SPL & PA Line Items

Hope all is well.
I am trying to compare reports pulled in BW to R/3.
To compare the SPL detail I am using CX34 ... I am using KE24 for PA... Can someone suggest any other way I can do this?? And what tables can I run for SPL & PA to check?

I dunno much about programs...but i was looking online to understand what this program SAPF070 is all about.... it looks like this compares FI total items info from BSEG & GLT0 SPL info.

SPL - Deactivating Line Item Table - Trx GCL3
Hi.....
We currently have SPL ledger line item table activated.
That table is getting rather large and therefore increasingly costly in terms of performance and database cost.
We believe it is not strictly necessary given that we have FIGL account line item tables to support the audit trail.
In terms of deactivating - is it merely deselecting in Trx GCL3? Are there any implications?

Yes. You just need to uncheck the checkbox 'Write Line Items' in transaction code GCL2. -
Line Item Text not updated in SPL
Hi All,
Can anyone help me in this regard.
When we change the Line Item Text in FI document the same has not been updated in SPL. Can anyone know the required configuration to be done in order to populate the changed items in SPL.
Any help is highly appreciated.

a text change in general ledger line item will not be forwarded to spec. ledger automatically (as the change of a line item text triggers no posting to spec. ledger).
But as you know the document relationship from GL doc. to SL doc go to the corresponding SL doc. and change the text if this is really needed (don't understand why the line item text is that important).

Delivery line item with E spl stock
Hi All,
I have an issue with delivery line item which shows E as spl stock but this should happen only when the PO acc *** has M (SO ref) but in my PO it has K (cost center).
When there is a K in PO and if a delivery is created why there is E in line item ?Hi,
The special stock indicator mustnot be on 'E' in VOV7 trx.
Please check your delivery item category.

Need urgent help to generate SPL Data Sources for Line Items
Hi All,
I am trying to extract the Special Purpose Ledger Data from R/3 into BW. To do this, I am following the steps to generate the Data Sources for Totals table and Lien Items Table.
Using Transaction BW01 and BW03 on the R/3 side, I am able to generate the Totals Record-DataSource successfully.
But I am not able to generate the Line Items-DataSource. I am using the same procedure.
Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction. Are there any other settings I need to make to generate the Line Items-DataSource. Interestingly, I am able to generate the Line Items-DataSource for some other old ledgers in the System like ZZ and ZX. But I need the Line Items-DataSource from a ledger called ZP for which I am having trouble.
I would greatly appreciate if someone can get back to me ASAP.During BW01, The Generate extract structure is fine for both Total and Line Item Table.The issue is when we run tcode bw03 where you assign the datasource to a ledger.
Here, I can assign only for the Total Records data source and NOT for the Line Items-DataSource.
I hope I could explain the issue. Looking forward for some advice. -
KR doc type posted without vendor line item a mandatory item category
Hello Gurus,
We have SPL document splitter activated in our ECC system. We have the business transaction variant 0300 / Z001 assigned to doc type KR. The vendor line is obligatory in the above business transaction variant (BTV). THe splitting rule is also assigned for this BTV.
THe problem is that despite having the vendor as obligatory for this BTV, we are able to post the doc type KR (vendor invoice) without the vendor line item e.g.. doc with doc type KR and debit and credit to expense a/c.
Please share your experience if anyone has come across this issue,

To make the vendor line mandatory for KR document type, you can write the validation as below:-
Step 1:-
Create a message ID via transaction code SE91 for message class /EACC/MSG/ACC_COMP as you want to display to user.
Step 2:-
Go to transaction GGB0 and create the validation step at complete document level in Financial Accounting as below:-
Pre Requisits:-
BKPF-BLART = 'KR'.
Check:-
Create a exit code using user exit and check that line items have at least one vendor line item.
For this take the help of ABAPer and create a copy of the program RGGBR000 and code your check here and assign to the application area GBLR in view V_T80D via transaction code SM30.
Message:-
Message created in step 1 as error message.
Step 3:-
Please also check that this validation has active status (Status=1) at line complete document level (level 3) for your company code in transaction OB28.

if it is changed to 3011193 then only different SO.

based on VBKD-BSTKD_E line items has to create.
if VBKD-BSTKD_E = 3011192 is like 4 records in excel means for these 4 should be one SO
if it is changed to 3011193 then only different SO.
PLs If any one knows solution pls write some sample code for me.

Instead of using BDC , why dont you make use of BAPI.
As you are on ECC, you can make use of BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2
Collect all your records based on PO # and pass them into line item table structure ORDER_ITEMS_IN.
*--Logic something like this.
loop at it_exceldata into l_line.
loop at it_exceldata into l_so where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd.
*This will loop at all the same PO#
*collect the data related into corr tables. and append
endloop.
*Now you are outside the loop.
*Call the BAPI to update this SO
delete it_exceldata where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd_e.
endloop.
Also pass all the necessary data to header structure ORDER_HEADER_IN
Do not check for Sy-subrc at the end of execution.
Instead read the Return table with message type 'A' or 'E whichi means there is an error/abort in BAPI execution.
Remember to expicitly COMMIT_WORK after succesfull execution of BAPI using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT

Copy fields during vendor line item transfer posting

We want to transfer the vendor invoice line item to a special GL indicator line item. Would like to know how to copy the fields like document date, net due date, Reference field, Purchasing document number from the original invoice line item to newly created line item.

you could use a batch recording (BDC) through which this can be achieved.
check if the fields you require are available in the posting key for SPL GL .document date, net due date, Reference field, Purchasing document number else open up the field in field status group for Posting key and GL account.

Hi,
When I do F-54 (Clear Vendor Down Paments) after doing entering amount in Transfer posting and when I stimulate and try to save it gives me message saying "Correct the Marked Line Items" So it shows me on of the line itesm in blue color and when I double click it takes me to Item level and then I entered the Text and save the document. Then in FBL1N its gets clear by one document and the cleared document show its been open.
Can some one explaing me I am doing some thing wrong .

What you are doing is absolutely right.
When you make a downpayment using special gl indicator, the vendor line time gets posted to SPECIAL RECONCILIATION ACCOUNT instead of normal reconciliation account assigned in vendor master.
F-54 is used for bringing the vendor line item from special recon account to normal recon account.
So the same vendor gets debited (spl recon-cleared) and credited (normal recon-Open)
This new credit items will be cleared with payment.

Hi All,
I have one problem with the client requirement.
Customer having the debit balance of 100000 for one invoice with Cash discount of Rs 2000
Client received the payment from that customer say 120000. So after adjusting the above invoice and cash discount the remaining amount should post as advance.
I posted the document with all the correcte line items as
BANK DR 1200000
CASH DISCOUNT DR 20000
CUSTOMER SPL GL A CR 220000
CUSTOMER (INVOICE CLG) CR 1000000
But when i go and see in FBL5N, in the cleared items it is showing only two items-- one is invoice clearing with 100000 and another clearing document with 1000000.
But the client requires the customer should show all the items of Cash discount and bank payment.
Is it possible to show all the items in the ledger?

sivathe posting to the discount account is a GL account and FBL5N will only show customer open and cleared items.
You probably want to show the client FB03 instrad, display accounting document. -
SKB1 is displaying unrelated/extra line items.

I am encountering one problem which is related to KSB1 transaction. It's displaying extra line items which are not related to actual line items . Here is the scenario
Actual Assessment Cycle contains one segment :
Segment1 : Sender Cost Center group CG(C1,C2,C3,C4)1---All these cost centers are associated with functional area FA
Cost element : 942XXXX
Receiver Cost Center C5,C6,C7,C8----All these cost centers are associated with functional area FA.
Amount $10
After executing the assessment cycle when go to KSB1 it's displaying the following line items
Doc No Celement Val in currency Cost center partner cost center Ref Doc No f unctional area Posting date

I don't know why it's showing the line items which are realted to FA1 and these cost centers ARE assigned to functional area FA not to FA1.Does any one know from where it's pulling this information?Does any one know how it derives the functional area here. I don't know which table has this information(COEP,COEA,CCSS...?) How to fix this?

What is happening in the system is standard SAP behaviour.. In case you do not want Down Payments to be updated in the system, please follow the steps below:-
1. Create a new Field status group as a copy of G067 and make it say Z067(Assets field suppressed here) and assign it to Vendor related recon accounts(Spl GL A)
2. After this, when you create a down payment request in F-47, you will receive an error message F5 378
3. Go to transaction OBA5, enter work area as F5 and chnage the message no 378 to Warning (W)
This setting will not generate additional line items.

Line item disapperaed in F-32 but appeared in FBL5N.
When we are trying to clear the open line item via F-32 for a customer where we are not able to see the all the open line item which are displayed in FBL5N, need help to fix this issue.

Please enter the special GL indicator in selection screen of F-32, those used while posting of those customer open items.
If you have multiple spl gl indicators, combine them and enter there.

APP-Line Item in diff. currency
Dear all,
There is a line item in vendor records, posted in diff. currency (other than company code corrency).
While APP (F110) system not paying that amount, showing the following message:
ayment method selection for items due now to the amount of SGD 1.000,00
items with currency SGD, pmnt method - items total is > 0
none of the payment methods defined can be used for these items
ormation re. vendor XXXXXX / paying company code XXXX ...
payment not possible because of reported error
Guide me, wht is the procedure to go further.

One more clarity is required. That - I want to clear the Spl GL item also. Means business want to net of the cash advances (Spl GL Ind. A). So, I maintained in FBZP
Sp. G/L transactions to be paid A.
But I am not able to cleare these items at f110.
Message: ...none of the payment methods defined can be used for these items
Please clear my problem.
