Spilt the records

Question

Hi all,
I have a requirement where i must spilt the number of records in my internal table itab .Say if i have 2000 records , i must spilt it taking the first 990 records and doing some posting using Bapi and again take the next 990 records and do the posting and then take the remaining 20 and post it .Can some one help me out.
Note : My internal table can have at the maximum 990 records while passing to the Bapi.

First you can describe your internal table, if it is less than 990 lines call the BAPI to post by passing all the records. If it is more than 990 lines, loop at your internal table move the keep incrementing your counter when the counter reaches 990 lines call your BAPI and reset the counter. And once you are thru with all your records call your BAPI once outside the loop for the remaining records to be posted i.e. i meant for last 20 records that you have.
Eg algo.:
Describe itab index cnt.
if cnt < 990.
Call BAPI ....
endif.
else.
loop at itab int wa.
cnt1 = cnt1 + 1.
append wa to itab1.
if cnt1 = 990.
call BAPI with itab1.
refresh itab1.
clear cnt1.
endif.
endloop.
if itab1 is not initial.
Call BAPI with itab1.
endif.
endif.
