Spelling is missing basic typos

The spell check is missing basic spelling errors and typos. Is there anyway to improve it?

May you give more details :
(1) examples of 'basic spelling errors'
(2) language defined to rule the spell checker

Disappointed by missing basic functionality

I recently started working with Muse, and got frustrated by the fact that there seemingly is no Show/Hide functionality.
Also, am I correct to say that there is no direct import for Mp3/4 media? If so, why not?
Lastly: if InDesign can have basic animation options, then surely it wouldn't be so hard to include it in Muse.
Muse works great, but I am quite disappointed by this lack of basic functionality.

Thanks for your response.Yes I agree with you - I put my expectations in the fact that Muse is developing fast.
However, what I'd regard as a very basic feature for any interactivity (show/hide), is missing. Instead of having abutton that can show or hide icons on a map, I now I have to create a duplicate of the same page that don't show them. So when a user click the button, another page first has to load!
Clumsy and stupid.

Missing Basic and Tone Curve Panel in LR5

Last night I installed LR5 (last version was LR3) on my iMac with Mavericks OS and everything was working fine, I thought, and I was using the Develop Module when I noticed the Basic Panel and Tone Curve Panel (which I had been using) had gone missing . As in, poof, they were gone. So now I have the Histogram, the Crop and other tools and brushes, and then nothing until HSL/Color/B&W and then on down.

I'm cheating here with another question, but I think it will be quick: I see LR5 automatically uses the updated interface for Highlights, Shadows, Blacks, Whites and I see they are more precise and subtle. Can I go to photos adjusted in LR3 that still show the LR3 interface and use the LR5 interface & finer adjustments on the old photos?

Spelling Dictionary missing

My spelling dictionary is CS2 is missing. I've re installed the program, yet it is still not showing up. How can I re install it?

Thanks so much for your help. It was set to some language called Pyccknn, whatever that is.
I had to select all before changing it, otherwise it seemed to only apply to where my cursor was. Does anyone know if there is a preferences to make new documents in english?

Missing basic functionality

Is there a reason why the iPhone does not support custom ringtones for calendar reminders, v-mail notifications, and incoming SMS notifications? This is basic functionality which has been present in most other cell phones for the past 10 years.
Also, is there a reason why the iPhone messaging app does not display the date/time of an incoming SMS message? It's fairly inconvenient to not know when a message was received!

Missing Basic Palette

Hi,
I was told to find static text in the basic palette. I do not seem to have a basic palette, only a standard palette. I have started about 8 new projects and none have the basic palette. I have reinstalled the Sun Java Creator on a XP Pro OS.
I still do not find a basic palette.

What is the build number of the IDE you have installed? To find the build number click on Help --> About Java Studio Creator. A new window opens, here click on the Detail tab. Here you will find the Product version. The Product Version should be - Java Studio Creator 2 (Build 060120).

Missing basic understanding of events

I'm new to Flex, but I've got it to do 95% of what I need for a data-streaming prototype using BlazeDS.
I'd really appreciate some insight on the last 5%: events (dispatching and listening)
I have a datagrid that is being populated with one set of data - car makes (Chrysler, Ford, GM).
I have another datagrid being populated with car models (300C, Mustang, Camaro). This dataset is being pushed from Blaze as an IMessage event.
When the Flex app renders the car makes datagrid, the text is not enabled.
What I'm trying to accomplish is this: Once I receive a message from the car models stream that it's done for that make, I want to enable that make's text.
Here's my actual datagrid:

This didn't even occur to me, so thanks for the suggestion. However, when I try to implement it, I get a compiler error "1120: Access of undefined property myVar." It seems pretty straightforward, I'm not sure why it doesn't like my bound variable, unless it has something to do with the text object inside of the component object so it renders.
Any other ideas?

Missing 'Basic' Icon

I need some help with Lightroom3.
In the DEVELOP mode on the right side of the screen there are functions for TONE, DETAIL, EFFECTS etc.
The top one is BASIC.
Somehow my "BACIC" has disappeared from the list.
How did that happen and how do I get it back?
I can't edit without it.
I can CROP, STRAIGHTEN, SPOT, etc, but not FILL LIGHT, CONTRAST, etc. There doesn't seem to be a icon to get it back either? Do you know where it is?

Right click In Develop the right side panel and recheck Basic or Show All.

Missing "Basic" Settings.

The "Basic" adjustments in my Devellpe Module have disappeared. can anyone tell me haow to get them back?

What seems puzzling to me is the number of people who have had this problem since switching to Lightroom 5. It seems like it comes up almost on a daily basis. Haven't seen that before.

Why is Mail on iOS missing basic features like rules, folders, selecting all mails at once?

Additionaly, why isn't it possible to
– add an image/movie from within Mail while composing a message?
– add multiple images oder movie files at once?
– sort messages by other criteria from within Mail?
– switch between html and plain text formatting?

Because that's how it is. No-one here can tell you why something is designed the way it is.

Missing basic feature: sound profiles

Less than a week ago, I became an iPhone owner.
At the moment, I'm stumbed because such a simple feature as "sound profiles" (which Nokia has since last decade) isn't available in our brand new iOS5 or App Store.
This is a formal request to Apple Engineers: either let developers create an application as such or create one for us. A good example for you to look at: Android app 'Setting Profiles Lite'.
I wonder if my 4s ever will see the day of light of such an app!

Fin Reports and how it handles #Missing HELP!!!!

I have a dilemna.
I have a expense account 'Office Expense' that has data in it for FY11 Budget of 4K, but for FY12 Budget there is no data so it's #Missing basically.
How can Fin Reports treat that #Missing in formulas?
Logic:
IF FY12 = 0 or #Missing AND FY11 > 0 THEN (FY12 - FY11) * -1
Result Should be:
0 - 4000 = -4000 * -1 = +4000
Is this possible in Fin Reports?

Here's the equivalent Excel formulas I need converted into Fin Reports:
To get the value correct plus or minus:
=IF(AND(A32<0,B32<0),(+A32-B32),-(+A32-B32))
To calculate pct correctly:
=IF(AND(C32<0,B32=0),-1,IF(C32=0,0,IF(B32<0,-(+C32/B32),+C32/B32)))

Look at the chapter on Functions, in the IfThen section it talks about:
- IsMissing / IsMiss for coping with #Missing
- IsError / IsErr for coping with formulae that return #Error, e.g. dividing by 0
- IsNonNumeric / IsNN for coping with non numeric values

Grammar and Spelling checkers in SL

Hello everyone,
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the grammar checker is not working properly in SL. I remember that in MacOS 10.5 it underlined with green the parts of text it believed to be incorrect. It was in Mail, TextEdit and some other text applications.
Now in SL, it just seems not to work. I have just tried to type in Mail/TextEdit "He do not come..." in Mail, and nothing was underlined. Moreover, when I clicked on "Edit-Spelling and Grammar-Check Doc. Now" nothing has happened. I still get the spelling red underlying with typos, or "teh" stuff.
Tried to check in the system preferences, but nothing really helps. Is there a solution?

In TextEdit, have you gone to Edit > Spelling & Grammar and checked Check Grammar with Spelling? When I type your sentence, the "do" does get a green underline, and Show Spelling and Grammar brings up the panel with "do" and the message "the word 'do' may not agree with the rest of the sentence."

Basic Piano lessons only shows lessons 2-9 available

This is on a clean install of Snow Leopard with all updates and a install of GarageBand 11 from the app store.
Lesson 2 talks about lesson 1 but it is not even in my list.
My keyboard is arriving on Wednesday, I hope I can get this resolved by then!

Success. Today right-click Garageband (ver 10, the one with missing Lessons) located in Applications folder selecting Move to Trash. As App store then stated Purchase-so Installed it that now includes the previously missing Basic & Classical Music Lessons. Lessons are still installed in /HD/Library/Application Support/Learn to Play, interestingly with the file dates from the GB 6.0.5 install a few days ago. I suppose I can now carefully Move to Trash the GB 6.0.5 application.
