Splash screen Only

So for some odd reason Flash Media Live Encoder decided not to run anymore. When I try to run the program the splash screen appears, goes away and.... Nothing happens, I have uninstalled rebooted reinstalled, rebooted a couple times and still nothing happens
I have a windows 7, 64 bit pc and the version of FMLE is 3.1 please help thanks

It looks like a problem with the default video device present on your machine. Do one thing - search for the startup.xml file (should be there in your user folder) and change the video device tag's value to 1. If that doesn’t work out delete the startup.xml file. If nothing works, disable audio-video devices one-by-one on your machine and run FMLE. Basically, you need to find out the device which is creating problems for FMLE.

Hi,
Everything in my Java web start application works perfectly but, the custom splash screen only shows up when command line is used ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>javaws -verbose http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp"), if I use the shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu, the Java 7 splash screen shows up (tested under Windows Vista and Seven). Does someone have any clues?

I made some researches :
- The link in the generated shorcuts ("C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaws.exe -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp "C:\Users\Arnaud\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\46\69c1e9ee-1f252d1a") is not the same as the one I use in the command line ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin>javaws -verbose http://www.xxx.eu/AcSentVivresCrus/AcSentJnlp/AcSent.jnlp"). Is there a way in the the JNLP file to tell how to generate shortcuts (not the icon, etc., but command line options)?
- This sample (https://blogs.oracle.com/thejavatutorials/entry/changing_the_java_web_start) displays the splash screen when I click on the the generated shortcuts (I use Windows 7). I have copied the ButtonDemo jar file and the JNLP file on my IIS web server (Windows 2008 Server), this time the splash screen does not show up when I click the generated shortcuts but always shows up when I use the command line. Can someone tell me if it is a trouble with IIS ?

Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements Splash Screen Only, Then Closes (Windows 7 PC)

Help!
Having a very tough time getting up and running with Photoshop and Premiere Elements 12 on my WIndows 7 desktop. Got everything installed, but when I try to open either product, the splash screen opens, the product is up for a few seconds, then it closes. How can I get it up and running? I see Adobe does not have free phone support with version 12 of the elements family. I understand that, but if I can't get it to run I will have to return it and slog on with my elements version 7 products. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks Bob and Barbara. I did try uninstalling and reinstalling with Norton 360 turned off and selective startup only windows required programs running in the background. There is nothing displayed in the bottom left of the splash while it is open, unfortunately. I was with Premiere Elements phone chat on hold but they have transferred me to the Photoshop Elements team where hopefully they will be able to get on my computer and fix this. The Premiere guy said the proble with Premiere is because of the Photoshop elements organizer before he transferred me. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will help me or I may have to return it and go back to version 7 of this duo. It's old, but at least it works. Thanks

After Effects CS6 wont open splash screen only PLEASE HELP

when i start up the splash screen comes up for like 3 seconds and closes thats whats been happeninf for over 3 days and im on a busy schedule editing my short movie please help imidiate answers needed i tried reinstalling, updating, changin folders and installing, i cleared the 10.0 and 11.0 folders in the appdata i dont know what else to do i even restarted many times nothing is helping please someone reply at the earlies

EAX splash screen only - not able to start the main menu Zen Xtra 3

I have purchased this six months ago. Warranty expired. When I turned the mp3 player, the EAX logo appears but does not do anything. I tried to setup using the clip. But no luck. Any suggestions...

But I still have problem with loading the songs. It says the palyer is busy.
I formated the hard disk and it does formats, it does cleanup and loads the OS on the the Zen. For a while, thought it could the hard dri've, but it does formats the dri've. What is the latest firmware for this player?. It takes long to appear the rescue mode after powering the player.
Any idea ?

Lightroom cc 6 does not open or start up. Splash screen only.

Java Splash Screen

Hey Everyone,
I can't for the life of me get the Java SpashScreen to work. I have tried to run the example provided at [http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/misc/splashscreen.html] however no matter how I try to run it i always get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong.
I would eventually like to package my splash screen into a jar file for my application but first I would like to get the demo to work.

I think where you are going wrong is when you assume that error message has something to do with the fact that you're trying to use a splash screen. Since splash screens only display an image and don't require loading any classes, I would expect that messages about failing to load a class aren't related to your use of splash screens.

EA3 - On vista, only splash screen [fixed]

I run SQL Developer 1.2.1.3213 on Vista without any problem.
With EA3, the splash screen appear for a few seconds only and nothing more. No error message.
Any idea ?

Did you do a clean install of EA3? Yes, a clean install.
Did you test EA2? Yes but on XP only (and it was working without problem), now I had a new PC at work and it come with Vista and I don't have EA2 anymore.

Only Splash screen then it crashes

I'm testing a new App, I download the iap file and drag it to itunes, it download OK in the iPAD but when I clik on the App icon it shows only the Splash screen for few seconds and then the ipad's screen return to the original status showing all the App icons, it also happens when I click on the Adobe viewer icon but all the other Apps are OK, Any bug ?? some suggestion ??

The image sequence require a lot of RAM to run. It shouldn't be topping your available RAM out (which should be around 10MB) but with the app launch and the immediate launch of the image sequence it is possible there is a RAM issue.
Unfortuently there isn't any good way to test RAM usage that I know of (if anyone else knows a good way, without a jailbreak, I'd be happy to hear about it) but I would suggest completely turning your device off (hold the top power button until the "Swipe to Power Off" appears) and turning it back on and then testing. If that doesn't work, I would rebuild and remove the image sequence from the first page. That will hopefully tell you if it's a problem with the build or with the content.

Only portrait splash screen (no landscape) for app

Is it possible for a DPS app created in App Builder to only have a portrait splash screen?
As in, our company does not want a landscape splash screen embedded.
Portrait splash screen could be rotated; however, this would add unnecessary size to the footprint of the download.

For my portrait-only apps I always create both splash screens, using rotated portrait as landscape.
The overhead on the app size is minimal, and not worth worrying about.

A2109AF tablet is only displaying the startup splash screen

so as i was working today as i had my tablet plugged up to the wall charger to charge and at a point several hours later i hear the startup sound so i grab the tablet and look at it and it is displaying only the startup splash screen, i have already tried to do a hard reboot with no luck so i wiped it and when i press the power button to turn it on it is still doing the same thing... any ideas?

My Playbook only boots the Splash Screen

My Blackberry Playbook will only load the splash screen. When I push the power to turn the Playbook on it gives me a red light for 3 seconds then go to the Blackberry splash screen. The good news is that when I hook it up the my computer via usb, it recognizes it. Then I can gain access to it but the problem is I dont carry my laptop around with me. This all stemmed when I was on vacation and I was trying to connect to the resort wifi (the antenna was down) and it froze up. I had to turn it off and then on again but to realize I was only to get the splash screen. HELP ME PLEASE!

Phone vibrates 5 times and goes black, only fully boots while plugged into USB at splash screen

I have an HTC Droid Incredible with stock firmware 2.2 and it will no longer boot properly. The phone is not rooted or altered in any way.
When the power button is pressed, the phone shows the HTC Incredible splash screen, vibrates 5 times, and the screen goes black and the LED light flashes green over and over until the battery is pulled out.
Strangely enough, if the phone is plugged into a PC via USB or a charger during that splash screen for a few seconds (at least 5), it DOES boot up to the OS and seemingly works fine, but the SD card and internal storage is listed as "unavailable". I can also access the HBOOT menu by holding volume- while turning the phone on.
The phone then functions until the next time it needs to be rebooted, or if you attempt to plug it in via USB again (only when attached to a PC) and remove it, then it vibrates 5 times and goes black once again. If you repeat the battery pull and USB plug-in process it works again.
I've been able to successfully return it to the factory setting, reflash the stock ROM via SD from the HBOOT menu and from a RUU from my PC, but it doesn't fix the issue. The SD card has been reformatted properly and error checked and can be accessed from a card reader... just not while it is in the phone.
Pretty weird issue that's driving me crazy.

This reply in that link is what I am suggesting should have been implemented in the Droid 4:
“Just adding my 2 cents. Found this to be odd with my new phone. Previous WM6.1 phone I would sync and charge overnight with my PC and let both 'sleep' when done. WM6 must be closing the port when the USB power drops so not to deplete the battery.
Just one more quirk with the new device.”
There is no reason for current leakage into a sleeping computer because of keeping data lines open. It should be easy enough to shut down the usb port when a voltage drop is detected in on the power pins. In any case, hopefully my posting will at least alleviate some anxiety for someone down the line. The procedure gets the phone back up and running in an expedient manner. Thanks for your research.

Splash screen show only once and never again

I have the followign line in jnlp file:

The images are in the root directory of the app.
When download link is clicked on the web page, I saw the splash screen come up only once. It never shows again. Application downloads and creates an icon on desktop. The desktop icon was not showing up but started showing, I don't know how. But the splash screen never shows. Any ideas?

I would suggest you check the entire launch in JaNeLA. If fixing whatever errors it reports does not fix the problem, post your JNLP file(s) here (complete, not snippets).
