Spell function using previous word.

The Spelling and Grammar,^-click, function that I use many times each day has lost it's (tiny little mind). Under Leopard 10.5 it does not search the current window at all. It replaces the current cursor location with the last correction, from a previous document or web location.

Hi Rana,
In your scenario, you use previous function in the “Data” cell, right? Previous function cannot be used in the overlapping parts of row group and column group. One workaround of this issue is use custom code to get the previous value.
Public Shared previous as Integer

     previous=current
     current=Item
     return current
End Function
Public Shared Function GetPrevious()
     return previous
End Function
Then you can use the expression below in the “Data” cell to get the previous value:

Using Previous function in summary rows?

Hi,
I have a requirment, where I have to use the value got in previous column in the summary row.
The scenario is as follows.
There are Product, Quantity on Hand , Order Type and Date column. I am using cross tab, As I have to use the details of columns for each date.
So date will be spreaded across table as there are more dates.
In summary column, I would like to do a calcuation for each date. And I should use the calculated amount on one date in the next date and the calcuation continues.
I am trying to use previous function, but its showing computation error.
I am attaching a excel sheet with a sample example for easy understanding.
The calculation which I used in summary row is avialble in formula section, when we select the column.

Hmm... you're right. I don't have access to that Google Doc, but our support.mozilla.com weekly metrics are on Google Docs, and I see the same issue there.

It may be specific to Google spreadsheets (and whether or not you have permission to edit the doc). I'm currently trying to find out if that's a Firefox bug, or a Google bug. If you use the '''Ctrl-F''' keyboard shortcut, Google's Find feature takes over, so they obviously want people using their Find utility.

Unable to apply report filter by using Previous Function

Hello,
I am new to Webi and need your expertise. I created a varible using Previous Function. The varible works fine when you view it. However, it doesn't work when I tried to apply this varible in the report filter.
Here are the varibles:
Varible A = Previous([Field A]; ([Field B]; [Field C]))
DisplayVarible = If([Varible A] = 'Letter A'; 1; 0)
I learned that when applying Display Varible in the report filtes, the Value(s) from list is grayed out. How do I fix this?

The objective is to find the turnaround time from one customer to the next customer. For example, you have a hair saloon shop and you want to know how long does it take when you finish one customer and start the next customer.

As you can see, I can calculate the minutes difference. However, I cannot apply time difference varible in the report filter. I hope I have provided you enough info. Thank you for your help.

I recently upgraded to Lion and my 2004 Microsoft Office no longer functions. So all of my word docs are unreadable with the Lion system. If I buy pages, will they be converted? Also, I used Microsoft Word for editing docs, making comments and tracking

I need help. All of my word docs from Microsoft word 2004 cannot be read in Lion. I can't believe I'll have to pay for a Word upgrade. Is it worth it? Is pages as good? Will all of my docs be recognized once I upgrade to the current word or Pages? I tried Open Office, but that doesn't synch all of the previous Word docs, it needs to be done one doc at a time.

If you absolutely must have the Microsoft applications, you can purchase and download them from http://microsoft.com/mac.
Free software suites LibreOffice and OpenOffice offer similar functionality (word processing and spreadsheets).
Or you could do worse than look at Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote, which should already be installed in your Mac and can export to Microsoft formats if need be.

Can not use previous password in ISE 1.1.2 patch-5

this is my password-policy:

I also entered the followings:

my initial "admin" account has the password of "Checkpoint1234". It locked me out after 5 attempts from the webUI. Fine, I CLI into the box and reset
the password, when I tried to reset the password for "admin" to "Checkpoint1234", it tells me that I can NOT use a previous password.
How do I disable this option altogether? In other words, I want to use previous password.
By the way, in the webUI password-policy, you have to set the "Password History" between 1 and 10. WTF!!!

Admin account for the web UI seems to be locked out. So it needs to be reset from CLI.
An incorrect password for your administrator user ID entered enough times to disable the administrator password. The minimum and default number is five. The Cisco ISE user interface “locks you out” of the system and suspends the credentials for that administrator ID until you have an opportunity to reset the password that is associated with that administrator ID. It does not affect the CLI password for the specified administrator ID
Step 1 Access the direct-console CLI and enter the following command:
admin# application reset-passwd ise
Step 2 Specify a new password that is different from the previous two passwords that were used for this administrator ID:
Enter new password:
Confirm new password:
Password reset successfully
If you only want to use the previous password, you should change the password policy first. After you have successfully reset the administrator password, the credentials become immediately active in the Cisco ISE and you can log in with the new password without having to reboot your system.

Lost use of word for mac 2004 when upgraded to mountain lion OSX

Office 2004 and Other Applications Don't Work in Lion/Mountain Lion
If you have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite, it will not work in Lion/Mountain Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.
You may want to consider as well:

And, then there is Apple's iWork suite:
Pages - word processing and layout
Keynote - presentation
Numbers - spreadsheet

As for other software, any PPC-based software will not run in Lion or Mountain Lion because Rosetta is no longer part of OS X. You will need to upgrade to Intel versions of the software.

Finding "Use previous headers and footers"

Working in Word Processing, and I cannot find "Use previous headers and footers" (I need to uncheck it.)

You need to be in the second or later section of your document to de-activate that feature. Usually, if not always, things are grayed out because they don't make sense in the current context.

How does one prevent cursor from jumping to previous words, deleting words?

A question for my daughter who has a macbook pro with an intel chip using system 10.4.11. On several different programs,e.g. word, gmail, her cursor arrow jumps from the word she is on, backwards, to the previous words, deleting words, phrases, and sentences along the way. What may be the cause? How may we prevent this? Thank you.

Has ANYONE found a solution to this???? My MacBook Pro (purchased Sept 08) doesn't have the ignore accidental trackpad thing. I seriously doubt that it's my typing, since I've used 2 different IBM's, 3 different Gateways, 3 different PowerBooks, a MacBook, and an older MacBook Pro. No problem ever with any of them. Not even once.
If I turn off the Tap to Click (and the two finger right mouse is REALLY HARD to give up) the problem goes away. Several threads give this as the solution. Just turn the trackpad tap on and off. This is a workaround NOT A SOLUTION!!!!!
I've been reading on this for quite a while. "Genius" solutions like reinstalling the OS, etc. Not found one that actually works.
Did I miss it???? Is it out there somewhere????
