Spelling error in dialog
In FlashBuilder 4, Data/Services dialog, right click on a Data Type node in the tree, click on "Configure Return Type" you get a dialog titled:
"No operation selected"
And the text reads:
Currently no operation in selected in the view
Please select a service operation and try again
It should read:
Currently no operation is selected in the view
Please select a service operation and try again
When I select a service and right click and then click on "Configure Return Type"... nothing happens. (I reported this in another post)
Error was ours in JS. Apologies.

Region spelling error on iCloud Pages docs - on ML
I have my systems set up for British English. Just upgraded to Mountain Lion and latest versions of iWork for OSX and ios.
Documents created in pages on ipad synch ok to mac, but UK spelling is flagged as mispelt - changing this to US version results in spelling error flag being removed.
The document shows ok on the iPad in Pages and for example, typing color on the iPad is flagged as incorrect and colour as correct.
If I create a new doc in pages on the iPad then this problem appears again on the mac. It seems to have set the document flag as US rather than UK - during the icloud transfer from ipad to mac - thereafter, any new words typed in are checked as mispelt if UK spelling when typing on to the doc on the mac
If I create a new doc on the mac, then synch to the ipad via icloud is fine in both directions
The icloud synch works fine (as far as I can see) on keynote and numbers.
Any ideas?
IanAre both devices using the same iCloud account, is document and data syncing turned on on each.
Does other content sync OK, do you see your documents at iCloud.com. -
Spelling Errors In Mail Are Not Highlighted As I Type
Hi,
I have 'Check Spelling As I Type' enabled in Preferences in Mail, however my spelling errors are not highlighted (underlined in red) as I type.
This feature used to work but for some reason no longer does - not sure if this is attributable to recent software updates?
To check the spelling I need to select that option from the Edit menu.
Any ideas how to turn this feature back on.
ThanksAre your dictionary files in place? They should be here:
~/Library/Spelling
Maybe check that the permissions are OK on this file (do a Repair Permissions from Disk Utility).
Also, check your spelling settings in Mail: Go to Edit->Spelling->Spelling...
Finally, several other applications use the same spelling services as Mail, so try using Text Edit to see if the problem is there too. -
Spelling error in error message
Hello,
I know this is not a very important issue, but anyway I try to report it.
In SQLDev version 3.1.07.42 (but the issue is present also in v1.5.5) there is a spelling error in the connection busy error message.
It says "*Connection is currrently busy. Try again?*", but I believe there are too many "r" in the word "currently".
Thanks,
PaoloSuch tags can have uses beyond getting fed back to the compiler. For instance, I do this at the top of my build tree:
make -k >& ,make-log
analyzelogfile ,make-log > ,build-summary
The analysis summarizes how many warnings and errors come from the compiler, how many other compiler errors were generated (collect2 phase), and how many linker errors were generated, by type of warning/error. This is tremendously helpful in quickly finding out whether the changes you just checked in made the situation better or worse.
For purposes of writing the analyzelogfile script, it helps a lot to have consistent structure/format of error and warning messages. Currently it's uglier than that, partly because there are multiple build phases involved (preprocessor, compiler, linker), each with its own ideas on how to print messages, and partly because I'm also maintaining portable code (Studio and GCC). I end up with a Perl script to do the analysis, and it can be hacked as new types of messages are discovered. It would be a lot nicer if the structure/format were well-defined in advance, and such tags were human-readable. Then the script would have an easier time finding and reporting the summarized data, by simply including such tags in the output along with a count of each type of tag that occurred. -
How can I eliminate phantom spelling errors?
I use Word for several hours every day and I push the limits a little with Dragon speech recognition software, extensive use
of Word macros, and daily use of Review, Compare, Compare. Perhaps at least once a day I look in the document and see that “phantom” spelling errors have arisen. For example, I’m looking at a page presently in which the letters “andard” in the word “standard”
are underlined with the red wavy line. Similarly the “ic” in the word “quadratic” is underlined with the red wavy line, and the “erived” in the word “derived” is also underlined with the line.
I can make these red wavy lines disappear by simply pressing F7 to check the spelling, which (assuming there are no “real” spelling errors in the document) causes them to disappear and I get the message “The spelling check is complete.”.
The red wavy lines are distracting. Is there a way that I can make them permanently go away (without turning off automatic spell-checking)?
Thanks for your help,
Don Macnaughton
Win 7 Pro (64 bit), Word 2010 14.0.7125.500 (32 bit)Or, perhaps, you could alert the folks who produce Dragon Naturally Speaking since it seems to be a problem caused by their software? I believe that is Nuance.
BTW, I stopped using DNS a while back because I type faster than it would accept dictation and with fewer errors.
Thank you. That's a useful suggestion. However, I expect that the MS Word developers are very careful about preventing external programs from messing up Word (because Word gets blamed when this happens). So there should be no way that a bug in
Dragon Naturally Speaking (DNS) could cause phantom spelling errors in Word. Or if there is a way, then the Word developers should make changes to Word so that this can no longer happen. (I expect that the interface that Word exposes to other applications
is very carefully designed so that if the external applications do "bad" things, they can't cause Word to misbehave. (They shouldn't even be able to "hang" Word, although DNS sometimes does that because it appears to be thrashing.
But the problem goes away if I wait or if I kill DNS.)
Sorry to hear that DNS was too slow and error prone for you. For me, if I enunciate clearly and speak in longer phrases, and use an approved microphone, a 10-or-15 word sentence is correctly typed as soon as I've finished saying it. And talking
is much easier than typing, even though I've been touch typing for more than 40 years.
You do need a sufficiently modern CPU to use DNS because it's highly CPU-intensive. They recommend a modern processor with 2 MB L2 cache.

Q1 How do I cut and paste

Highlight the item.
Finder>Edit>Copy
Place the item where you want to

There is 3rd party software that makes cut & paste easier with just 1 or 2 steps.
Q2 how do I correct a spelling error when it has a red line under it?
You can find the correct spelling in the Apple dictionary. Just add the correct spelling & delete the error.

I have created loads of PDF's
for my media students to type into, scripts, planning, storyboards etc...
My students are 13 to 16 and they do make spelling errors, when they do the whole user entered text in the pdf disapears untill you click on it and it prints out blank also.
Any ideas ?Spelling errors are nothing to do with printing. There must be some thing else going on. If you can email me a copy of one such form at "n_varma AT lycos.com". I would try the same and see if I can help you with any ideas.

Spelling error but no recomendations
Am i missing something, while bridged to my bb i can create emails and the playbook will indicate a spelling error with a red underline but i can't see any way of accessing the spell check function, is this just another application thats functionally incomplete or am i just missing something?
rbI had the same probelm, verified with support and got calles every 2 days they were working on it. Finally got a call that they were closing the issue since it was a know issue and would be resolved in a future release. (Ticket 22800264)
This was a deal breaker for me (sorry Black Berry), I waited (and waited) for the Play Book, bought it on the release date for the e-mail integrqation. I actual like to Bridge idea, one mail box to manage, but this is basic functionaluty that is missing.
When I took the Playbook back to Best Buy, they were had no questions with the return and were evven surprised it didn't have predictive typing.
Let me know when this is fixed, I have owned 5 different BB sicne the mono-color one with the dial on the side. I may try again if I have not bought a different tablet by then.
Thanks,

Spelling error in Attributes select tag - manatory="1"
Anyone got a work around for this?
Using Product > Attributes dropdown and selecting it as a Required field, the output contains a spelling error in the Select tag.
It outputs as 'manatory', when it should be 'mandatory', therefore it does't check it it's required.
<div class="catProdAttributeItem">
<select class="input-medium" manatory="1">
<option value="">-- Please select --</option>
<option value="14238264">1 </option>
<option value="14238265">2 </option>
<option value="14238266">3 </option>
</select>

I've notified BC, but it could take some time for them to fix their code, busy as they areError was ours in JS. Apologies.

OWA Email Prompt Before Sending Email With Spelling Errors
Looking for a way to configure OWA so that it does not send, or at least prompts you before sending, an email that has spelling errors?
ThanksHi FaeB,
Thank you for your question.
Exchange 2013 OWA didn’t just receive email without any development.
When we send email with spelling error, OWA will display the red line under incorrect word, as the following snapshot:
In snapshot, I make the word of “email” and “error” incorrect. If we didn’t modify it, OWA will not give another reminder when we send emails.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
Best Regard,

Spelling error iweb republishes whole site!
Unless I am totally freaking out, I found a spelling error on one of my pages. I hit publish to fix it and it RE UPLOADED (at least it seemed that way as it took 5 minutes) my whole site! I am on a pretty fast connection too.
Seems to me this seems like a way for Apple to get us to buy more .mac space (bandwidth)
Am I nuts?
Is there an answer? The support listed on the website is useless, it is VERY basic.
thanks Laura Drewit uploads it to your idisk folder. If you go to your
utilities folder and click idisk utility, it mounts
it to your desktop. everything in those folders is in
idisk. pictures, music, backups, web-pages... etc.
Not sure of the point your making here, but it only uploads any differences between your idisk and iweb.
However if you have a local copy of your idisk on your mac, you should be aware that iweb syncs with your idisk which will then sync with your local copy and not the other way around. So once you have published don't expect to see the uploaded files until you next perform a sync of your local copy of your idisk. -
