Split screen - two videos same size

Planning an interview and like to reacord a skype call - where I and my interview partner have the same size of the screen - how does that work? All the bestAnna Caroline, Berlin

Hi Nicky
As Bev. describes in iMovie. Best way !
In FinalCut Express this is very easy. Picture in picture to Video-wall is so easy to do.
Each video on it's own track (up to 99) and turn on VireFrame and change size so that each
video has proper size and place. It's done.
Just the easy ability to change size and rotation (parts of a degree) can do so much difference.

  • How to split image into smaller (same size) pieces?

    Hi all,
My question is how to split image into smaller (same size) pieces, using Photoshop elements 13? Could anyone help me with this one?
    Thanks!

Use the Expert tab in Editor (I think that is what it is called in PSEv.13)
You may find the grid helpful. Go to View>Grid. It will not print, but will help to orient you. You can set up the gridlines to suit via Edit>Preferences>Guides and Grid. If you want to partition the picture in to 4 uniform pieces, it would be Gridline every 50%, Subdivision 1. Also, go to View>Snap to>Grid.
Set up the Rectangular marquee tool: If the picture is 6" wide & 4" high, enter width=3in & height=2in.on the tool's option bar. This will be a fixed size.
Click and select one quadrant, press CTRL+J to place this quadrant on a separate layer
Repeat for the other 3 quadrants
You should end up with 5 layers : Background, and layers 1, 2, 3, 4.

  • Witch software can i use to do split screen on video editing on a macbook

witch software can i use to do split screen on video editing on a macbook pro
please apple people without using the very expensive final cut

iMovie 11 has split screen. Enable the Advanced Tools in iMovie Preferences. Then drag one clip on top of the other and choose split screen.
Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro will allow you to do this with a lot more control.

  • How to get the preview and edit screen on the same size?

    Hi!
I have a question about Adobe Premiere Pro cs6. When I import a video, the size is normal in the preview screen (the actual video's size), but when I insert it into the edit screen, it zooms in a little bit and I don't see everything in the video.
Though my settings are 'fit' and '1/2' for the preview window and also 'fit' and '1/2' for the edit window.
Does anyone what could be wrong? Or does anyone know how I can reset the settings to the factory defaults?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lotte

When I drag clips from source to timeline, they automatically are zoomed in. What do I do?

  • How do i stop firefox from causing screen blackouts, split screens and video dots from appearing on my macbook pro mavericks 10.9?

for the last 2 days, after upgrading firefox, every time i launch firefox v25 it is causing my macbook pro 17" (early 2011 build) running mavericks 10.9 to have screen issues. The screen blacks out, or splits into two (the left 1/3rd section of the screen is shown on the right side) or causes hundreds of 2x2 flashing pixels randomly scattered across the screen to appear. I have turned off the acceleration options. I have tried upgrading to v25 beta, its not working. I have tested this about 25 times with various programs running and the ONLY time I have this issue is when I have a firefox browser screen running (its OK if I shut all screens but have the top bar only showing), so it is definitely an issue with firefox.

    Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
    * [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
    * [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • Split Screen for Video?

Hi! I am putting together a PDF that has a video on the last page.  Throughout the PDF I have various links seeking to a specific time on the video page.  I would prefer to keep the video up at all times, rather than have the links jump to the video page and then seek to time.  Is there a way to do this?  Id love to have the video in a static page on the right and the rest of the PDF able to scroll on the left.  Many thanks!!
    Melanie

    Thanks Dave,
I'm attempting to just have the video in the PDF one time- as its an hour long interview and it will keep it to a more managable size.  Each page of the PDF (in this case there are 12) has time codes on it with annotations that refer to that section of the interview.   I want the video to open and seek to time-which I can make happen easy enough- but I can only make it happen by jumping to the page with the video on it and then you wont be able to read the annotation.  I can also make it open in a floating window but it just looks so clunky.  Do you have any other suggestions?  I can edit the video so it's in clips according to the time codes, but I like the idea of being able to watch further if you are listening.  This may be my best option and then they can listen further when they get to the next page.  Just checking to see if there are any other options.  Thanks again for your time!!
    Cheers,
    Melanie

  • Split screen causes artifacting in images - what is the solution?

After creating a four image split screen (two frames on top, two frames on the bottom), the images in each box suffer from extreme artifacting. By that I mean the images breaks down. For example, grass that in the original images is clearly and cleanly visible, suddenly becomes very "noisy" once I have added it to the split screen.
I have gone through several attempted solutions, but have all failed to solve the problem.
The degradation is most noticable when I export to a Mpeg2 and burn to a DVD, but I have eliminated the possibility that it is breaking down in the Mpeg2 conversion. Instead, it seems to be happening within Final Cut Pro.
Can anyone offer suggestions that might help?

Patrick. Thanks very much for jumping in.
For clarification, the images in the split screens are not photos. They are films. Four films in four boxes playing on the screen at the same time. Therefore, correct me if I'm wrong, your Photoshop advice doesn't work here. Also, I do not have Motion.
I took a look at the suggestion in your final paragraph. I have Final Cut Pro HD 4.5, but nevertheless went through your suggested workflow. Ctrl-clicked on the sequence - selected settings - clicked on the Video Processing tab. I don't have a sampling setting as you indicate per se, but I did try changing the only apparently appropriate setting in FCP 4.5, which was to change from Render in 8-bit YUV to Render all YUV material in High Precision YUV. This took twice as long to render the sequence, but unfortunately had no positive effect.
So, I am still in the position of having 4 great looking videos sequences, that I am trying to combine into one 4-squared split screen, but when I do so each of the four sequences deteriorates substantially.
Do you have any other suggestions? I would be grateful for your experience.

  • Problem with split screen quicktime movie to iDVD

hey folks, i've just spent two 6-hour renderings for naught and have the following problem:
    QT Pro 6.5.2
    iDVD 5
    OS 10.3.9
I pulled together a Quicktime movie consisting of talking head interview, then split screen (two clips simultaneously), back to talking head, then split screen again, etc etc.
the first time i rendered the composite Quicktime movie to iDVD, my split screen background was a sickly lime green color. blech
so, i added a black slide in TIFF format ONLY to the split screen video portions. played around with the Layers property until my split screen video clips were in front of the black background. recut and pasted my full Quicktime movie again.
However, upon my second iDVD rendering, a funny thing ocurred. Now, when the DVD gets to a split screen portion, the VERY LAST FRAME OF THE PREVIOUS TALKING HEAD CLIP freezes, and appears in the background of my split screen clips.
    What gives?
I plan to do some testing, but sure would like to shortcut this problem, it's eating away at my weekend and i need to get this project done.
thanks for any insight you can give

  • Flash Player 10.2 - Fix for split screen problem on Youtube

Just to let users and support staff know, I have had this problem on two separate Windows XP systems now. The problem also manifests itself on other websites (e.g. Liveleak.com, Dailymotion.com) and is also experiencing crashes. These are reported by me in the vague hope it might make a difference to the product's quality.
I have solved it by Right-Mouse Clicking on the offending split-screen flash video and going to Settings, Display. Once there I have disabled the Hardware Acceleration feature and hey presto, all is working again.
When Adobe issue a fix, I'll turn it back on again.
       Regards to all.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Yes that does help in many cases. Sometimes updating the device drivers also.
The hardware acceleration sometimes can't be used by every system. You can read about the system requirements and what and how it works here:

  • How to get split screen on Lenovo Yoga Pro 2?

Hi! I recently purchased a lenovo pro 2 and I am loving it. Just one quick question, though. I know your able to have split screen (two completely separate windows on the same display, i.e have Google Chrome on the right half of the screen, and say Word on the other half of the screen). And I am not talking about Windows Snap Window feature.  I thought this was possible to do but have no clue on how to activate it. Thanks for any help in advance!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

split screen only works on metro apps. you need to use the snap for desktop apps. You can run Metro IE and split screen it with MS Word.

  • How to get photos to show as same size

I transfered photos from iPhoto to Aperture.
Many of the photos were taken with different cameras or a film scanner or downloaded from an email.
in iPhoto they show in the view screen as the same size, IOW's they fill the entire view window screen.
In Aperture they are different sizes, I am thinking based on file size.
Is there a way to adjust the view screen to have all the images fill the screen without adjusting the image (enlarge) size.
    Example:
To fill the screen with my Nikon DLSR's the screen is 33% but my Film scanner Tiff photos need a 100% to fill the screen.
I hope I explained the issue properly.
    Greg

    Greg,
I'm unable to replicate your problem. I found a project in my library which has 3:2 aspect ratio DSLR photos, as well as 4:3 point-and-shoot photos. I switched to the "Viewer" mode, and I can arrow back and forth between them and they will as much of the viewer as possible.
Is there a way to adjust the view screen to have all the images fill the screen without adjusting the image (enlarge) size.
    What is the "view screen"?
To fill the screen with my Nikon DLSR's the screen is 33% but my Film scanner Tiff photos need a 100% to fill the screen.
How exactly are you viewing your photos? Do you have zoom on, trying to view the photos?

Don't believe all the rumors you read. Rumors that purport that Apple will release a model of iPad with a smaller screen have been around for a couple of years, and so far have not come to pass, though of course that's no guarantee for the future. I strongly doubt that Apple would abandon the current screen size even if they were to release another iPad model with a smaller screen.
Anyway, if you want to comment to Apple, you can do so here:

  • Sync audio with two different video files to create split screen

I want to sync two different video files to a high quality audio file and create a split screen from there in Final Cut Pro X. Help please?

I'm following along at home, Tom, trying to make sense out of your instructions. (Editorially: This kind of operation is among the reasons I thoroughly loathe FCPX.) This would have been easy in FCP7. Perhaps it's actually the same amount of work (you are describing operations in FCPX I have not bothered to try yet—too scared) but it's far more direct the old way: Find sync points for all three files, stack them up in a timeline, nudge till precisely matched, apply effects.
But I'm glad you're here to help us through this stuff!

  • I need a flash player that does split screen with two "like" videos

I am a newbie on Flash and really need some guidance or a source code to work off of.  I need a flash player that I can have two videos, overlayed with a mask at 50% on each so I see half of one video on the right and half of the other video on the left, thus split screen.
We are trying to show off the same video with a before and after effect or show processed video on one side and non-processed video on the other.
If anyone has a sample or knows how to do this, I would be interested in talking with them.
    Thanks in advance.

Basically the two videos are identical except what was processed on the post
file.  So ideally we would want:
    Video 1 (left side 50%)
    Video 2 (right side 50%)
One controller with play, pause and full screen.
