont have my original disk on hand to reinstall right now (purchased cd instead of download). UGH!
i'm running: snow leopard / 10.6.4 / 2x2.66 ghz dual core intel xeon / 7gb memory

Premiere Pro crashes when scrolling in Icon View
Dear Adobe Community,
My Premiere Pro CC crashes EVERY TIME when I switch to Icon View from List View, almost as soon as I start scrolling through the Icons/thumbnails.
I have all the latest updates for my Mac, Premiere Pro CC and my nVidia CUDA drivers. Also, my Renderer is set at the CUDA setting.
I would greatly appreciate someone's help. Thank you in advance.
