Splitting a renderkit-configuration in two or more files

Hi
I develop a webapplication using JSF with additional components. Some of these components use VML which does only work in IE. To support Firefox we want to use a second renderkit which generates code for a SVG approach of our components.
The problem is that we splitted the components in several modules with an own faces-config.xml for each module. To keep it modular we want to define SVG-renderers for each module in these faces-config-files, too. The SVG-renderer should belong to the same renderkit, so we can easily switch to SVG-output if a user logs in from a Firefox browser.
Have a look at this little example:
/WEB-INF/moduleA/faces-config.xml:
<faces-config>
     <render-kit>
          <renderer>
               <component-family>map</component-family>
               <renderer-type>map</renderer-type>
               <renderer-class>com.example.component.renderkit.vml.MapRenderer</renderer-class>
          </renderer>
     </render-kit>
     <render-kit>
          <render-kit-id>SVG</render-kit-id>
          <render-kit-class>com.sun.faces.renderkit.RenderKitImpl</render-kit-class>
          <renderer>
               <component-family>map</component-family>
               <renderer-type>map</renderer-type>
               <renderer-class>com.example.component.renderkit.svg.MapRenderer</renderer-class>
          </renderer>
</faces-config>/WEB-INF/moduleB/faces-config.xml:
<faces-config>
     <render-kit>
          <renderer>
               <component-family>map</component-family>
               <renderer-type>tool</renderer-type>
               <renderer-class>com.example.component.renderkit.vml.ToolRenderer</renderer-class>
          </renderer>
     </render-kit>
     <render-kit>
          <render-kit-id>SVG</render-kit-id>
          <renderer>
               <component-family>map</component-family>
               <renderer-type>tool</renderer-type>
               <renderer-class>com.example.component.renderkit.svg.ToolRenderer</renderer-class>
          </renderer>
</faces-config>In this case JSF complains about a duplicated renderkit "SVG". If I rename one, both can`t be active at once. Can you tell me how to add further renderers to a renderkit in a separate faces-config?
Thank you for your help!

Most likely, you do everything right and will get what you want.
JSF does complains about a duplicated renderkit "SVG", but notifies you that definition from the two configuration files will be merged.
This merge is not a problem. It is a normal behavior described int he specification.
From the first sight, I do not see any conflicts in your files. As a result of merge you should have two renderes in the default render kit and two renderers in the SVG render kit.

    Hi,
    pick activity is not working properly while creating two or more file adapter for bpel process.
    bpel process compiled and deployed succesfully but while observing the wsdl file of deployed process you can find only one file adapter. so it polls only from that location.
    can anybody help on over this? or it's limitation of jdev to use only one file adapter at time while using Pick.

  • CS4 - Book using two or more files

    I am using CS4 and need to set up a book (I know how to do that) that encompasses two or more files.  In File 1 I have a text block placed across a two page spread.  The last column will be a page number pointing to a specific page in File 2.
    Question 1:  How do I get File 1 to link to the specific page in File 2?
    Question 2:  Is there a way so that if the page in File 2 moves within the file, to have the reference in File 1 change?
    Question 3:  Is there perhaps a tutorial for this?
    Question 4:  Am I correct in that if this works I will be able to output a PDF with internal links in place?
    Cordially,
    A. Wayne Webb

    Afternoon Peter,
    Thank you for the responses.  I am taking four old timey reference works and combining them into one modern book.  The text pages represent three sets of records merged together.  I will end up with an Indesign "book" containing four files: front matter, text, survey images, and an index.  I am guessing it will be somewhere around 600 pages or so.  As for InDesign crashing, it has happened all too often.  And on this computer it has happended twice.  'Tis a brand new computer that I home-built with all the best toys.  It cost me northward of $3,900 and everything was installed fresh.  As for others and the "crash and trash" problem, it has been written about so often as to seem normal workflow for ID.
    The "1, 2, 3" numbers represent the page of the second portion of the PDF (the surveys / File 2). Clicking on a number, when it is correct, takes you to the survey image.  Clicking on the survey image takes you back to the text entry.  I can easily set the view in the options of the hyperlink or cross reference.
    The end of it is that I after I have the text and the images in place in File 1 and File 2, I will have to manually come back and update the "1, 2, 3" references.  InDesign, at least my version, cannot handle automatically updating the links and numbers.
    As for your last thought, yeah, as soon as I win the lottery.  I will figure this one out though.
    Cordially,
    A. Wayne Webb

  • Having two or more personal configuration files on IDS

    Hello,
    I would like to know how to create two ini files under the docserv folder. the reason for this is to for dap.ini to run two different ini files.  This set-up is done for ETPM and has a link of java for the batches of IDS.
    Please help...

    This is pretty simple. The dap.ini specifies the INI files to use for each configuration and the request to IDS has to specify attachment variable CONFIG= to switch between configurations.
    Examples:
    This is from dap.ini:
    [ Config:100AIC ]
        INIFile         = .\mstrres\Amergen\A_100\AIC_100.ini
        INIFile         = .\mstrres\Amergen\AIC.INI
    [ Config:200AIC ]
        INIFile         = .\mstrres\Amergen\A_200\AIC_200.ini
        INIFile         = .\mstrres\Amergen\AIC.INI
    Multiple INI files can be specified for each configuration. The INI options from these configuration files are loaded first and then the dap.ini options are added. Works much like FSIUSER/FSISYS combination where config INI file(s) are treated like FSIUSER and dap.ini as FSISYS.

  • I need a Billing split when deliveries included in billing are more than 21

    Hello all!
    Does anybody know how to customize this?
    I need following configuration: When there are more then 21 deliveries I need SAP to create two invoices automatically!
    Can anybody help me please on this topic?
    Thank you very much,
    Dominik, Chile

    Dear Dominik
    As you would be aware you can club multiple deliveries into one invoice, if the following are same in all preceding documents.
    -  Payer
    -  Inco terms
    -  Payment term
    -  Actual GI Date
    -  Exchange rate in case of export order
    If all the above are same but still you want an invoice split, then you have to take the help of ABAPer and include a logic as per your requirement.
    Of course, invoice split is also based on copy control you maintain in VTFL.
    thanks

  • How to do Apache configuration for two different domains

    Hi ,
    I was just trying out some clustering workshop on weblogic. I faced a issue..here is the scenario :
    I have two clusters :
    Cluster1 : 3 managed servers (server1,server2,server3)
    Cluster2 : 2managed servers (server4,server5)
    I have two sample applications which i have deployed on these two clusters i.e app1 on cluster1 and app2 on cluster2.
    These two aplications are deployed successsfully as i am able to open these applicatons from browser by calling the individual port of the managed server like : http://localhost:7003/app1.
    Now i have installed a apache server on my laptop and configured the http.conf file.
    Issue : I am not able to call both the application from apache. If there is only one cluster then it is working fine and for two application only one cluster (application) is working that too whose port is defined in the last.
    Here are the contents of my httpd.conf file :
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do not begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
    # will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    # at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2"
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to

    This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?
    Try something like this ...
    <Location /app1>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicCluster 127.0.0.1:7003,127.0.0.1:7005,127.0.0.1:7007,127.0.0.1:7103,127.0.0.1:7104

  • Sync audio with two different video files to create split screen

    I want to sync two different video files to a high quality audio file and create a split screen from there in Final Cut Pro X. Help please?

    I'm following along at home, Tom, trying to make sense out of your instructions. (Editorially: This kind of operation is among the reasons I thoroughly loathe FCPX.) This would have been easy in FCP7. Perhaps it's actually the same amount of work (you are describing operations in FCPX I have not bothered to try yet—too scared) but it's far more direct the old way: Find sync points for all three files, stack them up in a timeline, nudge till precisely matched, apply effects.
    But I'm glad you're here to help us through this stuff!

  • Two or More parameters in the SQL Source Window

    Hi,
    I have a Crystal Reports which uses an SQL Query as the source. I have a Report Date Range in the Crystal Reports but I want to improve the performance by embedding the parameter in the SQL Command. One parameter in the SQL Command is fine but more than that, I'm getting the following error:
    Failed to retrieve data from the database.
    Details: ORA-00911 : invalid character
    Database Vendor Code: 911
    Is there a configuration that I should do before adding two or more parameters?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The expression is something like this:
    ... where CLOSED_DATE >= {?Start Date} and CLOSED_DATE <= {?End Date}
    I also tried to use the BETWEEN IN function but got the same error. The CLOSED_DATE, Start Date, and End Date are Date Time.
    Thanks.

  • Split one Post OFfice in two parts

    Hi there!
    I have problems with my Poa, because I'm having problems with I/O. Despite of all,
    my POA is about 250 GB and I think that it's pretty big. So I have a lot of "batch users"
    that are receiving a lot of emails with low priority, and I am thinking in split my post office
    in two parts:
    1) personal/phyisical users (humans): my actual post office. With SAN storage (expensive)
    and priority backups.
    2) non humans: batch users, iScsi storage , cheap and only a backup in saturday.
    The question is: I saw that there is a procedure to move an user from one post office
    to another, but these users have a lot of proxy accesses and rules. These options
    are saved in the move? I mean, there are rules for forward emails to users in post office 1).
    Does the system relocalize these users from post office 2) in post office 1) ?
    I know that the best test would test with one test user... but just in case.
    Thank you all!

    instead of putting a lot of effort into splitting this little
    PostOffice into two, how about looking at the I/O challenges as fixing
    them might be much more effective. Might even help you elsewhere as
    well.
    What plateform are you running on? Hypervisor? What is the storage
    access type?
    What are the particular I/O challenges you are hitting?

  • How to split the AP invoice into two invoices

    Dear All..,
    Can you tell how can i split the AP vendor invoice which i was posted erlier..i want spil the invoice into two invoices to pay the partial payment to some amount..
    For ex : i have poste one invoice with 50000/- rs..and now i want to split this doc into two like 30000 and 20000, and i want to made the payment for through APP for 30000..
    Can you tell me the step how to do this..
    Advanced thanks
    Bhargav

    If you reverse the original vendor invoice ( credit memo), you can create a new vendor invoice by splitting the amounts with different payment methods. This way APP will pick up only required amount.
    Amount split in vendor invoice can be done by activating "Enable amount split" in OBY6 configuration. This will give you an additional tab "Amount split" in vendor invoice.
    Hope this helps

  • Two or more people editing at the same time

    Dear All,
    I am planning to purchase FCP Server, and I am just in a very beginning of consideration.
    Immediately, I am wondering if FCP Server can let two or more people editing on the same project at the same time.
    I know it has Check-in function, and it seems to me that it just takes the project to another computer to do editing. What if another person wants to do editing on the same project?
    Also, if it allows us many people to do editing on the same project, can we save the project at the same time on the same computer installed FCP Server?
    Please advise.
    Many thanks in advance.
    King

    In Final Cut Server (FCSvr) checking out a Final Cut Pro project (FCProj) creates a copy of the project file at a location you specify saving it to on your local computer. When you check out a FCProj, the project asset is locked and cannot be modified by other users. Additionally, every media asset that is used in the project is locked from being modified by other users.
    However in a you're trying to have multiple users work on and edit the same project, I'd suggest start by duplicating the FCProj asset within FCSvr. Maybe start with a master capture / digitize project that contains all the media needed to work on by both editor. This will allow for multiple editors to have access to the same project media assets. In any scenario where multiple editors are collaborating, I'd suggest have them also work on separate project file and maybe split / divi up the work, based on scene, act etc.
    Sequences can be easily merge between project later.
    Hope this helps.

  • Did you know how to link the text in two or more text boxes?

    Did anyone know how to link the text in two or more text boxes in Pages 5.0? Thanks for your answer.
    Qualcuno sa come collegare il testo in due o più caselle di testo nella versione 5.0 di Pages. Grazie per le vostre risposte.

    It's just one of the many, many features that have been eliminated or changed. Leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu and review & rate the new versions in the Mac App Store.
    If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done.
