Hello Everyone.
In Photoshop CC 2014 there is a new future called Spin Blur  I wonder If we have this In After Effects CC 2014.
Thanks.

  • 16-bit radial spin blur problem in PS CS4?

I first saw this problem in CS2 (Windows XP, Intel P4). The radial spin blur filter introduces pixel noise at about the 8-bit level, which is horribly bad if you're expecting a smooth result out to 16 bits. It can be seen by taking a 16-bit image, applying a radial spin blur (10 degrees is fine), and then bumping the contrast way up (say using levels 125 to 130 in an area that's around 128). Zoom in to see the pixels. The image should be completely smooth but instead you'll see random dots all over. This problem was reproduced by somebody at Adobe during the CS3 beta with a promise that it would fixed for the release, but it wasn't fixed. My question: can somebody try this in CS4 and tell me if the problem has/hasn't been fixed? How about with a 32-bit image? I don't want to be suckered in to buying CS4 like I was for CS3.
    Thanks for your help,
    Jeff

Yes. The dithering is a designed part of the effect, but it seems to calculate the pattern strictly in 8bit, not respecting subtler levels in 16bit. The better quality in 32bit is merely a byproduct of the overall better blending calculations. If you really need this often, it would be smart to investigate the plugin market for alternatives or learn After Effects... ;-)

  • I have PS CC 14.2.1 x64 downloaded but I do not have Spin Blur as an option - I do have Field, Tilt

I have PS CC 14.2.1 x64 downloaded but I do not have Spin Blur as an option - I do have Field, Tilt & Iris.  Should I have Spin Blur?

Photoshop CC (2014) is a completely separate application (versioned 2014.0, or maybe 15.0 depending on where you look).
You will need to download and install Photoshop CC (2014) via the Creative Cloud application.

  • No blur and motion blur effect available in the spin blur gallery

I saw several videos where the new spin blur was demonstrated. They all had the option "blur effects & motion blur effects ( with strobe strenght, flashes etc...) but when I open the spin blur panel those options are not there.

    hi Bijouz,
Resetting Blur Gallery should do the trick.

  • Just download PS CC (2014) but spin blur, path blur, etc aren't there?

Just download PS CC (2014) but spin blur, path blur, etc aren't there?  What to do?

Thanks Dave...  How come YOU GUYS always know where the USEFUL topics are - as opposed to ME, who goes out and finds the Adobe forum topic where they tell you to UNINSTALL everything?
I finally did find a topic where they had the links to the actual products rather than trying to do the install/upgrade through CC, and downloaded Photoshop, extension manager, camera raw, LR 5.5 and did a new install of PS 2014.........
UNFORTUNATELY (this is starting to feel like one of those bad jokes where every new feature you get costs a feature that WAS previously working), after doing the install of PS, I started Lightroom to see if I could get images to Photoshop, and it told me the Develop module was DISABLED and I'd have to renew my membership...  So, I went out looking for puppies to kick and when I came back and restarted LR, it SEEMED to work......  Who knows WHAT will work tomorrow...

  • New filters (path + spin blur) missing in my Photoshop CC 2014...?

    Hi there,
I just upgraded my Photoshop CC to the latest version (german 14.2.1 x64).
I can´t find the new filters.. Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Chris

Find the ICON on your system that launches Photoshop CC 2014.  Your screen capture shows your running Photoshop CC 14.2.1 not Photoshop CC 2014...
Also make sure you have installed CC 2014 its version 15 of Photoshop.  CC is version 14 that is what you are using.

  • Re: Missing: (Photoshop CC 2014) Filter "Blur Gallery

I updated all my Adobe applications this morning.
Missing is Photoshop > Filter > Blur Gallery
    Attached is screen shot.
I read there is a new feature in Photoshop CC 2014: Spin Blur
Where is my Photoshop CC 2014 “Blur Gallery”???
    Please advise.
    Thank you.

Solved - I used "Open With" Photoshop CC 2014
    Blur Gallery now appears.

  • Standard motion blur on 3d camera uses premature frame samples

Hi there everyone, I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed the following issue:
I have created a couple of 3D layers in AE "space", having a camera zip panning and tilting from one to the other. We're talking like 15 frames rotation moves, so worth a little blurring. Now AE creates a very nice motion blur on those zippy camera moves, be it that half of the sixteen samples needed to calculate the motion blur are taken from the frames yet to come (?????) So, especially in a 'banking' kind of rotation, causing an over time calculated spin blur, the blur itself pops in even before the camera has moved (it's like five frames 'ahead').
Does anyone of you have a similar experience? Is there a workaround without having to create every blur manually?
Oh, by the way, CC Force Time blur crashes on this because it does not like certain effects I used, like Text Anarchy and a couple of standard AE effects (??)
Please help me out on this one. It's easy to recreate this issue: create a new comp, throw in a camera and a video layer and have this video layer rotating round its Z-axis once in a five frames duration, in linear interpolation. Now switch on motion blur for this layer and the timeline. You will notice the blur appears before the video layer has started rotating and when the rotation has stopped, the motion blur is long gone. Appreciate any help, thx.

Hi Mylenium and thanks for taking the time. I appreciate it a lot, certainly when a known AE guru like you picks up a question like this one.
Unfortunately, though I have tried every offset in steps of 90 degrees up to 720, but the problems persists. Maybe a bigger offset helps? Or a negative one (if possible, haven't tried yet...)
I don't think this would be of any importance, but the layers I use are mainly AE generated text layers.... but now that I think of it, the entire camera move was imported from Cinema 4D, so every timeline frame is a lineair camera keyframe as well... 546 frames, and thus 546 keyframes for the poor 3D cam... could that be messing up the motion blur calculation.....?
I guess I will try that right after dinner. Thanks again so far, I feel honoured.

  • Blur Gallery - Using Masks

I have been working with the blur gallery using path and spin blur. After adding the blur, I open a mask to adjust the amount of the effect in specific areas. With a black brush, the mask will remove the effect, but with a white brush, it will not put the effect back, as it should with a mask. Has anyone else noticed this? Radial blur does the same thing.

You nailed it. I was in multiply blend mode. I changed it to normal and the mask works normally. Problem solved, thank you.

  • Blur gallery disabled

I was trying to use the Spin Blur, but the blur gallery is disabled for some reason. I tried converting to smart object, nothing. Why???

    Hi,
Another quick check you can try is to bypass GPU use altogether and see if that changes the behavior.
    1. Turn off OpenGL.
Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences (Mac OS).
In the Performance panel, deselect Use Graphics Processor. Click OK.
Restart Photoshop, and perform the same function.
There have been no updates to Ps core code. The CSXS Infrastructure 3.0.1 update has no bearing on what you're describing.
    regards,
    steve

  • New Features in Photoshop

I subscribe to Creative Clouds and I do not have upgraded features like blur gallery, spin blur, blur path.    Do I have to manually upgrade and how do I do that?

Creative Cloud updates/upgrades are listed on your manager, but are not installed until YOU start the process

  • I installed the latest update for photoshop CC but the new options (like spin or path blur) are still not active. What to do?

Yesterday,  installed the new updates for Photoshop CC. Photoshop tells me that it is up to date with all updates installed but still I can't use them, e.g. the blur gallery doesn't show the spin or path blur. Other new options are also not working. What should I do?

Look for Photoshop CC (2014) in your Creative Cloud application, and press the [ Update ] button next to it (which is in itself more confusing).

  • Spinning, with blur effect

    Dear all
I'm trying to create a 'spinning text effect' in Flash - a bit like a reel of a one armed bandit machine - going round counter clockwise, with a a bit of motion blur so you can't read the text whilst in the spin, with the spin slowly coming to a stop to show a line of text.
I've seen some banner ad's recently which use this effect, actually emulating 3 reel bandit machine but can't work out how it's done.
I'm using Flash CS4 - can anybody point me in the right direction please?
    Many thanks

    Hello Kurt
I had never noticed that the Transform effect scales the effects correctly as well.
    Thanks.

  • Radial Blur (spin) filter on multiple selections

Is there any way to make this filter operate separately on multiple small selections?  For example, if I want to apply the filter to many individual stars on an image of the night sky, I can easily make a selection of all the bright stars in the image, but when I apply the radial-spin filter, it operates on the total aggregated selection, rather than separately on the small selection area around each star.

Thanks for that suggestion.  I should have explained though that I'm not trying to animate or add sparkles the image. I'm using the older version of the radial filter to make individual star images smoother and more circular (rather than current egg-shaped).  Applying the filter to a small circular selection around a single star works well, but it's not practical to repeat the process very many times to apply it to every star.  Although Noel's filter doesn't do quite what I want, it does address the problem of applying the filter across multiple centres .... so there is hope!

  • Please help. my radial blur wont spin within the object im trying to blur.  solution?

when i try to radial blur this circle inside the object this is what i get.  what am i missing?  the blur center is set correctly.  im using photoshop cs6

ive tried to make the shape as a smart object and vector.  same results.  i did this in CS3 a few months ago before upgrading to CS6 and it worked in CS3.  its on its own layer.   as a matter of fact i opened a new file to see if a setting was wrong in the file im working on.  im making a business card like a cassette tape and the radial blur is for the tape itself.  the blur im getting isnt much of a radial blur.  i was wondering if for some reason CS6 blur is different from older versions.  thanks guys!  SF
