Spike in help calls - Captivate running on LMS

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing and increase in the number of help calls regarding Captivate running on an LMS.
We have around 150 Captivate 4 courses, each having an average of 4 SCORM lessons. We have around 8,000 users. Our courses run on a hosted LMS (InquisiqR3). We were averaging around 300 calls per month. Calls are up about 25% now. Outside of the normal calls (forgot password, weak wireless connections, user errors) we've begun to receive calls on courses that have been running fine for the past 3 years, but are now freezing up in the middle of a lesson, not passing SCORM data to the LMS at the end of a lesson and displaying a variety of error message. Our LMS host says they have not made any changes. And we have made no changes to any of these courses. Browser issues is the only thing making any sense to me. With all the updates that are occuring with the browsers these days. I know IE9 is causing some issues with our courses and the cure is to switch to compatibility view. FireFox seems to come out with an update every month. Many of our users can't tell us what browser they're using (ie: "I'm using RoadRunner browser").....
Anyway, is anyone else experiencing Captivate and LMS issues. I'm looking for trends.

UPDATE:
Looks like there are issues when running Firefox with Flash 11.3. I was able dulplicate the errors some users were having when I used a computer with this Browser/Flash configuration. A Google search confirmed this. Updating to the latest Flash version solved the problem. Note: problems only occured with Captivate lessons containing Flash animations inserted into pages.

I accomplished this by publishing my PDF to a directory I called "PDFWebObjectEmbedFiles" on my webserver outside of where my published project lives.
For example...the PDF to embed lived at:
http://mydomain.com/PDFWebObjectEmbedFiles/file_name_of_PDF_to_embed.pdf
Then I went inside of Captivate and inserted the Web Object widget. I put the URL to my PDF inside the widget. Then it loads perfectly with no problem.

Want to call and run a vi that is not in memory

I have a vi (say Sub1.vi) that I want to call and run from another vi (Say Main.vi). Sub1.vi is not loaded into memory, when Main.vi is started. From within Main.vi I want to load Sub1.vi and run it. But I don want Main.vi to wait for completion of sub1.vi - sub1.vi needs to run continuously in the background.
So I tried calling the sub1.vi using the Open vi Reference and the Invoke Node to run the vi. This works only if Sub1.vi is already loaded in memory.
Next I tried Open vi Reference, Invoke Node to Open FP and then another Invoke Node to Run the vi. This works when the sub1.vi is not loaded in memory but it opens the FP of sub1.vi.
But I dont want the FP to open and be displayed - I want sub1.vi to run in the background.
How do I achieve that?

solved. was a firefox addon called 1password
solved by deleting the desktop version of hte app and reinstalling
1password support was useless. didnt even know a piece of their own software. suggested it was a ffox profile issue. red herring.

Error in http call soap run time exception

Hi All,
we are facing an issue whenever we are sending the file using soap protocal.
the issue here is.
when one user trying to send files he is getting error in http call soap run time exception.
when he try to login to other PC then he can able to send the file without any exception.
we have checked the local setting and coockies.
any one please help me.

Its not in the notepad file but when I open it in internet explorer etc it appears... But cant see the '-' in the internal table though.
I have also found one interesting this, when i pass the XML directly i.e hard code it there is no exception caused...

Captivate and Canvas LMS by Instructure

Hi
Does anyone know if there is any info or procedures for connecting Captivate to Canvas LMS by Instructure?
Can it be done using LTI?
Any info whatsoever would be helpful.

Well, after another call with Apple support and the engineers, no success. After spending over 20 hours trying to debug this, I give up. Apple was basically fishing for a solution with trial-and-error settings on the iphone. Then they wanted me to plug in software to log my iphone connections to the router, etc, etc., etc., at which point I decided I no longer wanted to participate in their testing process and will simply return the router.
25 hours of my life I'll never get back.
Big bummer, and frustrating for all the obvious reasons.

Still struggling with Captivate 6, Oracle LMS and SCORM 2004

Still can't get this course tracking with scores. Herewith the screen shot. Does anyone know if the settings I have chosen for the quiz are correct. When I load the published course into the lms and test it, it shows "not attempted" prior to opening it and it gives the final score on the last quiz slide. There is a slide after the last quiz slide. It still seems not to transfer the scores to the lms. I recently found out that we have Scorm 2004 version 4, so I changed the configuration setting as it was defaulted to version 3, but that still hasn't helped with the scores. Under the start and end settings, I have chosen close project for the end. I have been through a week of torture with this course! Please can anyone assist as I'm not sure what to do anymore!

This sounds like you have some major issue in this course project file.
Breaking it up into smaller files might not fix your issue.
I suggest you create a new blank CPTX project file, add one true/false quiz question, set it to report to LMS with the settings you have above, publish as a single SCO package zip file, and upload to both your LMS and SCORM cloud.
If this file doesn't even work, your installation of Captivate would have to be suspect and nothing you do in course module is going to fix that until you work out what the problem is. If this very simple single-SCO lesson plays OK and reports successfully to the LMS, then we need to figure out what is lacking in your current file.
It could be that your current file has somehow become corrupted. See the suggestions here for how to debug general corruption issues:

I need to call the Run continously button programmatically from MFC application .

I have create Labview application from sample VI and with help of VirtualInstrument class I am to access the methods like Run ,SetControlValue and getControlvalue .But for VI we have Run continously button also .how do I programmatically call the Run continously button opteration from my applciation using VI methods.

"Run Continuously" is not something that should be used in an application. (There are very few legitimate uses for continuous run, e.g. to quickly play with a few input parameters while debugging a subVI independent of the main application. The equivalent in your case would be to just place the run invocation in a loop and call it repeatedly. This is definitely not the way to do it!)
Why don't you simply place a big while loop around all the code inside the VI that needs to run continuously?

Help Center is running extremely slow in OSX Lion.

Help Center is running extremely slow on my MacBook Pro with OSX Lion (8 GB RAM, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5).
It takes several seconds to start up, occasionally variable names like "[currentBookname]" are displayed instead of section headings, results update extremely slowly. This has always been an issue but keeps getting worse it seems.

"Itunes helper is not running" has a red light on under the Support services catergory of device connectivity test during Diagnostics check

When I ran the itunes Diagnostics Test for my new ipad, I had one test result that had a button in front of the test name, which was red.
The test was in the Device Connectivity Tests Portion, under the Support Services Category, Titled " itunes Helper is not running ".
What does this mean and how can I correct this situation, so the itunes helper is running?

Search Help CALL SCREEN

Hi Guys,
please.. How can a Search Help call a SCREEN ?
I have a problem in a ABAP WebDynpro app, apparently because the search help is calling a SCREEN from the program SAPLSZA1.
This is the error message:
"Sending of dynpro SAPLSZA1 0201 not possible: No window system type specified"
The search help is KRED.
Any idea??

it can call screen using search help exit. KRED is a collective search and for example it contains search help KREDY. This search help uses exit F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_VENDOR_FUZZY. It is just a function module.
