  • CRM 7.0 Email Spell Check

    Hello all,
Iu2019m currently working on an upgrade project.  My client is upgrading  from CRM 4.0 to CRM 7.0.  During the upgrade we are implementing Email for CRM and my client is looking for auto spell checker to scan the body of the email.  My client does not want their agent to have to push a button to activate the spell check but just auto underline the incorrect works, like in Microsoft products.  My client is using the Web IC functionality of CRM 7.0.   I was hoping someone could recommend a third party vendor since SAP CRM does not do it.

    Hi Eric,
Check if John Burton's weblog solutions for spell checking may help you. It's located here:

  • Spell Check Functionality in CRM 2007

    Hi Experts,
Do we have spell check functionality in CRM 2007, If yes, How & where can we enable it ?
For example if a sales representative/Manager types something in NOTES, they should able to spellcheck.
    Thanks & Regards
    Shiven

I dont think there is SAP spellcheck functionality available. Your best bet would be to download a spellcheck plug-in for your web browser.
    Hope this helps

  • Wintertree Spell Checker  - activation lexicons

    Hi Experts!
My company has purchased the Wintertree Sentry Spelling-Checker Engine Java SDK 5.1 software and the german lexicon. I have installed the tomcat server and implemented the SAP note 1083520. The english lexicon works fine. The department wants the features that the mispelled words are underlined and to switch from english to german and backwards. I am a newbie in programming and do not know how to solve the issues. i have copied the new lexicon in the path \SpellCheck\WEB-INF\classes. The apache server found the 3 lexicons when executing the spell check button. But in the e-mail editor the english dictionary is only available and the words are not underlined.
I am a newbe in programming. Could somebody please tell me how to acivate the second german lexicon, underline mispelled words and to switch between the german and the english lexicon?
    Thank you very much!

    Thank you!

  • Wintertree Spell Checker modification for IR/Complaint Notes

    Hello,
We are at CRM 5.0 and SP 15. We use IE 6.0. I would like to know if SAP Note 1083520 can be extended to implement Spell Checker functionality in views other than Email editor that the note is specifically meant for.
In other words, has anyone ever tried to implement the software by modifying the provided Javascript and or .class files to use in other scenarios like Complaint Notes/ IRs etc?. Will SAP support the solution in this case?.
    Please help!!!

  • Spell check in Webdypro text element

I have a text element in my view after entering text into it a letter is generated with the text in the text element view.
I need a fucntionality to spell check the text that has been entered.
I know there is a standard function module which is used for spell check in the backend sap, but since it has a dailogue popup it will not be able to be called from webdynpro.
would appreciate if someone can provide  a solution for this or atleast let me know if it is not possible at all.
    Thanks,

If you use Firefox, there is a spell check built into the browser itself.  This works fine with Web Dynpro.  Misspellings get underlined in red and you can right mouse click on them to see suggestions.

Spell check is really something handled much better by the browser itself.  Firefox, Chrome, and Safari all have the feature. Unfortunetely IE6 and IE7  and even IE8 don't have this feature. You can get add-ons for IE that will add in spell check features.

  • Better Spell Checker?

Not sure if this will be addressed in the "new SDN" (whenever it's coming), but is it possible to get a better Spell Checker on SDN? For example, I typed 'adressed' and the suggestions did not even include the correct spelling ('harnessed' - seriously?), which is not so far off. MS Word for the same typo gives just one suggestion - the correct one ('addressed').
And would it be possible to add at least some commonly used SAP terms / abbreviations? 'ABAP' is not a typo and by SDN I don't mean SUDAN.
Edited by: Jelena Perfiljeva on Feb 15, 2012 3:54 PM

I typed in ABAP  and pressed the spell checker. It caught ABAP  as an error and suggested ABAP  (ABAP with a space after it)! I replaced with the spell checker version of ABAP  and pressed spell checker again. It still caught ABAP .
And if I type abap, I really don't see how I could possibly mean labia

We have a requirement to add a spell check to the Notes in SAP MDG. Is this possible and has anyone done/added this before?
    Any suggestions on adding this?

    Hello Danie
    Try this -
    1. Open IE
    2. In the menu bar click on Tools - Tracking Protection
    3. Select Spelling Corrections
    4. There are multiple languages - Click on English (United states)
    5. Below there is a box - Enable spelling correction. Click on it. Save and try.

  • Spell Check - iView should be divine

    Hi Guys,
Thanks to the folks who saw the needs of the SAP user and developer community and put together the SDN. Great job.
Now, in regards to the Spell Check... should iView really come up as a spelling error? Or is it that iView really should be renamed to divine? I mean iViews are good but <i>divine</i>?
Don't ask what I'm doing on SDN at 3am on Christmas day.. Its obvious, I'm waiting for santa to come and update the spell checker!
    Merry Christmas.
    Cheers
    Daniel

    Happy New Year Daniel,
iView should not be divine. We actually have a file with all the SAP Terms (all 80.000 of them), but it's currently a manual process to load them one by one.
Other things have higher priority, but it is on the list and we will get to it soon, or so I hope.
    All the best, Mark.

  • I can't use word because a box keeps popping up saying that it can't find the spell check files?

I open Word and there is a pop-up message saying that word cannot start the spelling checker because the files may be missing and to make sure that the spell checker files are installed or use the Microsoft installer to install spell checker. I have never had this problem with Word before and spell check has always been fine. What should I do?

Since word is made by Microsoft you should post your question on their own forums for their Mac software as Apple Communities only provide support for Apple products:
