Spent a good hour on all of this and still the same problem, Im done with CL products for go
I do all this to the T as the Creative Labs tech asked me to and I still have a stuck mute button on my windows sound properies and as I sais earlier whenever I change the REC in Surround mixer it automatically muts anything I select it to. I have all I need to see in this product, its gone tuesday morning, taking it back and getting my money back then buying a real sound card!!!!! Thanks for trying CL but after I ran through the mud trying to fix this, i've had enough.
. Click START / RUN / Type MSCONFIG and press ENTER.
2. Insert a check to the left of SELECTIVE STARTUP and deselect 'LOAD
STARTUP ITEMS'.
3. Select the SERVICES tab and select HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES.
4. Uncheck all results and click OK.
5. Click OK and reboot when prompted.
6. Enable the WINDOWS XP STARTUP MENU by rebooting your computer and
tapping F8 once every second OR holding the SHIFT key while rebooting.
7. When the menu is displayed, select SAFE MODE and press ENTER.
8. Once in SAFE MODE, insert the sound card's installation CD and exit
out of the installer
9. Click START / RUN.
0. Type "X:\AUDIO\DRIVERS\CTZAPXX.EXE into the OPEN field (replace X
with the applicable CD-ROM dri've letter).
. Click OK.
2. When the CREATIVE DRIVER UPDATE UTILITY opens, select DRIVER
UNINSTALLATION under UPDATE OPTION.
3. If two out of the three options are disabled or grayed out under
DRIVER TYPE, click OK. Otherwise, select WDM. You will then be
prompted to reboot, but please do not do so.
4. Click START / SETTINGS / CONTROL PANEL / ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
5. Remove all Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS programs.
6. Close all windows, and reboot the computer normally (ENTER NORMAL
MODE).
7. The Audigy 2 ZS will be detected by Windows. Cancel the ADD NEW
HARDWARE WIZARD when able.
In order to install your soundcard properly, I recommend you to ensure
the following for the audio installation and test:
- The card is the only card installed other than the Graphics card.
- The card is at least one empty slot away from the Graphics card.
- Place the soundcard away from all the others.
- That the card is seated properly in the PCI slot.
- Move the PC's internal wires away from the soundcard.
- That the on-board sound on your motherboard is disabled through the
BIOS.
- That the on-board gameport is disabled through the BIOS.
- That your motherboard BIOS is up-to-date.
- That the operating system is up-to-date with the latest service packs
and patches.
- That there are no background applications open when you attempt the
solution.
- That the anti-virus program is disabled.
- That if you are over-clocking your system, return all options to
their
recommended settings.
- That you access the PC with administrator rights.
8. Perform an installation via the START program on the CD
(X:\CTRUN\START.EXE where X is the dri've letter of your CD-ROM dri've
that has the installation CD
**note** on some older CDs this might be x:\ctrun\ctrun.exe).
9. Reboot if prompted.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -
Upgraded this morning. All worked fine for about 30min then "no service". Still the same problem and a reset of the device only fixes the problem for 15min. then we are back to no service?? When will apple fix this???
Tried to reset network settings ...only fixes it for 15min. Did a firmware restore and a clean new phone setup. no settings restore. still have network service after around 60min. still running 6.1. i do get a prompt that i have to update settings to LTE. Have not excepted the settings as yet. Cellular data is still set to 3G....

what do you do after you have done all of this and still have no resolved the issue? itunes still will not load, or reinstall. i have updated my computers OS to the posted above settings for Vista. still gives error code 1114. NOTE!: My itunes WORKED JUST FINE UNTIL a new update was ready for download yesterday afternoon.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I updated Firefox and now it will not open at all. The hourglass shows that it's working but then nothing. I went to add/remove and removed mozilla and reinstalled it and still the same thing. It worked fine before I updated. Now I can't even remove the program at all. Why is this happening?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

My iPod Nano 7th Generation couldn't be detected by iTunes when I plugged in. I tried resolving the issue by uninstalling the iTunes and then install it back again but yet still the same problem exist. Can you please help me to solve this issue? I'm having some problems wiht Firefox, for example; Youtube isn't loading right, Facebook won't let me send messages, search up people, and this website i made wont load right also. I've re-installed and updated it but still the same problems. Any help?
Because I know enough to be dangerous... I was trying to extend the two outside columns down.... Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links. When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page. I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article. From the Event Photos page the links look like this:

The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it can't find the page). To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing. It makes no sense. When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what. I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.

I can't send emails from Mail. I have three different accounts set up and have the same problem with all. The mail just sits in my outbox. All worked fine until Yosemite upgrade. Recent update has not fixed problem.
I have been experiencing the same problem. My mail app won't even open on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro. It will show as open, but the app will never actually show up.

After installing Mountain Lion. No sound. Under sound, where it says select an output device, it says no output devices found, and there is no sound. How do I fix this? I have reinstalled the os twice and still the same. I have also repaired permissions.

I run Windows-XP SP3 and I can't get the image from a Siemans Gigaset cam. There is an error in the cam code (a lacking rutine) . IE8 ignores this and displays the image anyway.
Is it possible to get a notification like Ignore/Abort/ Continue ???Does the documentation for that camera, or for the software with it, say anything about ActiveX or about H.264?
If so, it isn't compatible with Firefox - it doesn't do ActiveX and it doesn't support H.264 in the HTML5 standard. Microsoft just released a plugin for Firefox that adds H.264 support to Firefox, but IIRC that only covers Windows 7 - not WinXP. -
i just purchase an ipad2 yesterday when i tried to download some apps it kept giving me this error1004 msg. i tried to reset everything still the same msg. I even reset my account credit card still the same. I already talk to ipad support she does have clue either.

If you cant read what I've written above then your system is just pathetic. At my age, I don't need to be instructed on "how to write a good question". Why must a brief detailed technical question be summarized? Why cant I do the supposedly simple task of downloading "all" of my photos from my 64g iPhone 5s onto my Dell Latitude E6410 laptop in one simple press of the button process? Instead my Laptop is always trying to download mega gigabytes of all my laptop photos onto my iPhone. I am now totally convinced that the Apple Corporation has implemented a scheme trying to "force" me, and every other Apple customer, to buy more iCloud storage instead of allowing us the cheaper option of storing our own photos on our own lap tops and our own external hard drives. If this is the case then Apples tactics are back-firing, and I for one, will never buy another complicated, user-unfriendly, rotten capitalistic Apple product again. If there is a simple way of downloading all of my photos onto my laptop in one simple move then why cant it "simply" show you how to do it, like all the other companies smart phones do? From one **** of an irate customer. K.I.S.S. or lose customers. Don't try to rip us off financially, with devious money making schemes, the general public will respond accordingly and you WILL lose market share.

Also what is so difficult with plugging in to a USB socket and having images automatically uploaded/downloaded into your Pictures folder ?
Unless of course your PC USB is a slow 1.1 socket !
