Splits (Person Assignment) in Network Activity

Hello Experts,
I have planned 10 hrs work in a network activity. After that , In the person assignment tab of Network Activity, I have assigned a person and gave work as 15 hrs.
When I press enter, I got an information message " The work of all the splits is greater than the work in the operation"
How can I make this information message as error message? I could not find in the configuration.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Srini,
Any message if you want to change that from warning or error and vice versa......you have to change the message category in the customozation of " Define system message attributes".
SAP provides these kind of customization for puchasing, process order, inventory and some other function modules.... Unfortunately PS module doesnot have this option.
But it is possible to do so....with the help of ABAP consultant.
Here are some of the inputs....
Goto SE80...ABAP workbench
Call for Repository browser
and then enter package and CY and drill down box which is appear in the left side of your screen.
You can see your message 411 at the right hand part...
With the help of ABAPer...it is possible to do so...

Assignment between network , activity , person , planned number of hours

Hi
In CJ20N , we are doing person assignment against activity
Against activity , in internal tab , we are entering the planned no of hours in the field Work
Similarly , against each person , we enter the splitted time
I need to know , in which Table , we can find the relationship between network , activity , person , planned number of hours (at that person level)

KBED, table for main capacity.
KBEZ, for Split
KPER, person assignment of each period.
There is a correction report ZKBED_DEL of note 542941, You get more details of the relationships of the tables above, if you view (or debug) the codes.

PS Workforce planning, Person Assignment in internal activity.

Hello PS colleagues!
Im trying to use the workforce planning functions but I can not get the screen for person assignment in the internal activity.
I have done this, IMG I go to this path:
Project System -> Structures -> Operative Structures -> Network -> User Interface Settings -> Layout of Activity Detail Screens -> Define layout activity detail screens
Then I create all tab, I copy the standard to my network profile and there is tab 8, in standard is call Admin. then when I try it out it do not appear in the project, I use project builder.
Does any one what more I need to do for this to work??
Please help me out with this.

Person assignment for activity

I'm looking for a function to get the person assignment and update the data.
We are using ECC 6.0 EH4, Does anyone have any idea which function does this functionality ?

Hi Amit ,
There is a consulting note 543362, which clarifies your questions.
Essentially there are following points:
1. the work center need to linked with HR.
2. Enter the work center for the activity.
3. Maintain the work of the activity and run the scheduling, so that the capacity is determined.
Now you see additional tab 'person assignment' of the activity.

Email notification for the Activity Person Assigned

Hi,
I have a query from my client. They want to know the possibility of sending an email notification to the Person Assigned to an activity. Once the activity is REL, system should be able to send email (Outlook email or SAP mail) having the task details to the Person Assigned to that activity.

What does it mean when the color of the values for the "Date" and "Time" fields under the tab "Person Assignment" on an activity element in the project builder (CJ20N) turn red?

I dont suppose we have any option to achieve this at Query Designer level. Your requirement can be achieved in Workbook,
Insert text template in one of the cell in your workbook, context menu--properties-Constant Tab----Check Display last Refreshed. Doing this you will get Date and Time of last refreshed data.

BAPI to upload Person Assignment data under network activity

Can anybody tell me the appropriate BAPI that can upload the data of Person Assignment tab under network activity of Project System(TCode:cj20n)? I.E. data like Split Person Date Time Work Un and others data.

Person Assignment tab in network activity

The person assignment tab in internal network acitvity has a daily view. Shows dates for only 1 day at a time
Can anyone please tell me how to change this view from daily to weekly?

Assignment of default activity type to individual person

Hi All,
I have following scenario.
One maintenance order is created with one operation. Three persons are assigned to the same operation. All these three persons are having different per hour rate and so having different activity types.
I have mentioned all these 3 activity types in assigned workcenter.
But while executing in maintenance order I can assign only one activity type in operation tab and so the same is appearing during time confirmation as default.
I need respective activity types to be appeared by default for each of persons. How can be achived this?

As 3 different activity types are having 3 different per hour rate, it would better to define sub operations based on the activity type & assign the activity types separately for each sub operations.

1. You can create person through Mini-HR. T.COde is PA30. you have maintain following ifotypes 0,1,2,6,7,105 & 315. No need of HR module
2. Create activity type in CO & maintain rate in KP26
3. Create workcenter and assign person & activity type in it.
4. Attach this workcenter in Internal activity
5. Do the workforce planning in CMP2
6. Book the time in timesheet using CAT2
7. Transfer the time to PS using T.code CAT5

Network 4004391 requires assignment to an activity number

I have created PR in PS WBS > Network > Internal Activity > by assignininh material to this Internal activity. While doing this system took to me on settlement rule credation screen for the activity.
Previously it was not system was not taking me to this screen.
Can any body tell me why ?
I alredy maintained settlment profile for the network type having defaule settlment to WBS. And now system status of activity is CRTD SETC SETM
PR created succesfully.
Now when converting PR into PO i am getting folowing error message.
Network 4004391 requires assignment to an activity number.
Message no. KI292
Diagnosis
The given network cannot be assigned without specifying an activity number.
Procedure
Enter the number of the network activity required.

As i am creating PR from PS my a/c assignment category is Q and config for doc type is fine.
I am facing this issue only in QUALITY system, in develoment and production system all is working fine.
Even though settlement profile is attached to network type why system is taking me to settlement rule cteation screen while creating activity ? As i alredy maintained settlement profile then settlement rule shuld be created automatically and system should not take me to that scrren.
And for the PO i am taking reference of the created PR so alredy theres is reference of a/c assignment WBS > Network > acitivity as it is created through PS.
As i said i am facing this issue only in QA and not DEV and PROD i am not able to identify the reason.

How to remove a network activity for one employee from the worklist?

We are using the SAP project system where project resources are assigned network activities. In the worklist in the ESS timesheet, the assigned network activities are displayed for the employee. The problem is when several employees are assigned for a network activity, and one of them no longer should register hours on this activity. How can you remove the assignment (using dates etc.) for only one person so that the network activity no longer is present in his worklist in the timesheet?

Well for this pernr you need to have a special coding to check for network and pernr.
other would be a simple way using cats0003 to validate data an employee records here you can have a individual check
for this pernr that he doesnt record for this activity and throw an error when he does! this is simpler

Person assignment tab

Hi,
Iu2019m not able to get person assignment tab for the activity in cj20n.
I have maintained work and workcenter for each activity.
Can any one help me on this, I have checked note 543362 and have maintained the same.
But i dont know what is missing.

Actually the note 543362 (written by me) should give you all the information. Anyway double check the following again.
1. Is the flag 'capacity requirement' of network set?
2. Is the scheduling for network done?
3. Is the work for activity maintained?
4. Which work center is maintained for involved activtiy. Call CR03 for this work center.
4.1. In work center, in the capacity tab. Is the formular for field 'Other formular' maintained. Default is SAP008
4.2. Click of button 'HR assignment', is the HR resource assigned?
If all the checkitems do not help, you can open a customer message to let SAP have a look.

Consideration of network activity factory calender

Hi,
I am facing problem regarding considering of factory calendar.
scenario: we are assigning the personnel nos in person assignment tab in internal activity. confirmation of activities will be done through CATS. at the time of confirmation it is considering the calender given in work scheduling in HR master data rather considering the factory calendar of network activity.
i require how to select the factory calendar of network activity rather selecting the calendar from work scheduling of HR data.

This is solution for PS without HR integration..............Please do the following steps:
1. Create a person responsible using OPS6
2. Assign a desired factory calender in the particular activity at internal tab of the activity.
3. Then Plan your work and save and release.
4. Then do the confirmation in CATS
