Split storage locations into bin locations

Is it possible to split storage locations into bin locations without using warehouse management?

Hi,
You can set up as many storage locations as you need and so COULD have one storage location for each BIN (there is only a one-to-one relationship and so you can't use multiple bins in the same location without WM).
But if you have lots of BINS then you should really be using WM.

Adopt Storage Location into Purchase Requisition

Hi all,
We plan some materials on storage location level with reorder points. As soon as the stock falls below the reorder point MRP creates a new purchase req. but the storage location field in the PR is blank.
I already tried to use the field 'storage loc. for ext. procurement' on the MRP1 view of the mat. master. But this has only impacts when I convert the PR into a PO.
As the demand for the material is on storage location level, I thought there should be a way to get the storage loc. into the PR.

Hi,
If you want to plan your materials seperately for each storage location then you need to activate MRP at storage location level first in IMG:
SPROMaterials ManagementConsumption based planning>Planning>Define Storage Location MRP per Plant
and maintain MRP indicator as 2,
similarily maintain indicator 2 in material master, and then fix the reorder levels for each seperately.
After this system will create seperate PR for each sloc.

1) we have a senario for our cliant , for which it is required to enter a 6 or 7 storage bin locations for a single part which is created in materials master without having a WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT .
2) User can enter a quantity while doing GR in to that all locations.
3) reports based on stock avialble in all storage locations ( like MMBE)

Storage bin used in IM is stored in table MARD. Key fields in table MARD are: client/plant/storage location. So you can have only one storage bin for a plant/storage location combination - even if you want to have more.
If you want more than one storage bin per storage location you have to use warehiuse management.
That's all.

Can we integrate SAP PM functional location into sap ehs waste management?
We have already imported functional location into Incident Management.
The requirement is that we need to somehow integrate either functional location of PM or location of Incident Management
to EH&S Waste Management module.
Any comments/ideas would be highly appreciated !!

Through this IMG activity you can integrate Waste Management business partner to other objects. What you have asked should be possible. But default settings provided with this IMG activity are,
You can integrate Business partner to,
1. Plant
2. Company Code
3. Cost Center
4. Controlling Area
5. Order
6. Customer
7. Vendor
8. Storage Location
9. Plant for Storage Location
You can see this in the structure, “EHSWAS_MDINTO”.

Environment, Health & Safety -> Waste Management -> Master Data -> Basic Settings for Master Data -> Specify Object Types for Integration.
“A waste management business partner can be identical to other objects in the SAP System, for example, a plant, a company code, or a cost center. In the master data for the Waste Management component, you can also assign a waste management business partner the object in the SAP System to which it is identical.
In this IMG activity you specify which object types you can assign to the waste management business partners.
Standard settings:
Default settings are delivered. You cannot change these settings, but you can add more settings.”

Use Batch Number for bin location

if I not use WM module, can I use batch number for bin location instead.
I will set naming convention for batch number to represent bin location.

You can use it, but I wont suggest it. The batch specifies a group of materials produced with same recipe or with same characteristics.
If you use BIN location as batch name, suppose you transfer post from one storage location to another storage location where the bin location change and the batch number remains the same. It will simply create confusion.

Currently our clients do not use the bin location function in SAP. They have a UDF called bin location on the batch details screen.
We would like to setup bin locations using the SAP Bin Location functionality. However the client is not happy with how the bin locations work in SAP.

e.g. Location 3A1 is not specific to a warehouse. It is a bin location that can be in any warehouse. e.g. A01, J01, etc.
So in essence bin location 2A1 can contain items that was receipted into warehouse A01 and warehouse J01. The bin location is not specific to a warehouse.
Is there a way to setup the bin location without specifying it for a specific warehouse. They do not want the bin location to be created as
"A01-1A1"
"J01-1A1"
Any ideas would be appreciated,

How Do I Move Local OneDrive Storage Folder to Another Location?

Howdy,
I've just installed the new 9926 build and wanted to sync my OneDrive data. I am using native VHD boot and so OneDrive setup wizard automatically chose the local
%USERPROFILE%\OneDrive folder as a local storage for the data obtained from OneDrive.
However, I don't want the data to be stored on my VHD drive. The OneDrive wizard didn't provide any Back button to change settings for the local storage location, so I had to use the location I've chosen.
Now how do I move the OneDrive folder to another location? Previously you could right-click OneDrive folder, chose Properties and change the location on the Location tab. Now there isn't such a tab.
Is it a step back in usability for OneDrive feature?
How do I move local OneDrive cache folder to another location?

I've found out that you have to unlink OneDrive from your PC and repeat configuration steps to change the location of OneDrive folder on your PC, just like you did so in pre-Windows 8.1 builds.
Is it a new behavior and MSFT wants to get rid of Location feature in newer Windows 10 builds, or it is just a temporary issue because some parts of Windows 10 TP code are based on pre-Windows 8.1 codebase?

Hello everyone,
when sending this message to my b1if scenario i am receiving this error (which says nothing):
Exception : DI Error: (-2010) Internal error (-2010) occurred
This error only occurs when using a warehouse with bin locations. For regular warehouses it works when leaving the <DocumentLinesBinAllocations> away.
What could cause this issue? Just for clarfying: UOMEntry Nr. 2 means that the sales unit contains 5kg of a product.
I would greatly appreciate any help.

The requirement is when the user is doing GRPO, user will select the Bin location to receive the items. When the user given this GRPO details to Store keeper, user has to put the same items in particular bin location.

Sort Order of BIN Location Content Issue

SBO Version 9.0 PL08 HF1
We have an issue with trying to create a stock transfer document from within the 'BIN LOCATION CONTENT' screen. We have selected the option to 'Clear Stock'.
We have sorted the list by Item code and then selected the items we want to include.
We then clicked Stock Transfer > Clear Stock, which then generates a list of items which are either NOT in the order we sorted them by or we not even select on the opening screen.
One thing we have noticed from the system message bar at the bottom is that it has the following message in it:
"One or more selected warehouses or bin locations cannot be cleared or replenished."
This is proving very frustrating so any assistance would be greatly received!

Why can't I load a page by hitting enter after I type it into the location bar? I have to click on the green arrow to load new pages.

When I type a URL into the location bar, I have to click on the green arrow at the right end of the location bar for the new page to load. In previous versions of Firefox you just hit enter to load the new page.

This didn't help my problem. When I restart Firefox in Safe Mode, the problem goes away but none of the other troubleshooting tips help. I noticed today that when I start Firefox in normal mode, I get this error: "TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined." It's a Javascript error, and I also noticed that when I go to the Gmail page in normal mode the cursor isn't automatically placed in the username field like usual. When I start Firefox in safe mode it does this, however.

RF Pick and Pack delivery sequence going by material rather than bin locati

Hi All,
During picking and packing through RF we are entering the TO number and after that packaging barcode. Everything is working fine but transaction has some kind of logic where its taking the warehouse picker around different aisles based upon material rather than bin location.
Transaction for wave/discrete picking doesn't have this problem.
Can someone please advise how to fix this?
