Is it possible to split the text editor ?
and then how to split a screen?

You can arrange the open windows in any way that suits you (assuming you're on Windows - not Touch - or Mac). You can't link the scrolling though.

No - There is no standard (included) tool to do this and from iMovie'08 - 11 - Plug-ins can NOT be used at all
Yes - by use of Picture in Picture and add one field at a time - I do
• Start a New Project to prepare this speific sequence
• Add first Picture
• Export this as a full quality QuickTime .mov
• Import this and put it into a NEW Project
• add next field (Picture in Picture)
• Export
• Import
and repeat this till Your complex sequence is done.
alt. is to prepare this sequence in QuickTime Pro and here You have 99 video tracks that can be run in paralell. But this demands a very carefull plan to be kept to 100% - to be a good result.

I have an IdeaPad U410 with Windows 8 as an Operating system. I would like to know how do you split the screen in two. Also I would like to know if I can put my screen as a touch?

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If you're referring to having an extended display , you will need to have an external monitor and enable extended mode by pressing the Winkey+P and select Extend.
If you want to split the screen to work with 2 documents or 2 windows at a time, you can snap the windows by pressing Winkey+ Left or Right arrow - check this article in reference.

Splitting the screen into 4 in iMovie 9?

Hello,
I would like to show 4 videos at the same time by equally splitting the screen into 4 parts. I have tried using picture-in-picture with a black screen in the background but it appears you can't layer multiple videos with this function.
Suggestions? Can it be done?

Sound and splitting the screen to play on different frames

Hello All, please can somebody assist on how to split the screen to display differently items e.g. TV, Corperate advert, Exchange rates etc.
Another challenge is the sound on the videos are not coming up. When i tested with DMP alone the sound comes up.
I need solution please.

The monitor-in port which you can connect with the composite cable can be used for displaying video from your digital camcorder, video game or video recorder on the internal LCD. It can be used as line-in port to enable the connection of stereo device for audio input.
In my opinion you need additionally this cable to connect the Xbox to the Qosmio with the delivered composite-in cable.

Then to should start the Qosmio with the Monitor-in button which starts the Qosmio player.

I have a macbook pro running 10.6 Snow Leapord, is there a way to split the screen like I could with my old windows computer? So I can watch or surf on one and another task on the other?

My laptop a macbook pro is my only connection with the outside world, I would like to be able if possible to watch or stream video content to my bigscreen tv as I easily can via the 1080 connection available on the two of them.
But I would like to be able to keep the video playing on the external TV screen and use the computer screen to view other content on the web simultainously is that macbook pro posterous or MB Propetually possible?

With the external screen connected and turned on, open the Displays pane in System Preferences. On the screen containing your menu bar, you should now see a Displays preference dialog box with an "Arrangement" tab in it. Click the Arrangement tab. Uncheck the box for "Mirror Displays," or make sure it is already unchecked. In the image within the preferences dialog box you should see two adjoining blue rectangles representing your two screens. A white bar on one representes the menu bar and indicates that that is the primary display. The larger rectangle represents your TV screen. If it's on the right side of the smaller rectangle representing your MBP's screen, then dragging a window off the right side of the built-in screen will move the window onto the TV.
Now open any application window — a web browser window, for example — and drag it by its title bar to move it off the edge of your built-in screen onto the TV screen. Got that? You can do the same thing with any other window, including a DVD Player or VLC window containing a movie that you want to watch.
Things to note: In this dual-display mode, which is called Extended Desktop mode, the menu bar and Dock will always appear on only one of the screens, and you can choose which one they appear on by dragging the white bar representing the menu bar from one rectangle to the other in the System Prefs > Displays > Arrangement tab. You can also set the resolutions of the two screens independently of each other. The highest available resolution on each screen will always provide the sharpest image.

Put the clip(s) of you on 8 different video tracks in the timeline above each other, and the clip of the girl you want in the center on a 9th video track.
Double-click one of the clips to open it into the viewer. Click the motion tab. There, adjust the scale value so it is the right size and the center value so that it is correctly positioned. Repeat for the other 8 video tracks.

when the email page opens the emails are across the screen and most recent at the bottom. I want the most recent at the top of the page and when I open a email want it to display at the right side and not the bottom of the screen

Click on any column header to sort on that column. Click that same header a second time to reverse the sort order.
From the menu bar select View-Layout and select one of the three provided layout arrangements.
No menu bar showing. Press the alt key to make it appear.

Does Pages have a facilty to split the screen?

As a writer, I like to work on two versions of the same document at once. I then select the best version for publication. I can't seem to find out how to do this in Pages.

Two documents with the same name and different endings, like fffvers.1 and fffvers.2.

Is it possible to airplay more than one device at a time, for example splitting the screen into quad-view?

I was told by someone that it is possible to connect up to 4 devices at a time through airplay, but I can't work it out.

No you can't.
Audio can be sent to multiple speakers in some cases (eg from iTunes), but not video.

How do I split the screen to work on 2 documents at one time? I'm using a MacBook Pro 13.3" that is 2 years old and OSX Yosemite
