Split screen software of LG ultra wide monitor won't start with windows 7 installed with VMWare Fusion
I am using split screen sofware of LG but it is not working for me with vmware fusion 7. Is this a known problem? I am using an ultra wide monitor of LG (29um65), and installed windows 7 on my mac, by using VMware Fusion. But the software won't work of LG. It won't start. LG can't help me, because normally the software is working by using windows 7 on a windows pc. I got it also working on a mac , when I used other virtual software as Virtualbox VM, but it seems not to work with vmware fusion 7. Can somebody help me with this problem?
yes, I think you are right, but I used virtual box in the past, and had no problem with the LG software, so it has also to do wit VMWare Fusion I think.
Never the less we still don't have a solution :-)

It looks like you may need a mini-displayport to Displayport cable. You can also try holding the option key while clicking on "scaled" to see if the option you need comes up.

HT4744 LG ultra wide monitor at end of TB chain flickers
I have problems getting my LG ultra wide monitor to work at the end of my Thunderbolt chain.
There is a Datatale thunderbolt raid enclosure with 4 drives and a Universal Audio Apollo audio interface with thunderbolt option card installed. From there I have a mini-displayport to displayport cable to my LG ultrawide screen.
The screen flickers from time to time, or turns off completely, accompanied by big spikes in the audio sometimes.
It's very frustrating and an unworkable situation for me at the moment.
Is anyone else experiencing these problems and/or has anyone found a solution?Yes I have the same issue. I'm daisychaining an Apollo Quad to my display using the Thunderbolt expansion and my Macbook Pro. LG UltraWide doesn't work in any configuration and I've tried another monitor which works fine.
Did you find a solution?
Maybe the LG needs more bandwidth than the Apollo can give when daisychained? I dunno I'm just guessing.

I have a maginon film scanner bought from ALDI. It works with windows but with OSX Maverick software it keeps crashing as soon as I try and capture an image. I cannot find details of software updates anywhere.

I just popped in with using Mavericks (I got rid of my MBP about a year ago, and just got another one when I got an Air for my wife) and noticed that Mavericks is not working and playing well with a couple of programs I already owned (Paraellels, for example...yes, I spelled it wrong...). I looked for maginon.com and it didn't exist, nor was my google search directed to another location for them, so I postulate that the device may not be in production anymore, thus: no driver updates from the manufacturer.
From my mac-noob-layman's perspective: get some vmware, run windows and use the scanner in your virt machine to capture your images. Put the images in your mac side and work your mac magic on them there.

Split Screen software for iMac???
Is there a software available that effectively splits the iMac screen into two monitors like a dual monitor setup? And yes, I can certainly resize two windows side by side on the screen but there are definitely functional limitations to that.

I updated SW monitor to newest version and it won't start. It says starting and gets stuck at about %80. I uninstalled it and tried install fresh, same. I do have it running on WIN10 newest preview though.

Elite 8300 Ultra Slim Computers won't start.
Over a period of 2 months 4 out of 6 new Elite 8300 Ultra Slim Desktops failed to start. The computers were brought new 10 months ago. The green poer light is on but they will not start. We use them in Samoa, but they are in an airconditioned office, so overheating was not an issue. Is this a problem with this model. Dealing with HP from our island is a mission, perhaps the forum can offer some assistance.

So far, we just could divide the screen left to right instead of top to bottom. There is no other way to do it.

I am having a problem and I am not sure how I caused it or how I can fix it.
when I try to start system monitor I get this following error.

W2207h monitor won't pivot in Windows 8.1
My w2207h monitor used to pivot very nicely on Windows 7 but after updating to Windows 8 and then 8.1 it won't pivot. I've been through the various controls but nothing seems to work. I downloaded and installed what seems to be the latest drivers (64 bit) and it still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

USB-8473s Bus Monitor Won't Start

I have an 8473s USB CAN module I am trying to get working.
I have MAX 5.5 and CAN 2.7.5 on Windows 7
The 8473s sometimes starts with a nice yellow USB light, sometimes with one that flashes green-yellow, sometimes one that flashes in a pattern yellow two short two long (I think, it's been a while since this one happened and I didn't take good notes on the pattern)
I can expand Devices and Interfaces, and then NI-CAN Devices, and then USB-8473s. Then in the right pane I click on Bus Monitor. And that's the last thing I can do before I have to task kill MAX.
Sometimes I am able to Self Test the unit, sometimes not. Bus Monitor used to take a long time then pop up a confusing message: "NI-CAN: (Hex 0xBFF62103) The firmware of the CAN or LIN hardware no longer responds to commands from the Windows driver, usually due to frequent CAN/LIN or timer interrupts. Solution: For CAN, use comparator/mask (filter) properties to reduce received trafic." After that the Bus Monitor would show it's user interface, but if I tried to Start, it would go Not Responding and never come back (or at least not after a half an hour).
I have two 8473s units, and both respond the same. I have tried different USB ports with no difference. I have tried to repair the CAN 2.7.5 driver, and it did not help.
What else should I do to get Bus Monitor to work?
I wish I had a PCI CAN interface. I don't trust the USB.

The machine that is the subject of the original post is the customer equipment. It is an Advantech industrial PC.
I tried it on my development system, a Lenovo Laptop, and it works perfectly.
My current best guess is an incompatibility with the Advantech, some kind of motherboard driver or USB thing. Ugh.

Activity Monitor won't run after leopard install
The only problem i'm having is that when i try and load Activity Monitor it bounces once and crashes. No amount of relaunches and reset/relaunches fixes the problem.
Any ideas? I've also tried launching the old tiger version of Activity Monitor that is on one of my SuperDuper backup external drives, but no luck.

ConradI apologize for the poor formatting. I did a filter for Activity and found these references to the crash. It looks like i'm missing a framework required for displaying the graphs that activity monitor uses. Any advice on how to go about replacing that?

When I start my computer the monitor remains dark and the initial tone does not sound. Then the only way to shut down the computer is to unplug it. When I start it again with it starts normally, but the date and time settings are gone.
I'd try replacing the battery first. If you have small fingers, you can get it out through the trap door without unscrewing anything.
